After seeing her sister die from a deadly virus that has no cure, Cat is on a mission to try and find a cure. Cat has no idea that the virus has more to do with things that go bump in the night, arriving in Greenland she finds herself attracted to a man named Rune. Cat is not one for relationships or distractions, but everything about Rune has Cat on edge and wanting something more.

Rune is a child of the mist who has awoken to save the world from destruction. One fateful moment has rune taking the first step in claiming Cat as his consort. Cat would be unlike any consort he has been with though, she would be only be his. With the world teetering Rune doesn't need the distraction, but he is feeling the need to claim his mate who is unsure of what Rune actually is.

Intriguing story. I thought this was a fantastic read. Very different and you were able to visualize every moment in the story. I loved Rune, he is out of his element and doesn't quite know how to handle Cat which leads to a very fun read. Highly entertaining.

His enemies have awaken from their frozen prison, Rune a child of mist searches for them but finds Cat, a human with the key to saving him and the world, they’ll have to figure it out soon because the children of fire are way ahead of them in this thrilling erotic paranormal fantasy. This fascinating new world has some very interesting and unique elements and the author has added her own refreshingly different spin on mythology and gave life to some distinct and attractive characters. There is never a dull moment as the spine tingling anticipation builds throughout the story and surprising twists keep the readers on their toes. I really enjoyed this engaging story and I can’t wait to see where the fascinating plot takes us in the future books of the series.

The title of this book should be 'Hamstere i Begjær', which is jacked-up Norwegian for 'Hamsters in Heat'. While there were some interesting bits of what could have been a riveting story, most of 'Mist Revealed' was one sex scene, after another sex scene, after another, with the profuse use of cock and pussy on practically every damn page...ugh.
At 78% of the book, the plot thickened...only to end in a cliffhanger at 86%. Then, the reader gets a teaser for another story.
Screw (literally) this. I will not be reading anything else by this author. What a waste of my time and $3.00.

Mmmm, let's just sit back and take a long look at the cover for a minute. I mean....sigh....Ok, now back off, he's mine!

Although I've read many books by Ms. Corrigan, this is the first time I've read one involving Vampires. Yep, you heard me, but this isn't your typical vampire. These are supernatural demons who can be traced back to the Norse Gods. If you know anything about the new Thor movie coming out, then names like Odin and Thor should ring a bell. In fact, this story revolves around Ragnarok, the final battle between good and evil. But I digress...

Rune awakens from his self induced death sleep to the realization that he and his brothers have slept through the awakening of their enemy. Where Rune is of the Mist element, his enemy is of the Fire element. Yep, you guessed it, Good vs Evil. While trying to find his enemy, Rune is captivated by a scientist who is determined to find the cause of a mysterious virus sweeping Greenland. The same virus that killed her sister. But is it really a virus?

Cat is the scientist who is brilliantly trying to solve the mystery of the new virus stand. But it becomes apparent that her research leads her to a conclusion that many humans aren't ready to hear or understand. Despite her attempts to keep focused on the task at hand, she keeps finding herself in the arms, and bed, of Rune. Clearly he just does things to her she can't understand. Until the pieces start to fit together.

I have to admit that even though I was pulled in to this read, it didn't pick up for me as quickly as I had hoped. Was there chemistry between Rune and Cat? Um, duh? Was the story line intriguing, keeping me interested? Not at first, but once I started to understand the difference in the elements, the back story and her connection, I was more than pulled in. I'm hooked. This book was obviously written a couple of years ago. I picked it up because I noticed that the second one was being released soon. I'm glad I won't have to wait to find out more about both Children of the Mist and Fire.

*I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

4 ½ Mystical Hot Stars
This book is HAWT!!! Despite its cool misty and icy setting this book will set both your heart and your undies aflame. This book blends ancient Norse Mythology with our more common paranormal flare taking on a new twist on the popular vampire storyline.

Rune a Mist Warden has recently awaken from his slumber along with his brethren to learn that the ancient Fire Demons of Asgard have escaped their ice prison and begun wreaking their havoc across the lands. The Fire Demons are set on destroying the Norse Gods of old and consuming their power causing Ragnarok (Destruction & rebirth of the world) to take place earlier then foretold and leaving them to rule over the new world. Rune as a Warden is responsible and determined to destroy the Fire Demons and put an end to their devious plans. However when an intelligent scientist named Cat steps foot on his land he finds she may be a distraction he can’t resist.

Cat has journeyed to find the source of what she has determined is a virus infecting the living. Unaware that this virus is caused by the Fire Demons and spread through a vampiric bite she has placed herself in the forefront of danger. But when she meets Rune her urges to jump his sexy bones is a fight she can’t win, but Rune has a secret. You see the Mist Wardens also need blood; with a battle raging between the two groups and both requiring blood to sustain life who can she trust and can she survive long enough to make that choice.

This story was great, I loved the inventive new take on Vampires and how Corrigan added Norse legend to the mix. Rune and Cat’s chemistry in the bedroom is off the charts and some of the scenes may just leave you panting for more. There was suspense, mystery and thrills in this book. I did get a little bit annoyed with Cat’s constant denial of her feelings for Rune and her back and forth but I understood it. And I would have liked to see a stronger emotional connection between the Rune and Cat as I felt a lot of it was purely physical. However I did like the descriptions of the land and the powers that Rune wielded it was such a fascinating visual to have while reading. And the whole setting of the story further amplified the mystical and magical elements throughout. It was a captivating and sensual read and I look forward to see what will come next in the series.

This novel is eloquently and enticingly written. Her narrative captures your attention while her vivid descriptions tug at your imagination. The creatures that the author creates are such vivid beings that it’s easy to picture them taking over your world. The melding of various mythologies is very interesting and kept me thinking. Corrigan ties the old with the new, science with myth, creating a new world order that is easily believable. It brings everything together.

The intricately crafted characters in this novel top off Corrigan’s fascinating story. Cat was perfect for her role, struggling with the new information that has turned her world upside down. Rune combines the old world with the new world in a way that is all his own. He is the perfect one to introduce us to his world. His compassion combined with his raw maleness is every woman’s dream.

This quick, original read is definitely one for lovers of paranormal romance. I, for one, will be waiting with baited breath for the next novel in the series.

A great start to a new series, Mist Unveiled was a sweet and spicy paranormal romance that I really enjoyed. It was a lovely read and I liked it.

Both characters were likable. Cat was clever and strong in the face of everything she went through. Rune was sweet and determined to protect the woman he loved. I thought both were great.

The romance was steamy. Cat and Rune had a ton of chemistry and the heat was off the charts. And, they were definitely sweet together.

The plot moved quickly and I was kept interested the entire way through. I enjoyed the story and the ending was great. I'm definitely curious to see what happens next in the series.

Mist Unveiled was a wonderful paranormal romance. It was sweet, hot, and an enjoyable read. Romance lovers, if you want a spicy read, then this is a book for you.

Folklore, Mist, Fire and gods.....

Cat is scientist searching for answers to a disease, she travels to Greenland where it's affecting most people.

Rune has been awoken from his long sleep as have his brethren, there's danger in the world that needs dealing with. Something only him and brothers can fight against.

I love inst-attraction in pnr books, cat keeps berating herself reminding herself she's a modern woman lol. She may be modern woman but she's also totally into Rune.
Rune doesn't want a woman, but his body and slowly his heart tell him otherwise.

I enjoyed this book, rune and cat are a great couple, with an interesting and hot courtship. I have to admit knowing this is a series Im looking forward to Dravens book.

Four vampy and racey stars

~this review may contain minor spoilers~

'That's right. Kiss me. Need you to warm me as no other female has. Need you to be my life.'

Cat lives her life in a lab; science rules her, it is the only passion she knows. Facts and findings direct her, she has no time for myths and legends ~ if it is not scientifically proven, it doesn't exist. When her sister suddenly dies from an unknown virus, she is determined to find out all she can about it and discover a cure. Her research lands her in Greenland and directly into the arms of a man who will challenge everything she has ever known and change the course of her life forever, weather she likes it or not.

Rune is a child of the mist, recently awoken from his century long slumber to discover a world changed in ways he never expected. Global warming has melted the ice-prison his enemies were entombed in and it is up to him and the other wardens to protect the humans from the Fire Demons. From the minute he lays eyes on Cat, he knows he must have her. He has never had this kind of reaction to a woman before, and frankly, he doesn't have the time for it now; but that doesn't change the fact that he must claim her as his, she is a treasure he cannot let go. Convincing her may be more difficult than he ever imagined; he is a contradiction to everything she has ever believed, he's not even human, and she may hold the key to saving humanity from his enemies, so.... no pressure, right?!

She was naked in a room with two vampires. Her fear returned. It didn't chase away the desire. The two conflicting emotions wrapped around her. She'd never felt so confused in her life. Nothing made sense. She hated it. She wanted facts, something she could analyze and interpret, not emotions or make-believe stuff that had no basis she could conceptualize.

I do love me a good erotic paranormal romance, and this one blew me away. It was unique, full of mystery and suspense, lots of fab characters, crazy hott sex and intense chemistry, it wrapped up nicely (NO cliffhanger) but this series still has the potential to go to so many different places. There was a touch of insta-love, which generally drives me insane, but it was hardly noticeable; so much happened in this story that at times I completely forgot the time-frame only spanned a few days. It gripped my attention right from the start and kept me on my toes with no idea where the author was gonna take me next; as someone who reads as much as I do, I've come to expect some predictability in the books I dive into so it's a nice change when I'm taken by surprise. That alone makes me anxious to see where this series takes us next, add in all the characters we've already met, and the ones we've only heard of, and I'm dying for more. Nancy Corrigan has definitely landed herself on my Paranormal One-Click Addiction List with her panty-melting Hero's and fascinating world and I am very much looking forward to her next adventure.

He was the cold one. No more. Cat had ignited a fire within him he hadn't known he held. He burned... for her.

Sizzling and Emotional!

I never knew that the end of the world could be so, well, damned sexy! Author Nancy Corrigan has not only done her homework on Ragnarok, but given it a fresh twist in her release of Mist Unveiled, book 1 in her new series, Elemental Desire. This novel just sizzles and could well ignite your reading device as well as your panties!

Awakened from their long slumber, Wardens and children of the mist, brothers Rune and Jaron, face an unfamiliar modern world. The evil eldjotnar, the fire demons, have escaped their icy prison, due to global warming and are busy wreaking havoc and destruction on the human population.

Scientist Cat travels to Greenland in an attempt to locate the source of a new and potentially terrifying virus which killed her sister. It is there that she literally collides with Rune, unleashing an immediate and unexpected passion (cue many, many scrumptious and smexy scenes)! However, danger threatens. As Rune strives to protect this woman who he desires like no other, Cat struggles to accept Rune for what he is, an immortal creature who requires blood to survive. Her rational and scientific mind also prompts her to try to find out more about the virus and her sister’s death and in doing so she unearths a number of secrets that appear to be coming more and more personal…

I just ADORE reads where the hero and heroine are unexpectedly brought together by blinding passion and then have to face their fears and work through their differences – and the differences between Cat and Rune are a source of conflict throughout. Rune is an alpha male through and through and, as a creature of the mist, he has many magical and mystical qualities. He has the reputation amongst his peers for being emotionally cold towards women, until he meets Cat that is, who excites him and ignites his passion like no other. Cat is a woman who has embraced the logic of modern science over the belief in myth and legends, and has no time for love. The scenes between them are downright hot and sublimely erotic and I enjoyed immersing myself in their physical and emotional journey as they grappled with discovering and accepting each other, as well as combatting the increasing danger that Cat in particular finds herself in.

Although the main focus of the read is on the main couple, Cat and Rune, a number of other key characters are introduced, all with intriguing personalities, who could feature in future books in the series. The plot is fast paced and the scenes describing the power and magical abilities that the characters wield in the book are extremely well done and I really enjoyed the pictures that the words painted in my head.

Nancy Corrigan writes smexy and imaginative lovemaking scenes, laced with passion and emotion. If you are looking for a new erotic paranormal romance fix, you will love Mist Unveiled.

A copy of this book was given to me by the author for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

I just want to start by saying I LOVE NANCY CORRIGAN!!!!!

I first came across her when I was involved in a blog tour with her book "Unexpected Find" and after reading that book I was hooked. She has continued to bring me joy in the form of shape shifters, hunters and now sexy sexy mythological creatures that use the earth's elements to save the human race.

This story is about Cat who is a scientist who believes in facts and figures and her research. She finds herself in Greenland researching a deadly virus that has taken her sisters life. With so many things against her she finds herself at dead end after dead end and not knowing what else to do, she flies herself to the heart of the virus to do some hands on research. The moment she arrives she comes face to face with a man who introduces himself as Rune, and convinces her that has has been hired by her boss as security, to assist her during her stay in Greenland. The sexual attraction between them is instant. I think in the very first page of them meeting they are making out, which neither of them is able to explain.

Rune is from an ancient time and has been sleeping for thousands of years when he and his brethren awaken and realise that the world has changed and their enemies have been released by global warming and the melting of the icecaps. He does not know why he has an intense attraction to the Cat, but he does know that he wants to take her as his mate. She however is not so sure, and does not want to experience the attraction that she feels for Rune, what she wants to do it research the virus that killed her sister. Her whole world is turned upside down and she discovers who and what Rune is and how he and his brothers have impacted on the history of the world.

I love how flighty and independent Cat is, when she is first introduced to use, she is wearing odd shoes, her jacket is taped together with masking tape and her hair is so crooked it is obvious to all. She is beautiful, but to her that is not important what is important is what she is passionate about, and that is research and saving lives. Her appearance and how people see her is not important to her. I love that about her, I love that she is so passionate and focused, but when she meets Rune, her turns her whole world upside down. Rune is a typical alpha male, he is from an ancient time and has ancient beliefs, but he understands that Cat is a modern woman, and he is adamant that he will make Cat his. I loved the passion between these two they are from two different worlds and yet they work together so well.

I really enjoyed the start to this series and can't wait to read more about this world. I am sure that as usual I will thoroughly enjoy the journey.

ARC Mist Unveiled

I’m a fan of Mythology, so when Ms. Corrigan announced she was starting a new series based on Norse Mythology I was so excited to get my hands on this new read and see what type of story she came up with. I was pulled into a phenomenal storyline devouring every page up with great anticipation to learn more about the myth she has created.

Mist Unveiled is book one in the Elemental Desire series by Nancy Corrigan. The author has so much happening in Mist Unveiled with government cover up’s, magical artifacts, local legends, ancient cultures and intense romance.

Cat, a scientist who is very dedicated to her work. I was surprised at what she turned out to be. The author did a great job keeping me in suspense until it was reviled about her heritage.

Rune, a Warden also know as the children of the mist. He and his brethren have been a sleep for a millennia. They are tasked to protect the Norse Gods and prevent Ragnarok from coming to be.

WOW! I was absorbed with the mythology, lack of predictability, new breed of pre-natural creatures, and the heat that radiated off the pages. Everything flowed nicely, did not feel forced and the sexual energy was raw and hot. I was not expecting to be so pulled into the storyline and romance. I enjoyed learning about the eldjotnar and the children of the mist. What role they will play in the future and what happened in the past to change there futures. The author left me in suspense and aw most of the book with Cat and where the story was going. I loved the twist and turns, the mythology and thrill of learning the legends. As for the romance it was hot and spicy. They are instantly attracted to each other and the author does a great job explaining this in away that I understood and liked. Cat and Rune, learn to let go of the past and to accept love into their hearts.

I highly recommend picking up this new series, especially if you love mythology and sex pre-natural creatures. I am looking forward to more in this great new series from Ms. Corrigan.

Holy Momma!

This was HOT

UPDATE:

Firstly I want to thank Nancy once again for kindly providing me with a copy of "Mist Unveiled" to read and review.

This will be the second book of Nancy's that I would of read and they seem to be getting better and better, ,albeit, it's a different book in a series.

I first came across her when I was involved in a blog tour with her book "Hunter Betrayed" and after reading that book I was hooked. She has continued to bring me joy in the form of shape shifters, hunters and now sexy sexy mythological creatures that use the earth's elements to save the human race.

Cat never expected that going on her own to find what a terrible virus was, she would bump into a very hot misty guy that would literally sweep her off her feet.

She has journeyed to find the source of a virus infecting the living. Unaware that this virus is caused by the Fire Demons and spread through a vampiric bite she has placed herself in the forefront of danger...

Rune a Mist Warden has recently awaken from his slumber along with his brethren to learn that the ancient Fire Demons have escaped from their ice prison and begun wreaking havoc across the human lands.

This story was great, I loved the new idea of Vampires and how Corrigan added Norse legend into the mix. Rune and Cat’s chemistry in the bedroom is off the charts and some of the scenes may just leave you panting for more. There was suspense, mystery and thrills in this book.

I love the way that Nancy combined a little bit of history, legends and passion without it becoming overwhelming.

Mist Unveiled is a passionate love story that keeps you glued to the book, I for one is dying to find out what will happen next. I'm looking forward to Dravens book.

Mystical beings that are gifted with eternally youth and have been frozen in time, only to awaken when the world needs them most? Yes, please!!!

MIST UNVEILED introduces the eldjötnar, ancient warriors born of fire, whose black hearts and evil deeds are destined to bring about Ragnarök (otherwise known as the end of the world) unless The Wardens can stop them.

Times have changed since The Wardens, sons of the mist who are devoted to honor and preserving life, last walked the land. Awoken from their slumber to find their enemies already destroying lives, they are scrambling to adjust not only to the new century but also the changes in their own magic that time has wrought.

Cat is a modern woman who believes in what she can see, feel and study scientifically. Mythology has never played a part in her life, but when she finds herself inexplicably drawn to a man who claims to be the other half of her soul, the world she thought she knew suddenly changes.

ELEMENTAL DESIRES is a passionate and adventuresome paranormal romance series that's deeply rooted in Norse mythology. With captivating characters, sensual chemistry, and the bold and descriptive world building I've come to expect from the pen of Nancy Corriagan, MIST UNVEILED is the first in a series that's sure to burn up the charts!

A virus like no other is spreading around parts of Greenland. Cat has researched this, and it has become personal as her sister has also died from it. She goes to Greenland without authority, to try and find out more data to back her research. She literally bumps into Rune and sparks fly. Her life will change from that moment in ways she had never, and could never, have imagined. Rune is instantly drawn to Cat, in a way he never has been previously. He knows that he wants to 'mate' her, he knows that he will not be sharing her, even though this was a common occurrence amongst his brothers.

With a fast-paced storyline, you are drawn into the world of Mist and Smoke, with Norse Gods, Fire Demons and Wardens. With a cast of fantastic characters, both good and bad, this story will sweep you away and leave you wanting more. As this is the first story, you do get the history part of the story too, which you need, but it is done in such a way that you don't mind and, in fact, want to know more.

A brilliant start to the series, and I can't wait to read more. Highly recommended.

4.5 Stars. I'm definitely looking forward to the second book
A new and exciting series by Nancy Corrigan.....Yay! The Elemental Desire series is right up there with her Royal Pride series, sexy men and hot sex.
Cat cares about nothing but finding a cure for a new virus that claimed her sister's life. When she travels alone to search for answers she finds more than she bargained for. Between the strange man who she feels an indescribable pull towards, and the weird creature who is sucking on people's neck infecting them with the deadly virus, Cat knows she is in over her head. Finding out the hard way about these strangers that people are calling vampires makes her more determined to find the cure and how it is all connected to her Grandmother. When evil finds Cat, Rune is willing to do anything to save her but even all of his growing powers might not be enough.

WOW what a ride this book was. I love all of Nancy’s books, and this one doesn’t disappoint. It was a wonderful mythology meets today’s times. Don’t call them vampires. Personally I call them sex god’s heheh. But I enjoyed the twist and turns of this new series. I love the spunky Cat and how she all about facts, and must see it to believe it. And then we met *swoon* Rune. One of the children of the mist, him and his brothers have temporary stopped the children of the fire once before but, global warming has released them …. They are once again in a fight with them, but when he meets Cat his world is turned upside down. It is a great beginning, and I can’t wait to read more, met more of the brother’s and I can’t wait to get to know Jaron and yes even Devon …

Cat is a scientist, she lives by the philosophy that you draw your conclusions from evidence. You do not believe in fairy tales, you don't believe in ancient myths.
Rune is exactly that, a myth, a being that is not supposed to exist. On top of that his sex appeal is off the charts.

This tale is intricately woven and unbeatable. The author weaves in information about old gods, creates a new breed of preternatural and has an amazing story to boot.

I was thrilled with the lack of predictability in this book, the new features of the characters and most importantly the heat that radiated off the pages when Cat and Rune were together. None of it felt forced, just completely raw sexual energy. This is my favorite Corrigan read yet!

I am giving this review for author Nancy Corrigan. This is from the Elemental Desires book series from the author.

Rune awakens from a deep sleep to find his enemy the fire demons have escaped their icy prison and not he must try to capture them. Cat Sanders is looking into the cause of the virus UP-33. This virus is so deadly it threatens humanity but what Cat doesn't know is who is causing the virus.

The flow of this story was really good. I found no unexpected bumps in the story line. The 2 main characters Cat and Rune worked very well together and with the other characters in this book.

This is for any mature paranormal romance reader who likes a little suspense in their books.

This was such an interesting story. This is the second book I've read from Corrigan and I'm a fan for life! The book has such an interesting back story and each character seems to have a story all their own. Corrigan takes mythology and creates such an amazing story. Cat has to find a cure when she travels to Greenland and she finds so much more. Rune is ruled by duty and his need to protect. The story has action, mystery, mythology, and some oh so sexy steamy scenes. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and kept me captivated throughout! I can't wait for the next book to find out ... well I can't tell you that.

Hot Mist!

This was a very passionate love story.

I love the way the author combined a little bit of history, legends and passion without it seeming like a dirty thing.

Cat never expected that going on her own to find what a terrible virus was, she would bump into a very hot misty guy that would literally sweep her off her feet.

It's a very passionate love story that keeps you glued to the book, dying to find out what will happen and is it ever a surprising find.

I highly recommend this book to Adult fans of Erotic Paranormal, it will satisfy you in all respects and keep you enthralled.

Do you want to imagine what Global Warming would do to the world if we truly lived in a supernatural world, then you need to read this book and know that it could be just as bad in a completely un-supernatural way. Loved how Ms. Corrigan integrated this phenomenon in her story.

Global Warming has melted the ice that imprisoned the Fire Demons and The Children of The Mist who have been in a stasis of sleep until the waking of The Fire Demons. The Children of the Mist are Wardens tasked with protecting humanity in the case that The Fire Demons were unleashed. When the Children of the Mist are awakened, they realize that the evil has been set free years ago and they may be too late to save the world.

Rune a Warden is flooded with guilt in the knowledge that his plan to keep the evil in check has failed and that they are spreading a virus that may very well cause the end of life as we know it. He is called 'Cold' by his brethren because he has never succumbed to a female. Not until he meets Cat and she melts the coldness from him and in it's place leaves a warmth unknown to him. All he wishes is to show her the passion that has been dormant in him all his life and save the world at the same time. Th lovely human is more than he anticipated and he is thrown into a quandary.

Cat Saunders is a Scientist trying to discover the cause of the Virus that killed her sister, she never expected what she is confronted with. Always dealing in facts, she cannot fathom what her body and eyes are telling her. The man takes her to heights she never imagined possible and she soon learns that she has inherited something very valuable from her namesake Catherine Saunders.

Ms Corrigan has re-written this story and has managed to make me feel all the emotions that Cat feels, the passion is very deep and indescribable. So very well written, I had to get away from the book on multiple occasions just to cool my heels. I loved it and you will have to read it to appreciate what I have said.

Running to read the next book in this fantastic series!

I loved this story. This story is truly a great Paranormal love story. The author truly shows her creativity in this story. We have what is called Children of Mist and then we have what is called Eldjotnar or what is also referred to as the fire demons.

Cat has allowed her drive to get to the bottom of what she thinks is s deadly disease drive her to this small town where deaths are taken place. Little did she now it would probably fate leading her there. Leading her to her destiny. Leading her to the arms of a man that would change her world.

Rune was what was one of the children of the mist. He was on a mission to discovery how the Eldjotnar were freed. This was putting the human race in danger. Eldjotnar did not have a heart and killed human’s left and right.

There was so much chemistry between Cat and Rune. Cat was a scientist. She relied on facts. To believe there was something like Fire Demons or Children of the Mist was a little hard for her to believe. But what happens when she if forced to believe. When the facts are right there before her face.

I loved the companion that Rune had for his future mate. He was learning how independent she really was. She was hard head and very stubborn. He knew he had to keep her close to protect her. I loved the fact how patient he was with her and was not wanting to force her into a mating.

I loved how Cat was one that got to the bottom of stuff. She had so many emotions that were flooding her. It truly was confusing her but one thing was clear her heart had chosen Rune even though her mind was still battling with the thought.

This was a great story and one I would suggest you read if you like paranormal romance.

I really enjoyed the premise of the story line. I love the mix of ancient Norse mythology and how she has brought them into a modern world setting. The characters were believable and both had their quirks. The hero obviously had his secrets which were drip-fed to the Heroine. A lot of the time when I read this sort of thing I'm often left annoyed and thinking 'just come right out and tell her FFS. Enough with the cloak and daggers', but I found this surprisingly believable in that it would be a lot for a stubborn, modern day woman to comprehend.

Now. My only issue with this book is the kissing and groping. Don't get me wrong, I love a bit of kissing and groping but honestly in this book there was way too much time spent feeling each other up whilst the baddies were lurking around. But hey, that's just me and it didn't detract from the book too much :D

Other than that little nit-pick, I'm quite looking forward to the next book in the series. I just hope that it is not a wash-rinse-repeat of the first book in the series.

A promising start to a sexy series.

To start, this is one of my favorite covers. That man is hot.

This is a story of old gods, elemental creatures, and the remaking of the world. It also involves humans and their influence on the balance of otherworldly power.

I liked most of the basic storyline. Some additional editing needs to be done though. I would have liked to have seen some more interaction between the characters between sex scenes, perhaps from Draven's viewpoint. Maybe the village elder could have been more of a main character to explain the Norse legends. I also would like it if the physical world around them had not turned to mist as soon as she ran into his chest. The whole village developed into three buildings with three humans and some dogs?

I would read another book because I see potential.

Rune's perfect mate

Woken to find that the fire demons have been set free, Rune realises that he needs to find and imprison or destroy them. He has no idea that he will meet his true mate that he thought he didn't need. Cat has come to investigate the virus that killed her sister but instead meets a man who she develops feelings for. Readers should enjoy this book and I would highly recommend it to those who love great romantic stories.

Most Revealed: Children of Mist & Fire

I wouldn't have waited so long to read this book if I had known it was this good. I'm intrigued and excited to see who's next and who is going to mate with Sam.
