Sierra Growing up, Jagger Myka tormented and teased me. Just hearing his name was enough to ruin my week. But as luck would have it, our parents got married, making the one guy I hated the most, my stepbrother.
Jagger is spending the summer with us and despite how much I hate him, I can’t get him out of my mind. Okay, not really just him, more like his...well, I can't say it but yeah, I saw it and I’ll never forget it, who would?
The problem is now he’s decided to tease and torment me again. But this time in a different way; a way that means I get to see a whole lot more of him. I don't know how much longer I can resist.
Jagger Teasing Sierra has always been one of my favorite things. But as soon as I saw her cheeks turn red after seeing me naked, I knew I found a new game to play. I know she hates me, but now that we’re under the same roof, she can’t avoid me.
But all that dirty talk has made me realize I don't trust myself to not fall for her. If only I had more time before leaving for the Navy. Maybe then she'd see I'm not the bad boy she thinks I am.
Tease is a standalone novel. It contains adult content and a cocky stepbrother who likes to be naked.
As far as the whole falling in love with your step brother story line...the beginning was pretty successful. Still though, I am not sold on this type of romance because I just find it weird. Their parents are MARRIED and no one is the family gave it much thought? Oh okay. Like the parents wouldn't be upset by this...seemed unbelievable.
Very easy read-not much to it. Read it in under 2 hours.
This was not what I was expecting at all. What I was expecting was a dirty talking bad boy stepbrother. What I got was an incredibly sweet little romance.
Jagger and Sierra used to be at school together as children. Jagger was the playground bully who tormented Sierra. 5 years later they are thrown together again for their parents' wedding. Sierra is expecting her douchebag childhood tormentor but what she gets is a hot and cheeky guy who is all grown up.
Jagger has his sights set on his childhood crush and wants to tease her just one last time. They decide to take a time out from real life before Jagger leaves to join the navy. No strings, no attachments.
"I could watch you come all night."
The book is short and can be read in a couple of hours. It covers a lot of ground though, so at times it did feel rushed and the time lapses back and forth got a bit much but it was littered with some utterly adorable and cheeky scenes.
It's best to go in blind and discover the twists yourself.
I only wished this book was longer so we could spend some more time in these characters' lives and explore the feelings a bit more.
If you're looking for a short read that's fun, cheeky and a little bit angsty I'd absolutely recommend this.
You know that boy that always picked on you as a kid? Yea, the one that everyone claims really liked you because he picked on you? Well, Sierra has one of those in her life, Jagger. What she never expects is for Jagger to end up her step brother. When they end up in the same house for their parents wedding, can these two call a truce? What happens when Sierra learns that the boy who picked on her is now a man that always liked her? I enjoyed the banter between Sierra and Jagger. There is a ton of miscommunication but it makes for great drama and then Jagger did something I didn't see coming (you must read to find out). I love that we meet Sierra and Jagger in elementary school and we get to experience their relationship as they grow into adults. This story surprised me several times giving me great character interactions for a solid foundation to their romance.
Hm difficult to write a review here because my main problems were with the final third and would spoil a lot. It was a quick ok read, some bits were cute and comfy, but all moved too fast, I didn't like his ways at all and can't forgive him what he finally did, I don't even know if that is normal procedure in that branch of the army, it just felt pretty stupid to me in this kind of book. The stepbother/stepsister thing was actually never an issue, which seemed a bit odd too. Can't really recommend it, even though most of it was a nice read.
Just finished reading this one! I really enjoyed the story. There is a fine line between love and hate for these 2. She hated him since 3rd grade because he teased her all time, he has secretly thought she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen since the 3rd grade! I honestly think Jagger's issue when they were in school wasn't that he wanted to be an as*hole but that he was just following along with his friend Dex. He tried to tell Sierra how he felt when he moved away but thanks to Dex that got screwed up! When his dad and her mom (who have been living together for years) decide to tie the knot Jagger comes home after 5 years. The first thing Sierra notices is that he has grown into a hottie and she just can't help but start to feel things for him, but she is scared that he will continue to be a world class di*&! Then one night there is a party at their house while the parents are away for the weekend, thrown by Dex of course. Jagger is drunk and thinks he is in his own room when in fact he crawls in bed with Sierra buck naked! Her reaction to him causes him to take things further to get her attention and get her attention he does he starts with a simple text "Ever see Magic Mike"? Sierra: "The stripper movie? No" Jagger: "Well now you don't have to. And this begins a series of videos of Jagger stripping it down to nothing but something long and hard to music! One thing leads to another and they realize they have a need. But just as they are about to explore it, Sierra finds out that Jagger is headed off to join the Navy. He didn't tell her because her dad died in the service and he knew it would worry her. But they finally make up while watching Annie Hall, which is the movie that's always on when they make up! They spend the next couple of weeks in a "time out". And when he leaves for the Navy she is determined to keep the relationship going, but then the day comes when she gets every letter back that she wrote to him along with his dog tag and she begins a long 5 years mourning him. She can't let go. Then the impossible happens and mysteries get answered and Sierra finds that things aren't always what they seem! This is a really great sweet read!
Met young. They attended the same school, their parents dated for years so they know each other. In school, Jagger, being a young boy and all, teased and made fun of Sierra all the time. She started to hate him and his friend Dex (who's a total douche btw...) Years later, they meet up again because their parents are finally tying the knot, and of course he's the best man and she's the maid of honor, duhr!!
Anyway, even when Jagger teased and made fun of Sierra, we were let in early on on the fact that she always found him hot with a capital H. Years later, when he and his dad arrives back home, their attraction is as hot as ever. Jagger, knowing how much he terrorized Sierra before when they were young decided that enough was enough and that he would just leave her alone to be happy. Circumstances went against everything he tried hard to do and before you know it, they're falling.
But then, Jagger had to leave (I won't spoil it by telling you why, just read it! lol), and they're separated for years. Through years and years of separation, Sierra finally decided to move one, believing that Jagger is gone when .....tan-tararan! they somehow get their HEA.
This stepbrother romance actually was pretty heart wrenching. I felt for the both of them.... Their hurt travelled through several pages and outside the book. But, I'm glad it worked out.... I felt their love, their hardships in trying to do the right thing, their struggles, and that's what a book should be able to do... To transport you away from reality and into that little piece of fantasy, and this book did do that.
So yes, I liked it, a lot! Def. recommend it. It's pretty short, but sweet and hot...
*spoilers* I really enjoyed this book. Yes its a stepbrother romance but its a bit difference in the sense the guy doent start out being the douchbag/asshole that is typical.
Jagger and Sierra knew each other growing up. Jagger has "loved" sierra for as long as he can remember but somehow he always seemed to say or do the wrong thing and it ended up making sierra miserable, so when he moved away with his mother it was the happiest day of her life. Skip ahead a few years and now his father and her mother are getting married. Sierra is none to happy and is expecting her "tormentor" of all those years ago to come slithering back into her life. What she got was an all grown up, hot as hell, and sweet guy that knocked her socks off. They decide to take a time out from real life and enjoy each other until he has to leave for the Navy. Lots of laughs, love and even heartbreak ensues for awhile. I like that Jagger was a sweetheart from the beginning and that Sierra gave him a chance. I felt her pain towards the end but glad it all worked out.
At times it did seem a bit rushed but thats expected sometimes when you have a shorter book. I think this is one that could have been made into a longer book and things expanded on more but overall it was a nice quick read.
I really have avoided the whole stepbrother themed books because the subject just wasn't one I was interested in, but as soon as I read the blurb for this one I was intrigued. First this is not about step siblings that have been siblings for years so that made this book more to my liking. The whole idea of thinking of someone as your brother for years and then having a relationship with him just seems wrong to me so I have avoided most of the books out there. This one I am glad I decided to read. Sierra and Jagger have known each other for years but their parents didn't even start dating until he and his mother moved away. They didn't see each other for five years until his dad and her mom were getting married. At first all she saw him as was the boy that picked on her and teased her, she really didn't like him. He had always liked her but always seemed to say and do the wrong thing. People change and grow up in five years. Veronica Daye does a wonderful job of telling Sierra and Jaggers story. She builds their relationship so beautifully that you can't wait to see how things work out for them.
FABULOUS READ!!!!!!! I loved this book. Once I started reading, I became so engrossed I couldn't put it down. It was that good. There's a fine line between love and hate. This book proves it. I was told as a kid that when a boy teases you, it's because he likes you. I guess Jagger really liked Sierra because he was always teasing her and she hated him for it when they were growing up. Some years later when they're throne together when their parents are going to marry, things change and become very interesting. You'll have to read the book to find out what happens. You'll love it. Very enjoyable read. I highly recommend this book. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Patsy Sacco
**I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review** Just as Sierra has graduated high school, her mother and her long-time boyfriend are finally getting married. The only problem is that her mom's boyfriend's son will be around. When they went to the same school, he used to tease her so bad she wanted to cry. Being around him now though, is it possible he didn't realize how much his teasing bothered her? Overall, I really liked this story. The characters were done well. I liked hearing Jagger's thoughts and the fact that he wasn't purposefully cruel helped a lot. I just didn't care for some of the actions and easy forgiveness at the end. Other than that, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it.
I couldn't really understand how after spending what like 2 weeks together she then won't get close to anyone else because she is still so madly in love with Jagger. Then 5 years after last seeing him, everything goes back to the way it was straight away. I'm sorry but even if you were madly in love, 5 years is a long time, they would effectively be completely different people to who they were then so no you aren't immediately in love with that person, you are in love with who they were 5 years ago!
I loved this story of Jagger and Sierra. We all know that when little boys like little girls, they usually show it by teasing them. What happens when that little boy and girl grow up and their parents marry each other? Now he sends videos of him stripping to her. Jagger is a really hot, sexy man now, and he has fallen in love with his stepsister, but he will be leaving for the Navy in two weeks. This book has lots of twists and turns, and I read all night to finish it, because I could not sleep until I had reached the end. I highly recommend it.
I loved Tease, it was a great read! I'm glad Veronica Daye doesn't tease the readers and delivers a really hot and steamy romance story. But, and this is a great 'but', as a reader I wanted to spend some more time with Jagger and Sierra. I wanted to lose myself reading more about the time they spend together and even how they spent their time apart. I just would have loved for there to have been more about these characters that Veronica describes and wrote about so well!
The very first part of this book I thought was promising...and then it went downhill for me. After the story went back to present day I just couldn't get into it. I didn't feel the connection between Sierra and Jagger, but I figured I might as well keep reading because it might get better. Yeah it didn't. By the end of part 2 leading into part 3 I was just like WTF am I reading. Definitely not the book for me.
It is obvious that the writer is very talented and noticeable in her writing skill. The storyline was very predictable due to many step-brother novels on the shelf. This book was the typical step-sibling romance. Jagger and Sierra were drawn to each other despite the Jagger's relentless teasing and Sierra's declaration of of her hate for him. I just didn't care for some of the actions and quick forgiveness at the end. Other than that, It is an OK read and would recommend it.
I was given a copy for an honest review. This story is hot. You start out with the main characters as late teens and learn a fair bit of back story. The characters are well built very detailed and really fun to read about. There is tons of sexual teasing as the title suggests. Really a interesting story line.
Oh boy, I think that will be my intro from now on when I wish I could rate a book a 10. I have tears in my eyes as I right this review, the book was so very good. Little boys who like little girls pull their hair. Little girls hate little boys who pull their hair. But what happens when that little boy grows up to be a very hot man? Read the book and find out.
This book was superbly written. The taboo romance is so cleverly written. Jagger & Sierra. After being teased at school Sierra can believe that Jagged has changed. Yet 5 years he has changed & they can't stop the attraction but Jagged is hiding a secret that will affect all of their futures. Great read & superbly written.
This book just wasn't my cup of tea. I feel like if it wasn't such a short book I wouldn't have finished it. I read it in about 24 hours. I feel like the whole time I was waiting for this whole blow up with the parents finding out about their relationship but there was nothing like that. The parents couldn't have been happier. That was just weird. I probably won't read another stepbrother book.
I loved this new book by Veronica Daye, full of surprises and HOT HOT SEX!!! Jagger is so SEXY and Sierra is sweet, they are perfect together. I couldn't put this one down till I finished, no Time Out's needed while reading this one! Can't wait for more books by this amazing author!
I don't think I have the words to adequately express how good this book actually is! Sierra is tormented by Jagger as a child. Yet, then he becomes her stepbrother. Yet this isn't your typical oh she's my stepsister book. It has so much more depth than that!
"Love is to weak of a word". No words more true or beautiful. Sometimes things aren't what they seen. They have a wonderful way of being more. Read the story you won't regret it, you may even find yourself in tears at five in the morning.
This was an interesting view from a step-brother standpoint. Even though they had known each other since the 3rd grade, parents were not upset by relationship. Story was good and HEA's are always good. Even when the going doesn't seem to be heading in that direction. Good story
I think I am hooked on these. I think this was so exciting to read, so taboo. For a minute there I was mad when I thought he had died, but glad how it all worked out. Glad that got Derek out of the picture real early too.
Rarely do I give a book 5 stars. When a book makes you feel every emotion in the book and makes you wet it deserves it! Nothing else I can say great love story.
I loved this story. The characters were so well developed. There was sexual content and very minimal violence. This story will make you laugh and cry. This was a first for me with this author and I definitely plan on reading more of her work.
