Bluffed by the Offense is here, and oh my. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. This is the second book in the Tennessee Thunder series by Savannah Scott, and I can’t begin to tell you how fun this story is. I was already intrigued by Cass and Marcus based on their interactions in book one, but oh boy, this was so much more than I anticipated!

You know those “enemies to lovers” books where one of the characters is acting secretly pining while hiding behind that “enemy” mask? This is NOT that. While it’s true they were originally attracted to one another, as soon as words were exchanged and they had their first interaction, that changed lickety split. They truly could not stand one another, even if they were both trying to be nice for the sake of her sister and his friend.

Then came the “meet cute” that was neither a true meet, nor cute in the slightest. That was closely followed by a photo of them going viral and the pair being coerced into a fake dating scheme neither wants.

The forced proximity, the banter and chemistry that started to sizzle a little more than they bargained for, and suddenly the blinders start getting removed so they can truly see one another for who they are.

This was a slow burn of the most delicious and fun way, leading to a very well earned happily ever after. Grab your copy so you can dive into the mind of the Thunder’s QB and the football stat queen and watch as they mangle their way to a happily ever after.

I was given a complimentary copy of the book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

"I don't have time to meet a good woman. Instead I am fake dating my enemy."

I am SUCH a fan. Not only of the author and her writing style, although I am that as well, but this book! I have always enjoyed reading enemies to more, but this book is next level. It had me snort laughing, highlighting half of the book, and reading way too late. Not only that, but the sweet relationship between the FMC and her twin, a friend group that you just want to live by, (and are familiar with from other books) and a football team that are as supportive as they are hilarious. Their text threads- no comparison.

You have a feisty FMC that is used to being in charge and is good at it. She is competent and confident- not to mention beautiful. She is a big time football fan; she can spout off any players stats at will, especially for her favorite team, the local
Tennessee Thunder. All but the QB- they have met before and she didn't appreciate how he acted- like he was in charge. Plus, he's gorgeous and knows it. How could he not. Adoring fans everywhere he goes- ugh.

Sometimes though, you think you know a person until you find out the real story. Then it's hard to accept the new version because it means you were wrong and that you might have to admit it.

Add in a mutually beneficial fake relationship that just keeps going, feelings that are acting like they are real, and close friends that can see what you can't. You have fireworks from the intense banter, a very slow-burn blossoming romance, and a town and team that you really cheer for.

I received an ebook from the author for my opinion. A positive review was not expected.

Sometimes with enemies to love, you start reading and it's pretty clear that the characters aren't actually enemies at all... they're more like slight annoyances to lovers. Let me tell you, this is NOT one of those stories... There was attraction, sure, but Marcus and Cass truly felt like true enemies right from the start. They got off on the wrong foot and those early impressions shaped the way they looked at every interaction from that point... that is until a stranger photo shoot and a fake dating scheme had them seeing each other in a different light and that fire that we see in their disagreements starts to look a lot like chemistry... and I was absolutely here for it. Whether they were fighting or just fighting feelings, these two kept me intrigued right through to the end. Two books in and I am already hooked on Tennessee Thunder Football and cannot wait for the next book!

Bluffed by the Offense is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is the second book in the Tennessee Thunder Football series but could probably be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

This was THE cutest read! I’m so stinking obsessed with Cass and Marcus. Their slow burn, enemies to lovers tension kept me turning page after page. The banter had me giggling and kicking my feet. The little glimpses of all my friends from the previous Waterford books were so, so sweet! I loved it so very much, and I can’t wait for the next installment💙🧡 GO THUNDER💙🧡

This book was so fun. This is only the second book I’ve read by this author but I am loving her books and way of writing characters. Cass and Marcus did not get off on the right foot, but their hilarious back and forth while they got to know each other was very entertaining. This football/fake dating/hate to love/small town romance was lovely. I adore these characters and can’t wait to visit Waterford again. Five stars

Enemies to Lovers has a new couple vying to be the best! Marcus and Cass play very wicked(in a good way)games in this second book in the Savannah Scott football series! Their heated banter is next level and they do like to one-up each other. I love how they both are caring, giving, selfless people despite their animosity towards each other. When they are in a scene together, they are definitely the sole focus!

Cass and Marcus’s banter-filled, fake dating, enemies to more story is so fun and sweet! Loved their back and forth, the tension, the meddling, and both of their slow falls. More of the Thunder football teammate dynamics is such a treat, too.
