Heaux tales

Ayye I liked this heaux. Nothing wrong with a woman that is clear on what she wants and what she doesn't. This heaux was out living her best life, getting her back broken, body battered all in the name of good sex and I wasn't mad at it. She was self proclaimed non monogamous and that was clear. Despite that she had these men out of their bodies trying to become her one and only. Despite having solid connections with a few, she was not persuaded by good or outstanding dk for that matter. She was committed to being open and  willing for the next man until the day came where she felt confidently that she had found the one. 

Solid quick read and I loved that it was journal entries.

I think I’ve officially accepted that I really like the way D. Scott writes sex. 😂 I already loved her Therapy Session books, and after reading Memoir of a Heaux, I’m convinced that her style just works for me. Her books can be very sexual, but the sex never feels so over-the-top or ridiculous that it pulls me out of the story. It feels grown, intentional, and believable for the characters she creates. And the FMC? That bitch. 😂 We never even get her real name, but somehow that didn’t bother me at all. She knew exactly who she was, what she wanted, what she liked, and how she wanted to live her life. I loved that she wasn’t written as somebody who needed to be saved, fixed, shamed, or turned into a completely different woman by the end of the book. She was sexually free, confident, unapologetic, and living life on her own terms.

Now Dinero...We technically did not get a definite ending for the two of them, but I’m choosing to believe that man is eventually going to change the game for her. 😂 There was something about their connection that felt different to me, and I would absolutely read more if D. Scott ever decided to revisit these characters because I need to know where that goes.

My girl was having a timeeee LOL. This was soo good & though it was focused on her sex life. I loved that it was detailed as to why she didn’t want a “ traditional “ life. I’m glad she stood her ground on what she believed for HER life. So often in the real world, women don’t do what they truly want but submit to what is expected of them. Only to end up miserable & full of regret. Not only did she put her personal life first, she also put her career first. She came from & seen beautiful traditional relationships & still chose what was best for her. Not leading anyone on, not conforming… what Beyoncé said “ I’m the only lady here & still the realest in the room “ Men should take notes on how to say what you sang & stand on it. Most women respect the honesty & most times, want the pleasure without the commitment. Such a good read!!

I didn’t think this was gonna go like this. I throughly enjoyed reading this book. This is my first by the author and definitely won’t be my last. The woman who wrote these entries led a very open and interesting life. Her escapades were wild and crazy then the men and women she entertained were just as wild if not more. I see why Psycho got his name bc he is indeed that. Corey would’ve pissed me off to no end and on her birthday no less. Wood was an interesting man and so was Big A bc he was damn sure getting attached. His & Hers they’re something serious bc whoo they had a time. Solo I actually liked how he carried himself. Dinero broke his own rule and so did she. She made it clear what it was and what it was all you can do is respect it and keep it pushing. My girl was very free spirited and I’m glad she was always safe esp with being in the public eye so much. Great read D. Scott 😊

All I can say

She was a heaux till the very end and I can appreciate that. if getting it in was a person then baby, she is the number one draft pick. Honestly, being put through a matches turned every which way. But loose sounds like a great life to live and boy, was she living it up. Loved how unapologetic this character was. Did I want her to give big a more of a chance? Absolutely, but I understood her. She stood tin toes down and her not feeling the need to be in a relationship. The only other person I could see her with was literally de. Niro, for sure, I'm i feel like he could wear her down for sure. But I enjoy this. This was such a fun read.

This woman was in her 30s successful! But DID NOT WANT LOVE OR RELATIONSHIP! Just relations…. I just knew she would fold and fall for one of the men , but noooo !!! I love she knew what she wanted and she didn’t let anything change or shape how she felt. She drew limits and did not let no man play in her face unless she wanted too !!! I love a boss lady who knows who she is and what she wants !!! She knew she was a heaux and didn’t care 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ she was bold about it ! I thought Pyscho was about to turn this into a thriller 🫠 this was a great quick read !! And very HOT !!

I never felt so safe. If I could redo like without any reservations to identity and social constructs, this book would be it. I enjoyed it from the moment I read the first line. Chile she did not come to play. Dinero ... I need his number ASAP. Lol. Seriously though, my girl stood strong on her relationship beliefs because I would've folded immediately.

This is worth the read. It's hot. It's spicy. It's relatable. Men are dogs all the time. Let the woman run the show for once.

This book is well written! It is erotica in the most classy way if that even makes sense! I loved her confessions and her honesty. I loved the suspense of who she could really be to the public eye! It makes me want to look at every successful female in the public eye and say “you go girl!”. I did wonder what happened with the crazy ex but that’s the only loose end I had. The descriptions of her sexual encounters were top tier writing. Simply put, this memoir was EVERYTHING!

Hell she made me want to be a heaux lol. I love how we never got any backstory on her. Never knew her real name and how she was apparently a big deal in her city. Overall good read, I wonder if we’ll ever get a follow up 👀
