As far as he’s concerned, after helping to rescue the mate of his former teammate, he’s done his good deed for the decade. Now he simply wants to retreat to the woods where he can drop off the radar of those looking to kill him.
Then news reaches him of a woman in danger and he can’t help but rescue the damsel in distress. Whether or not he believes it, she is his future, and he’s in no condition to meet his mate. It's been too long since he’s seen to his manly needs, and way too long without shifting—he’s a tense, grumpy mess on the verge of losing control of his bear side. One small stop on the way shouldn’t interfere with fate too much, right?

This is another short read in this series. Though these are short books, the stories have been good so far. I listened to this via audiobook and it was told in Weston’s point of view via solo narration and was narrated by Mason Lloyd who always does a great job. Weston is a bear shifter with a few different animals mixed in, but mostly he shifts into a bear and he has some psychic abilities to see into the future.
Weston’s friend Casey brings two old guys, Gus and Billy to see Weston, they are crazy old guys who are psychic and they tell Weston that his mate is in trouble in Seattle and waiting for him. So he gets on a plane with the two old guys and goes to find her. Though it has been a while since he had a woman so he and a friend Bane, go to a brothel to get a woman and calm down a bit, but that is where he meets his succubus mate, Paisley who has been taken hostage while looking for her missing friend. The story is pretty detailed for how short it is and I really liked it.
This series keeps getting better and better !! Why is this series soo epic. Shapeshifters rock my world but succubus that feed off sex emotions but is actually a virgin baby what the cuss!! This book almost made me lose control 🥰!!
Weston aka the boss and Paisley the succubus not the flower 🌸 were a dynamite 🧨 pair. I love that these fated mates had a special smell that only they could recognize. I appreciate that even though there are so many fated mates pairs these stories don’t get boring.
Quick read, almost felt like a filler in the series.. I would've hope that Weston and Paisley had something to contribute on the quest of defeating The Corporation... Their story just opens up to more and more questions..
Good thing Bill and Gus were there to add more fun to the story
I like Mandy's writing and most of her series'. This book is typical of a shifter romance. Danger, fighting and alpha sex. If you enjoy shifter romances, you will enjoy this one.
I love this series. The mate attraction is instant and hot. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was Weston pissed me off . Gus and Bill are hilarious and I laughed quite a few times at their antics. I wish it was longer and the story meted out a little more. I felt I was missing a few things. Overall, it was a cute, quick read.
Damage Report (Immortal Outcasts #2) is another great Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance. This short story is fast paced, and action packed and absolutely fun in-between. Weston is a former Immortal Op soldier and like the others has been genetically altered into a bear-shifter. His mate Paisley is a succubus and together they are the most unlikely pair, but they work. Casey and Gus &Bill are along for the journey and they absolutely crack me up.
I am addicted to these books and can’t get enough of them, I just wished that Mandy made them longer.
Damage Report is the second book in Immortal Outcasts,Mandy Roth's spinoff series to the Immortal Ops/PSI Ops series. I really love the characters in this series, they are all viewed as a bit damaged by those who create them and are now trying to destroy their "mistakes". Weston Carol, a were-bear has been hiding off grid happily when he resurfaces to save the mate of a fellow outcast, Casey. Now that he can return to his comfy life of solitude, Casey shows up to warn Weston that not only does he have a mate, but that she is in grave danger. Towing along with Casey are sidekicks Bill and Gus, slightly off, strange and affected themselves by whatever was done to them during the experiments, they provide many hilarious moments throughout the book. Both are also quite important as they have powers of prediction and sight.
Weston might be annoyed by Gus and Bill to the point that he threatens to eat them, but he knows they may very well be correct and he must act to save this mate they say he has.
Paisley is a strong women who knows she is somewhat "more" than human, and has yet to figure out that she is a succubus despite the hunger she is able to feed from the energy she soaks up in dance/sex clubs. Desperately looking for her missing friend, Gayle, Paisley goes looking in the sex club where Gayle works. This is where Paisley runs into an all too sexy bear shifter who insists she is his mate. As hunky and gorgeous as this alpha shifter Paisley is wildly attracted to she is determined to let him know she is not a push over or weak dependent woman. It was nice to see this couple realize fairly early on what they are to each other, accept their fates and face the dangers that await them together. Bill and Gus are major highlights in the story who even manage to grow on the grumpy Weston. Another character is introduced, Bane, and I am hoping we will be getting his story In the near future. This was an exciting sexy enjoyable paranormal romance that is a great addition to the Immortal Outcasts. Suggest the books be read In order, they may be short on length but are surprisingly big on story.
Book: Damage Report Series: Immortal Outcasts, Book 2 Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance Author: Mandy M. Roth Rating: 4 stars out of 5
Weston is a were-bear. As an immortal "failed experiment" he has been hiding and lived off grid. After he helped saving Casey mate he was ready to return to his life of solitude. After another premonitory dream Weston is warned by Gus that his mate is in danger and must go to Seattle to save her.
Weston had no choice but to bring Bill and Gus. With Gus's psi powers and Bill's craziness the trip took a toll on Weston's patience. I had fun with the funny moments throughout the book specially when Weston was threatening to eat Gus and Bill. I have yet to figure out their role in the plot besides the obvious powers of predicting the future.
Paisley knows she is "more" than human but and has yet to figure out what she is exactly. She has been living off the sexual energy from the sex club for supernaturals run by Jinx. When Paisley's friend Gayle disappears and Jinx's place is taken by vampires she finds herself in trouble.
My favorite moment was when Weston met with Paisley in the sex club. Weston's alpha attitude didn't work for to long specially when Paisley made him admit his reasons for being there. Is was fun to see a big domineering guy afraid of his mate's reaction and judgement.
Great book 2. Now I have more questions about Seattle and how the hybrids are made at such a fast pace. I hope Bane will get his book and see where everything goes.
Boomer, Boomer, Boomer! Miles you werecat you! It was good to know that this tortured man finally found someone who made him feel life worth living. I enjoyed visiting with the gang again and interested in his new vampire-mate, Haven. The story was quick read and ended too soon for me. Left me wanting more of these immortals. Auberi and the super vampires mentioned in the story really tweaked my interest. I look forward to the next book in this series.
This is Weston and Paisley's story. It was basically about two people who were thinking with their hormones despite being in dire straits. I did not feel that it added anything to the series storyline and the ending was abrupt. Thumbs down on this one.
Damage Report is the second title in the Immortal Outcasts portion of the Immortal Ops World and brings Weston, Bill, and Gus back into our lives as they search for Weston’s mate who is in dire danger.
Weston has been having dreams of a woman in danger and suspects it’s his mate but has no clue how to find her. Luckily for him an oddball couple of this world, Bill and Gus have slipped away from headquarters in search of Weston to get him to Seattle where his mate truly needs him to show up and save her.
Paisley has no idea that she has a succubus within, she only knows for certain that she needs to be around the sexual energy that Jinx’s old brothel once provided for her. But Jinx is gone across the country with her new love, Paisley’s friend Gayle is missing and something vile and dangerous now makes Jinx’s old place their own these days. She’s about to find out just how horrendous these creatures are when Weston and crew show up – and maybe Weston was heading to the brothel before he knew that Paisley was there – he’s got some explaining to do to his mate on that one.
Damage Report is fast, a quick story that while I enjoyed didn’t quite fit what I expected for Weston’s story. But, it’s not my world to create but to enjoy as it comes to me. We meet a few new characters, get a bit of a heads-up on the next mate to be found, and then the story is done. I think that even understanding that the Outcasts have had even more testing done on them making their enhancement sometimes out of control, it just didn’t sit well that Weston intended to head to Jinx’s not really knowing that’s where his mate was at and in immediate danger. That’s me, and my reaction – you make up your own mind.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. However, these series are coming out of KU in November of 2020 – when they will be available on all vendors.
Short and not exactly moving the series forward. A bit of a filler but at least the price reflected that fact. A bit of a farce in how it plays out but I enjoyed Gus and Bill. They made the story for me. No real connection build up between Paisley and Weston. They meet, they have sex. Hey presto, Hubby and Wife. Pity as I had a soft spot for Weston but he blew it in his own story. The hero stops at a brothel to have sex whilst on his way to save his unknown mate. I struggled with this part a lot and though it works out well, the intent was there. Paisley does pull him up about this fact but it gets pushed aside. I would have loved Paisley to have given him more grief. The heroine Paisley, is hanging round Jinx’s old brothel for two reasons. Her friend who worked there has gone missing and Paisley is part succubus and needs the energy. Paisley doesn’t know about her other side, she just knows she is different. Paisley knows the new management is not safe and seems surprised when she finds herself locked up and in danger. DUH. When Weston arrives at the brothel, he of course smells his mate, tracks her down and then it gets a bit farcical. Jinx’s old brothel is apparently now being run by a nasty shifter or something, we don’t actually find out who/what yet. Maybe in a later book. I had not read this book before so this is flavoured due to the fact I am rereading these books in chronological order. Some reviews are being updated or left as is, others are new like this one.

Weston .. the Bear shifter who helped Harmony & Casey ... just wants to go back into solitude. Casey ruins that, when he tells Weston his mate is in trouble ... courtesy of Gus. Gus and Bill accompany Weston to Seattle, where they meet up with another Outcast Bane (Gorilla Shifter).
Comedy ensues whenever Bill and Gus are involved, and These Alpha Outcasts in particular, have a need for sexual release, or they loose control of their shifter sides. Both Weston and Bane have pushed themselves to the limit, and decide to "take the edge off" before searching in earnest for his supposed mate.
Paisley - who has succubus tendencies - is at Jinx's former club ... looking for information about her BFF Gayle, who's been out of communication - which is not like her. She's nervous, as a new faction has taken over the club, when vampires take her to a room, to await the new boss.
Weston picks up a tantalizing scent, and finds Paisley ... who this he's the boss ... and he thinks she's a call girl ... When he realizes she's his mate ... and she realizes why Weston came to the club ... well, things get a little dicey for him ... and then the hybrids show up ... with an unsatisfied Bane close behind them :)
Then there's the .. you have to restrain me so I don't hurt her, and she's like ... WHY IS HE CHAINED??? Eventually, they figure out the mate bond and get their HEA...
This is the second book in the Immortal Outcasts Series. This is a great Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance. Like the first book in the Series, this short story is fast-paced, action packed, fun, and steamy! I liked Weston in the first book, and was thrilled to read his story! He is a former Immortal Operative soldier, genetically altered into a super soldier bear-shifter. Paisley, a damsel in distress, and his mate, is a great character. Their share an instant attraction and an undeniable and strong chemistry. I love their HEA. The other characters are really interesting. Mason Lloyd did another amazing job with the narration. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Bane's story.
Weston and Paisley are an unlikely pair that really work together. Weston has given up on finding a mate but dreams about a faceless woman who smells of berries and cream. He has been on the run so long that he prefers the solitude of the woods and nature rather than society. When his bear calls to him he needs to shift and run. When Paisley and Weston meet their chemistry is off the charts but Weston is afraid of hurting her. He has to get her somewhere safe. As always with Mandy Roth her characters are intriguing and lovable in their own way. Her HEA endings will make you smile.
Damage Report is the second Immortal Outcast novella. Weston is a grumpy bear shifter who is sent to Seattle on information that his mate is in danger. Paisley is a succubus who has no appeal for men to actually touch her but she shows up at the underground sex club to absorb sexual energy. Paisley has been looking for her best friend Gale for weeks. Things don't go according to p!an as a wicked vampire throws her in a room to await the boss.......Paisley is in a panic, still a virgin, she doesn't want this sleaze bag to touch her. Paisley gets a surprise when in walks Weston.
Extremely brief novella, with our two favorite and odd wannabe Ops agents Bill and Gus aiding (and abetting) Bear and Bane as they search Jinx' old brothel for clues to Bear's recent dreams. His dreams that apparently connect him to a female in Gus's visions, and could possibly be his mate?! The only solution is the four of them flying off to Seattle, where they meet Paisley, Bear's dream girl and possibly a succubus. Things get a little complicated from that point, to say the least: an untamed Bear, The Corporation, hybrids galore, a virgin succubus, and Bill and Gus - oh my. I laughed until I nearly lost my breath gasping....
Weston Carol, a bear shifter is about ready to explode physically and sexually. His bear needs out. Then his friend Casey shows up and tell him his mate is in Seattle and needs to be rescued. But he doesn’t have a mate, except in his dreams.
Paisley has been hanging around Jinx’s old supernatural club hoping to remain unnoticed until she can find out what happened to her friend Gale. But she gets caught and is locked into a private room waiting for a client.
Fave scenes: flying with Gus & Bill, Weston following the scent and Paisley visiting Weston in the basement.
Loving the Immortal World series as a whole, but I'm seriously not liking how abruptly the individual stories are ending. Personally, I think $5-$6 is too much for how short these stories are, and I think the author is doing her fans a disservice by charging so much for so little writing. I'm only continuing the series because I'm really interested in seeing how the whole thing wraps up and how theses shifters find their mates.
Weston and Paisley met were neither should have been at. Gus and Wild Bill were in this book too ! Had to laugh out loud because of the funny things said and actions done. Some action and lust, and some love for the main characters. Don't miss out on Bane !
A quick instalove story to continuing this series. When mates are involved you always expect the instalove part to it so it was no surprise. The acceptance that these two have for each other was so nice to listen to and the side characters had me cracking up at times. Definitely worth the listen for more.
I hadn't picked up a Roth story in a while. I enjoyed it, as usual. She's a good writer and knows how to capture your attention immediately. Frankly, I've read better, from Ms.Roth and others. This felt a little hurried, like she had 10 more stories to write for this series, so wrap it up and go on to the next item. Just my opinion!
This was an enjoyable read that once I started I could not put it down. It moves along at an easy pace for reading. The characters will grab you and you cannot help but fall in love with them and the story will grab you and keep you turning pages until you finish the last page. This book needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.
Weston a bear shifter is sent to Seattle because he was told his mate was there and needed help. Paisley is part succubus and goes to a sex club to get an energy boost from the club. Can they find each other and become mates? I highly recommend this book and series.
Only one thing to say read the series. All the outcast are now finding out that the others are still alive. Outcast because nobody thought that they were still live these are great books. All I want to say is continuing the series would be wonderful.
I enjoyed more of the kooky duo's antics. The characters in this series are fun! There isn't much romance when they fall in love at first sniff. Lots of killing though.
As expected, plenty of sex stuff, erotica, but also a great story. I enjoyed Weston in a previous book and really love Bill and Gus. They are kind of harmless fun but also lovable
