✨✨ARC review✨✨
I’m not really a romance reader, but sometimes it’s just fucking NICE to chill with a wholesome little book. and this was EXACTLY that🥹🫶🏼
I loved their relationship, the banter, the glances, the slow realisation. the TENSION??? hello??? 😭🫦 and Cal? yeah, okay. I get it. HOT AS FUCK. 🫠🫠🫠 there’s just something about that man that had me fully invested.
a really lovely story about daring to take chances and learning along the way. there was something about the perspective and the way everything came together that I really enjoyed.
and Bea’s whole story with her parents, and how beautifully that tied into Cal?? I really loved that. it gave the story so much more heart and made the whole thing feel that much more meaningful.
just really fucking cute.
the PERFECT Sunday book ☕️📖🫶🏼
and now PLEASE turn this into a movie because I need to see Cal on a screen and I need to watch all that tension between Luca and Sydney play out. THANK YOU🎬😭🫦

This was such a fun book to read. It had been some time since I've read a college romance, and this one did not disappoint.
I loved how they build their friendship and eventually their relationship. They really got to know each other and even though they don't seem like the most likely match, they are perfect for each other. Of course you have the regular blimp in their relationship.
I would really love to read more about all the other characters as well. I loved both friend groups, they all had such great banter and you really read that they all had lots of love for each other.
Would definitely read more of this series!

🌼 ARC Review 🌼
This was the first ARC that I’ve read and I’m so glad I did.
I love the cover of this book.
I really enjoyed reading Cal and Bea’s story, I loved both of the characters individually as well as together. Their stories and backgrounds were believable, they both had their own battles and reasons for doing what they are and even though their lives and personalities are so different, they complement each other.
I really enjoyed all the side characters and their senses of humour.
The writing was easy to read and follow, the spice was just the right amount without taking over the plot.
Will definitely read some more of this authors works 🌸

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the storyline and watching Bea and Cal’s relationship develop from friendship into something more.
The story starts with Cal, the band’s lead singer, walking off stage after receiving some unexpected news. When the label and his bandmates want answers, he stays vague, which eventually leads to the label dropping the band. He promises his bandmates he’ll fix everything and asks them to give him a year before joining another band.
Cal has to complete his first year of college to receive a trust fund left to him by his grandfather to pay back his bandmates what they lost. That’s where he meets Bea, a girl who isn’t impressed by his charm like everyone else. When they’re forced to spend time together as tutor and student, Bea starts seeing a different side of him, and their friendship slowly turns into something more. They eventually begin seeing each other in secret.
After struggling with writer’s block, Cal finally starts writing songs again. He sends one to his manager, not realizing the manager will leak it. Soon, fans become obsessed with finding out who the song is about, and they eventually discover Bea’s identity. Her tutoring job and letter of recommendation are put at risk, so she asks Cal for some time apart while everything settles down.
When the band discovers that the manager leaked the song, they fire him and get a new manager. Things finally start looking up, including signing with a new label. Cal gives Bea the space she needs, even though he doesn’t want to lose the only good thing in his life. He continues showing her through little things that he still cares.
Eventually, Bea and Cal find their way back to each other and promise to never keep secrets from one another again.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and loved watching Bea and Cal go from friends to something more. I want to know what happened with Luca and Sydney at the bar, hoping the next book is their story. 🤞

I loved this book and loved returning to UMS for other books and stories. First of all, I LOVE the cover. It kind of gives me The Love Hypothesis vibes, but make it rockstar adjacent and the FMC totally looks like Olive, which I love.
I really loved the student tutoring the rockstar so he can get back to his band after blowing it all up. Callum and Beatrix had such great chemistry and they were so cute together. I really loved Cal’s backstory and how his story unfolded, and Beatrix was just so smart and ambitious. They were definitely opposites, but they also had so much in common and genuinely cared about each other.
I also really loved the side characters and NEED their books now! Such a fun and sweet romance and oh yes, it sure was spicy at times but it was really well done. I do think it was a tad bit longer than it needed to be which affected the plot a bit but I still loved it so much and am looking forward to more!
Thank you to Lola Lockhart for the eARC of this book.

ARC Review!!
I was SO excited to read this book when I was selected for ARC and it did not disappoint. Really likeable main characters with a great story. I loved Cal and Bea so much <33 Really good side characters too!! I can’t wait to see if there’s more in the series.
To be honest, the only reason it’s not 5 stars is because sometimes the side characters overshadowed the main characters for me. I did LOVE both Cal and Bea but in some scenes with either Drew, Sydney or Luca I felt myself being much more drawn to them!
Overall, such a fun read!! A good twist on a university romance <33

ARC REVIEW!!
This book HOOKED me from chapter one, which I rarely ever find. The storyline is incredible and I love how the MMC wasn’t this far-fetched idiot, he was just an extremely likeable character with a lot of stuff going on. It’s a slow-burn without making you wait too long for any action to happen which is a massive bonus, I also like that the inevitable period of separation wasn’t caused by another girl coming between them. A great easy read, especially on a cosy night!

How addictive and refreshing is this book? I loved it!
The characters, Bea and Cal, are beyond adorable, and the plot was absolutely on point.
I can’t wait to read the next book because I know it’s going to be great as well. I need to know what happened between Sydney and Luca!
Thanks so much for the ARC opportunity, Lola! I truly loved this book.

I started this immediately after I received this in my inbox and could not put it down and finished it within the night.
I really enjoyed this book. The couple were sweet together and loved how Bea was intelligent and Cal was willing to put her first.
On the edge of my seat waiting for more.

I just couldn't do it
This book dropped f* bombs like parade floats throw out candy...both are reckless. I didn't finish the first chapter because the cringe was on red alert.

Absolutely LOVED the dynamic between Cal and Bea.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Lola Lockhart book but it’s been so nice delving back into the world of University of Mountain springs.
The slow burn was brilliant, the rockstar dynamic was really fun, and Bea as a powerful FMC was great.
Can’t wait for the next in series!!
