The relationship between Alex, the multimillionaire CEO of the Walker Group and Isadora, a small flower shop owner from humble beginnings started off on the wrong footing. Unbeknown to Isadora, Alex was drawn to her because she reminded him of a past love, and the board was pressuring him to get married. Regardless of all the red flags, Isadora willingly gave up everything, married Alex because she loved him. Being Mrs. Walker was a lonely torturous existence she endured until she couldn't anymore, leaving her gilded prison and filing for divorce. A lesson well learned!

Isadora finally learned who the person was that her husband, Alex, named at their wedding. Thinking of herself as a substitute, she left him. Try as he might, Alex couldn't get her back until he had to learn how to respect her and show unconditional love and support. Great story!

Alex married Isadora cause she looked like his past. Isadora finds out and leaves him. I love how strong and courageous she is and knows her worth. Alex had to grovel through epic proportions to get her back.

I just love marriage in crisis tropes and Asher Hale writes them really well. Can’t wait for the next book!!!

Shattered

Hurt, neglected, and unloved—Isadora bailed on her billionaire husband. She started fresh and chased her dream. Alex, your typical snob, figured he could muscle her back into his lifestyle. He totally didn't see it coming when she picked hard work and happiness over his world.

Millions buy stuff, yeah. But they don't buy happiness.

It is a fairly well written book about a very rich man trying to take a country girl and turn her into a socialite. As you can predict, she loved him, but was very unhappy with that life and also figured out that she was sort of a replacement. He begged for her forgiveness, and they eventually got through it and the rest of the book is about a lot of their life afterwards.

The fact that Isadora ignored the hospital telling her to be very careful because her pregnancy was delicate and ran to her store for a non-emergency disgusts me. She could not care less about that child and no amount of saying anything will prove otherwise.

Was ok

I like these short reads but tbh they're all similar ,no cheating but women who are neglected and husband's dsnt know what he has until it's gone and then they grovel and they need to use anything but power or money to win the wife back
