The second book in the timeline series takes place in Darwin, following a now 15 year old Michael, his mum and sister. Wherever Michael goes I feel like trouble finds him! Despite the trouble that follows Michael, I feel he handles himself well for his age. It was also lovely to follow Michelle and Chelsea’s stories
and see them both learn and grow.
I really love the spiritual aspects that come in to play throughMichael’s dreams, with Spirit guides helping him along on his journey.
This story helps remind me that it’s ok to make mistakes and that dealing with the consequences and how you choose to move forward is so important in building your character.
Corruption runs deep, violence an everyday occurrence, heartbreak, joy and moments of clarity, learning from mistakes, working hard and finding the meaning of life. These are all lessons I have taken from this book. It is also a great reminder about how important our environment and the people we surround ourselves with are. Another great read, onto the third instalment - Timeline - Master of Trades.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a copy 🩷

Learning the Trade completely pulled me in. This one has such a fresh take on it. It feels like you are learning the rules right alongside the main character which makes everything so much more exciting.

It is fast, clever and full of those what would you do moments. The crime scene vibe on the cover totally fits because there is this constant tension of getting everything right. I could not stop turning the pages to see how it would all come together.

Mitchell McGlymans has such a fun voice and I am already curious to see where this series goes next.
