She thinks she's invisible. He's been watching her sleep for the past three years. Maia Greene is quietly falling apart. She pounds espresso shots at the coffee shop where she works and wakes up screaming from her nightmares. Her new therapist, Dr. Kieran Prescott, takes her care very seriously. He's patient. He's attentive. He knows exactly what she needs. He has known for a long time. Weekly sessions turn to check-in texts. He comes to her apartment when she's drowning. Maia knows she shouldn't fall for her therapist. Kieran knows she's already his. They’re getting married in the summer.
Sleep for Me is a contemporary dark romance with a bittersweet HEA. Full list of content warnings in the front matter.
The synopsis is interesting, but there are many things I didn't like. I find it quite repetitive at times, and I just couldn't really connect with the characters. I understand Maia's situation, but the whole family aspect could have been handled differently; it felt like things were left rather unresolved. It would have been nice if a family member had helped her after everything that happened, instead of shunning her, and they shouldn't have made her feel responsible for what happened to Cloe. Aside from that incident, she had bad luck with Kieran. It makes sense for Maia to seek help and use the dedicated helpline, but I feel terrible for her because he was the one on the other end of the line; he became obsessed with her and started sneaking into her house while she slept. This went on for about three years until Maia finally met him face-to-face in therapy, but I didn't get the impression he was actually helping her; rather, he wanted to ensure she stayed by his side, and the situation she was in suited his needs. Later, when Maia moved in with Kieran, there were moments that felt incredibly uncomfortable—so much so that I considered giving up on the book. One quote from the book that I completely agree with is: “Yes.” Ivy’s lips twisted. “I wouldn’t have helped you. You’re a predator, Kieran Prescott. I don’t work with predators. That girl needs mental health care, not you.”

As a debut title for this author, it slapped. It was dark, it was unhinged, and when I saw the CWs, I was all in. Daddy Kieran is the hot therapist any damaged woman would want—no, need. His caretaking is next level. Maia is one damaged soul, and her pain is so well written throughout. I enjoyed her issues with sleep hygiene. As someone whose gets very little sleep, I felt very seen with this title.
ARC REVIEW — I received an advance reader copy of Sleep for Me by Celeste Silver in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
I told myself I was only going to read a few pages before bed… and now here I am writing the review for the book I somehow already finished. 😂 That should tell you everything you need to know about how addictive Sleep for Me was.
This book was dark, uncomfortable, obsessive, emotional, and completely impossible for me to put down.
From the beginning, there is this constant sense that something isn’t quite right—and I absolutely loved it. Maia is struggling just to hold herself together, and then there’s Kieran: patient, attentive, protective…and so incredibly morally questionable. The more their relationship developed, the more I found myself thinking, I know I shouldn’t be rooting for this…so why am I?!
Kieran is exactly the kind of character dark-romance readers love to obsess over. The boundaries? Nonexistent. 🚩 The obsession? Unhinged. The possessiveness? Absolutely there. And somehow, beneath all of that darkness, there are moments of tenderness that make the relationship even more complicated and addictive.
What really worked for me was the atmosphere. This story has a quiet, intimate darkness to it. It isn’t just about shock value—the vulnerability, nightmares, loneliness, dependency, desire, and obsession all come together in a way that completely pulls you in.
Maia was such an interesting heroine because you can feel how desperately she wants safety, connection, and someone who truly sees her.
And Kieran definitely sees her.
Maybe a little too well. 👀
If you like your romance sweet and healthy with lots of communication and appropriate boundaries…Kieran Prescott would like you to kindly leave the room. 😂
But if you love obsessive men, morally gray characters, forbidden relationships, questionable ethics, psychological darkness, possessiveness, and romances that make you stare at the page thinking “this is so wrong” while immediately turning to the next chapter…
Read. This. Book.
Celeste Silver gave me exactly what I want from a dark romance: a relationship I would absolutely question in real life and completely devour in fiction.
Dark. Intimate. Unhinged. Addictive.
And apparently dangerous to start when you tell yourself you’re “only reading a few pages.”
Thank you to Celeste Silver for providing me with an ARC of Sleep for Me. All opinions are completely my own.
⭐ 5/5 stars 🖤 Morally gray romance: YES 🚩 Red flags: Collect them all 🔥 Obsession level: Completely unhinged 😳 Times I questioned my own moral compass: We don’t need to talk about it 📖 Could I put it down? Clearly not.

I am reviewing an advanced copy of the book, all thoughts and opinions are my own and they are all being typed with my clumsy, human fingers.
This book is, even in its premise, deeply unsettling—and for me that was a point in its favor. Kieran and Maia are both very messed up characters, and just because their damage happens to fit together doesn't mean it fits together in a way anybody could possibly argue is healthy in the real world... but in fiction, it very much works for them. If you're considering reading, you should *absolutely* look at the content warnings before starting this book because there's plenty in there that is disturbing, but the progression makes sense for these specific characters in this specific circumstance. That internal logic is why I'm rating it so highly.
I was drawn to this book because I like the kind of horror that leaves you vaguely unsettled whenever you think back to it, and this has those vibes. I love that I've been left with a lingering sense of unease, like if I personally knew these people it would be difficult to decide whether their relationship was safe and healthy for both parties and apparently I enjoy thinking about those kinds of morally complicated situations.
I don’t know how I’ll get over this book, it reads so quickly and almost sweetly, but you know how disturbing things actually are. From a formatting prospective, 10/10 I loved the short brief chapters that kept the pace super fast and engaging. I wish this book was 800+ pages, I really could not let go of Kieran and Maia.
Maia, such a sweet girl. I think I have found a new favorite heroine, I found her story just so heat-breaking,like a little bird you want to heal. How she felt with her depression and grief just was such a compelling story for me. I think my favorite part of her was how much she really needed Kieran.
Now Kieran on the other hand, HOTTIE!!!! He knew what he wanted, how he was going to do it and let absolutely nothing come between him and his love. Again, his devotion to Maia is so unbreakable that it seems pure, but it really is pretty dangerous and dark.
One small highlight that I have is I need to thank the author for providing such a real, detailed expirence of IUD insertion. So incredibly validating to see in a book.
I can’t wait to see what is next for Celeste Silver.

If you’re an elder daughter or emotionally neglected daughter who has depression and wants to be taken care of in a relationship? Look no further than Dr Keiran Prescott therapist He’s hot, he’s sweet, he’s sexy, he cares for you, maybe a bit too much, but he really does want the best for you (within reason)
This book was unsettling in the dark romance of a man who narrows a woman’s world to be smaller. But it is a romance at the end of the day and a HEA one at that too.
The smutty scenes were 🔥 My kinky ass would have loved more kinkiness and it was already pretty kinky I couldn’t put this book down The pacing of the story is great It is entertaining and enjoyable to read Highly recommend I’m definitely going to read it again this month.

Okay, I loved it. I feel that the portrayals of mental illness and suggestibility are really interesting - they're elevated (hopefully) from what lots of people will witness or experience, but still grounded enough that our FMC's development didn't feel rushed. I love an MMC that knows what he's about and goes after what he wants. I can imagine that some people would dislike the ending, but I like that it leaves you thinking.
{I read the book as an ARC and my opinions in this review are genuine}

This book is spicy and sad at the same time. I feel sooo bad for Maia. Younger sister, ignored. Felt like she wasn’t enough; to where it wore her down she barely could function without someone doing it for her. Dr. Prescott cared and was sweet but maybe his stalker tendencies and caring for Maia is a bit much! He kind of made me think he should have lost his license haha. He needs to be evaluated too.
Five stars because it’s a really good book! The storyline and plot was amazing. The book may have had a HEA for the MCs but it was sad to me. Just know it has these tropes: stalker, age gap, and something like sleeping beauty fetish….. read your triggers beforehand.

1st off, this book is addicting! 2nd, HELLO KIERAN!!!! I could not stop reading! I was drawn in by the forbidden and complicated relationship and stayed for Kieran who is Morally Grey, Obsessed, Unhinged, possessive but also tender at times. When I say I could not get enough of this book, I mean it! Everything and more of what I want in a Dark Romance!
