OH MY GOD! Harper & Connor 4EVER <3
This had everything I require from a book: Small town, feisty FMC, Badass vigilante MMC, Mafia/Bratva, barn animals, and a super cute love story. I don't even understand how this author does it, complete MASTERPEICE.

I have not read book 1, and the author stated that it isn't required. 😁 I completely agree! The author includes enough backstory to keep you informed, but more importantly, it intrigued me enough to want to go back and read Calliope and Oliver's story. BUT this book does literally start with the Male protagonist discussing 'Fred' from book 1. So I felt like I was missing something for a quick minute. Thankfully I soon got into the storyline and as the plot reveals itself, anything relevant to this story was explained 👏🏼. I have found in the past this doesn't happen, and then I am feeling slightly on the back foot.

The author does list the Tropes/warnings: so I've written my thoughts on those below:

*Age Gap 🩶 2/5 (the artwork makes Connor look younger) than his age in the book - 43 but he definitely got all the alpha male dominance traits that make him swoon worthy.
Harper, is 28 but she's definitely smart, independent and knows what she wants in a relationship... I also liked that even though she had never been in a dangerous position, she was smart and used her knowledge to keep herself in control.

*High Spice 🌶️ 4/5 Definitely spicy but I've read spicier , but I think the author has got the spicy/suspense and sweet mix just right 👍🏼, I've really enjoyed reading this book.

*Mafia (mentioned) 🕴🏼⚰️ 3/5 This was a good blend of small town country vibe with Mafia infiltration to create a suspenseful story set in the rural parkland where Harper works. Sergei was a favorite character too 😁
*Violence (on page) ⚔️🛡️🔫 3/5 I've definitely read darker, but the scenes are intense without being overly graphic 👏🏼 I think Queen is my favorite of Connor's team, but Thing 1 &Thing 2 are the ones that are most interesting 🧐
Note to Author: we need a Lockwood Cybersecurity series 😆

*Snakes (mentioned) 🐍 type 😂 and definitely the other type 🤪 (sorry couldn't resist)

*Kinks/Rough Sex 🪢3/5 We have some hot 🔥 scene's inside and outside 😁 gotta explore the woodland opportunities 😉 and Connor is definitely the one calling the shots 🪢🌶️

My final thoughts:
This is the first book I've read of this authors, and I think that considering this is Kaylees second book, and book 1 was released earlier this year (July) I predict we will be seeing more of this new authors works in the future 👏🏼🥰.

“Let Me See” is the second book in the “Lockwood Legacy” series, written by Kaylee Navarro. The book picks up shortly after the first story, so readers should start with “Let Me Go” first for a more in depth read. This is not necessary, but in my opinion, I would recommend it.

This is big brother Connor’s love story, and holy smokes is it HOT! We met Connor in the first book when he helped his sister, Caliope, escape from her tormentor. Cut to book two, and Caliope is with Beckett, who is the big brother to Harper, our FMC in this story. Without giving too much away, the two siblings of the couple from the first book have eyes for each other. But she’s much younger, and he has a dangerous job…

I love the moment, when we (the reader) witness the “snap” and our MMC shows us what danger actual looks like, when someone messing with what is “His”. With off the chart's chemistry, the banter, spicy scenes and tension…TOP NOTCH! Navarro does romance so seamlessly…you will eat this up!

If you are searching for a grumpy-and-sunshine dynamic, an age-gap romance, and a protective character, then this is the ideal book for you.

Connors has all the dominant alpha-male traits that make him truly swoon-worthy. Harper is definitely smart, independent, and very clear about what she wants in a relationship. I also appreciated that even though she had never found herself in a dangerous situation before, she remained sensible and used her knowledge to stay in control of herself.

I am also excited that the author has now released two books in less than six months apart from each other, which only makes me wonder what she has in store for us next.

Really enjoyed reading the second book in the Lockwood Legancy series!!!
Love that the second book was about Connor and Harper. Connor is Caliopes older brother, from the first book! We are talking age gap, trauma, banter and spice!!!
A family that sticks together taking care of one another through trauma. Even if it might illegal! Loved this book!!

I loved Let Me Go but Let Me See is perfection. Connor is book boyfriend dreams! His protective nature with her is one of my favorite things. All my favorite tropes in one book with a good level of spice. Highly recommend reading the books.
