The Collection is 5 novellas of about 100 pages each (total 480+ pages) of principal character Jacey, and her life as she is uprooted from her city life to the suburbs. Jacey is an introverted brainiac on maternity leave. Her expectations for a boring life in the burbs centred on housewives and kids is upended by the swinging culture in her little cul-de-sac.
The series is from Jacey’s perspective and outlines the tangled lives of twelve adults, including Jacey and husband Dominic, with two other side characters who show up later.
A second main character is husband Dominic. The author carefully outlines his thinking as Jacey plays around, both following the norms of the group and breaking all the rules. Dominic certainly benefits from Jacey’s escapades as he enjoys his own.
While there are lots of fun and games, the real story is Jacey’s evolution. In the end she has some very difficult choices. I feel how she evaluates her choices, and the ones she selects, are quite different than what she might have made at the beginning of the book. I’m pleased to see the author take the time to go through Jacey’s thinking and justify her choices.
Each of the 5 novellas could be rated at about 4 1/2 stars. Collectively, this is a 5 Star read. Although the books in the series can be read as standalones, I highly recommend they be read in order.
The author follows up this series with a number of short stories, filling in the escapades of the other characters. They come together in a 200 page book titled - Interludes: The Collection. I’m off to read them now. .

A Neighborhood Sex Romp
This is a lengthy tale of a group of neighbors indulging in monthly spouse-swapping parties.
Our main character is Jacy and her husband Dominick. They've been married for a few years and have two young children. After moving into a new neighborhood they quickly discover, and are invited into, a group of three married couples and another single woman and single man who have been having monthly swing parties.
Jacy is initially hesitant. But man does that change fast as she quickly finds her inner slut and becomes the one everyone wants to partake of.
What's different, and kind of weird, about this story, is that we only get to see and know about Jacy’s sexcapades. We see the others go off seperatly but never know details about their encounters. She never asks what her husband's experiences are, and she shares very little with him.
Personally, I found it hard to like Jacy. She has kind of an odd and off-putting personality. Not much of a mother, as she doesn't seem very interested in her own children. I found the other wives more engaging. Plus, she's basically a cheater waiting for an opportunity. She is selfish and self-centered and has numerous encounters with almost everyone outside of the parties. Although she eventually gets around to telling Dom, she basically just does whatever she wants first.
And then, of course, she decides to fall in love with Joe, the single man. Oh, she still professes her love for her husband but just “has to have” Joe also. Did I say she was self-centered?
I'm not sure how to label the story. Its certainly not hotwife, and not really even swinging, as we don't get in on everyone elses activities. Its basically just about Jacy getting to screw the local population.
I have to give it up to Ms Ellis though, as it's well written and obviously a labor of love for her. The sex scenes are sometimes boring and sometimes erotic. You will find many of these same characters in other books by her.

It's a swingers paradise..
New couple move to the suburbs from the city where they meet the local residents who, unexpectedly, turn out to be swingers or swoppers.. whatever you wanna call them. With a bit of persuasion, the new couple join in and the wife goes all in after a bit of reluctance! This book is sex riddled, every page a turn on, mf, mmf, mff and more besides.. I've looked up the area but no houses for sale 😭😭

Our happily married couple moves into a new neighborhood, only to discover their new neighbors are all swingers.
This boxed set collects the complete Husbands and Wives series (the main books, not the Interludes side stories) in one bundle. The stories are all told from the wife's perspective, which seemed to be a bit lopsided to me, but I got used to it and it worked out just fine. Watch out for books 3 (The Wives) and 5 (Joe and Jacey) in particular, as they are a bit different (in a good way) from the rest.
Overall, the books were very well written, with fun and interesting characters and an engaging plot. Having them all together like this helps you get the full story in one place, which is really appreciated. The complete collection makes a nice weekend read.

Great collection of stories however the books need a lot of proof reading. There was quite a few grammatical errors, missing text and spelling mistakes. Other than that I enjoyed it
