Edge of Night #1

Just One Bite

Rate this book
Jace Blackwell is a vampire, from a long line of vampires, but unlike any vampire you've ever met. Trystan Cole didn't know vampires existed, much less that his best friend for as long as he can remember is a vampire. Falling in love is the least of their worries.

So much drama and the puppy love of Jace and Trystan is the cute part of the book. I loved the vampire world created by the author. Involving the both Jace and Trystan point of views in the story given clear view of the characters, their feelings and their involvement in the story.

Having lost my mother recently, I have cried along with Trystan when he had thought he lost his mother. That was very heart wrenching part of the story. But I was happy when I had learned that it was just framed by Jace's parents for a good cause. I loved the base story of the vampires, too, explained in the story.

Over all a good start and definitely worth a read. I am eager to know what happens next...

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, I enjoyed the story but hate cliff hangers and when the characters have been left in the dark for stupid reasons. Jace and Trystan are always together and have been best friends forever but Trystan doesn’t know how close they really are.

Even with a dormant mark I have trouble understanding Jace having girlfriends even if we don’t see it in this book or how everyone is just okay with Trystan being kidnapped and what may happen. I felt that there was some info left out and would hope it would be expanded on in a future book as it’s set up for at least a sequel. There were some editing issues too, like Trystan and Tristan being used constantly in the book mainly just a few grammar errors that stood out to me. If another book ever comes out I will definitely read it to see where the story goes.
