For ten year-old Remi Muldoon, being SMALL is a BIG problem-- especially with the kids at school. And when Remi's attempt to become popular upsets the balance of the universe, things get worse. MUCH worse. Now, Remi must race against the clock to fix history before it's too late and along the way, he might just learn that the smallest of kids can have the biggest of lives. In this first book in the Big Life graphic novel series, Author/Illustrator Daniel Kenney brings us the spunky, curious, and loveable Remi Muldoon. Perfect for children ages 7-10, The Big Life of Remi Muldoon is an illustrated book that will have kids laughing all way!
Daniel Kenney and his wife Teresa live in Omaha, Nebraska with zero cats, zero dogs, one gecko, and lots of kids. When those kids aren't driving him nuts, he writes writes books and does a lot of laundry. A lot. No, seriously, you can't possibly imagine how much laundry he does.
As someone who assists in a primary school library I read a lot of children's books, and there are certain things I look for in an ideal book: a good and engaging story, good English, some kind of message to take away, something to learn, and humour. The Big Life of Remi Muldoon has all of those and is now one of my favourite books for this age group.
He’s special. His Mom knows it, and being the fantasmagorical Mom she is she does everything she can to help him realize it. I’m looking forward to reading this with my Grandkids.

The author seemed to be inspired by a lot of ideas from other stories that were set in the 1980s or early 1990s. Knowing this his target audience will think the stories are fresh. The writing is good and the story is engaging. Plus it teaches some history along with friendship.
