Lola is a book lover with a *slight* romance obsession and a passion for love. Especially love between sassy women and huge, growly magical men ;)

When she's not reading or writing up a storm, she's hanging out with her husband and three kids, or baking something sugary that she *probably* shouldn't eat (but will).

A guide to her books can be found on her website. All of her series can be read entirely on their own, so there's no necessary reading order.

Divine as always

I thoroughly loved how this was an extended epilog to the fated mate bonds series and all our beloved couples came back. I cannot get enough of Lola Glass and her writing style.

The plot... perfect. Just enough drama but still considered low stakes. Magic and creatures I rarely get to see or appreciate in high fantasy books in a bit sized morsel that always hits the spot.
The spice... flawless. Tension and build up with the perfect amount of spice to add to the plot and satisfy those smut cravings.
The characters... adorable. No matter the trope I fall for each and every one of them. Their trauma, their flair, their personalities always have a relatable note to connect with.

If you havent read this girls whole catalog yet, get on it.

Great addition to this series

Another lovely wonderful paranormal fated mates romance by Lola Glass. Lola’s stories are always so well written with humour, banter, romance and human nature (worries, insecurities, etc causing problems) and this one is no different. It's full of a mix of wonderful characters with brilliant chemistry (both main and side characters), friendships, a fallen angel and a very opinionated vampire king, shifters, demons and other paranormals, characters who struggle with their powers, heaps of humor, great banter and plenty of sweet spice💖. I couldn't put down and read it in a day; would strongly recommend.

Sent by Grayson, Ophelia has gone to the prison she'd built for the immortals with the task of finding and rescuing two of the demon royals who had been unfairly imprisoned. The vampire king Dante (Inferno) and the siren queen Jazz.

She didn't expect to find herself needing to fake mate with Dante for protection, or that Jazz is now the mate of her brother, who she definitely didn't want to see again. But she quickly realises how many of the prison's inmates are there unfairly, trapped by those who have exploited her magic, and I loved seeing how they work together to rectify that.

I have loved this book and it was great to have another immortals romance in Rumor, I really hope we get more from this world in the future.

ARC Review

As always, I absolutely love this author and could happily spend my days reading every single book she writes. This series is probably one of my favourites, and I enjoyed this one so much!

Dante and Ophelia are just adorable. I loved watching the way they slowly fall in love and become a team — there’s something so sweet about their relationship and the way they fit together.

I also really love how Lola has challenged the idea that dark = bad. Dark is just dark. It’s neutral, and it can be good. I think that perspective comes through so beautifully in this series, and it’s something I really appreciate.

Honestly, I just loved this book. The characters, the romance, the world — it all worked so well for me. Another absolute winner from an author I will happily read anything from! 🖤.

This was insta lust. The little bit of plot later on is ok. I usually love Lola’s books. This one was just ok for me.
I honestly had higher hope for Ophelia’s (the fallen angels) book.
Love that she was paired with a vampire but it just didn’t feel cohesive or well thought out I guess.. in a weird way. She said it was meant to be standalone but then turned into a duet.
There isn’t much of any depth to the characters. Really traumatic pasts are briefly mentioned and then never discussed again. The characters were sleeping together in the beginning for necessity.. then feeling came later. If you’ve read a lot of this authors books like I have it just didn’t feel like her books. The first quarter of the book especially. But regardless it was still a pretty good time. Just wasn’t my favorite

What a perfect ending to this series.
I enjoyed the series a lot and this book was the cherry on top. I'm really sad to be gone from this world and these characters, too. But I'll definitely be giving it a re-read.

I would love a book maybe from the same world where we really dive in to vampiric culture. Dante being so furious with Ophelia for her insecurities that ended up showing up as her basically insulting him? That was chef's kiss. I basked in those scenes haha they were my favourite.

Anyway, if you're a bit kinky and want to see a FMC go from loathing herself to accepting she's pretty great + mending family issues and trauma, this is the book for you.

I only got 4h of sleep because of this book on a work night and I wasn't even mad the next day, that's how good it is.

I love Lola Glass. I’ve read every one of her books, and they’re always such an escape without having to think too hard. This book falls into that category as well. This is romance with a side of paranormal. There’s definitely a story line, but the lead couple’s relationship is the main focus. This book had a little more spice than the average Lola Glass book. It falls in line with the other books in this series as being 4/5 on the spice scale. I definitely recommend it!.

I enjoyed this more than the others in the series. But what is it with Glass writing MMC as completely overbearing I really dislike it. It’s almost like her FMC don’t get a say because even though they’re so strong and powerful deep down they’re just silly little girls who need strong men BLEH Example: he forces her to eat food when she didn’t want it, she vomits, he reluctantly agrees that she should eat when she feels able to? He also changes agreements, her house and clothes all without a discussion!!! And how does he adapt? By not working as much???? Pleaseee

I absolutely LOVED this book! This was a prefect addition to the Fated Mate Bonds series. I would love to read a prequel novella for River and Jazz but it was great to see how all the mated couples were doing. Ophelia and Dante are a great addition to the group. I loved the progression of their relationship and the dynamic between them. I would definitely continue reading if Lola writes more in this series. I received a free ARC from the author and this is my honest review

A perfectly decent Lola Glass book, and an ending to the series that doesn't leave me feeling like anything was missed.
Some things did feel rushed about the story, and I was somewhat surprised to have sex within the first couple of chapters, but overall it was perfectly... fine. The characters didn't have as much depth to them as I have come to expect from Lola, but that isn't to say that I didn't enjoy the book. I did!

a perfect conclusion

This series was really good. Devoured this in one read and liked how their relationship developed throughout. Her having to fix the prison, them working in their mate bond and all the moments in between. Made it all feel very believable even though it’s fantasy. Needless to say I will be adding this series to my reread rotation and getting copies for my bookshelf too.

Ophelia may have created the prison but others had used it for their own gains and shes the key to freedom only shes sent after the vampire king Dante and to get out they have to pretend tp be in love, easy for Dante than Ophilia, she just has to catch up. Well written engaging steamy steamy drama action and more

Great as always

Lola Glass books are an always read for me and this one did not disappoint. This one had a bit more edge to it than her usual but I really liked it and it was fun to revisit some of the characters from earlier in the series while opening up a totally new storyline within the same world.

love it! finally the infamous prison

Oh I loved this descent into the magical prison. Ophelia and her dark angel stuff was really cool. I do appreciate how Lola Glass does trauma that is poignant without being graphic, it keeps the story light enough to flow without feeling bogged down. This one is definitely one of my favorites. I do have a soft spot for the demons though.

The perfect ending to this series! I absolutely loved how Ophelia is portrayed, a strong amazing woman that was truly such a good ending to this story. This book felt so special and the relationship was so raw and real. There will be bumps along the way, but the work they put into the relationship made them appear so small. Again, such a good book!

amazing as always

River and her relationship I felt like definitely could of had more light shown there. I get it’s been a century but she was a child. I also just didn’t want the book to end so definitely was a “I want more” moment lol but LOVEDDDD 😍😍😍😍

I loved this book and laughed through most of it. I really enjoyed visiting this series and watching Ophelia deal with the prison we have heard about. Hilarious scenes, a light yet dark story that was entertaining. A perfect way to end the series. And the main characters love story was a hoot.

very Enjoyable

All of Lola Glass’s books are very enjoyable. I can’t wait to read her next book. I am going to have to go back and read the other books in this series that I missed. I am requesting the series as a whole be bundled into one book so I can buy it that way.

Had to finish this in one sitting! Lola has a way of pulling you into the world flawlessly. The characters are great and love Ophelia’s quirkiness alongside Darius. Although linked with the other fated mate bonds with cameos from the other books, it’s able to be read as a stand alone. It does help having the backstory but not necessary. I really do hope there is more to come from this series or just Lola glass in general as this book was consumed way too quickly!

I really enjoyed reading this book - so many delightful details!
Ophelia is badass but also vulnerable and endearing and I loved the playful banter between the MCs and the evolution of their relationship.
Although this is part of the Fated Mate Bonds series, it feels more stand alone than the previous books. I actually quite liked that as it gave a broader view of the world Lola has created.
