I will start off by stating that I am a true hopeless romantic. Now with that being said, I believe each individual is different and unique in their own way. You can group us by categories (men, women, children, teens, etc) or by features (blonde, brunette, etc) , but to group types of people based off of our personality types and relationship skills is very hard to do if impossible.
I read this book because I dated a man who believed this book would help him bridge the gap and help him form a better relationship with me. However, I found that I could fit into many of the categories they suggested. Also when I did my self assessment, he and I ended up with different personality types for me. It is suppose to help you realize your weaknesses and strengths when it comes to relationships. It also helps predict future problems that could possibly cause strife in your relationship. Needless to say, I found this book quite useless and wouldn't recommend this to anyone. My poor ex boyfriend wanted so badly to be able to form a better relationship, but unfortunately no one can predict how your life is going to be. I can say "hey you worry about money and she likes to shop. I predict financial difficulties later on so you will both need to be weary when it comes to your own personal and combined finances" Should I get a crystal ball and set up shop at the fair? No.
If you want help, I suggest therapy. It is better to talk to a professional who can help you sort through your problems and work out your problems instead of you trying to do it all on your own with a silly book. Or if you can't afford therapy, good friends can also help do the trick. This book didn't help him and it didn't help me. Hopefully it did someone else because it is quite a popular book.
