'..sometimes love is not enough. You need to agree, you need to understand …'
I don't know why I keep reading books. They hurt me anyway.
The Way to Never is the much awaited sequel in The Never series and I'm telling you all, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. O.E. Boroni laid out her big guns. She made me swoon, angry, cry but most of all.. fulfilled. I was traumatized by the ending of The Beginning of Never, I honestly did not know if I should be furious or just weep. But one thing I learned from it is that life is like that. Everybody wants a happy ending, but that doesn't mean you'll get it NOW. It'll happen, but you have to go through the process.
Just like Nathan and Nora's love story. If anyone will ask me what the sequel is all about? I'd say its the process. Don't expect a happily ever after... but don't expect a tragic ending either. Because, TWTN is THE process. So you better brace yourselves, because this one is like riding a roller coaster ride. Boroni pulled out all of my possible emotions. As new characters appear, new curves and obstacles are thrown into Nora and Nathan's way. I was sad, to be completely honest. All I want in this world is for these two to finally be together and be happy. But noooooo. At least, NOT YET.
Lenora grew up A LOT. Both of them have, really. But Lenora's change was truly remarkable. I admit, I did not like some of Nora's actions in here. We were in some kind of a love-hate relationship. But I guess in some way, I understand her. She have been through a lot.
Nathan gets my sympathy vote in here. And I know that's weird because he's the one who left, right!? But with THAT reason?? How can you be mad at him? He grew up a lot in here too and he knows what he wants now. Therefore, I'M ROOTING FOR HIM.
You can't have a love story without going through the process. And that is what I learned from this series. The Way to Never really caught me off guard with all the surprising turns that happened. As usual, I am begging for more!

After finishing The Beginning of Never, I badly want the sequel. The Way to Never because it sets 13 years after Lenora and Nathan's last encounter. They are now grown-ups and young professionals. It's nice to see them settled in their own careers and they are more matured. Eventually, these two ex-lovers moved but they still have issues that needed closure.
I must say this book took an impressive transition with the characters and as well as its story. A part of me still hopes that Nathan and Lenora will be together again but it's not that easy. I love how they are so familiar with each other and it's pretty obvious they still love each other. Oh my god. I swear their moments made me swoon and my heart swells. Let's be realistic, the chances of them ending up together is 50/50 for me. Hell, I'm taking that 50% they will end up together despite of everything. Nathan Roque is more deserving than Damian. Yes, I'm still Team Nathan here. Honestly, I don't like Damian. He is insensitive and arrogant guy. Lastly, the twists here took me by surprise and I'm smiling like an idiot because I really didn't expect it. What an emotional roller coaster. Goodness gracious!
Oh my goodness.. That ending! Cliffhanger! Where is the third book?! I need the third book!! This is such a wonderful and well-written sequel. Kudos to Ms. Boroni! <3

I received an e-arc of this book from the author for an honest review.
A couple of months ago I read The Beginning of Never which is the first book of this trilogy and I loved it! However I couldn't believe it ended the way it did, so naturally I highly anticipated its sequel The Way to Never.
I went into this book blind, not having read the description at all and Oh boy.. Was I shocked/positively surprised. This book takes place 13 years after the events of the first book and I loved it! I honestly can't decide which one I liked more, because both were great for different reasons.
Like I said in my review for book 1 these characters are by no means perfect and that is exactly what I like about them. Both, Nathan ans Lenora are not flawless and make a lot of mistakes, but in the end of the day I can't help but rooting for them.
If you haven't started this trilogy and you're in the mood for contemporary romances definitely check this one out! And if you have read the first one but didn't pick up the second, then DO IT! It's so different but just as good (if not then even better) as the first one.
Also: O.E. Boroni WHY DO YOU HAVE TO END YOUR BOOKS LIKE THAT!?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! That cliffhanger! Why the heck would you do that to me?! :( I need the next book right this second!
The Way to Never is way better than the first book, although the first book contained more story. It was really nice seeing how Nathan and Lenora's lives turned out to be. From being a loner who didn't let anyone in, Lenora now has a pack of friends that seem like her family. From being indecisive about what she wanted for her career, she now has two. Nathan, on the other hand, is now a successful reporter in CNN, just like he wanted!
The Way to Never is a book that really surprised me. Normally, I hate books wherein the main character strings a guy along, when she clearly likes another, but for some unknown reason I didn't mind it that much in this book. Probably because Nathan was there first and I was already rooting for them since the first book. Also, the feels when both of them are in the same room didn't hurt either.
My favorite character from this book has to be Nathan's dad. He's a charming old man, and I really hope to see him more in the third book. I'd love to hear his stories regarding Nathan's childhood and other embarrassing tales that he can share.
This ended in a crazy cliffhanger, and I just need to get my hands on the next book or I might go crazy with anticipation. I'm already pulling my hair and screaming after reading that last sentence. I don't know how I'll handle waiting for the next book for so long! :(

Bejesus, 13 year time period?!! When I first started it, I was like holy camoley, you have got to be kidding me?! Over a decade of no contact, separation?!
And why yes, I am using a lot of “?!” because I was so taken aback. I figred there was going to be a time lapse, but not for this long a period.
The Way to Never was one read where I had a lot of doubt going into because it just had a totally different feeling going from the first book.
While both Nora and Nathan have grown up, matured, and established their own lives—their personalities have changed dramatically.
The Beginning of Never was our fire starter of this series. And now TWTN is where the flames have fanned; with the former lovers picking up the pieces, rediscovering themselves, and each other.
An all around, great novel of a love never forgotten, but, in serious need of repair and finding a way back to what it once was.

This was better than the first book for me. I thought as the characters matured in ages, their development had grown along with them. For example, Nathan. Nathan would always help out then disappear in the first book. However, in this book, he always took care of Lenora but remained present in her life to prove that he is a different man. I thought the plot was good. I was intrigued by Damian. Damian turns out to be Now I need to wait to find out what happens to Lenora and Nathan in The Truth of Never. Hopefully they will get their HEA.

This book was featured on my post about my best surprises of 2015!
Just finished this novel earlier today and it exceeded my expectations! The Way to Never is a drastic improvement from the first novel, the Beginning of Never. If you read the first and are hesitant to pick up the next one, don't be! Not only is the plot lightning quick and the setting amazing (it's set in NYC!), the characters grew up so much. I really liked Nora this time around. Though she still made some brash decisions that I don't agree with, I'm still rooting for her happily ever after with Nathan. She is so much more mature in this follow up, as is Nathan, and I really respected both of them. Not only are the main characters better than before, but so are the secondary ones! Carlie and Elisa make reappearances and are much more involved in Nora's life, which is something I really loved. There's also several new characters that I all really liked. The only new characters I didn't like was Damien but that was because he is an egotistical jerk. As you can see, he doesn't have my highest opinion. I hope I the chance to read the third and final book soon! The ending was insane, and I can't wait to see the aftermath of it in the next installment. Though j still got annoyed at some parts and slap some sense into Nora, I really enjoyed this one and I am looking forward to the next!

4 stars because the constant use of cliffhangers is making me suffer
I have to admit that The Way to Never is much better than the first book. This book is set 13 years after Nathan left and it shows a great character development for both Nathan and Lenora. It was nice seeing how their lives turned out to be after such a long time being apart.
Lenora changed a lot. She's not a loner anymore and has a lot of friends now. I didn't find her as annoying as in the first book, however, I didn't like some of her actions (especially regarding the whole love triangle situation).
Nathan seemed quite determined this time, thank God. I felt bad for himeven though he's the one who left but now he knows what he wanted therefore I'm still rooting for him.
As it always happens, every story must have asort of villain, and here Damian is the biggest asshole. Don't get me wrong, it's not JUST because I want Nathan and Lenora to be together, he really is an awful character and proves to be a real piece of work as Lenora's boyfriend.
This ended in yet another cliffhanger and it's driving me crazy so I really need the next book asap.

Thank you to the always lovely author O.E Boroni for giving me an E-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Since I finished The beginning of never I have been anticipating this book so much because that ending was wow and I needed to know what was going to happen with Nora and Nathan. O.E has managed to blow it out of the water with this installment though.
I loved the time jump in this book because it let us see how the characters developed without each other and I loved seeing the career paths that each of them took.
As with the first book I read this in one sitting and found myself not wanting to leave the story for a second and also as with the first book I've been left with my heart broken and I am dying to read the next part of this series.

I received an ARC from the publisher so thank you! And i honestly want to cry, because ugh. I'm excited that O.E. Boroni is going to be making another book so I can just get my hands on that! I feel that this series was heart wrenching and of course there was NATHAN!!! And everyone loves him, he's like ur favorite boy band. He has moved up from the The Beginning of Never as fictional boyfriend 6 and is now fictional boyfriend ONE!!! This series so far has brought me so much joy, and yes I do need to throw some potatoes.... Also when or if u read this book tell me if u think this should be a movie Bc this series would be amazing and I would help write the script! Gosh I love this series...

This book was way better than the first one.
Nora and Nathan haven't seen eachother in 13 years,and then one day Nathan comes into her life and they have to work together for some reasons. between all this,Nora has a guy in her life named Damian. so it was a sort of love triangle.
I really liked how the story progressed,and thankfully, this time Nathan didn't disappear like he used to in the first book.
Nathan and Nora had feelings for eachother ,and would've confessed it if Damian wasn't in the picture.
I am really looking forward to read the next part of the series because i really liked Nora and Nathan,and also because of that cliffhanger!

I received this book to read and review but this doesn't affect my review.
This book was pretty good. There was a lot of back and forth between Damien and Nathan that could have been left out. I was disappointed that they were so old too because I was thinking it was young adult so that threw me off. I did love her writing style and the plot but just wished there wasn't so much back in forth. It kind of turned me off. And then it started getting REALLY good at the end and then it was over. With that being said, I would recommend this story because it's a decent read. I'm just picky.

Another huge cliffhanger at the end just like the previous book in this trilogy, i.e. The Beginning of Never. I must say, the author definitely loves cliffhangers but it's really, really painful for the readers. I mean, I don't know how I'm going to survive before the conclusion or the last book comes out. This is really so difficult. Now I should just try writing the review otherwise I will keep saying this again and again.
The story takes place after 13 years since Nathan and Lenora first met. Yes, you heard me right, there was a freaking 13 years gap. So, they are all adults now with good jobs and finally due to one work project they are forced to work together and they finally meet after this very long period. They try to maintain a strictly professional relationship but it isn't possible to stay away from your first love, specially when Nathan wants Lenora back in his life and the situation become majorly complicated because she is already engaged.
The plot was... well complicated, not like the first one but was still somewhat. The actions of Lenora and Nathan was what made it complicated. Lenora wanted answers but when they met she just couldn't bring herself to ask about it. She knew she still loved Nathan but she was so stubborn to accept the fact which made me very angry. Everything could have been solved if they actually acted like adults and accepted that they are meant for each other. I definitely wanted Nathan to fight a bit more for her but he didn't want to create new problems for her seeing that she already moved on in her life. But staying away from each other wasn’t possible for them either, the chemistry and attraction between them was undeniable.
Which brings me to my next point, the characters. I definitely liked Lenora. She was that same old stubborn self. But like I said everything would have been less complicated if she would have just accepted that Nathan was the one for her not her fiancé Damain. I didn't like this Damain guy a bit, frankly my first thought about him was that I wanted to hit him with a fry pan! He was so insensitive and selfish, he was the reason the accident happened in the first place which had serious consequences for Lenora but for him work was always his first priority, plus he was a jealous freak. I hated the way he acted towards Nathan. Nathan on the other hand took great care of Lenora. He was there for her every single time, he wanted to make up for the lost time and the way he took care of her melted my heart and my anger towards him slowly faded away. I specially loved her friends, there were some old and new faces but all of them totally rocked, I loved how they constantly remained beside Lenora and were her support system.
The romance level was however low but the attraction between them was crackling. I definitely wanted her to break everything off with Damain and go for Nathan but I liked how she was loyal to Damain. That made me respect her more. Although Nathan and Lenora did share a few passionate kisses. I was worried that nothing was going to happen at first, it was over 70% and I was thinking that will there not be one kiss at all and then suddenly in the next line they were kissing. What a happy coincidence! :-D
The writing was simple and smooth. I loved how the author executed everything but that cliffhanger, it will kill me! But I did feel like this book was a bit slow, the plot was lacking action. The first book was an emotional roller coaster and I was rushing off to finish it. I didn't feel that rush in this book. I would have loved if there were a few more things happening, other than that I don't have any complain about this book.
Overall, the plot was good but a bit complicated due to the characters who I definitely loved once more in this book. I needed a bit more romance but I wasn't entirely dissapointed because those kisses they shared were really steamy. And the writing was smooth. I for one, can't wait to read the conclusion of this trilogy and get back to these awsome characters.
Recommend it?

The writing was simple and smooth. I loved how the author executed everything but that cliffhanger, it will kill me! But I did feel like this book was a bit slow, the plot was lacking action. The first book was an emotional roller coaster and I was rushing off to finish it. I didn't feel that rush in this book. I would have loved if there were a few more things happening, other than that I don't have any complain about this book.
Overall, the plot was good but a bit complicated due to the characters who I definitely loved once more in this book. I needed a bit more romance but I wasn't entirely dissapointed because those kisses they shared were really steamy. And the writing was smooth. I for one, can't wait to read the conclusion of this trilogy and get back to these awsome characters.
Recommend it?
If you loved the first book, then you should read this one because the conclusion is defining going to be intersting.

The thirteen years gap made The Way to Never is completely different from The Beginning of Never. It made the first book like a prequel that you do not really need but it is nice to know the detail of Nora dan Nathan in the past. I was kinda shocked the story jumped that far. But slowly I enjoyed the story as much as the previous one. The conflict was more intense. This is not about young love anymore; it is about whom you want to be with for the rest of your life.
It was clear that Nora and Nathan were meant to be. I really like how comfortable they around each other. After apart in years, they were no need long time to start mock and joke about anything. And the feeling was still there, stronger than ever. But everything is not that simple. No wonder Nora was so confuse about everything. But I can see that Nora is mature and wise than before. Her career was spectacular and she has a bunch good friends. I wished there are more story that just jumped like that. Gladly, the story also told from Nathan’s perspective. We could see what really happened in his head, back in boarding school. It was very interesting.

Basically, I just want to say that this book started on a time where everyone thought they all moved on but I guess, there are just some things that you can’t let go of. And honestly speaking, you’re not fully in control of who you love, how you love, and how fast you get over one thing. Or if you get over it, for that matter. Life isn’t like that. Life is more about no control. Letting go. This book revolutionized Nora’s life. It’s full of changes and It’s awesome and scary and exciting all at the same time.
And really, love is not something you can control. And you can’t use your head either without losing your mind. Because life is too short to care about what’s right or wrong. Go for what makes you happy. Life is too short and too precious to make the same mistake twice. To go through the same pain twice. There are a lot of things that you can’t control but when life throws the ball at your court, make sure that it’ll make the ride easier than it was before. Remember that nothing is difficult if you love what you’re doing.

4.5 stars. Ok. So this book takes place 13 years after the last book ended. I mean, I knew that from the blurb. I expected that. But it still didn't quite prepare me. 13 years have passed since they have seen each other. THIRTEEN!!!!! And yes I'm using shouty capitals!!! And that just made me angry all around. I was mad for these fictional characters that they had to wait this long. After everything they went through in the first book. So unfair. Prepare yourself. Ok, so anyway, even though I knew it was 13 years later I was still expecting the teenagers they were. Because that's what I remember. But they have grown and changed. It was really quite jarring. I felt like I was reading a book with 2 completely different characters. I mean, I get it, it obviously makes sense that they are different after all that time, and I'm not mad about that. It was just hard for me to make the connection at first. I have been going between 4 and 5 stars in my head and I think this is the only thing keeping me from giving a full 5 stars. And this is probably a "it's not you, it's me" situation. I just felt so disconnected at the beginning of the book. I needed to know how they got there. How the girl who hit Nathan with a lunch tray turned into who she is now. And we did get that eventually, but I needed more at the beginning. But once I started getting back into it and familiar with the characters again it took off. It was just as addicting as the first book. I could not put it down. And, even though I was a little skeptical at first, I ended up really enjoyed the direction it went in. And now I need more!!!

First of all the things I loved about this book was probably the amazing character development! Nora was amazing and Nathan's love for her was melting my heart. Nora was a bit confusing at times when the better choice was obvious to me but probably not to her. Nathan's feelings seemed confusing at first, too.
I liked the professional air to the story and it was great seeing all the characters mature. And the plot was great!
I felt almost everything the protagonists were feeling--the shock,the love,the pain,the heat. Everything was so real . Also,I realized the author's ability to describe pain was mind-blowing. I literally felt it and was paralysed from my seat,reading the description. O.E Boroni is amazing. Just simply amazing! (And I feel bad writing this too-short review. I don't know..maybe it's mainly the feels so I can't say much. I guess you just have read it to feel it yourself).

IT'S FINALLY HERE
AND IT'S AMAZING
After the ending to the first book in this series, I really had no idea to expect but I knew it was gonna be amazing. O.E did not disappoint.
Nora and Nathan have not seen each other for over a decade since they fell in love as teenagers. Now they're grown, and have made lives for themselves that honestly makes me proud. They're successful, smart, and have developed into even better versions of the teenagers we met in the first book. And even after all this time, they clearly still love each other.
And I won't spoil anything, but this book has a lot of tension that just keeps building between Nora and Nathan and I literally wanted to just shake them by the shoulders and make them be together. But it's been a long time and they have different lives, things keeping them apart, etc.
I really hope everything works out in the next book cause I adore their relationship. I mean seriously they compliment each other perfectly despite being complete opposites.

The first book ended with such an intense cliffhanger. But before that, the first book revolved around the teen Nora and Nathan and how their young romance ended. As I said, it was pretty dramatic end but really intriguing..
Now, after 10 years, the two are reunited again and their love hasn’t faded all those years. Both of them try to fight it and play it off cool and ok! with the other being there but the feelings are shimmering under the surface waiting for that one moment.. of course, you know by the time the hero decides to come back all the misfortunes start to happen, especially when said love-interest has a boyfriend. One who is serious by the way and … she is not! See where I am going with this?

Nate and Lenora's continued story is a doozy! It is fast paced in all the right ways. It has crazy drama, life altering ailments, a love triangle to end all love triangles, a crazy parental twist, and a cast of a-freaking-mazing characters. It takes a complex boy meets girl story and turns it into a real life daytime soap opera. It has a cliffhanger ending that had me screaming out "NOOOOOOOOO!", so be warned! You are not going to be able to put this book down!

I'm hating this one. When the prologue states that its 4 years since the Hero left, I was so so so angry. WTH..... who does this? At least he should have got together at the pub in Newyork. But No.... our Hero is very stubborn. He loves being Sad and Brooding. And so its almost 13 years and still the Hero doesn't make his move. But I don't understand Why? Why is he being such a stubborn a**. I hated him so much. I felt so bad for the heroine.
This one was very poor. But just for the sake of my love towards the first book, I'm giving this one 3 Stars.
I now understand why this series is not popular. Because it's playing with the readers feelings.

Have you ever read a book and realized that you would do many unrepeatable things to get the sequel? The Beginning of Never was one of those books for me. The story ended with a cliffhanger that tore my heart into a million different pieces and I really needed a sequel in order to put it back together. And The Way to Never did an amazing job of repairing my heart.
This book is set about 11 years after The Beginning of Never. At first, I was not sold on the idea of seeing the characters as adults, but by the end, I was absolutely loving it. Even though there is a vast age difference from the first book, you still know without a doubt that these are the characters that you know and love.
For of all, I got all of the closure that I ever needed. I learned so much more about the characters than I would have ever imagined from the first book. One of the most telling things about a person, and a character, is how they grow up. And you get the whole story of growing up and finding themselves.
I was kind of disappointed with the unrealistic ways that Nora and Nick both ended up extremely (like would not happen in the real world extreme) successful and relatively famous. I do not believe that the odds of them both growing up to be that amazing is highly improbable.
I also think that some of the plot points are a little overdone, but I will forgive that because the characters drive this story, not the plot. I would be happy just reading a whole book of dialogue between these characters. Honestly, they are that interesting, funny, and dynamic.
I am extremely lucky that I was able to read this sequel and finally get the closure that I craved. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves forbidden romance, swoony romance, or just romance in general.

Holy Cliffhanger! I loved Nora and Nathan in
and I couldn't wait to see how their story would end. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I am going to have to keep waiting. I really liked that this story was set 13 years in the future because I felt like I could relate to them more as adults. I also appreciate the fact that the characters don't deny their feelings for each other. I hate a book that goes on and on about how we can never be together, I'm not going to let myself admit my true feelings, blah blah blah. Other bonuses - the strong friendships between the female characters, and the fact that everything was plausible. Oftentimes I run across too many unbelievable elements to a story and I admire an author that can write a believable story that is still captivating. I can't wait to read the next one!

Ms. Boroni's storytelling would definitely keep you turning page after page. She takes the readers on a journey to both characters' lives from the first to this book. We see them conquering their own dreams and yet they couldn't help but think about the one who got away.
