Now part of Love, Laughter and Happily Ever After: A Short Story Collection.

This is a short story.

Life rarely gives second chances.

With the help of meddling friends, the world's largest burrowing clam, and a hot lumberjack, Maggie Marrion and Gil Morrow got their second chance at love in Geoducks Are for Lovers.

Now living together, they're discovering that sometimes the second time around, especially when it comes to sex, is better than the first. Or can be with the help of magical blue pills.

Is a trip to the ER worth it for a night of wild sex at forty?

Take Two is intended for mature audiences, 18 and up, because it contains middle age people kissing, recreational prescription drug use, and outdated references to the late 20th century.

This Modern Love Story Short takes place chronologically at the beginning of Modern Love Story #2.

Going through my Kindle every year I try and clear old titles. I was in the mood for reading a Daisy Prescott after accidentally re-reading Ready to Fall. I say accidentally as I am not normally a re-reader and had this book on my Kindle and in the back of my mind I thought I hadn't read it but once I started the story felt so familiar and turned out that I had read it over four-five years ago when it was first released. Take-Two is the book that goes hand in hand with this story as for those who had read Ready to Fall will remember that Maggie has rented out her cottage to Diane as she is spending time with her second-chance romance Gill over on the mainland. Take-Two gives us Maggie and Gill's story as they get used to living together again. The last time they lived together was as roomies at college in their dorms. This was over twenty years ago. The Take-Two in the title refers to the fun little gift that they receive for their housewarming from Selah whom we know from her own book Missionary Position is a bit of a sexual deviant and open to trying all sorts of new things. If you are wanting a quick romance read, then check out Take-Two by Daisy Prescott.

Short story about Maggie and Gil from Geoducks Are For Lovers. While I didn't much care for Geoducks Are For Lovers, I really enjoyed We Were Here which was a prequel story for this series. It's meant to be a standalone short story but it's much better if you read the two books first.

Maggie and Gil are moving in together. Their friend, Selah brings them and interesting house warming gift that allows them to behave like their younger selves. Cute short story that's worth the read.

This was short and steamy. I've been in a book funk just lately and this short enjoyable read has pulled me straight out of it.

I love Gil and Maggie together, and this was cute, but I wish it were a little longer. Nice to have a glimpse of their life together after they've committed to each other.

I loved Geoducks Are for Lovers (Modern Love Story #1), and when I found myself reading a kind of depressing book, I needed something to lift me up, quick. Thank goodness Daisy Prescott created spin-off short stories for all the characters from Geoducks Are for Lovers (Modern Love Story #1).

These stories are sweet, set in beautiful locales, and loaded with love. You should read Geoducks before so you really get to know all about the characters, however, you can pretty much read these as a quickie romance.

You'll love the smooth writing, relaxing scenes, hilarious dialogue, and the intense connections these characters share.

I loved Gil and Maggie's story in Geoducks are for Lovers and was thrilled to hear we would get more of this adorable couple.

Take Two takes place after Geoducks but before Ready to Fall and gives us a sweet insight into how Gil and Maggie are faring, now sharing Gil's house in Portland. When Selah shows up with a 'shacking up' gift, you know that can only mean trouble. But with some great laughs and a night of chemically-enhanced passion, I was left smiling from ear to ear.

Daisy Prescott does not disappoint and the references to songs from Gil and Maggie's college years together with sweet memories of unrequited love are all we need to set the stage for We Were Here, due early in 2016. I adore these characters and can't wait to read the prequel to their beautiful love.

A fun 5 stars!

I loved Daisy Prescott's short story about Gil and Maggie! I enjoyed so much Geoducks are for Lovers, how two best friends who never cease to love each other reconnected 20 years later. This story takes place three months after the first book. Thanks to one of their friends, Selah, with some gift involving blue pills, get ready for a wild night!

Set between Geoducks and Ready to Fall, Maggie and Gil are shacking up together. Selah brings a housewarming gift that starts a very eventful evening. Lots of pop culture references to Star Wars and mention of John the lumberjack gets Gil grumbling. Never loved a forty something couple more than these two. Lots can be said for college friendships turned lovers.

Love these Modern Love Story shorts by Daisy Prescott!

Each one is so clever and endearing in its own way. Daisy gives readers generous glimpses into the continuing lives of her characters after their respective full-length books conclude. HEAs are a work in progress! ;)

P.S. I can never get enough of Maggie and Gil.

A follow-up to Geoducks Are For Lovers, in which Gil and Maggie are moving in together and get a couple of surprise gifts from old friend Selah. This was sweet and dirty at the same time, and echoed their time in college when Gil was too shy to make a move. I love how this is a couple in their 40s, too.

This is a very short about 30page Epilogue for Maggie and Gil of Geoducks are for Lovers. If you are a fan of Maggie and Gil, which I am you will be glad to get another glimpse of their happily ever after.

I adore Maggie & Gil so much. Loved this sweet story that I think is just so perfect. Second chance stories are my faves & these two rank amongst my top fave couples.

This was well written, but kind of pointless. It felt like an outtake from Geoducks rather than a short story. Gil and Maggie have sex with the help of a blue pill from Selah. Kind of boring, actually.

I still think about the characters from Geoducks are for Lovers..... and wonder how things changed like they are real people and not just made up people. This short story is a little blurb to reassure that the happy ending is really happy. I can close the book on this one. Pun intended.
