Each moment we have to spend with our children is a blessing from above. But as we cherish this chapter of life, we realize the pages of time will keep turning. Alternating between the voices of a father and his daughter, Cinderella celebrates the blessings of childhood, family, love and life. You will be enchanted by this modern fairytale that teaches us how to hand our own Cinderella her glass slippers and let her go.
Steven Curtis Chapman is a devout Christian, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, author, and a social activist regarding youth violence prevention and adoption.
He and his wife, Mary Beth Chapman, have six children, four grandchildren and live near Nashville, Tennessee.
This is a treasure of a little book! As a new father of my own little Cinderella, this really hit home. If you don't know, the Chapman family suffered a very tragic loss of one of their adopted daughters not long ago. I cannot imagine the grief of that moment and each moment since for Steven and his family. But I also know that Steven was cherishing every moment with her to the best of his ability. His strength and courage is a real testament to the power of faith and trusting in all of God's work -- through what we see as good and bad. As he said in one of his songs, "God is God, and I am not." Our time with loved ones is often very brief. I hope that when my daughter says "Daddy, I need to practice my dancing. Daddy, Please" that I will recognize it as a moment I can't let pass. Thank you for the wisdom Steven!
A ten or fifteen minute read, with pictures of his cinderella, This book is a wonderful tribute to the importance of quality time because time is fleeting. A father's heart is exposed here.
