Willet’s Rest holds many secrets, but perhaps none as strange as what Dr. Barty Kellis brings with him.

When portals to the world of Felafontia open and hamsters become men, receptionist Cambria Hawkins is forced to confront the impossible, even as she tries to stop apologizing for things that were never her fault. Nurse Baylee-Ann Cavins takes her fall through the portal the same way she takes everything with a tired shrug. And financial director Erin Sutton is already balancing marriage, motherhood, and life as a trans woman in a small town before magic begins tearing holes in the world she thought she knew. Together, they find themselves bound by far more than their jobs, and tasked with saving a world they were never meant to touch.

About the author

Bunny Notaro

5 books
Bunny (they/them) is a queer author living in the muggy gut of South Carolina. A longtime lover of horror and chronically online gremlin, they are drawn to the hidden corners of the human experience. They know the importance of seeing your truth reflected in someone else’s story, and they aim to be that mirror for others.

When they aren’t writing, Bunny can usually be found online, overthinking a sentence, chasing a new obsession, or being judged by their two mischievous rabbits, Maximillian and Dusty, who remain deeply involved in the creative process despite contributing very little.

Amazing beautiful talented amazing spectacular

I'm not joking when I say I've never read anything quite like this before, in the best way possible ofc! It's spooky, it's intriguing, it's got incredible characters you'll love so dearly that you're holding your breath by the end, rooting for them to get the best ending, AND it's got sapphic romance. The world and characters really come alive through the deliciously crafted, yet down to earth prose that had me laughing and crying and creeped out. Do yourself a favour and read this book IMMEDIATELY
