Do yourself a favor and read this book! Chock full of wisdom and a beautiful explanation on prayer and the power of it. I don't read a lot of non-fiction but this is one that I cherish and pick it up whenever I need encouragement.

Great book on prayer by Chuck Smith. This book was given to me and I was a bit reluctant to read it because I've read a lot of books on prayer, but I found this book to be refreshing and full of wisdom and great prayer stories. I liked Smith's balanced view that prayer us ultimately all about either aligning ourselves with God's will or entering into the process of that alignment. Satan hates praying Christians and it is an area that is greatly attacked and I think we need all the encouragement that we can get and this book was just the ticket for me.

This is a great little book on prayer. It is by no means exhaustive, but Chuck sees prayer as so vital and important to the life of a believer. He constantly affirms it should be our first port of call in troubles and not the last, he speaks of the power of the one to whom we pray and discusses types of prayers and how it works. He even addresses the issue of answered prayer!

One of the best, most useful books on prayer.

Maybe it isn't that its stuff you didn't already know, but the simplicity and straightfowardness of the narrative. In any case, I will be rereading this book several times I am sure.

A must read

I never was one for prayer, but oh hownI have missed so much of what God wanted to show me. I feel empowered now and equipped to pray fervently after understanding the importance and difference prayer makes. It is everything. Thank you Jesus for using Chuck mightily.
