A space transit crashes on a planet in the middle of nowhere. With no chance of rescue, survivors must fight through a world of hunters that track down killer beast for sport. Will they escape before they become victims of Planet Prey?
A husband and wife writing team that love comic books, fantasy, science fiction, as well as rock and roll, trip-hop, good food and mixed martial arts. The couple lives in Modoc County, California (Yeah just like the big head little arm guy that is the leader of A.I.M. in Iron Man, that Modoc Co.)
This book starts off with a crazy and chaotic scene all being viewed from one girls cryo tube window. She sees death and destruction through out the chapter, don't want to give too much away, but it's pretty intense. Then the author takes care of character development with some humor while setting you up for the adventure to come. Once the first bit of creature action starts, you get into i got into the book in a big way, just continuing with the carnage, not even caring how old a child is before having her killed by a carnivorous tree, along with her mother... and that's just the beginning. I really don't want to give too much away, but if you want a read that will keep your interest with action and aliens killing other aliens, then this is a read for you, highly recommend for anyone who loves the genre.
Big crash in the beginning, lots of graphic death for an opening, then the crash is over and the survivors try to put the pieces together. These are an array of different people from an orphan kid to a mixed martial artist a couple of soldiers prissy girls and the ever lovable jerk we want to see get it in the worst way in these kind of stories. Once they find out what kind of planet they are on and that rescue is not coming, they have to move, and fast. Being a sitting duck on a planet of killer beasts from planets all over the universe doesn't sound like fun, neither does running into the wild, but you have to get off planet somehow. These survivors find out the animals are not the only things out there that are killers, plant life, Hunters and even criminals from across different planets all stand in their way. This was a short book but a fun one, it hit right at the comic book part of me, only down side, no artwork. well it is a book not a comic.

This was a fast read, it's not a very long book but the story gets on a roll and only slows for brief moments, then more death and with a title like this you would expect a lot of that. If you are looking for a quick read but one that will keep you entertained for the next few hours of reading i would give this a try. And for those who just love aliens and action, then you will have to get this, know what i mean. The title says it all, and then delivers.
RoChe Montoya has woven together a great, action-packed Sci-Fi fantasy filled with non-stop adventure. First off, I’d like to say that I love the cover. It’s absolutely gorgeous and conveys the genre very well. A teenage MMA fighter named Volta and a pack of spaceship wreck survivors must traverse through inhospitable land in order to get off a dangerous and mysterious planet. There’s plenty of blood, gore and drama in this futuristic novella. I’m glad I picked it up for free through Kindle Unlimited. The only problem I had with this book was there were too many characters. They were all introduced in the beginning of the book and it was a bit difficult to keep track of them all. The alien environment is exotic and the characters’ encounters are exciting. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. The price point is very good too. I give this book a 4.3/5 stars. I’m interested to see what Montoya comes up with next. If you like Sci-fi novels, give this little gem a shot!
This planet is nothing but death. A hunting ground for every alien in the universe, think Predator except not just one alien hunter, but many, from worlds everywhere. The prey; monsters from every planet everywhere, even raptors and other earth creatures. I really like this book, death shows no quarter, children and even a little doggie all get it in this death feast. With a title like Planet Prey, there better be lots of death and violence, and there is, a whole lot of it. It's not just the hunters and animals that do the killing, trees and even a fungus are killers on this planet. There are even criminals on this planet, and why not, they make good killing, or killers. Who wouldn't want to stick a head of some crook up on their wall, I want one stuffed and sitting across from me at tea time along with my stuffed dolls. Yes I still have tea with my dolls, don't you judge me or I'll send you to Planet Prey.
I love science fiction stories and I have really gotten more into them recently! I love how they are filled with so much action and excitement. This book was a very fun read that I really enjoyed. The book focuses around Volta, who is a 19 year old girl. She's taking a space transit to take part in a MMA fight. The flight crashes and Volta is left to survive. There's some crazy aliens that are trying to kill her and everyone that was on board. She has to fight for survival and it was interesting to see her do so through everything that she was going through. The book is full of action and moves at a quick pace. Can't wait to read another from this author!
A crash leaves people stuck on a planet of death. Crazy alien predators and even some from earth chasing down the survivors looking for their next meal. Had a blast from start to tragic finish.
