Selected Shorts
Over the course of his career W. L. Heath published dozens of short stories in publications such as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier’s, Argosy, Esquire, Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine, and Cosmopolitan. Although he focused on writing novels later in his career, he continued to write short stories and always enjoyed the format.
This anthology includes twelve pieces. Five are by W. L. Heath, five are by Merrill Heath, and two are co-authored. The stories offer a broad range of subjects and styles. They vary in length from one-page vignettes to short stories that are anywhere from five to twenty-five pages in length.
