Evil Human Experiments: In The Name Of Medicine

Rate this book
Do you think the CIA LSD drug studies are a myth? Perhaps you do not believe that mustard gas could be given to US Navy officers for the sake of medicine? Perhaps you have heard of trephination, but cannot imagine it is still in use today in certain parts of the world? Maybe you know someone that was subjected to a lobotomy or they are in your family tree, as the procedures ran rampant even into the 60s?These questions might sound a little out of this world to you or they might be the questions that pique your interest to find out what has truly happened in the name of medicine. Hundreds of experiments for different reasons have advanced medicine and psychology, but are they something to be proud of? Would our medical and psychological communities have gotten as far without the atrocities you are about to learn in this book?Take a read through to discover what the QKHILLTOP project was about.Discover how one doctor used a bullet hole to study a man.Cringe at the use of Newborns for unethical studies.Lastly, wonder what is truly going on in North Korea as citizen after citizen disappears after a black van drives through a city or village. All of the above questions and the four points are shared to illustrate how creepy, unethical, and cruel even the most intelligent people can be simply to further research. Some of the following is more like an obsession of a psychopath getting the proper consent from those who want answers by any means necessary.

Mind boggling

As a person over 50, I do remember hearing and reading about most of these experiments. I did see the documentary about HeLa genome and Tuskegee experiments. So I do know these tests did happen. This book is short but the author gets his point across. I finished this book shaking my head.
