Do you ever wish there was more side difference in sapphic monster romance? Well I do, and this one delivered. The book, like all in this series, was very spice with safe kink. Marina was ready for Demi and briefly kidnapped her mid date, which, yeah I like me a villainous monster mommy. She did learn from her mistakes. Demi was pretty blunt and took longer to come around to the fated mates thing than Marina did, but they found their step pretty quick.

I’ll be honest… the author could have made this wee book into a full length book and I would have enjoyed it.

They created an interesting world, I felt that it was well written, the characters were likeable, the romance was insta lust goodness, and the plot could have easily been expanded.

Wonderfully spicy, muscle human with giant mermaid is a new one to me, but beautifully thought out with a lot for the imagination to feast upon.

Absolutely recommend reading them all to understand the characters, the backstories and the overarching lore!
