My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!

The cover is definitely intriguing to anyone who likes shifter reads :) It would make me pick it up off a shelf :)
This is the second book in the serial novella shifter series Forbearance. Just in case in do not know what a serial is, it is a like a book that is published in parts or episodes which means it takes all the parts to get the whole story. Some people like serial and others not, you have to make up your own mind, but make sure you read the parts in order :) This serial is not complete, so that means that waiting is involved in between each part, and it usually entails a cliffhanger at the end of each part. If this bothers you, wait until the serial is complete before reading it :) Also this is for adults only due to the steamy scenes and violence.
I really like this serial because it has all sorts of action and drama to keep you engaged throughout the read. Mary is having trouble keeping her bear in check being a new shifter. Mary and Jackson have a very steamy relationship. We have all the brothers in this part, plus some new shifters to get to know. I do have to admit that I was screaming at the end of this book where it left off. I hope I don’t have to wait long to see what happens next.
I recommend this series to those of us who love a good bear shifter read and to those who don’t mind it in the form of a serial :) Off to find something new to read :)

Conquering the bear within
The second installment of Forbearance sees Mary coming to grips with her new bear. Uncontrollable rages, bouts of lust and crying jags have Mary’s emotions yo-yoing her about. It’s not easy learning to control this new consciousness inside. In a supreme effort to help Mary come to terms and learn control Jackson and the clan try to keep Mary at the edge of exertion. And it’s working, slowly but steadily Mary is getting it together. Except one wee little problem, they’ve been exposed and now there is video out there on the news. Just about the time she thinks she’s getting a handle on things the clan is attacked by another band of bears.
Welcome a seeming never do well, pervert alpha from Jackson’s past. While Mason is a wise cracking smart ass that just can’t seem to keep from making inappropriate comments to Mary, it soon becomes clear his behavior is a front. With Mason come a set a teenage twins that are a bit of a handful. Now Mary not only has the challenge of getting her own bear under control but she’s got two young males to mentor along their journey as well. It’s a darn good thing that Jackson is more than up to the task of taking on the extra challenge. This is one male Mason could definitely stand to learn a thing or two from.
Thoughts that the outcast who turned Mary isn’t in the nearby vicinity are quickly dispelled when reports of a lone male grizzly is reported on the edge of their territory. Plans to hunt the outcast are made. This installment ends on a bit of a tragic cliff hanger. Even so with my aversion to serials and cliff hangers I’m looking forward to seeing how Mary and Jackson finally deal with the outcast and their expanding clan in Forbearance 3 . This book was received in exchange for an honest review.

"Spine-tingling shifter Romance"
This series is so awesome!. The characters are very fantastic!. In book one Mary a spunky plus size Gal is Attacked by a Bear shifter and turned. Mary now turns into a Grizzly bear. She has no control over it , but a fellow bear shifter Jackson finds her and helps her. Jackson's brothers in his clan are smaller types of bears, but Jackson is another grizzly lol. Of course you get two horny Bears together and the sparks fly!. There is a couple of problems one Mary's bear self wants to attack the smaller bears because she is having trouble controlling her. Plus the Rouge who had attacked Mary wants to take her for his mate. One of the little bears accidentally gets Mary's bear after him and they run to near a roadway where they are video taped by a trucker. Now they have more worries!. This book is stocked full of humor,suspense,action and steamy Romance!. This is another must read book! Claudia M. Farrell is such an amazing writer!.

Trying to keep her bear in check is a pain in butt. But Mary is trying hard. After a mishap in the woods and on a public road. She is peeved with herself. She hopes that Jackson can help her some more. But a old friend of his strolls in and ruins some plans. And where is the rouge grizzly? Why isn't he around and after her?

I wasted very little time jumping in to continue reading Jackson and Mary's story. I immediately dove in after finishing the first book in the series, for an all night binge reading marathon. In book 1 we are faced with somewhat of a double plot, as we are reading from 2 POVs. We get closure in one aspect, but are left with a world of questions in another. Forbearance 2, starts where book one ended, and does not disappoint in covering what I was left wondering. There is more action, new adventure, new characters, new conflicts and a thickening plot. Mary has only shifting into a bear for a week, and is just barely getting the hang of things, when a strange clan of bears shows up in Jackson's territory. This book, sigh, this book was great! I had so much fun watching the story unfold. I am anxiously awaiting book 3.

This book was given to me as an ARC and I really loved it. Claudia did it again leaving me hanging to find out what comes next and can't wait to see what happens. If you read the fist one you surely will love the 2nd one.

2 book and it was great:
Last we saw Mary, a run away who was attacked by a grizzly at a rest stop and pretty much left for dead until the cops found her and took her to the hospital. As she's healing, in walks Jackson, a sexy handsome stranger that heard about what had happened to her and has come to save her from her change. With no time to explain to Mary, he takes her to his cabin in the woods where he shares it with is other clan/bear brothers.
Book 2
Now shows how Mary is still struggling to reign her bear without killing anyone in Her and Jackson's clan, but the more she tries the harder it seems for him to keep her protected and not lose her to those in the outside world or even in their shifter world.
When she is out on a run with her love, Jackson, things go from good, to bad to worse when she and another bear are spotted out in the open, they get video of these mysterious bears. For humans they are just bears, but for shifters, well that's another story.
Now Jackson and his brothers have to do is keep Mary from outcast grizzly that seems to know her and Jackson's every move. With the visit of an old friend, Jackson has to keep an eye on Mason as he wonders at first if he's the one following them, but Jackson and Mary are dealt a painful blow when they lose one of their kind, throwing Jackson into a rage and determined to find out who is after his beloved Mary.
Great Job Claudia and can't wait to read the next installment of the Forbearance Series :)

Whilst recovering she meets Jackson, who explains what's happened and takes her back to live with him and his clan. There he teaches her to live with her bear and control it, which she finds challenging. Just when she's getting the hang of it, one of Jackson's old friends turn up and adds to the craziness.
Jackson is a alpha Grizzly, his powerful and his protective. He lives in an abandoned summer camp with his five clan brothers and now his mate, Mary. Mary was attacked and changed, now she's having trouble controlling her bear. With her change and the outcast still unaccounted for, things are challenging enough. Then a friend from the past turns up with his clan brothers, looking for help. When tragedy strikes Jackson is devastated.
I really enjoyed part 2. I liked the concept of this story, it's interesting and different. This author has a unusual take on shifters in this story which I really enjoyed. I loved all the characters. Lots of potential. I found that Jackson and Mary's relationship had much more emotion than in part 1 and you could see their relationship developing, and worked better that part 1. My only upset is the tragedy. Even though Mason was an arrogant arse, when he was playing with the children you could see the love he would have had for his own and at times you could see the vulnerability in him, so when his attacked it was quiet devastating for me. Really enjoyable read! Best read in order!

And the excitement just keeps going. Mary is trying to control her inner bear. Poor Jackson, one of the ways to keep her under control is with sex. What a burden for him to bear.
They have the day to day issues with the clan, Mary adapting to a family and her bear who really wants to be a loner. The bear brothers in the clan are learning to adapt to the new Alpha female with Jackson.

Loving this second book in the series.
Kate is still struggling to keep control of her bear side but with Jackson's help she's slowly winning and when Mason,an old "friend" of Jackson, turns up with twin bear shifters it looks like trouble has landed on their doorstep !
Then there's the rogue bear shifter who was responsible for the attack on Mary, despite the clans searches he remains as elusive as ever, who is he ? What exactly does he want ? And what's he waiting for ?
The thing I enjoy about this shifter book is the way the author portrays the difficulty Kate is having coming to grips with becoming a shifter, with most other books in the genre, becoming a shifter seems to be as easy as changing your clothes so this is a refreshing change. The introduction of the new faces and the continuing presence of a rouge lurking in the background keep this book interesting and intriguing. Kate is still struggling to keep control of her bear side but with Jackson's help she's slowly winning and when Mason,an old "friend" of Jackson, turns up with twin bear shifters it looks like trouble has landed on their doorstep !
Then there's the rogue bear shifter who was responsible for the attack on Mary, despite the clans searches he remains as elusive as ever, who is he ? What exactly does he want ? And what's he waiting for ?
The thing I enjoy about this shifter book is the way the author portrays the difficulty Kate is having coming to grips with becoming a shifter, with most other books in the genre, becoming a shifter seems to be as easy as changing your clothes so this is a refreshing change. The introduction of the new faces and the continuing presence of a rouge lurking in the background keep this book interesting and intriguing. With the way this one ended I'm definitely looking forward to book 3.

The second book in the exciting continuation of the Jackson and Mary story. Full of hot bear shifter sex and sexy bear shifters.
Mary still trying to get a grip on her bear, before she hurts someone or herself. Finds this is not easy to do. Jackson and his pack are there to help her as much as they can. While Mary is trying to get her bear under control she is being stalked by the rouge bear that attacked her.
When an unfortunate incident happens while Mary’s bear is in control, an unexpected visitor in the shape of Mason Jackson’s friend and cell mate. He brings with him twin teen bears that aren’t in control of their bears either Mason is wanting Jacksons help in getting the bears under control.
While out hunting the rouge bear Jackson and Mason find the camp of the rogue.
Forbearance is a great read I would advise that you read them in order to full appreciate the storyline. Having received the ARC for an honest review I feel happy to recommend this series to any paranormal romance lover.

we rejoin mary and jackson. mary is having a hard time balancing her human side and her newly discovered grizzly bear. they don't always agree but thanks to jackson and his clan the change isn't as hard as it could be. when doing one of their rare daylight runs, one of their own is attacked. when the rest of them come to his rescue, it is to find some one from jackson's past visiting him in the now. once everyone is settled and every one has made their point, they gather up and update each other on how things stand.
as it turns out mason's reason for coming down wasn't just to check up on jackson's clan but to also ask for help with the twins in his own clan. a deal is made so they can help each other.
they're on high alert again since it's clear the bearshifter that has attacked mary is still snooping around.
will they find him? will he be friendly? big changes are about to happen.
if you liked the first book, this is a must read to know how the pair continue to grow, how the clan grows and how this story unfolds.

Love this series; the author has done such an amazing job.
Mary is really battling with her bear. If her bear is not angry and wanting to kill her clan it is craving Jackson. All Mary wants is to be able to get some control in her life. She hates feeling emotional and so out of control.
Jackson really has his hands full trying to deal with Mary and it seems Jamie has a way to provoke her bear as well which adds to the problem. Jackson however enjoys how much Mary’s bear craves him. He is so happy that he has found his mate.
The outcast bear that turned Mary is no doubt going to try to come for Mary. Jackson will do anything in his power to protect Mary, even if it cost him is life. Will Jackson be able to protect Mary from this outcast? Will Mary be able to control her bear? Will Jamie ever grow up and stop provoking Mary’s bear?
This is an amazing series and cannot wait for book 3. If you love shifter books then this is a must read.

Mary has gotten used to Jamie's wise cracks, but her bear hasn't. The two are at each other's throats until they almost expose the clan. They still haven't found the outcast, but scent him every now and then. Then while Mary and Jackson are out for a run they come across a grizzly attacking Niran Mee. Is this unknown bear him? Can they fight and win against him?
Favorite passage: I no longer wanted to hit pillows or cry my eyes out, thankfully. I was tired of constantly feeling like a two-year-old on the verge of total emotional collapse.

Wow this just keeps getting better. I do not know how I am going to review this without ruining the story for you. suffice to say it is one dam good book and I love the new take on wear-Bears. Mary being the first ever female is unique. In this book we get to meet another small clan of bear shifters. along with a old friend of Jacksons. Which is quite a comical meeting as they meet in bear form and have to shift to human ( naked Human form at that) boy was he in for a surprise. when she transformed, it was quite funny. This book was funny engaging and quite a good read. If you have not read book one you need to get it first.
I hope you enjoy this book as Much as I did.

This book continues the story of Mary and Jackson.
Mary is an abuse survivor, runaway, tough, witty damaged girl that is basically living on the kindness of strangers or trading her body for what she needs. It's during another trade that she is attacked resulting in her being turned into a bear shifter.
In this 2nd book of the series we find Mary suffering from rage and wild lust, with Jackson and his bear brothers trying to help her learn to control her new abilities. On top of that they have also the trouble of having to keep her a secret from the world as well as other bear shifters.
This is a really good series. It will pull a range of emotions from you as you read it. I highly recommend this book for reading.

I have really enjoyed the series so far. This second book is still showing Mary struggling to deal with her bear. The others have had a lifetime to adjust and she was thrust into this world thru a recent attack. She shares more of her past with Jackson which I hope will strengthen their relationship. The media gets some video during one period where she loses control and that brings another band of shifters to the area. You are not sure what to make of them and how big a threat they will be to Mary and Jackson. Mary's attacker is still out there and is very much a threat to everyone. I look forward to seeing where it all goes in the third part. There are a lot of unanswered questions at this point.

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
Once again i can't say that the story thrilled me.
Its not that i didn't like it or that i liked it.
I find it a bit tiring and at points i really wanted to leave the book but then the
story progressed and things started to get intresting and as things started to get intrested it was over.
Mary is making me mad and i want to slap her most of the times.Besides being horny,moody and flat out boring she has nothing else for me as a character.
were Jackson and his boys are funny and intresting and have lots of nice traits...even Mason and his boys are intresting and promisng as characters.
Its a weird feeling...still i would read the next part...want to see what is going to happen

Well Mary is starting to control her bear a tiny bit, but there is absolutely nothing she can do about her when she wants some hot sex with Jackson! Jackson has no complaints about that!
In comes Mason an old pal of Jackson's and he is really getting on Mary's nerves with his flirting, plus he has twin cubs with him who are a bit uncontrollable like Mary, well not exactly like Mary.
Jackson is still very worried about that Rogue, wondering where the heck he is, but now he has Mason to help him on his search. Hopefully they can catch his scent and find his hideout once and for all.
Lots of laughs in this book and lots of sizzling passion.

Mary continue to struggle with her bear and things with her and Jackson continue to heat up! Just when it looks like they might be working out a mistake ends up with a chase and all of them getting caught on film exhibiting “strange bear behavior”, luckily, it is not the highlight of the news and seems to blow over until an associate of Jackson’s shows up with twin brothers looking for help. When the newcomers realize Mary is what she is friction develops making Jackson edgy, with that and still no definitive signs of the rogue the atmosphere at camp is tension filled to say the least. Jackson and Mason decide to go out hunting the outcast rogue bear and find his nest but not without retaliation from the rogue. Can’t put this down and will be on pins and needles till part 3!

Totally worth the read!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC, and now have to wait patiently for #3. I have really fallen for Jackson with loyalty for his bears and his patience and passion for Mary. I feel like I can get in Mary's head and battle her bear with her and feel her ups and downs. I want to kick her bears a$$ when she gets angry and I love her bear when she's around Jackson. Lol. # 2 goes further into Mary's bear battle and getting in with her pack. She also has to learn to deal with new outside pack Bears when they come to visit and she still has her outcast bear after her lurking waiting. It's suspenseful. It's passionate. It's deadly. Read it to find out for yourself.

May 11, 2015I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. I love this book. It is exciting, romantically hot, and mysterious. Mary was attacked at a rest area in Montana. She survived. Jackson picks her up at the hospital just in time, because she turns into a grizzly later that night. Mary is having problems with her new bear, and can't gain control over her bear. Addington the mix another Alpha, two Kodiak twin cubs and the other bear, and hang on to your seat, because you are in for a wild ride!!! I can't wait for the next one! The characters are engaging and hot! Get this book, you'll never find a better read. They have true feelings

Jackson and Mary and their clan are back but someone named Mason and his clan come to Jacksons den to find out due to the televised show of bears being revealed . but what of the outcast . is that maybe Mason or someone else and what is Mason's real reason on visiting Jackson . and what will Mary do will she decide to have cubs with Jackson or not . and will Mason and his clan brothers stay or go and can they control Mason's clan brothers with one who can get angry and the other sad or in an emotional state . and has Mary got control of her bear now or does she have to work more to control it . this is an ARC review can't wait til book 3 to come out .

Now that Jackson has taken Mary under his wing he is trying to help her gain the upper hand at controlling her bear. Mary still struggles with her bear and the fact her hormones are out of control.
The author gave the characters very good interaction.This is definitely a book that I could not put down.

This is the second part of this multi-part serial. I was so excited to get this and once I started and I could not put it down, was so excited to get this
I am still in love with the two main characters Mary and Jackson. I really like continued development of their story, their romance and how they will face whatever comes their way.
The additional characters that have been added they added a new layer of depth to the storyline.

Mary is having problems controlling her bear and it seems that Jamie keeps provoking every time he comes around. The whole clan went on a day time run to calm her bear and then they find their selves in the present of humans taking pictures of them. Trouble seems to follow Jackson and Mary around. Jackson is trying to keep her safe while the out cast bear is taunting him trying to take his mate away. Old friends of Jackson comes around and not sure if he can trust them or if they are enemies? Over all I love reading this book!!!
