My name is Shannon Layne, and I'm the author of the "He Said, She Said" series and the "Beverly Hills Prep" series, both by ABDO Publishing.

I graduated from UC Davis in 2014, and I was born and raised in Humboldt County, CA. I am currently engaged to my wonderful fiancee, Emily, and together we have a dog, Blue, and a cat, Peter Pants.

Some of my favorite authors are Pat Conroy, the ever-fabulous JK Rowling, Tamora Pierce, Nora Roberts, and Neil Gaiman, to name a few. Part of a great new series of hi/lo novels by ABDO/EPIC Book publishers. I think this series is going to go over very big with ELL readers as they are always looking for romance. This story was very well told and believable.

I love books that have multiple point of views and this one was fantastic. The relatability is what drew me in, I love teen romance novels that have substance and include things other teens know about and relate to or maybe they have heard of and don't quite understand yet because it is easier to read a novel about it then a ten page research paper.
