Wolves, werewolves, shifters or vargulf. No matter the name, when they went rogue they needed to be put down like the dogs they were. The Berserkers are an ancient species of warriors bred to get the job done. The Bjorn Clan have been doing it for centuries and are nothing if not overachievers when it comes to their work.
Fynn Bjorn is tall, dark and brooding with a nasty scar across his face that reflects the stone cold killer that he is. Even his fellow clansmen are leery of the male who kills first and asks questions later. Fynn is a loner by choice with no family, few friends and has no room for anything other than the job.
Alex Thorsten is not what she appears to be. She is a half breed mix of wolf and Berserker. Just existing is unheard of and therefor forbidden. Alex rents a room to the glowering stranger who is just too damned cute when he tries to intimidate her. If Fynn discovers what she is, Alex has no doubt he will kill her. After losing her husband and daughter to a wolf attack two years ago, being put out of her misery isn’t the worst thing that could happen. Unfortunately the full moon and Alex’s heat cycle is approaching fast.
Fynn hates himself and the ugly scarred mess his face has become, leaving him cold and deadly. Alex could burst into an animal with fur and claws at any second. They are enemies by birth and yet the attraction between them is undeniable.
BJ Cunningham was born in raised in the small village of Blue Hill, Maine. From a very young age, she wrote stories of fiction. When asked why she liked to write, she a caused great deal of alarm when she explained that she could hear the characters in her head and that the only way to silence them was to write their stories.
After many "meetings" and tests, it was determined that the voices were simply her over active imagination and odd sense of humor. Not mental illness.
Her crazy quilt of a resume includes zookeeper, production artist, optician, outreach education coordinator for a large biotechnology laboratory and she has a B.S in the administration of justice.
Raising a teenage son as a single parent paired with the talent of being a magnet for the strange and amusing, has fueled her quirky sense of humor that shows in her work.
Currently BJ is working on a paranormal series, The Bjorn Clan. The first, entitled Blood Ties, is scheduled for release in early 2015.
I'm a huge fan of paranormal and fantasy romance so I jumped at the chance to read Cursed and I wasn't disappointed. An excellent twist on wolf shifters and lore, this story was action packed from start to finish. There's amazing chemistry between Fynn and Alex. I enjoyed the slow sensual build of their relationship and their true love for one another.
One of my favorite parts of this novel is the dark and gritty aspect of the wolves and beserkers, the clash between the clans, and the crazy plot that was a wild roller coaster ride. There's some truly sinister forces at work and the author does an excellent job of nail biting tension at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and can't wait to read more about these characters and the world of shifters introduced. An AWESOME read!

The meddlesome Loki created the Volfgard! Figures. That Thor warned him of trouble, not so much a spoiler but a given. Now Odin interfering by creating a balance was a twist I didn't expect, but interesting.that the Hunters carried his emblem to warn of the wolves was a great idea. Fast forward to present day and throw in an unexpected but believable twist in a female born of both and you've got the beginnings of a great adventure with twists and turns no one saw coming! I can't wait for the next book!
