Loved this vampire book!!
This is the most heartwarming vampire book I have ever read. One of my favorite ones in fact. Conrad and Winnie are such great characters. And the children are hilarious, sweet, adventurous. I don't want to spoil this book for others but just know it's highly entertaining and even though it is very heartwarming, there is spice in here. Which completely rounds out the entire book. I loved it so much. I am not an articulate reviewer so if this is a hot mess, sorry. You need to read this book!!

Good read. Reads easy, but over 500 hundred pages is a little excessive.
No cheating.
Blip ow/om drama.- just someone flirting with him and her sire.
Talk of deceased wife through to the end of the story.
No Virgins
Separations- just a few days because of the sire.
Epilogue- 1 year.
HFN- just together.
Not sure how I feel about this to be honest. It was a good story, however, how can there be a HEA? He's human and she's immortal. He's going to grow old and she isn't.

So, I have to go back and write a few reviews. My dominants arm has been in a cast nearly all summer, and I’m only just starting to get movement back in my fingers. I just finished “Our Nanny is a Vampire” by Roxie Ray and Lindsey Devin, an hour ago, so I might as well start here and work backward.
Details:
This story revolves around widower Conrad Lawrence and his three children- CJ: 11 year old story teller, Bianca: 9 year old analytical genius, and Billie: 5 year old feral Kindergarten wordsmith. They’re all dealing with grief from the loss of his wife Jade, 3 years prior, in their own ways. The brood is making it hard to keep a nanny employed because they’re a lot. Conrad desperately needs one because he’d unexpectedly become a single father of three, consumed by grief and guilt who has fully thrown himself into his work.
Their elderly neighbor Lady Ferdinand recommends a nanny, Winnie, to take the revolving door gig. Well, of course the nanny is the world’s most smoking hot goth who is a secret vampire. This is a Roxie Ray book after all…
Opinions:
Now, when I think of the Roxie Ray books I read (I know there are a hundred) my mind goes to lighthearted, sexy paranormal rom-coms with someone being neuro-spicy or dealing with trauma. They’re not generally what I would call tear jerkers. Surprise, surprise, this one really was for me. Maybe Devin’s contribution is the twist that that made it so much more emotionally charged for me?
The first two chapters had me simultaneously laughing and crying. Grief isn’t something I often choose to read about. Grief caused by parental deaths especially. This one hits particularly hard, but it is still tender and delicate when it needs to be. The hilarious banter of the three children makes up for the sting of sadness.
Spice:
The burn in this one is slow. Like… almost too slow. There’s not a lot of spice, so when the book finally gets sexy I want more than I was given. Writers- this trend of stopping a mid-vaginal oral moment, pre orgasm for penetration is seriously alarming. I don’t think it’s because your character is so hot they need them inside- I think it’s that they give terrible head. Your characters and readers deserve better.
Story- 4.5
Spice/ 2.5.

fucking incredible read
Everything was good. The characters were wonderful. Great pacing. The kids were a joy to read. Great sexual tension without 5 chapters describing sex acts.

it’s an absolute joy to read and a 5 star story

Well, I’m absolutely flabbergasted by this book. It’s starts with the cover. I mean, it’s cute, colorful, showing an adorable woman holding a teddy bear in a style that suggests this story is going to be sweet, entertaining and honestly, lighthearted.
What the reader falls into is a beautifully written exploration of a family deeply bound up in their grief and loss of their mother and their father’s love for his wife. Their center is gone and they’ve been shattered. After three years they haven’t started reconnecting with their father or outside of the home.
There’s an equally strong emotional aspect here. A 200 year old vampire who is carrying her own trauma and deep emotional baggage that has never been fully recovered from.
The Lawrence household, overwhelmed, overworked father Conrad Lawrence, youngest girl Billie, middle child C.J, and oldest daughter Bianca, all of whom are brilliant, talented and perceptive in their own right, and hurting for their father, themselves and their loss.
Immediately, after the children dispatched yet another nanny from the house with an amazing display of engineering enthusiasm, the family heads to the cemetery. And I’m both lost for words for this grieving family and lost in this world and story.
The authors have me in tears and their grip. The dialogue are beautiful, apt to the characters and ages, clever but also poignant. Powerful and funny and emotional. We know what they are thinking and how they feel about each moment.
“The cemetery sat behind a small white church twenty minutes from the house, tucked between old trees and a low, iron fence. Jade hadn’t been especially religious, but she’d liked the cemetery. She’d told me that if people had to be buried anywhere, they might as well be somewhere with decent shade and no highway noise.”
The children are so remarkable, real and connectable. I love them deeply.
“Billie stared out the window with her brows pinched together. “Is Mommy cold?” she asked.”
Oh my heart.

I won’t spoil her entrance or what happened next. I will say it’s scene after scene of things I could picture in my head. The artfully executed conversations, the relatable relationships forming between Winnie and each child, the healing as the family starts to recover and move forward.
There’s also an important side plot about Winnie’s past that comes with trigger warnings. But everything here is thoughtfully written and woven together with the dynamics of the family and slow burn romance that it’s extremely important for Winnie’s character to grow as well for this element to occur.
I kept wondering if something would pop up to keep me from loving this. But even that ending was just right. She’s a vampire with eternal life, they are humans. That’s recognized by both Conrad and herself as a reality of their situation. She’s never going to get old. But the way love is treated and discussed here is impressive.
And it makes sense and so the ending feels satisfying.
I wondered how I would feel about this given how many writers are involved (each author is actually two writers or more) but it’s an absolute joy to read and a 5 star story.
Really, that cover is such a mismatch between it and the complexity of the content inside. Love surprises like this.

From the very first page, this spectacular collaboration by Roxie Ray and Lindsey Devin completely captivated me. It is a delightful read that I cannot recommend highly enough, making it the perfect choice if you want a fun, exciting, and truly laugh-out-loud story to enjoy with a large bowl of popcorn.
Given the title, I expected a predictable and straightforward plot, but I was completely wrong. While the title introduces the core premise, the narrative itself unfolds as a highly entertaining, thrilling experience packed with unexpected plot twists. The fantasy elements are also seamlessly integrated; rather than treating magic like a mere gimmick, the concept of a vampire nanny offers genuine depth and insight into the cast.

Unexpectedly brilliant
The cartoony cover and 80s monster movie-inspired title did not prepare me for the contents of this book. I expected a light, fluffy paranormal romance, but it's so much more.
The writing was engaging and colorful, the characters even more so. They were all my favorite. The romance unfolded beautifully, slowly creeping up until it was as natural as the sunset. The twists were captivating and page-turning in the best ways.
But it was the handling of emotions that was especially evocative. I wasn't prepared for the grief, which is kind of silly to admit when reading a book about a widower with three children and a centuries-old vampire. There's the obvious loneliness and pain of losing a spouse and parent as well as the less-obvious pain of losing everyone all the time. But also the cutting loneliness of putting one foot in front of the other while emptiness tries to take over.
But it was so earnest and raw I almost stopped reading because I thought I wanted light and fluffy. But this was better, and the happy ending was well earned.
This is the kind of book that makes you a little resentful because it's going to be a while before another book hits as hard.

PLEASE GIVE ME MORE!!
Im sorry but this book and this author Roxie Ray had already caught my eye, my interest, my everything. I mean now with the other author Lindsey Devin, this book is now another personal favourite and I don’t know how to feel that I’ve finished the book. The book I read it a bit last night and now, I’ve finished it and the day isn’t over.
I really recommend this book if you want to have fun, be excited and want more. I mean the book can be read better with popcorn because it is damn funny. Billie’s mind is incredible and it’s damn funny. I mean, “hey girlie where did you get this crazy ideas”, so I just fell in love with a little girl’s imagination. I fell in love with the story, the characters but, the children got me captivated. Specially, when nannies said they were crazy!! I’m still suspecting Lady Ferdinand is a vampire too. I mean she lived far longer a human should be. But fine maybe not. Still loved the book but I want more 😅🥹💕🥰💖 good book though really good and enjoyable read

A vampire becomes the nanny for a widowed father and his mischievous children, leading to a sweet paranormal romance full of humor, family, and healing.
I almost DNF'd this before I even started because the content warnings made it sound much darker than it actually was. For me, simply mentioning that the father is grieving his late wife would have been enough.
The story initially gave me Mary Poppins vibes, but with the darker edge of Nanny McPhee. I loved how the nanny saw the unique strengths in each child and guided them through their mischief. The father was overwhelmed but never took it out on his children, and I appreciated that his late wife continued to be remembered instead of being forgotten to make room for the romance.
There are a few explicit scenes, but no more than I'd expect in a typical contemporary romance, and they're easy to skim if that's not your thing.
Overall, this was much lighter than the warnings suggested and turned out to be a charming, funny paranormal romance with a family at its heart.

I loved the nanny and all 3 children!!! Conrad, not so much. Why did he have to mistreated on page 125 thinking about the nanny and then nothing but looks at one another for the rest of the book. There is no spice or heat. There is love of a family and the kids are what drew me in. The 3 children's intellect, witty banter and obvious heart ache over losing their mother and wanting more attention from their father was so apparent! Winnie loved on and gave so much to them. At times, this story gave nanny McPhee feelings but different. There was one love scene and I skimmed it. Winnie, the nanny I wish didnt have such a child like name bc during said love scene it was weird for him to moan said child name. There could have been a 3 to 5 year epilogue and I would have loved it! The writing was good o just did not feel like Conrad was manly. And their love was just meh!
I loved the nanny and all 3 children!!! Conrad, not so much. Why did he have to mistreated on page 125 thinking about the nanny and then nothing but looks at one another for the rest of the book. From the title, I have to admit I was expecting a simple, light and expected read. I'm happy to say I was completely wrong!! This book was exciting, incredibly funny and found ways to be surprising even with the main plot twist being in the title.
All the characters are lovely, witty and truly full of unique personality traits that make you feel like you truly know them and are part of this little family.
I love how eloquent everyone is- especially the children - and the slow burn romance is really thrilling and positive.
I appreciated how very human elements enveloped the story and were treated with respect and lightness: grief, single parenting, loss and freedom.
Even the fantasy elements were perfectly intertwined with the story: the nanny being a vampire truly adds to the story's depth and understanding of the characters, it doesn't just add a magical element for the sake of hype.
Truly a pleasant read!

Surprisingly good.
The following review is going to sound like i know these people but i don't. I received the book's caption as an ad on social media and it sounded intriguing. But it had 1 viewer at the time i read this, and that viewer gave it 3 stars.
I decided to read it anyway. (I have raised several kids and seeing an invitation to read where a nanny outsmarts the kids sounded like it would be hilarious fun.)
That is not really what the book turned out to be. A dad, 3 kids, and their nanny learn how to process grief and loss. Sure, there are funny incidents along the way, but there are some definite tear jerker moments as well.
Kept waiting for the whole reason for 3 stars and never found it. I enjoyed this one so much i am headed over to see what else they write cuz this one was so worth the read.

Interesting concept
This excellent story concept, amazing kids, and decent world building, with an engaging cover is betrayed by the oh so obvious ai dialogue, the particular kind of feeling, and the rule of three on every other page. This could have been my typical 4 star review because, although not life changing, it did what a story is supposed to do. I actually liked it and I really don't care that authors and artists use ai to brainstorm and test creativity, but in a world of witch-hunts over its smallest use, the on purpose, hang a lantern, ambiguous disclaimer at the end about human involvement is upsetting. Respect your audience please and invest in a free scanner. This is not the only story by these pen names, I could say this about, but it was the first I did not dnf over not enough author content.

This is everything a cozy paranormal romance should be - within pages, I fell desperately in love with the children in the story. I want this family to adopt me immediately - but only if Winnie is involved. She sees the children in a way that everyone wants to be seen. Their interests are validated, their "problematic" behavior is seen as a need to connect, and their joy can be felt through the pages.
Honestly - the romance was lovely and warm, but this book is 200% about the kids. Yes, there's a vampire subplot and there's a bit of drama towards the end. But, as Conrad so eloquently puts it - the vampire is one of the least interesting parts of the book.
With this book you will laugh, you will smile, you will feel joy through grief, and you'll want a vampire nanny to become your bestie.

Am a huge fan of Roxie Ray and becoming a fan of Lindsey Devin. Connor is a widowed Dad of 3 which really hit right now and normally I do cry but was not expecting to cry my eyes out. They put me through the wringer, I laughed , i cried, I awwed at certain moments in the story of Winnie meeting and falling for the kids first and then Connor. It was a really slow burn where I was afraid they wouldn't get together. I am ok with spice but this one did not have too much. Just because there are kids doesn't mean spice can't be had. I could totally picture the kids doing their things, laughing with them, crying for them, excited for the. Loved it all around. Would totally recommend.

This was adorable. I enjoyed how it didn't jump straight into romance. It was mostly about Conrad and his kids and them grieving over the loss of his wife, and how Winnie by just being her made Conrad want to be present again and not just be a father who's just working himself to exhaustion to provide for his family. She didn't replace the memory of Jade; instead, she made them face it head-on. I didn't like how much of a short time we got to see them together, literally the last ten percent of the book. I wanted a little more, especially how they're going to deal with the mortality part of their relationship. She’s a vampire and he's human, and I felt like that was kind of brushed off.

One of the most heart warming stories I’ve read this year.
A widower with three young kids struggles to find his way, each of them lost in grief and learning how to move on.
This book has such a cute cover that I didn’t expect it to deal with such heavy topics (but not in a depressing way).
This story is therapeutic and gives hope that love can be found again, that the person that passed doesn’t have to be replaced but that you can move forward while keeping their memory alive.
I formed a bond with each of the characters and loved this story line, definitely a book I will be recommending.

adore this book
Winnie starts working for this family to look after the three children after there Mum died three years ago, each child is incredibly different with their own distinctive personalities but like the littlest one the most because Billie reminded me of my niece when she was little. Especially loved how the writer included all the weird awkward questions that a little kid would ask you. Highly recommend this book such a nice easy read and there’s a really good twist at the end of it that does give it a really good. Really would’ve loved a little bit more at the end like happy ever after epilogue or something like that but overall really satisfying ending

Slow but good
Not what I would call a Happily Ever After… more of a Happy for Now…. There is no conclusion to the fact that he is 40 she is 29 and a vampire and she didn’t turn him and they don’t discuss it… so they have maybe 10–20 more good year together and then the end? Who knows but it was left up in the air.
As a whole the book was Slow going.
Very heavy and repetitive sadness and grief processing because of the loss of the wife/mother.
Spice is good when it’s there but very slow to start. Then goes from 0 to 60 in one page and back to 0 on the next page… spice starts at around 50% through the book.
Still a good read. Would still recommend.

Loved it!
Best book in its genre that I've read in a long time! The kids were amazing, and I especially loved how they grew, they were dimensional. Most people don't flesh out children in books that well unless its a children's book. One comment is the father's "alone time" in the shower felt jarring in this book. I read plenty of spicy books so I'm not averse to spice, but I think maybe because of the kids or something it just felt very unexpected. The later adult scene was fine, at an appropriate time, I don't know it just felt ok unlike the first scene mentioned. Anyway, just my opinion fwiw. Loved the characters, hope to meet them again in a future book!

This is a tale as old as Mary Poppins. Overtired father, rambotious kids and nannies running away. The names of the nannies are a play on several nannies from movies like Nanny Mcfee, Mrs Doubtfire, Mary Poppins, even Julie Andrews! Winnie is almost perfect, 200 years old vampire with lots of experience with children and loneliness. It's funny, and interesting, I was hook with with the nanny running away after the airflow incident.
