This was the first corporate history book I ever finished and it was genuinely interesting. It is fascinating to me how, amidst so many companies failing, Bosch survived two wars (with significant losses of property, revenue, and more each time), grew to 300,000 employees, stayed private, and has a positive, engaging, ethical corporate culture.
I visited Bosch and several employees still quoted the founder of this 125-year old company. "I would rather lose money than trust." Amazing.
