Introducing DISCIPLINE, book one in the hot and sexy new romance series, The Billionaire’s Rules, by New York Times bestselling author Kelly Favor...
Twenty-one-year-old Ivy Spellman has always played by the rules – get good grades, stay out of trouble, and avoid bad boys at all costs.
But when she takes a temp assignment at a multi-billion dollar drug company, she can’t help but become intrigued with the sexy and ultra-demanding CEO, Cullen Sharpe.
Cullen Sharpe is used to getting what he wants, and his dark and damaged desires are locked on Ivy. Her good girl innocent routine is enough to drive him over the edge, and after Ivy makes a mistake at work, he senses an opening to teach the shy temp the pleasures and seductions of being bad...
…as well as the punishment that goes along with it.
Soon the two of them are locked in a game of mystery, seduction, and raging desire that knows no bounds. But as Ivy is pushed beyond her sexual limits, she begins to crave more from the dark billionaire.
However, Cullen guards his secrets and his heart for reasons that run deep. And if those reasons were to ever be revealed, it just might destroy them both…

Wasn't sure how to rate this. It was over pretty quickly. I am, however, interested enough to read the next book. Ummmm... Does Cullen have OCD? Is he a germaphobe? I understood by the end (though I guessed from the start) that Ivy was a virgin, but that doesn't mean she has to act like a nitwit. I hope she develops a damn spine in this series.
The writing feels very wooden and flat to me, still I was tempted to keep reading to at least get to the first moment between our couple. I wanted to roll my eyes when I realized this is setting itself up to be a Dom/Sub story with very little initial chemistry between the couple to justify what just happened at the end of that. The only thing worse was the author making the h a virgin. Give. Me. A. Break.
This isn't even a novella, it's just a few chapters. There is something seriously wrong with these authors that don't know how to release proper novels anymore. Why are they chopping everything up? It's really not needed. I'm going to read the next one out of morbid curiosity but I don't hold out any high hopes for it.
Everyone, if you want authors to stop writing 'serials that only have two or three chapters at a time' STOP buying them!!!
Book one in this series CEO Cullen Sharpe finds himself drawn to Temp Ivy Spellman. There are twist and turns in this book. Cullen shows interest by wanting Ivy to bring him his morning coffee. He wants to teacher her Discipline after she spills coffee on him. Ivy isn’t quite sure what she is getting into with this task but she can’t help her attraction to the hot CEO. Love this short read so far.
Only read if you have the 16 book set, these are more like fat chapters. Not worth waiting for them individually. This author is famous for this kind of writing and have vowed to not read another one of her books unless I know they are all available as a set. You have been warned.
A CAPTIVATING BEGINNING !!! Discipline is the first book in Kelly Favor's exciting new serial, The Billionaire's Rules. This is my very first time reading Favor's work but I must say, I am impressed with what I've read so far. This is a serial folks so there will be multiple installments and dare I say it, cliffhangers. Yikes! Each installment is relatively short which makes them perfect for a quick break or lunchtime read. Although it's difficult to get a full sense of the plot of this story from only a few pages, I believe I may have a general idea of the direction the author intends to lead us. The journey begins with Ivy Spellman, a recent college graduate who has been hired as a data entry temp by Biomatrix Pharma, one of the largest and most prestigious drug companies in Boston. Out of her group, she has been singled out by the handsome CEO of the company, Cullen Sharpe who has for no apparent reason chosen her to bring him his coffee. Ivy had always been the shy, quiet, mousy student who always sat in front, kept her head down, took meticulous notes and got good grades. She has just recently finished school and has no real job experience other than working as a part time grocery clerk so this is her first real job. She has no idea why Mr. Sharpe has taken an unusual interest in her but she only hopes that it doesn't lead to her termination. It certainly couldn't be because of her good looks because she would never be beautiful enough to attract the attention of someone like handsome, wealthy Cullen Sharpe. Even her manager, Emma Marks, seems to immediately dislike her. What the heck? After Ivy spills a cup of scalding hot coffee in Mr Sharpe's lap, she is called to his office to discuss her failure of his assigned task and to Ivy's surprise, he offers her tutelage in the form of.......discipline. What? Mr Sharpe presents Ivy with a choice but what will she decide??? Oh my! Super sexy boss-check! Beautiful, shy virgin-check! Office politics, drama, domination and heated attraction-you bet! The story is smart, exciting, provocative, arousing and well written. The characters are captivating, engaging and sexy. The verdict is still out but so far so good. We'll see what happens in the next installment. Seriously sexy and definitely entertaining!
So, I kind of had a feeling what this was about without reading the write up. I figured it would remind me of 50 Shades (which I didn't get through) Although, Ivy is a bit less annoying. Not so klutzy, well except for that one incident. I'm not huge on this whole naive little girl thing and it seems as though we always get someone who's never even looked at a guy before. I have a huge sigh for that.
Anyway, Ivy is singled out by the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, Cullen Sharpe. He thinks she's special and proceeds to show her discipline for spilling coffee on him. Ivy gets scared and bolts.
This was short and to the point. If I wasn't borrowing them on KU, I definitely wouldn't have continued. Still, the writing is good and I always want to know what happens next.
There's 16 of these well I guess 15 now that I read the first one. But SERIOUSLY? they are such short reads like wtf? I'm glad I have kindle unlimited because there's no way I'm spending my money on a 15 minute read. Now for the only uplift... the male character is strong and well thought out, he's mysterious and dark and sexy and dominating. Just YASSS!!! but the female character? goodness she has no personality, she boring and basic, and she had no wow factor. I managed to read 6 of these books but that's as far as I'm going, not worth my time. Not worth anyone's time really.. I can easily find ONE book with the same themes and enjoy the read for a while.
I'm a HUGE fan of Kelly Favor's 'For His Pleasure' series so I was excited to read this series. However, I was disappointed. I was disappointed in how controlling, demanding, and totally inappropriate behaviour of Cullen from the very beginning. While many dominating characters have been portrayed in various books nowadays, his behaviour came without consent from Ivy. Now, hold your horses because yes, there was a scene where Ivy did say yes and agree but she clearly didn't know what terms she was agreeing to and every time she asked, Cullen didn't answer agreeably. No thanks to that.
I am curious enough about the characters that I want to see where this story is going to go but I just finished reading an amazing Erotica book and I feel bad for whatever book I start after such a good story.. I feel like this could be good and hopefully different enough from Kelly's other books to make it stand alone in my mind. Decent start thus far.

I was so confused how to rate this book or what review to write. This is my first book of this author and It's so different from what I usually read . It looked interesting though I don't like it when the word fear is hovering over a hero; I like my characters to be equal. I'm giving this book 3 stars and I'm definitely going to finish the whole series and see what Cullen and Ivy hide :)
I don't know what to make of this series... Are they even books? barely even there, really short. They aren't well written and sound like a C grade version of 50 shades. Even as erotica, they fall short. A friend recommended these to me and I'm seriously questioning her sanity. Only redeeming quality was that they are cheap.
Cullen Sharpe, the CEO finds Ivy Spellman in a pool of temp workers for his company. She is shy and innocent and irresistible to Cullen. He wants to teacher her Discipline after she spills coffee on him so he calls her to his office for a private meeting. The meeting didn't go as expected...
The Series Is starting to be good I really like it a girl apply for a job and her pick her out from the rest .can't wait to see how this turns out I recommend it real good Margie Moran
Well this was a quick read. Wasn't bad. It flew by so fast. I don't have any complaints about it. I will keep reading this series to see for sure if I really like it.
