This book was not at all what I was expecting. More cult based than based on having “two husbands” and half the time when speaking about how they were conjoined twins it just didn’t even make sense. How one sits beside her, while the other is in the doorway? Like what?

AHS: Freak Show x Stepford Wives x Don’t Worry Darling and not in a good way .
I ignored the reviews thinking 1. that sounds pretty interesting 2. it’s a short book . Do not be like me and do not waste your time . Absolutely no satisfaction came out of this experience .
I do have to give it to the author though . Her subpar writing had me making assumptions and thinking wow i know what the twist is gonna be .
Ten chapters of Tom being a creep but no inkling of wanting Karin dead I thought it’s gonna be Benjamin who wants her dead and Tom is gonna help her get out . Couldn’t be more wrong . They both just wanted her to perform her duties as a wife in a cult which isn’t really a cult and instead an experiment . (i’m just as confused as you)
Then when Tom somehow managed to walk them both to
the doorway with despite Benjamin sleeping still . This shouldn’t be possible because as Karin DOES NOT STOP mentioning Tom has the weak legs with the left foot going inwards causing it to scrape . Anyway I thought maybe it’s like a human centipede situation going on . That would explain why their connection point is always leaking fluid which Karin again DOES NOT STOP mentioning . And how Tom is supposedly planning for her to be killed without Ben knowing . And how Tom keeps mildly inconveniencing her without Benjamin knowing . Wrong again just shitty writing .
Last gripe (that i’m mentioning i have a lot more) , I could not picture in my head let alone draw a picture of what these twins look like . It’s like the author doesn’t understand anatomy (don’t let that stop her from the random medical terminology used). The author tells us they are connected from sternum to pelvis . Yet somewhere Karin can stand in the middle of them , one behind one in front of her . One of them can be standing or sitting while the other one is laying down . Whether it is the subpar writing or the lack of medical knowledge the world will never know . Neither will the author cause i’m pretty sure AI was used as mentioned in other reviews . If I didn’t care about the earth I would ask ChatGPT to describe what it is like to live as a conjoined twin and I would bet money more than half the first chapter would come up as an answer .
Anyway this book took 2 1/2 hours of my life I won’t get back . Yes , you can read the book that fast because majority of it is just repeating the same thing with the same exact verbiage (oh look another gripe) so a quick skim is all you need .

DNF at 28%
I really tried. I almost never DNF a book. But at the time I gave up, the sum of the plot was that the protagonist, living in a cult-like town, entered an arranged marriage with a conjoined twin. In that 28%, the same town rituals had been described multiple times without any subsequent details being added at retellings. The conjoined husband's anatomy is unclear, with the main character somehow walking between the brothers at one point. Due to this alone, I suspect the book may be AI generated. The 'author' spent a significant amount of time describing the conjoined brothers in a way that seemed needlessly grotesque (scar tissue, leaking fluids, etc) while giving their characters no chance to build any depth, with very minimal conversation and interaction happening.

Y’all, this shit is awful. The descriptions are disgusting & unnecessary, every single character sucks, it was so repetitive that I felt like I read entire chapters more than once, & there were some clear spelling/grammar issues. I get what this book is trying to do, but it just fell flat & boring. The two men are basically only conjoined because there’s no other way to force the conflict & drag along the plot. Feels like a gimmick to drag you into a book that ends up being just a mess. Oof.

Interesting read
I really liked this story. It was weirdly intriguing.
It was so frustrating to read what she was dealing with and I feel like this could go so much further.
It gave me the world within a world illusion.
I feel I could be happy how it ended but a lot of unanswered questions.
Glad I came across it.

I hated this. I hated reading about the liquid that came from where the twins were conjoined. I hated reading about obedience. And again, I hated hearing about the liquid. I cannot stress this enough.

This was a bit weird for me as the conjoined twins seemed to be in separate places at times.
