CALISTA Remember when I said I was swearing off men forever? Well... about that. Turns out I'm actually marrying Ronan Akov— The Bratva boss who romanced me for eight dates while he stole my company behind my back.
That's because my smart scale went off again. At midnight. Triggered by a stranger who broke into my house while my children slept down the hall.
See, when you bring New York's most dangerous man to his knees, people notice. His enemies want the tool I built—and the woman who runs it. The FBI wants me to help them bury him. And the only shield big enough to cover two kids and their mother… is the last name of the man who broke my heart.
My terms: fake vows, separate bedrooms, zero forgiveness. He agrees to everything. Then he ruins me anyway— One "You're beautiful" text at a time.
I have every receipt I need to hate my husband. If only my heart would stop deleting the evidence.
RONAN I lied to the only woman I've ever loved. She caught me. Now, I'll do anything to get her back.
But my world was watching. And they realized what she is: My newest weakness.
Marrying her keeps her safe. It won't make her love me again.
That's fine. I'll sleep in the guest room. I'll wear her hate like a wedding band. Hate, I can work with. It means she still feels something.
To the men hunting my family: Pray I find you before she does.
To my wife: Those vows weren't fake, kotyonok. I meant every word.
CRUEL KISS is Book 2 of the Akov Bratva duet and the conclusion of Ronan and Calista's story. Read CRUEL LIES first.
TROPES: Marriage of convenience… with the man she swore never to see again Fake vows, real feelings Enemies to lovers, round two Forced proximity: bodyguard husband moves in Grovel era hero — he earns every inch back He falls first, he falls hardest Touch her and you-know-what-happens Protective but not controlling hero (he learns the difference the hard way) Morally grey alpha hero Curvy FMC / body worship Strong Female Lead who saves herself with spreadsheets Scary Bratva boss, secretly soft for her kids
If the first book pulled me in, this one completely stole my heart.
After everything that happened at the end of book one, I went into this expecting nonstop action, heartbreak, and chaos—and somehow Nicole Fox delivered all of that while also giving us one of the most heartfelt mafia romances I've read in a long time.
Calista's entire world has been turned upside down. She's carrying the weight of betrayal, trying to protect her children, and attempting to figure out where her heart truly belongs after everything that's happened. Meanwhile, Roman has one mission above all else: protect the family he's already claimed as his own and prove that the man standing before her now is worthy of her trust, her forgiveness, and ultimately, her love.
And honestly? He absolutely earned it.
One of my biggest fears going into the second half of a duet is unnecessary drama or miscommunication just to stretch the story. Thankfully, this book avoided all of that. It picked up seamlessly from where the first one ended, and every twist, betrayal, gunfight, and emotional moment felt completely earned. The stakes were so much higher this time around. The attacks against the Bratva intensified, the FBI closed in, enemies lurked around every corner, and I genuinely never felt like anyone was safe.
Yet somehow, through all the violence and danger, the strongest part of this story remained the relationship.
Watching Roman and Cali transform into true partners was everything I wanted. They weren't just lovers anymore—they became a team. They fought together, protected each other, and slowly built something that felt so much deeper than romance. It became about trust, healing, forgiveness, and creating a family in the middle of absolute chaos.
Cali never lost the spark that made me fall in love with her in the first book. She was still fierce, sarcastic, stubborn, and willing to fight for the people she loved. She never became a damsel waiting to be rescued, and I absolutely loved that.
But Roman... Roman completely owned this book.
Who would've thought a ruthless Pakhan would become one of the most attentive, protective, and emotionally vulnerable heroes I've ever read? Underneath the terrifying mafia boss was a man who simply wanted to love and protect his family. No matter how dark his world became, he never allowed that darkness to consume Cali or her children. Watching him naturally step into the role of protector, partner, and father absolutely melted my heart.
And don't even get me started on *that* letter.
When Roman wrote his "if I should die" letter to Cali and the kids, I completely lost it. I was crying before I even reached the end of the page. It was one of the most beautiful, vulnerable moments in the entire duet and perfectly captured just how much he'd grown as both a man and a leader. His internal struggle over the life he'd built, questioning the cost of power and violence, gave his character so much depth beyond being the typical possessive mafia boss.
> *"I love you. That's the only receipt that's ever mattered."*
Tell me why a single sentence managed to destroy me.
And then...
> *"You're the most beautiful thing I have ever been in a room with."*
Roman, please. My heart can only take so much.
The balance in this book was honestly perfection. We got swoony romance, explosive mafia action, emotional family moments, genuine humour, plenty of spice, shocking twists, and enough danger to keep me glued to every page. I especially loved the contrast between the warmth and safety of Roman and Cali's home life versus the brutal world waiting for them outside those walls. It made every quiet family moment feel even more precious.
This wasn't just a fake marriage romance anymore. It became a beautiful second-chance love story where two broken people learned to trust again, healed each other's wounds, and built the family neither of them realised they desperately needed.
As someone constantly searching for the perfect mafia romance, I have a pretty specific checklist: unforgettable chemistry, high-stakes mafia politics, dangerous enemies, emotional depth, believable character growth, protective heroes, satisfying revenge, and an ending that leaves your heart completely full.
This duet checked every single box.
My only complaint?
I desperately needed another epilogue.
I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Roman, Cali, and the kids. I would've happily read another hundred pages of them simply living their lives, watching the children grow up, and seeing Roman continue to thrive as the fiercely protective husband and father he'd become.
Nicole Fox absolutely nailed this duet. It had everything I could possibly want in a mafia romance—action, suspense, humour, spice, emotional depth, unforgettable character growth, and a love story that felt earned every step of the way.
Roman and Cali weren't just one of my favourite mafia couples.
They became one of my favourite fictional families
I love all things mafia romance. I can’t get enough and Nicole Fox knows how to hold me hostage while diving into this world.
This is book 2 in the Akov Bratva series by Nicole Fox and it was the ending to end all endings. For those who don’t know a Bratva is the Russian Mob, so please be aware that there will be triggers that may get to you. Please read the trigger warnings before jumping in.
Now on to the good stuff. This book starts where book 1 left off, with a stranger breaking into Cali’s house and a dropped call. I was on the edge of my seat when k finished book 1 and book two took me down a road I didn’t see coming.
Roman is the Pakhan of the Akov Bratva, stoic, strong, quiet, controlled and focused completely on winning back Cali and getting his priorities straight. All he wants is morning pancakes, saying good night to caterpillars, discussing the depths of the ocean floor and showing Cali he wants her and this family more than anything else.
Cali is faced with a hard choice after a stranger breaks into her house and tries to abduct her and her children. But the new Cali is not going to allow that to happen. When she calls Ronan for help only to have the call drop she has to fight off this attacker by herself until she doesn’t. Now she has to figure out these complicated feelings for the man she knows Ronan is and the one she was lead to believe he is.
These two have such a fantastic relationship. I loved the way they speak to each other and in this book it was a lot better with the communication between them. Their smarts balance each other out in ways I couldn’t have predicted.
The machine she built to catch fraud has found another use in a more complicated application. One that doesn’t account for feelings, remorse, regret, or love. When she chooses Ronan over her program I wanted to cry. I felt for him in that moment waiting on bated breath that she wasn’t going to choose to believe him.
This was a great finish to the Ronan and Cali story. I’m hoping next will be Gia and Navi’s story because I feel some things happening over there and that’s going to be one exciting pairing.

After everything that happened in the first book, Cali finds herself with a target on her back while trying to navigate betrayal and heartbreak and everything that's been turned upside down in her life. Roman on the other hand has one goal: protect the family he's come to love while proving that he's worthy of Cali's trust again. But with danger surrounding them on every side, maybe loving each other might be the easiest part.
Oh my God, this was such a good second half to the duet. I loved how naturally it picked up from where the first book ended, nothing felt dragged out just for the sake of creating drama. That said, things got absolutely CRAZY in this one, and I really felt like this was where Cali and Roman's relationship was put to the ultimate test.
“I love you. That’s the only receipt that’s ever mattered.”
What I loved most was watching them become an even stronger team. Cali never lost that fire that made me love her in the first book. She was still witty, determined, and ready to fight for the people she loved. And Roman somehow became even more attentive and protective and mind you, those aren't usually the first words I'd use to describe a Pakhan, but they fit him perfectly. No matter how dark things became, he never let that darkness reach Cali or the kids. Watching him step so naturally into that role and love them so fiercely honestly melted my heart. Cali and Roman were a power duo, period.
“You’re the most beautiful thing I have ever been in a room with.”
By the end, it wasn't just about finding love anymore but rather finding yourself and becoming a real family unit. My only complaint? I needed one more epilogue cause I definitely wasn't ready to leave Roman, Cali, and the kids behind. I would've happily read another hundred pages of family life, especially seeing the kids a little older. Nicole Fox absolutely nailed this duet, it really had everything that I could have asked for. Romance, humour, family, and so much heart, Roman and Cali were such a fun couple to read. Loved every moment!
Cruel Kiss picks up directly from where Cruel Lies ended, and the stakes are so much higher this time around. Calista’s world has been turned upside down, devastated by the betrayal of Ronan and trying to protect her children. Ronan’s entire focus is protecting the family he has already claimed as his own and trying to prove to Calista that he is worth her trust and even her forgiveness. The escalation of danger, the pressure from the FBI meant that Ronan is staying in the house with Calista and the kids, the kids are thrilled with having him back, with him cooking his famous pancakes and reading bedtime stories and Calista looking at him in her kitchen, with her children, him sitting at the table with his glasses on reading the paper she tells him she hates him but she knows in her heart that she still loves him. Ronan and Calista are facing increasing pressure with the FBI, a search for a mole within his own organisation who is feeding information to his enemy, and keeping Calista safe after the kidnap attempt, when Ronan asked Calista to marry him so she couldn’t testify against him in any case the FBI bought against him, she reluctantly agreed. When Ronan wrote his "If I should die" letter to Calista I was in tears as it was a beautiful, vulnerable moment, it really showed how much Ronan had grown emotionally as a man. This was an immersive and entertaining read that was filled with twists, humour, explosive mafia action, spice, suspense, danger and love.

If you haven't read Cruel Lies yet, stop here and read that one first. This is a true duet, and you really need the first book before diving into this one.
We pick up right where the first book ends. Cali is in the kitchen when she gets an alert on her phone—someone is in her house who definitely shouldn't be there. Ronan is desperately trying to reach her before it's too late, only to discover the guards he assigned to protect her are gone.
That's about as much as I can say without giving away spoilers.
I loved this story because it takes such a fresh approach to mafia romance. Cali isn't a heroine waiting to be rescued. Her intelligence, data analysis skills, and the software she's developed become central to unraveling the conspiracy, and she ends up saving Ronan just as much as he saves her.
Ronan's redemption felt completely earned. Watching him grow from a controlling, emotionally guarded man into a partner who truly respected Cali's choices and trusted her as an equal was one of my favorite parts of the duet.
The ending brought everything together beautifully. The recurring symbols—the mirror, the napkin, the letter, and even Doctor Fuzz the caterpillar—all came full circle in a meaningful way, making the conclusion both satisfying and heartfelt.
The balance of mafia intrigue, mystery, family dynamics, and romance was spot on. The twists kept me turning the pages, but it was the emotional journey of Ronan, Cali, and their little family that made this duet so memorable.
I read the first book and immediately dove into the second book. There were some discrepancies that I noticed in the first book and I let it go. For example, I thought his desk was made of one slab of walnut and then in the very next chapter it was marble. I shrugged it off and thought maybe I miss remembered. It happened a few times, but assumed it was me. This book has more instances right out of the gate that took me out of the story. For example, it’s a pretty pivotal moment in the first book when the MMC says, he doesn’t know how to cook because no one was around to teach him. But then the second book he’s making spaghetti because “everything he makes wonderful” and his mom was around until he was 16. Also, the first intimacy scene is copy and pasted from the last one in the first book. Like exactly the same with the exception of a few words changed. I don’t know, things really fell apart for me in this book. It stopped feeling like a human point of view sometimes because the phrasing was so repetitious. And some of these repetitious phrases felt like they were in the book to add weight to concepts that hadn’t really earned it. The solve for the problem was something that could’ve been done in chapter 1. It was a very easy to assume solution that felt like a plot hole until they finally resolved the issue.
Cruel Kiss starts where the cliffhanger left us in Book One, Cruel Lies. Calista (Cali) has an intruder in the house, and it's not Ronan. Once again, her scales alert her that someone is in her home who shouldn't be. Will Ronan make it in time to save Cali and her children from the threat in her home? What happened to the protection that Ronan had watching out for her? Nicole keeps you turning the pages with all the action, mystery, and intrigue about who is trying to bring Ronan down. Cali is determined not to let Ronan back in after lying to her by omission. But all his actions caring for and protecting her children might have her relenting a bit. I don't like to tell you too much more and spoil the story for you. You want to have a special man like Ronan in your life after he makes you melt with his actions after reading this book. I received an ARC from Booksprout for my voluntary, honest review for NN Book blog. If you love a dark, steamy Bratva Mafia romance full of action and mystery, then you will love this book. We see a couple of other family members at the end of this book get together, and I hope we get their stories in a book. This is not a stand-alone read, and you will have to read Book One, Cruel Lies, first before reading this book.
So often, the second book in a duet is a disappointment, but this book was as bold and exciting as the first. This duet is excellent because the author has a fresh take on a tried-and-true genre: Bratva Romance. The heroine, Cali, is a firecracker. She spent years making her personality small in order to appease her first husband. She is done with that. She’s not the typical Bratva heroine. She’s self-possessed and has agency. I also like that she’s a STEMinist heroine.Ronan, the hero, was far more high-handed in the previous book, but unlike the typical Bratva romance Pakhan, here he admits to his faults and tries to make up for them. There are transformation metaphors, butterfly motifs, and symbolism involving mirrors. These are apt and enrich the story. Cat’s Stats Heat- open door Bechdel test- passed Safety? Y Triggers- discussion of domestic violence, violence, firearms, leaking red stuff. Tropes- marriage of convenience/fake marriage, adorable moppets, butterflies are free, Secret Agent.

I love mafia romance novels. The perfect one has a great romance between the main characters, a good backstory about the mafia family/bratva/criminal family with some violence or get back, and a satisfying ending. I’m constantly on the search for the perfect one. This one is perfect.
In part 2 Ronan and Calista’s relationship continues. The attack on Ronan’s Bratva escalates. The FBI investigation gets more intense. Through all of this both Ronan and Calista grow as humans. Especially Ronan who has a crisis of conscience over his business and how it’s running. When he wrote his if I should die letter to Calista and her kids, I cried for the entire page.
The contrast of Ronan & Calista’s home lives vs the challenges they face outside their home was so well done. The second book had love, spicy sex, mafia business and violence all written with Ronan and Calista’s working as a team.
I enjoyed this book so much. It was different from the Bratva books Nicole Fox has previously written. Borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited.
A captivating second book in series, Ronan and Cali are a simply wonderful read This is a simply wonderful read and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters that have been written so beautifully, and the plot was simply wonderful and I am sure that you will find the fake marriage as thrilling a read as I did. This was a true second chance story in every sense of the word and I know that Calista is still trying to convince herself that her feelings for Ronan are not true, that they will simply fade over time even though in her heart she knows that she is simply lying to herself. Then as Ronan continues to try and beat down her defences and see that how he feel is real he also has to make sure that any of his enemies know that lo lay a single finger on her would most definitely bring about an instant retribution there would be no coming back from…ever! I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Cali is trying to figure out who is in her house. All because of the scale in the bathroom that went off again. She is able to let Ronan know there is someone is in the house. He comes in breaking the front door and taking the man down before he kills Cali. She hasn't forgiven Ronan for what he did before but does thank him for protecting her and her kids.
Ronan will do anything for her. Even when she doesn't want him there. The FBI is getting closer to them and so is the fake FBI. They decide the best way to protect them is for them to get married. They do and things take a turn for the worse. Ronan is losing more and more of his Bratva and Navi gets shot by protecting Ronan.
Lev thinks he has Ronan by the balls. He has called a special Bratva meeting with the councilmen. However, Cali has her receipts that Ronan isn't guilty and she can proof it.
Lev does get what he deserves. As does Ronan and Cali. The kids love him and Navi has found someone as well.
I loved this duet. I felt it was pretty different from the other Bratva duets. Even though Cali may lack self confidence, she is so strong and has such a backbone on her. It was truly wonderful seeing her work and stand up in rooms full of very powerful/scary men and present her truth multiple times. I loved how the kids were written within both books too. I fell in love with them and their different personalities.
Reasons I’m giving this four stars instead of five: 1. There are a few inconsistencies throughout the second book and some editing issues. 2. Ronan fought for the Bratva and to remain the pakhan but how it is going to run and continue bringing in money is left basically unanswered. They shut down everything that made the bratva money so where do they go from here? So many people betrayed him, listening to Lev, but that isn’t addressed. Are they still part of the Bratva? Was all forgiven? I definitely was a bit confused.
I was on pins and needles when I finally got my hands on Cruel Kiss, the finale to Ronan and Calista's book by Nicole Fox. I was left holding my breath after the cliffhanger of Cruel Lies. What an amazing ride I hated to see end. Calista had sworn off men after her ex husband tried to destroy her but there was no denying the attraction between her and Ronan. Book 2 picks up right after the first book with Calista leaving Ronan and someone breaking into her home as her children sleep. To keep her and the children safe she agrees to marry the man who just broke her heart. As a Bratva boss, Ronan Akov will stop at nothing to keep what belongs to him safe. If you enjoy steamy mafia romance you will devour their story.

I absolutely devoured book 2. Book 2 continues with that smart scale and someone on Cali’s stairs. Cali fights for her life to keep to intruder away from her kids, Ronan isn’t far behind and comes to her rescue. Book 2 shows Cali is a strong female character and can protect herself and her kids and shows this a lot. Ronan is still this sweet man with her and her kids and protective of them. I love that Cali and Ronan can lean on each other and Cali can rescue him right back. A couple of weddings, some deaths and a happily ever after for the Akov family. Would love to know if Navi and the FBI agent are a thing.

This is the second part in this phenomenal duet, and Calista and Ronan’s journey continues. Calista and her two children are in danger, and Ronan gets her agree to marry him for their protection. Ronan has been hiding secrets from Calista, and when she figures out what he has been up to she is not happy, plus the FBI want her to gather information for them. This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, secrets, danger, suspense, intrigue, forced proximity, touch her an die, morally grey, revelations, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining and unpredictable, thrilling conclusion. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Cruel Kiss pulled me in fast, but Calista is what made it unforgettable. She’s not perfect—she’s real, messy, emotional, and so easy to relate to. You feel every doubt, every mistake, every moment right along with her.I loved that Nicole Snow didn’t try to make her into this untouchable, flawless character. Instead, we get someone raw and human, and it made every moment hit harder. The chemistry and tension are definitely there, but it’s the raw emotion that really stands out. Nicole Snow gives us flawed characters you can’t help but root for. If you love angsty romance with depth and realness, this one delivers.

Prepare for your emotions to sore and plummet! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book as I was captured by Roman and Cali in Cruel Lies! Cali seemingly realizes someone is in her house, and when she receives a notification from her smart scale like in book 1, all bets are off in the fight to protect her kids. Despite Cali telling Roman to leave, he stays by her house to protect them. Come morning, Cali’s daughter asks for Roman’s perfect Mickey Mouse pancakes which tears at your heart. Add in the FBI circling Cali to turn on Roman and you’re torn between how Roman will ever win back Cali’s heart. When the treachery gets real, will Roman trust those closest to him? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!
Cruel Kiss book 2 brings us back to the Akov Bratva and picks up Ronan and Cali's from Cruel Lies. This fantastic, fake marriage, second chance journey continues to burn the pages up and Calista continues to lie to herself about her feelings. One page at the time, one carefully placed word and a slight slip of the hand, Ronan is tearing Cali's defenses down and in the process making sure his enemies know he means business when it comes to his family. This author has brought a story that's completely consuming and characters that are absolutely off the charts HOT. Once again, the Akov Bratva duet is an absolute must read!
Oh Nicole once again girl you delivered another amazing book. After that cliffhanger which by the way I'm glad I didn't have to wait long to read!!!! The conclusion to Akov Bratva was so well written to close off the duo. This one was packing the heat no lie. Ronan and Calista were like ticking time bombs both tip toeing around and then combusting. Hot dang it was so freaking good. The rules between both were never kept lol. The banter between both was insane. Nicole you had me wondering if we will get Navi and FBI Mercer next with the bits and pieces left around. Fingers crossed it does!.

Wow ok didn't see that one coming. Just so suspenseful and chilling..
Cali and Ronan are having it tough in this ending to the duet. Cali is fighting for her while family who are at stake but Ronan comes at the right time.
Ever the Protector and on one enormous journey to help his family and start to sort their lives out. Cali isn't making it easier but her tough little mama bear is out to make an appearance.
So well done. This author always leaves me excited and keen to see what's next. Highly recommended!.

Ronan and Calista's journey to their happily ever after continues in Cruel Kiss. The drama is still intense, and his enemies are still determined to capture the woman who rules his heart so that they can get hold of the technology she created. His deception has placed a target on her back, but you can't rule out Ronan he is determined to gain back Calista's love even if it means tearing down his empire and taking out everyone who stands in his way. This thrilling book kept me glued to the pages and all caught up in the action from start to finish!.

Cruel Kiss completes Ronan and Calista’s story. This story is filled with emotional highs and lows. Ronan and Calista works though what life throws at them and comes out stronger. The characters continues their development begun in the first book. The kids are still cute and definitely brings out Ronan’s soft side. I am not a fan of trilogies or duets since the endings of previous books normally ends in a cliffhanger and then you wait a year or two for the next book! Kudos to the author for not making the reader wait too long for the next book!.

An Intricately Hot Conclusion The very satisfying conclusion to a well written revenge fantasy against a cheating husband and a dark secrets-laden romance with a lawyer/mafia boss with a paternal demon on his back and the beautiful exquisite-revenge getting ex-wife that is equal to its part one (Cruel Lies). This expands on the ex-wife becoming a whole person again, the lawyer/mafia boss becoming a fuller/better person, their high emotion/hot sex working through their dark issues, a high cost redemption for another, and excellent Bratva intrigue with a little FBI mixed in. Definitely recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cruel Kiss is book two of the Akov Bratva and picks up Ronan and Calista’s story right from the first books cliffhanger ending. Another intensely good narrative plays out against a backdrop of crime, betrayal, family, emotion, surprises, passion and twists. At it’s heart this is another to die for love story with excellent writing, and perfectly crafted characters driving a story that held me a willing prisoner to every emotional high, low and revelation. I was more than thrilled along the way to be led to a very well deserved HEA.

What a great second part. Loved the way Ronan was determined to support, protect and generally be around Cali and her kiddies. Cali is a hard nut to break and she was going to make it hard for him to break through her shell. However, in order to keep himself, and her safe, he tells her they have to marry, she’s not amused but agrees. I loved Navi’s character and would have loved to have read more about what happened to him. There’s a lot of action, framing and doible crossing which makes this story a hard to put down read.

After the cliffhanger of Cruel Lies, I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on Cruel Kiss. And I must say that Cruel Kiss delivered! The chemistry between Ronan and Cali is explosive. Ronan is likely my favorite Nicole Fox MMC of all time, and she's written some awesome MMCs. This duet was oddly healing for anyone with body image issues. I loved reading about Cali taking back her confidence and refusing to diminish herself while Ronan cheered her on. I really loved this duet and I highly recommend reading.
This is the second book in the Akov Bratva and continues the story of Ronan and Cali. It does pick up where the first book left off with a cliffhanger. I love that the author's characters are fun to read because the come alive in the pages. These two will have to weather their differences to find their happy ever after. It won't come easy but ultimately this is a love story that had me rooting for them to find that true love.

Book one ended on a rough note and I'm so glad there wasn't a long time to wait for book two. Again, Cali is so fierce and strong. Protective of her children and business. She's also insecure. Roman figured out how to make up for his mistakes and earn her forgiveness. To get the family he already sees as his. This book is still packed with action, drama, danger, emotions, humour, twists and hot romance that ends in such a wonderful HEA. I absolutely loved this duet and can't wait for what's next by this author :D
This is the conclusion to the Akov duet & you need to read Cruel Lies first. While the plot was engaging, I was more invested in the characters. Cali continues to grow larger and this means Ronan temporarily takes a backseat. Ronan is a total cinnamon roll for Cali & her kids and is becoming a man his mother would be proud of. Together, they’re formidable. It takes them a minute to get there but Cali again brings the receipts. Great pacing, lots of tension, and Bratva shenanigans. Loved the way the story came full circle.
Gosh, I absolutely loved this! It had the perfect ending. Watching Ronan slowly build trust and understanding with the kids was one of my favorite parts of the story. I loved how he was always honest, no matter how difficult the truth was. The twists kept me guessing the whole time, and I honestly suspected Navi at one point! It was thrilling, exciting, emotional, and so satisfying from beginning to end. This duology is absolutely beautiful and it's definitely a must-read!
