The happiest biker falls for the most academically brilliant, socially awkward woman he’s ever met in this electrifying small-town, opposites-attract romance from USA Today bestselling author Scarlett Cole, writing as S. Cole.

SUNNY
I thought my job was protecting the men who ride beside me.
Then I met the brilliant, socially awkward Dr. Della Hart.
She’s the smartest person I’ve ever known. She can explain why alligators are ecological engineers, identify a bird by its call, and somehow make a patch of mud sound like the most important place on Earth.
Me?
I once tried to microwave a Pop-Tart still in the wrapper.
While Della notices every bird, every flower, and every tiny change in the water that tells her someone is poisoning an entire ecosystem, she doesn’t notice the men following her, or the ones lying to her.
Good thing I do.
She says she doesn’t need protecting.
That’s cute.
Because somewhere between making her laugh, listening to her passionately explain why wetlands are worth saving, and watching her fight for a place everyone else has forgotten, she became my favourite person.
Everyone thinks I’m the funny one, the laid back one, and they’re right.
Until they come after Della and give me a reason to show them who I really am.

Four-time RITA finalist, Scarlett Cole, is a contemporary romantic suspense / contemporary romance author (represented by Louise Fury at The Bent Agency) who calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.

She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged side…and usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6” men you read about in romance!). She’s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesn’t want to.

When she isn’t writing, she’s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Don’t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devil’s food. As long as you don’t bring up olives, she’s happy to hear from any time.

A biker and a professor are hardly an obvious match, but Sunny and Della just WORKED! Absolutely loved them!

Their first meeting had me thoroughly entertained, and their banter had me smiling like an idiot. They’re so different, yet somehow fit together so naturally, and the chemistry between them? 🔥

Sunny really stole my heart. He might not think much of his own intelligence, but the way he treats Della says everything about the man he is. Seeing her finally let her guard down and find someone who appreciates her for who she is made me so happy. They bring out the best in each other, and I was rooting for these two the entire time.

The Iron Outlaws just keep getting better! Between the romance, the spice, and the MC drama, I was glued to the book. I also loved that Sunny and Della’s story had its own feel while still giving us the brotherhood and club dynamics I enjoy about this series.

These two were such a fun surprise, and I’m excited to see what comes next!

~~~~
A sincere thank you to S. Cole and The Author Agency for the ARC! 🥰📚
I’m so grateful for the early read. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own. ✨
Its the third book in the Iron outlaws MC. Even though i havent read the first two books i didn’t feel like i was missing information. Did it get me interested in the first two books? Hell yes but other than that its centerted mostly around Sunny and Della.
Sunny has had a pretty bad upbringing. He never knew his father and his mother is a heavy alcholic who neglected him so he dropt out of high school and feels stupid compared to others in an academic sense.
Della has had a good-ish childhood. While her parents didnt neglect her they are all academic high achievers and even though she has a doctorate they undermine her achievments since they are not in their selected fields.
On paper this two are like oil and water - they shouldn’t work, they are different in all and every way and yet, they complement each other so beatufully that they feel like the other half of eachother. The way Della lets go and finally lets herself be real with Sunny and how sweet and attentive Sunny actually is enthralling to see. I loved every second that i spent reading the book. The chemistry, the spice and the actuall plot of the book keep you glued to your phone( or the device you read it on). I honestly cant wait to go back and read the first two books and than await to get the fourth book in the series. The author did an amazing job with this series!
Disclamer : for those who read MC romances - there is no cheating with the bunnies - once Sunny sees Della she is it for him and he decides to do everything in his power to keep her by his side
✨ ARC Review ✨
“Maybe the point isn’t to find the person who is cut from the same cloth you are. Maybe it’s about finding the person whose differences make your whole damn life run better.” 💫
First of all, I love the unique pairing! A scientist/professor FMC x motorcycle club MMC?! Such an interesting combination! And their first meeting is unforgettable! 😂💗
While Sunny is bored with his life, he’s suddenly happy when Della crashes into it lol. The suspense adds even more fun to the story, and their conversations with each other are sooo funny! Loll, such a rare golden retriever MMC we have here! 🥹💛
Even though they come from completely different worlds, which makes them hesitant about each other at first, I feel so sad seeing Sunny constantly put himself down. But then Della comes into his life and helps him realize just how amazing he is. 💛 They’re such an odd pairing, yet they fit together like a match made in heaven! They’re so sweet and have such good communication. I especially love how Sunny listens to Della and makes her feel seen and heard. :,) AGHHH, THESE TWO! 💗
Regarding their families, I’m glad that both of them grew up to be amazing people despite their difficult childhoods. Della grew up in a family that constantly put her down, while Sunny was raised by a single alcoholic mother who neglected him. My heart aches for Sunny and everything he went through as a child. :( No child deserves to grow up in an environment like that.
And that scene where Della puts his mom in her place? YES, GIRL! And when Sunny sings Della’s praises in front of her parents… OMG, I TEARED UP! 😭💗 They really are made for each other! :,)
Oh! And I absolutely love what Ridge says about the comparison between motorcycles and couples/marriage. 💗💗 You got me there! Such a good saying!
And the spice issss YUUUMMM! 🔥 Who would’ve thought Della had such a unique kink and Sunny would be more than happy to fulfill it for her?! 👀🌶️
And now I can’t wait for the next story!!! OMG, GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!!
Thank you for the ARC, S. Cole & The Author Agency! 💛
This is a gorgeous read! An opposites-attract MC romance with great characters, fantastic chemistry, and a sweet, steamy romance that is wonderfully functional. I loved this book!
This is the third book in the Iron Outlaws MC: Florida series, and while there is obviously character crossover, you could read this as a standalone – but don’t miss the earlier books because they are amazing!
Sunny is the happy, self-appointed clown of the Outlaws. He’s always smiling, he loves to joke and he brings a lightness to the group. He’s also a complete sweetheart, so when he meets a woman out in the wetlands running from danger, he doesn’t hesitate to jump in and help. Della is an environmental scientist investigating the declining health of her beloved wetlands. She suspects foul play, and when it becomes clear that she is being targeted by an unknown threat, Sunny and the Outlaws go all in to help her.
She’s brilliant, feisty but socially awkward, he’s a self-deprecating outlaw golden retriever who didn't graduate high school. They shouldn’t make sense, but their chemistry is undeniable. And when sheltered Della asks Sunny to help her explore her wild side, it sparks a wildly passionate affair that quickly and effortlessly becomes more as they fall hard, fast, and completely for each other.
I wasn’t expecting this. I wasn’t expecting to hold a woman who melts into my chest like she’s finally found somewhere quiet enough to just feel comfortable being herself.
I love these two together. They’re open and honest, they communicate well, they explore their emotions and their wild lust for each other, and they don’t hide what they’re feeling. There’s absolutely no game playing, which I love! They follow their hearts and bring excitement, and a feeling of more into each other’s lives, while giving each other a safe place. Despite their differences, their relationship is easy, functional and so freaking sweet!
“You’re gonna have to bring the brains, but in every other way, I got you.”
There is drama and action, along with mystery and suspense as Della and Sunny work to understand what’s going on in the wetlands, who is behind the threats, and uncover dangerous corruption. It all ties in to the love story and the MC, and I was fully invested.
The rest of the Outlaws are a part of the journey, and I loved seeing them all again. This is a fantastic group, and with the hint we’re given for the next book, I am so excited to continue on.
Scarlett Cole has delivered another fantastic read.
4.5 stars.
I read this book so fast, and it quickly popped to the top of my favorites from this author. While the biker and the wetlands scientist (associate professor did not have the dramatic effect I was looking for) should not work, I love these two for each other.
Della is smart, gifted and passionate about her work. I love how she and Sunny meet. Sunny is the opposite of Della, but the way her treats her, only has eyes for her, and her work genuinely interests him. They complete each other. Both our characters did not have the best upbringings or role models, and yet they are better for it.
I love the journey these two give us to their HEA. As we are in a Iron Outlaws MC book, there is danger lurking, and no disappointment there. The suspense was part of this journey.
S. Cole is a one click author for me; she always gives us a great read. Her attention to the details always surprises me, a fresh story, I am addicted to her writing.
Iron Outlaws MC Florida – Sunny
Talk about a book where two opposites attract this is a book for you. First of all, I love how they met and secondly even though they are opposites they are alike in some ways as well. Sunny was a drop out and didn’t think of himself as smart. Della is extremely gifted even earning a doctorate. I loved watching them find the best in each other and the way they seen that they both deserve some validation. They interactions includes humor as well.
You know with the Iron Outlaws MC there is always club drama with danger and suspense. But it is the good feeling in this book with Della and Sunny that made this book set apart from others. Anytime this author brings another book to us I wonder how she keeps coming up with fresh ideas and the all-consuming way that she brings me into her books. She is an author that I highly recommend.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely adore Sunny, the golden retriever! While he might believe he's not the brightest, Della certainly sees him differently. Della is incredibly smart and knows how to stand up for herself.
I have a deep affection for these characters and this book, and I can't wait to continue following this series!
Thank you for this amazing opportunity to read the eARC, and I am happy to provide my honest review in return.
⭐ **Book Review | Scarlett Cole** ⭐
Y'all, I will NEVER stop recommending anything Scarlett Cole writes, but when I tell you this book hit a little close to home, I mean it! 🥹❤️
As a plus-size girlie who knows what it's like to be overlooked, ignored, and never made a priority growing up, Della's story touched a part of my heart I wasn't expecting. It makes me so happy when authors write plus-size characters and actually GET IT RIGHT. And Scarlett Cole did just that! I can honestly say Della and Sunny's story is by far my FAVORITE! ❤️
Let's talk about Lucas "Sunny" Reed! 🏍️🔥
You've got this funny, witty, badass biker who always seems to have something smart to say, yet deep down, Sunny struggles with feeling like he doesn't measure up because he isn't the smartest person in the room. Despite his difficult upbringing, he's managed to make a pretty good life for himself. And underneath all that confidence, humor, and biker attitude is a man who has his own insecurities.
Then there's Della. 🥹💕
She's incredibly intelligent, academically accomplished, and has a doctorate to prove it. But despite everything she's achieved, she's never quite felt good enough in her family's eyes. Her parents didn't neglect her, but coming from a family of academic high achievers, her accomplishments were constantly undermined simply because she didn't follow the fields they believed she should pursue.
And what I absolutely LOVED about these two was that Sunny wasn't knocked off his feet by Della's looks or some idea of a "perfect" body.
**He was fascinated by her BRAIN. He found adventure in HER.** ❤️
These two shouldn't make sense together in the eyes of the world. They come from completely different backgrounds, have different strengths, and see life differently. But somehow, they make perfect sense together!
And can we talk about their meet-cute?! 😂 Sunny practically running Della over, then managing to smile through the uncertainty and throw out his signature witty comments! I knew right then these two were going to be something special.
I loved watching them navigate each other's worlds, from their hilarious banter and socially missed cues to the way they learned from one another. Their relationship might have been a whirlwind, but there was nothing fake about it. They respected each other, flaws and all, and weren't afraid to protect one another, especially when it came to their families.
But there's one thing about their relationship that really stuck with me. 🥹
**Sunny likes collecting forgotten things, and Della has spent so much of her life feeling forgotten.**
And in a way, Sunny found her, too. 😭❤️
He saw someone worth loving, worth protecting, and worth choosing. With all his confidence, humor, and witty remarks, he helped Della find the confidence she deserved to have all along. Watching her grow into herself and embrace being the old lady of Lucas "Sunny" Reed made my heart so happy!
And let's not forget the brotherhood, the found family, and the acceptance from the ladies! 🏍️💕 Those moments brought so much warmth to an already beautiful story.
This book has SO MUCH HEART, and it's because of these two characters. They're not perfect. They have flaws, insecurities, and completely different upbringings. But they never needed each other to be perfect. They just needed to be understood, respected, and loved for exactly who they were.
And maybe that's why this story meant so much to me.
Because sometimes all you really want is someone who sees you, chooses you, and makes you feel like you're more than enough just as you are.
**I'm so glad Sunny and Della got their happily ever after, because as someone who found her own, I know just how special that kind of love can be.** 🥹❤️
Scarlett Cole, you absolutely stole my heart with these two! 🖤📚
It’s zero secret that I am a HUGE fan of Scarlett Cole, and she has absolutely knocked it out of the park once again with Sunny Undone. I was completely hooked from the exact second Sunny rescues Della. By the time he was doing naked yoga and Ridge showed up on the scene, I was a goner—there was absolutely nothing stopping me from devouring this story until the very last page.
Every single page delivers amazing, snappy dialogue. Della (aka Indy) is hands down one of the best characters Scarlett has ever written, and Sunny is just as incredible. I honestly felt such a deep kinship to both of them. The last time I connected with characters this heavily was Niro and then Wraith, even if it was for totally different reasons!
The plot itself is brilliant, delivering the perfect mix of spice, danger, found family, intrigue, and mystery. It’s definitely not as dark as Vandal's story, but instead, it’s pure "Sunny"—which fits his character perfectly. The way he brings out a whole new side to Della was absolute perfection and I was so here for it all.
Honestly, do yourself a massive favour and pick this one up. In fact, just go ahead and grab every single book this author has ever written because you won't be disappointed!
My thanks to TAA and Scarlett Cole for the opportunity to read an early copy of Sunny Undone. All thoughts expressed are my own. 😊
Sunny Undone is book three in the Iron Outlaws MC: Florida series. This is a small town, opposites attract, MC romance. This story focused on main characters Sunny and Della. For maximum enjoyment, it's highly recommended to start at book one of this series.
Sunny is the Tail Gunner of the Florida Iron Outlaws chapter. He was kinda the class clown type, joking around and sometimes being the butt of the joke. He is always down for an adventure. But in this book, we witness him vulnerable, where we see how much emotional hurt he's endured his whole life.
Della is a scientist and a professor. She's extememly passionate, especially about her wetlands. She's been so focused on her research, academics, and her work that she's kind of an uptight person and is lacking experiences in other aspects of her life. This is mostly due to her families unreasonable expectations. She was independent and at times could be sassy and stubborn.
While the golden retriever biker meets socially awkward scientist trope had a lot of potential, I just couldn't connect with Della and found her constant feminism exhausting. I liked Sunny's laid back, protective attitude, but Della's rigid opinions and continuous lecturing made her character feel too one dimensional.
Their story had a mix of drama, spice, humor, violence, mystery, investigation and adventure. I felt there was a lot of unresolved issues in the book. Like the drama with her parents and the drama with Sunny's mom. I also found it odd how Sunny is portrayed versus described. At times things just didn't line up or make sense to me. Overall it was just an OK read.
Sunny and Della shouldn't have worked together a multiple levels, yet they did. I liked how different they were, how Della never made Sunny feel stupid or dumb, how Sunny supported Della in what she was doing and how both of them had each others backs when there parents were being awful. While things were a bit rocky with the club at first, Della found her place and let those that tried to put her down know just who she was. Loved seeing how all the brothers supported Della and Sunny, from their relationship and the fight to figure out what was going on with the land.
Their story was soooo good!!!! I loved their dynamic and that they were so opposite but brought so much more out of each other. I loved their dynamic nerdiness of the FMC and all the banter. They were also funny in their own unique way. I loved it.
I really liked it - two broken people who find healing together. Cole takes the smart good girl x bad boy trope, and turns it around by having each put the other's traumas (in each case, their parents) first and helping each other heal.
ARC reçu en échange d’un avis honnête
TW: violence, aggression
J’adore cette série de Scarlett Cole et j’étais impatiente de découvrir l’histoire de Sunny surtout après le cliffhanger du tome précédent. Alors autant dire que quand j’ai eu la chance de recevoir un ARC de ce roman, je n’ai pas perdu de temps avant de me plonger dedans. On suit donc Sunny, un des membres des Iron MC et Della, une scientifique qui a un fort intérêt pour l’écologie des Everglades. La rencontre entre ces deux-là est inconventionnelle et leur relation encore plus. Parce qu’on ne va pas se mentir c’est assez incongru de mixer écologie et bikers qui sont deux mondes opposés. Mais Sunny va prouver que ça ne l’est pas tant que ça. Il est immédiatement attiré par Della. Elle est très différente des femmes qu’il côtoie habituellement et autant dire que c’est également l’opposé de Sunny: elle est sérieuse, organisée et a besoin de tout planifier à l’avance alors que Sunny prend les choses comme elles viennent sans trop s’en faire. Très vite une relation spéciale se crée entre eux et Sunny veut tout faire pour aider Della comme il le peut même s’il ne comprend pas grand chose aux écosystèmes, la biologie et tout ce qui touche à la biodiversité. Mais il fait l’effort de s’y intéressé pour Della et quand elle découvre que ses recherches la mettent en danger, il va tout faire pour vouloir la protéger. Encore plus quand lui et le reste des Iron Outlaws vont découvrir que les recherches de Della pourraient bien les aider à protéger le club d’un projet dont ils ne veulent absolument pas.
J’ai adoré ce tome. C’est une vraie pépite que ce soit au niveau de l’histoire ou des personnages.
Sunny est un green flag ambulant. C’est le gars cool, toujours de bonne humeur et prêt à rigoler. Par contre il ne faut pas trop le chercher non plus car il est protecteur et loyal et il est prêt à tout pour les gens auxquels il tient. Il a une histoire un peu particulière qui aborde des points intéressants et que j’aurai limite aimé voir encore un peu plus développée. Au vu du personnage, la dernière personne avec qui on attend de le voir c’est une scientifique comme Della qui est très organisée et terre à terre. Mais entre eux la connexion est immédiate. Ce n’est pas étonnant car Della est tout aussi géniale que Sunny. Elle a des convictions très fortes auxquelles elle croit dur comme fer et elle est prête à tenir tête à beaucoup de monde pour défendre l’écosystème si particulier et si précieux des Everglades. Même quand ça pourrait lui coûter son poste et bien plus encore car le capitalsime se moque bien de l’écologie qui rapporte moins que l’exploitation de la moindre parcelle de terrain constructible, quitte à utiliser des méthodes douteuses pour les acquérir… Et c’est ce que Della suspecte mais elle ne pourra jamais leur tenir tête seule. Heureusement elle peut compter sur Sunny et le reste des Iron Outlaws pour la soutenir. Cette relation aussi inhabituelle qu’inattendue va énormément l’aider.
La relation entre Sunny et Della est aussi fun qu’intéressante avec une connexion très forte. Ils ont un respect mutuel l’un pour l’autre malgré leurs différences et c’est vraiment cool à lire.
L’histoire est tout aussi géniale. Mêler protection de l’écosystème et bikers il fallait le faire parce que vraiment ce sont des mondes complètements opposés et Scarlett Cole a réussi ce challenge avec brio. C’est vraiment hyper intéressant car ça soulève beaucoup de points importants qui sont d’actualité plus que jamais et cela dénonce aussi pas mal de réalités. C’est un pari risqué et j’ai adoré. Vraiment Scarlett Cole a un don pour écrire des romances de bikers inconventionnelles et c’est top de lire quelque chose qui sort des sentiers battus. En plus tout est vraiment bien mené. Il y a de l’action et des rebondissements qui font qu’on ne s’ennuie pas et puis bien sûr il y a les Iron Outlaws qui apportent tous un plus à l’histoire et à la relation de Sunny et Della. Surtout quand le club découvre que les recherches de Della sont liés à la protection du club et de leur environnement. Il y a pas mal d’humour et j’ai vraiment passé un super moment de lecture. D’autant plus que j’ai adoré revoir les personnages des tomes précédents (voire des séries précédentes) mais aussi en apprendre plus sur le reste des autres membres du club. D’ailleurs au vu de la fin de ce tome, j’ai hâte de lire le prochain tome qui portera sur Lock et qui doit paraître en janvier 2027.
En attendant je ne peux que très fortement recommander ce livre si vous aimez les romances MC qui cassent les codes et sortent vraiment des sentiers battus parce que c’est le cas avec ce roman (ainsi que tous les autres et les autres séries des Iron Outlaws d’ailleurs).
Beyond the Synopsis…
Some authors write stories you enjoy, and then there are authors like S. Cole, who make you fall headfirst into a story, steal a little piece of your heart, and remind you exactly why you fell in love with romance in the first place. Every time I pick up one of her books, I think I know what to expect, and every time she proves me wrong in the very best way. Yet again, she reminds me why she is one of my absolute favourite MC romance writers. She doesn’t simply follow the familiar biker romance formula; she takes it, turns it on its head, and gives us something fresh, unexpected, and utterly unforgettable.
And Sunny Undone, the third book in her Iron Outlaws MC: Florida series, is no exception. This is a story that made me smile, kept me on the edge of my seat, delivered that delicious, sizzling chemistry I crave, and reminded me that sometimes the people who seem the least suited to each other are exactly the ones who can change each other’s lives forever. Another gripping, heart-stealing S. Cole masterpiece, and I absolutely loved it! ❤️🏍️
Give me opposites attract, a fiercely protective biker, a brilliant heroine, and danger lurking just around the corner, and I’m all in! But a biker and Dr. Della Hart, assistant professor in wetlands ecology? Now that’s a pairing you don’t see every day!
When Della jumps out in front of Sunny, I knew this story was going to be something special. Her quick one-liners about wetlands, gravity, and pretty much anything the bikers throw at her had me grinning. Honestly, she reminded me of a female Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds, while Sunny nicknames her Indie after Indiana Jones. These two are so completely different that they absolutely shouldn’t work, yet their connection is instant, their chemistry is sizzling, and somehow they just fit!
But beneath the banter and undeniable attraction, danger is closing in. When Della stumbles across something in the wetlands surrounding the club’s clubhouse, she finds herself in the middle of something far more dangerous than she ever imagined, putting both herself and the club at risk.
What I loved most was watching these two grow. Della learns to let go, spread her wings, and embrace everything life has to offer, while Sunny discovers that he can be loved for exactly who he is. Their journey is packed with emotion, danger, humour, and that delicious chemistry S. Cole delivers so brilliantly.
And, of course, the club gets its moment to shine! One of the things I love about this series is how the MC becomes part of the story rather than simply the backdrop, adding loyalty, brotherhood, and plenty of reasons to keep turning those pages.
Why You’ll Want to Read It
🔥 Opposites attract at its absolute best
🏍️ A fiercely protective biker with a heart worth discovering
🌿 A wonderfully quirky, witty wetlands ecologist
❤️ Instant connection and sizzling chemistry
💥 Danger, twists, and an MC that always delivers
🥹 Two people discovering they can be loved for exactly who they are
WOB65 Verdict
Another S. Cole masterpiece! Sunny Undone is proof that MC romance doesn’t have to follow the usual formula to deliver everything we love about the genre. Sunny and Della are an unforgettable pairing, and I adored watching their worlds collide. With humour, heart, danger, and sizzling romance, this is another fantastic addition to the Iron Outlaws MC: Florida series.
SUNNY UNDONE is the third instalment in S. Cole’s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC: FLORIDA erotic, MC romance, set in the author’s Iron Outlaws MC worlds. This is Wetland Ecologist and assistant professor Dr. Della ‘Indy’ Hart , and tail gunner Lucas ‘Sunny’ Reed’s story line. SUNNY UNDONE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sunny and Della) SUNNY UNDONE follows in the wake of the ‘rescue’ of our story line heroine. Dr. Della Hart is a Wetland Ecologist and assistant professor but our heroine believes someone is poisoning the Gator Flats. Desperate to uncover the truth, Della finds herself the target of some powerful people, and when forced on the run, lands in the safety of the Iron Outlaws MC. Lucas ‘ Sunny ‘Reed is determined to protect our story line heroine but at every turn, someone is always one step ahead. With the help of his fellow MC brothers, and interconnected MC chapters, Lucas and Della begin to uncover the truth but how deep goes the betrayal, is anyone’s guess.
The world building focuses on environmental disasters, betrayal and vengeance, black mail and greed. The club hierarchy is well defined establishing the power dynamics, as well as the integration of the interconnected MC chapters. Chosen family is more protective than the family by blood, and in this, both Sunny and Della find themselves walking away from the people who should have loved them the most.
The relationship between Sunny and Della begins as a rescue but quickly turns into something more. Della is an intelligent woman who is will to stand up to protect our story line hero; Sunny is a man who is willing to die to protect the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and tenacious secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to Club president Knox and Maren, Havoc, enforcer Vandal and Daisy, Reaper, Ridge, North, Treasurer Lock, Tank, Wren, prospect Baron, and several questionable club girls; Della’s dubious co-workers Mina and Evan, and Dean Whitaker; Sunny’s mother Meg. The requisite evil has many faces.
SUNNY UNDONE is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, credibility, blackmail and betrayal, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is detailed, dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive ; the characters are desperate and determined.
***Nobody Gets Left Behind!**
The third book in the Iron Outlaws MC: Florida Chapter series is Sunny Undone, and I have to say, this Florida chapter just keeps getting better and better! I absolutely fell in love with Sunny and Della, and I can easily see them becoming my new favorite couple. And that is saying a lot because nobody has been able to take that spot since I fell in love with Niro and Cat!
What I love so much about Sunny and Della is that, on paper, they shouldn't make sense as a couple, but at the same time, they make perfect sense together! They are complete opposites in so many ways, yet those differences are exactly what make them work so beautifully.
As Sunny said so perfectly, each day has led him and Indy on a new adventure, and along the way, they find each other. What follows is a relationship built on showing up, supporting one another, and standing up for each other, even when it means going against family. Because while blood may make you related, family is about the people who stand beside you when it matters most.
I loved seeing Sunny and Della learn to communicate openly, understand each other, and recognize the things that make them who they are. There is something so special about finding someone who truly sees you, understands you in ways nobody else ever has, and accepts you exactly as you are. When you find that person who stands beside you, believes in you, and has your back no matter what, you know you've found your ride-or-☠️!
Of course, this is the Iron Outlaws MC, so we still get the suspense, mystery, danger, and action we love about the MC brotherhood! The loyalty, the brotherhood, and the way these men always have each other's backs are everything we expect and love about this series. Nobody gets left behind, and nobody fights alone!
Sunny and Della stole my heart with their unexpected connection, opposite personalities, and the way they became exactly what the other needed. Their story reminded me that love doesn't have to make sense to anyone else. It just has to be real and honest and only make sense to each other.
FYI, Niro and Cat are still the OG couple, and nobody is taking their crown just yet! However, I am happy to say Sunny and Della have worked their way into my heart and earned themselves a spot as a favorite couple alongside them.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This may be my favorite book by this author, and her books are all fantastic!
Sunny and Della bring something really special to the table. Something so joyful, vulnerable and inspiring. There’s courage in their vulnerability, there’s such loyalty in their defense of each of either. I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted to be in a fictional relationship as much as I do their’s.
Sunny and Della bring whimsy and practicality together in a way that had me laughing and swooning, it made my heart melt with sheer happiness.
The joy I felt from these two misfits is immeasurable. They feel they aren’t quite enough for anyone, yet they maintain a level of support to the people around them that’s so unwavering it made me adore them so much.
The majority of the people around them never see their strength’s, what they’ve overcome and what they fear. That’s part of the magic they have with each other, they see and appreciate each other as they are, it’s the dream romance in my opinion. They’re opposites who see the other as a sparkling gift, I LOVE the kindness and humanity these two bring.
Della is a professor of wetlands ecology, she’s incredibly intelligent, passionate about nature and her work. Sunny had learning difficulties and believes he isn’t smart because he was told that enough as a child and teenager, he unfortunately still believes it. Della sees through the jokes and the people pleasing behavior he shows and understands he’s so much more than that, and he is smart. The support and adoration he has for Della is enough to let me know he is a very smart man.
There’s humor, mystery, action and great spice. The emotions are big and powerful in this story.
I love the banter between Della and Sunny so much. It’s clever and engaging.
The mystery and suspense is great, it affects Della and oddly enough the MC as well.
This is a fantastic story that delves deep into the thoughts and feelings of two very lovable characters who are generous, loyal and sincere. It’s so entertaining and such a feel good story. I highly recommend this book, author and all of her books.
This story and Sunny and Della are something more than spectacular to me.
S. Cole has once again written the most incredible MC romance story! Her Iron Outlaws series is hands down the best I have ever read. Every time I pick up her latest story, my expectations are off the scale, and I absolutely love that this author exceeds them EVERY SINGLE TIME. You’d think that by book nineteen, a series might start to become a little samey. How wrong can you be?! This author has once again delivered a story that feels fresh, exciting, and completely unputdownable. And now? I’m left desperate for MORE!
Della and Sunny are absolutely perfect for each other. For two complete opposites, they have the most incredible chemistry, and their connection is palpable throughout every single chapter. I LOVED witnessing their interactions, and I especially loved seeing Della receive the support and encouragement that she truly deserves from Sunny. Equally, I loved how Della sees Sunny for the incredible person he is. These two just work, and I adored every moment of their story!
One of the qualities I find incredibly attractive in a person is intelligence, and Della brings that in abundance. I found her work and findings genuinely intriguing, and I loved learning alongside her. Honestly, I did not want to put my Kindle down whilst reading this story. I was completely hooked, and there is absolutely nothing I didn't love about it!
Of course, this story wouldn't be what it is without the Outlaws doing what they do best! I love spending time with all the Outlaw brothers. Their banter, loyalty, and camaraderie are everything, and I never tire of being back in their world. They really have chosen the best Old Ladies, and honestly, what I would give to be one of them!
I cannot recommend Sunny Undone highly enough, but if you haven't started this incredible series yet, please do yourself a favour and go right back to the beginning in New Jersey with The Sins We Hide, Clutch and Gwen's story. Trust me, you won't regret it!
S. Cole has once again delivered a phenomenal read, and I've found another top read of 2026. Nineteen books in, and I'm still every bit as obsessed with these Outlaws as I was at the beginning. I have a strong feeling you will be too!
5 stars.
I have never come across a biker in a MC Romance novel that was as jovial as Sunny. He was the epitome of sunshine, and I simply adored him.
We’ve met Sunny in Knox’s and Vandal’s books and he was always the funny one, the jokester so to speak, he always had a smile on his face.
Even when almost running Della over during their meet cute, he found a way to smile through the uncertainty and made some witty comments.
Della is such an academically strong character. She’s not the “most beautiful girl around”, she didn’t knock Sunny off his feet with her looks or her “perfect” body. She fascinated him with her brain. He found adventure in her.
I adored these two. They are such opposites, yet they are so perfect for each other. While Sunny brings the brawn, Della brings the brains and together, they seem impossible.
I loved how they stood up for each other when “meeting the parents”, when Della decided to stand up to the club girls, when she stood up for her work, when she stood up to a biker who teased her. And I loved how Sunny watched and was proud of her for it.
This book has a lot of heart in it and it’s because of these two characters. They’re not perfect, they have their flaws. They have different upbringings and yet they respect each other. Their relationship was a bit of a whirlwind but it was genuine. Lots of banter, some socially missed cues, both Sunny and Della being adorable when trying to understand each other’s worlds, brotherhood and found family, acceptance by the ladies.
Sunny didn’t have to beg his brotherhood to accept Della as his old lady, they genuinely liked her from the start. He is fiercely protective over her and she over him.
When faced with danger, she knew Sunny would come help her. She used her brain and sought him out for help.
I didn’t want this book to end. Sunny and Della were very entertaining.
Anyone can write a hot, broody biker. Not everyone can write the women who love them as brilliantly as Scarlett Cole does.
That’s why Scarlett Cole’s MC romances are elite. Give me all the club drama you want, but I’m here for the women: diverse, complicated, capable, and absolutely fabulous. Rae. Cat. Isla. And now Della.
Dr. Della Hart is an environmentalist Indiana Jones and I adore her. She’s brilliant, socially awkward professor researching environmental hazards in the Everglades surrounding the MC. Quirky and fiercely passionate about ecology, she believes every problem can be solved with peer reviews and healthy communication.
She defends Sunny when people take jabs at his intelligence or the fact that he dropped out of school, literally runs into the street to flag down a biker for help, and complains about being a blotchy crier after Sunny takes a picture of them for her safe person. Honestly, same girl. I get it.
AND THEN THERE’S SUNNY.
The man is literally sunshine. He rescues broken things. people, furniture, three legged cats and his alcoholic mother whenever she falls off the wagon. He just keeps trying to put everything back together. And this man GOOGLES WHICH FOODS TO MAKE DELLA TO HELP WITH HER CRAMPS
He’s thoughtful and protective without ever feeling threatened by Della’s intelligence or independence. He doesn’t need her to be less so he can feel like more.
And Della sees him, not his education, his past or what other people assume about him. I absolutely love these two together.
Also, I, like Della, am a feminist twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. I do not need to be diminished into a sexist pet name. But Sunny can diminish me into a pet name anytime. Apparently, my feminism has a very specific exception.
Give me more women like Della and more men who know exactly how extraordinary they are.
Calling all fellow Iron Outlaws MC addicts, we have a new story and Sunny is everything you could have imagined and more. Where Vandal Unbound is a darker storyline, this one is the polar opposite and Sunny certainly lives up to his road name with his story and meet cute, (I will die on this hill, it’s a meet cute, just not the ordinary one!!) with Della.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. How could I not when it has one of my favourite lines ever.
“So, Indy, what do you say. Are you gonna let me raid your ark?”
I devoured this book and have gone back to it many times since just for a hit of Sunny and Della. They have taken over as my favourite couple of all three series without a doubt because they were so much fun to read. Not kidding, there were so many scenes that had me laughing out loud while reading.
Add in explosive chemistry that has Della and Sunny burning up the pages, while Della finds her sexual self and Sunny lets loose with some of the best lines you will read this year.
“If you’re gonna suffocate me, I’d rather you did it riding my face.”
Bring that together with trouble that the Brothers deal with in their own unique way, a threat to Della that has them closing ranks around her and the club, surprise cameos from other Iron Outlaw Brothers and you have a story that hooked me from the first lines, kept me awake reading and reluctantly finishing the book because I wasn’t ready to leave Sunny and Della just yet. (Thank you re-reads) Well played S. Cole, well played indeed.
Every book has me falling deeper and deeper into the fictional world she writes and keeps me coming back for more.
I absolutely love a good MC romance and S. COLE really knows what she’s doing with this series. Iron Outlaws MC Florida has been one of my all time favorites as a series. The main characters are opposites attract in all the best ways. He falls first, fast and wants forever if she’s willing to do that. The Florida series has had me laughing out loud and loving each of these characters.
Sunny is seen as the funny one, not as smart as some of the others in the outlaws( he didn’t finish high school and is very hard on himself). His job in the club is to make sure no one is left behind .
Della is extremely smart scientist studying the Everglades and makes a discovery in her research that has put her in danger. The property she has researched most of her life is next to the Iron Outlaws land. She however doesn’t see herself as anything special. In her family she isn’t doing what she could be…not a doctor but a disappointment. Her parents don’t support her. Her job doesn’t support her ( funding for her research is running out and often sent to other programs), but she believes in what she’s doing and knows the everglades like no one else.
When running from someone chasing her through the woods she finds Sunny. Right from the get go there is Chemistry. She begs him to help her get away. He calls her Indy, and loves everything about her, her dedication to the land, her understanding of connection and the fact that for the first time in his life someone really sees him for who he is, not what he can do for them.
These two couldn’t be more perfect.
Okay, first of all, I love this author! However, I don't read this series bc it's a little too dark/gritty for me. I couldn't resist the blurb for Sunny & Della's story, though! And it was definitelythe right call! 💚
Della is awesome! I love her dedication to the wetlands & the way she explains things. She's been put down her whole life by the ppl who love her bc they think she squanders her talents. But she's brilliant and brave, even when she thinks she's not.
And Sunny! He's struggled, in many ways. And he thinks he's not smart - he makes a lot of self-deprecating remarks - but he's confident in his club role. The thing is, tho, he's no less brilliant, just in a different way. Della sees his intelligence in their conversations & lets him know she doesn't like anyone - including Sunny! - putting him down. They stand up for each other!
There's danger & intrigue, a mystery to solve. As Della gets to know the club, she sees a new perspective on a few different things, which was cool. Sunny helps her be more confident... part of that confidence comes out during their very, very steamy times. 🔥🌶🔥🌶! They both learn new things about intimacy... 😁
Even though their story did have some things I had to skip, I enjoyed the story & ADORE both Della & Sunny. His heart & wit & observations are beautiful & awesome. And the club family - tho, yes, grittier than I can handle as a whole - made me smile, too. They care about Della bc she's important to Sunny, but also bc they genuinely like her. And their interactions & conversations are important, too.
😍😍😍
I ADORED Sunny and Della!
They were practically perfect (I wonder how Dr. Della would react to that description?!?!) in so many ways that just want more…which isn’t necessarily unusual with the characters in this world, but they’ve definitely made it to the top shelf of my fav couples.
What I loved about both of them was that they were absolutely genuine about how they see themselves and the world they live in. Do they have their doubts and insecurities…yup, and at times they do adjust to make situations easier, but at the end of the day, they stick to their guns. Which made watching them fall for each other so much fun because they truly liked each other for who they were. I loved their bantering and how they actually communicated with each other about everything that was going on with them…and to say the chemistry between them was HAWT is an understatement, so I’m very happy they got their HEA.
I love this series. I’m a full on #fangirl and enjoy getting to know the people in the new chapter better with each book and wondering just who we’ll get to catch up with from Colorado and New Jersey, and though my absolute FAV was not in this one, I loved the update we did get. As for the situation that brings Sunny and Della together, it was unique and eye opening ~ I will say that I learned a lot from Dr. Della Hart, but I do have to wonder if one of the side characters will make an appearance somewhere down the road…But now to wait for Lock and his FBI chick!
Oh how I love these Outlaws.
This is Sunny’s story. You might think that he is just the club clown, the one to bring the laughs and most often at his own expense. He’s the guy that brings the lighter moments within the club. But there is so much more to this lovely man. Yes he’s the comedian but he does it to bring his brothers joy and lightness, he has the biggest heart, he watches out for everyone and if he can see a way to brighten someone’s day…he’ll make sure it’s done. His younger years were loveless and lonely, yet he has managed to build himself a great life. Finding a home with his brothers. He’s spontaneous, outrageous, magnetic and desperate for adventure.!
Enter Dr Della Hart….she is quite simply the complete opposite! That’s not to say that she can’t have or appreciate a bit of fun. But her whole life is order when Sunny’s is chaos. Her work life is focused on rules and Sunny is lawless. She craves the quiet gentle peace of her wetland when Sunny lives in the spotlight!
I loved these two. How Della is all in with Sunny and sees how much of an amazing guy he is..he may not think he’s intelligent but he has some very valid and clever insights that Della is totally there for. Sunny loves Della’s brain, loves her passion and commitment as well as everything else about her.
This story is great and I’m loving this Florida Chapter….Lock next and I have a feeling that his story might not be quite as sunshine and smiles as Sunny and Della’s was!
Sunny Undone by Scarlett Cole
Iron Outlaws : Florida #3
Sunny Undone is just a delightful read.  24 hours and I had gobbled it up.
I enjoyed the shift of focus to what Gator Flats as a 'whole' means to the Iron Outlaws MC : Florida and the clubs role as protector of the area.  I absolutely love the call back and cameos from other chapters. This isn't your typical MC storyline. The action is away from the clubhouse and road time and the bad guys really have to go to the Iron Outlaws to cause trouble.
Della is a smart and passionate scientist who has poked her nose into the wrong Everglade. Sunny was in the right place at the right time to keep her safe. Whether he is a 'rescuer' or a collector of lost things, Sunny was the best kind of balance to Della and her big, busy brain. I loved that Della saw through the self-deprecation defense that Sunny uses to hide his intelligence.  He has his smarts and he uses them with insight and patience.
I absolutely adore that Scarlett Cole's FMCs are all individuals.  There are no cookie cutter characters and that is what brings me back. cannot wait for Lock Unchained the fourth book in the series.  They are getting better and better.
With many thanks to the author, Scarlett Cole and The Author Agency for the opportunity to read Sunny Undone ahead of publication.
Sunny may be the funniest MC I've ever read!
Running for her life, Della came across Sunny while he was out for a ride. She found he was exactly the protection she needed, especially after her hotel was ransacked too. Sunny recognized that Della was much smarter than he was, but other than when she got passionate about her subject, she never made him feel like she was. Someone is after Della's work, and Sunny is determined to make her his, so now it's the club's problem as well, especially after they get approached to sell their land too. So what happens when it's the last person she expected working with the bad guys?
Sunny and Della get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
Sunny may be my favorite MC ever! I loved and hated how he knew his limitations but also found his place in life. I hated that both of them had such terrible parents in different ways but were willing to stand up to the other's parents for each other. This club is also amazing for how they support each other and stand up for one another when necessary. It will be interesting to see if there are new rules the prospects have to follow after what this one did, or if that was a one-off and after that the rest fell in line.
Yes! I am absolutely loving the Florida Outlaws series, and Sunny has been one of my favourite brothers from the very beginning. I couldn't wait to get his story, and it did not disappoint! The chemistry between Sunny and Della is instant, and their meet-cute pulls you into the story right from the start. These two completely stole my heart. I loved how they supported one another, stood up for each other, and built a relationship based on trust, understanding, and genuine partnership. Della is such a strong, relatable heroine, and I especially enjoyed her inner thoughts and personal journey throughout the book. Sunny is so much more than the funny, charming brother everyone sees on the surface, and I loved that Della recognised every layer of who he really is. One of my favourite things about this series is getting to spend more time with the entire Outlaws family in every book. Knox absolutely melted my heart in his father-figure role, and it was wonderful to see the fun-loving Vandal back after everything he went through in his own story. This book had me hooked from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down, yet I never wanted it to end. Sunny and Della are the definition of couple goals, and their story is one I'll be thinking about for a long time. I am already counting down the days until the next Florida Outlaws book!
I was expecting Sunny’s story to be bizarre with a woman who was just as crazy, but it turns out his match is a quiet academic type. Lol
Sunny is the affable brother of the MC and is a good time at all times. Della is an assistant professor at a local college whose life goal is to save the wetlands. Sunny doesn’t expect Della to be interested in him or his life, but Della wants all of Sunny just as he is. She also makes him realize he is something amazing and deserves everything he wants out of life. He and Della couldn’t be more opposite, but they work in such a special way.
When someone goes after Della and her work, Sunny gets the club to help her out. He and his brothers will stop at nothing to keep Della safe.
This book was unexpected. Sunny is a whole lot more than I thought he was. Scarlett gives you his backstory and you’re not going to like it. I don’t believe I have read a storyline like this before. Sunny and Della realize people can be cruel no matter who they are, even if they are blood related. I understood Sunny so much more and Scarlett wrote the perfect heroine for him.
Sunny has gained a special spot in my heart. It was also nice to see a glimpse of other characters from previous books.
An incredible addition to an already outstanding series.
