Great book.

Australian Author.
If you guys get a chance, I recommend to read this book. Nice little cliff hanger at the end and good touches of Aussie. I love the sounds that are written out in this book .

A family living in an Aussie suburb with parents and 3 kids.

On the first day of school, Micheal the middle child makes a friend in Heather abd tries to make her feel welcome on her first day.

Chelsea loves school the youngest daughter and Danielle the oldest is the sibling who is bot of a second mum.

Heather has abusive family dynamics and ends up finding comfort in the Micheals welcoming family.

She stays for a while until her dad looks for her.

Then her dad can't look after her anymore so she calls her Grandma, who comes to visit and makes out she will let Heather stay but she doesn't. Her grandmother Cathy is rich as well.

So the family move on without Heather.

One day when Micheal babysits Chelsea, by random accounts Chelsea goes missing and Micheal is hurt.

But why?

As you'd expect, thier parents Richard and Michelle look for answers but in doing so, could this bring grave consequences???

Check it out guys.
Lots of navigating relationships and friendships. Its good reading something different and fresh.

This is book 1 in the Timeline Series that must be read in order and is available now for purchase! This book starts off in a bar with Michael being our main character. We get a glimpse into what he is like as an adult that sets us up before being taken back in his childhood to when he is 9/10 years old. We follow him at this age for the rest of the book. As a kid he is pushed into lots of situations that force him to grow up quickly and start pushing him into a life in organized crime. We get to meet a young girl his age who becomes his girlfriend, Heather. Heather has an abusive and shady father who Michael ends up having a physical altercation with to save Heather. It’s his first introduction into the shady parts of the world. Heather later gets ripped out her life by her grandmother, Cathy, who seems to have her secrets as well. We later find out more when his family is put in a terrifying situation and have to rely on Cathy for help. This entire books sets up the groundwork for how Michael turns out the way he does in the first few pages of the book. Make sure to check your trigger warnings as this book touches on some difficult topics.

The author kindly sent me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an interesting read that explored a difficult and important subject in a thoughtful way. I appreciated how the author handled such a serious topic while keeping it central to the story.

One of the things I enjoyed most was the sense of mystery running throughout the book. There were plenty of questions surrounding the characters and their backgrounds, which kept me curious and wanting to find out more. I particularly enjoyed the elements surrounding Heather and her grandmother, Cathy, and found myself wanting to uncover more about her past and how everything connected.

I also enjoyed the overall concept of the story and the way the author brought together different elements to create a narrative with plenty to think about. There was a good balance between the storyline and the underlying message, and I appreciated the thought and research that had clearly gone into exploring the subject matter.

For me, the main area that could have benefited from more depth was the character development. I particularly wanted to know more about Cathy and her mysterious background, as I felt there was so much potential there to explore. I also felt some of the dialogue could have been more distinctive to give each character a stronger individual voice.

That said, I enjoyed seeing how the story unfolded and appreciated the underlying message and important themes being addressed. I can see a lot of potential in the characters and storyline.

Overall, an intriguing read with an interesting premise, plenty of mystery, and an important message at its heart.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy 🩷

Timeline: The Tail Of The Snake was such a heavy and mind bending ride. This book tackles so many difficult themes but does it in such a thoughtful and raw way, while the crime and mystery kept me on edge the whole time. Dark, emotional and full of tension, I was completely locked in from the first page.

The twists, the emotional depth and the way it handles heavy topics made this so impactful and hard to put down. Totally original and unforgettable.

Tropes:

🕵️ Crime / Mystery & Suspense
🖤 Heavy Topics Handled With Care
✨ Dark & Atmospheric

If you love dark crime mysteries that are emotional and stay with you long after you finish, you need to pick up Timeline: The Tail Of The Snake. 📖
