After years of paying her dues, Ava Sweet finally owns the taffy shop of her dreams. Her grandmother's signature taffy recipes are beginning to make a statement in Soho, NY, and with the help of her friend, Leanna Remington, she has her eyes set on the upcoming Big Apple Sweets Convention to put her shop on the map. The only problem, she's been accused of stealing a recipe by the hunky Boy Scout from the fudge and candy shop next door.
Hudson James is always ready and willing to lend a helping hand, especially at his family's fudge and candy shop. They're looking to showcase some new recipes at the upcoming sweets convention in the hopes of regaining the notoriety their shop has always been known for. Until the owner of the taffy shop next door creates a recipe so similar to theirs that Hudson doesn't hesitate to call her out on it.

In a world of sugary creations and high pressure candy making, adding a dash of romance isn't part of the recipe. With the sweets convention only a week away, Ava and Hudson will need to try and keep their eye on the prize, even while their hearts are being pulled by love.

This story is so sweet! Definitely a light read and well worth it! This is the first story by Amy that I have read, even though she's been on my tbr pile for quite awhile. After reading this story, that will be changing.

*Possible spoilers*

Ava Sweet is just an average girl next door who happens to own a new sweet shop in SOHO. Using tried and true recipes from her grandmother to make rich, creamy, and flavorful taffy has set her apart and residents are loving her products. All except the handsome boy scout of the neighborhood, who barges into their first meeting and accusing Ava of stealing their brand new recipe. Ava is taken back by not only his accusations but his handsome physique.

Hudson has never been one to be quite so brazen and ill tempered when meeting someone for the first time, yet he feels it is his right to defend his family. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself face to face with Ava who is all spunk and not backing down or fleeing from his accusations. Once the tensions begin to settle down, accusations cease to exist, there is something else burning and Hudson doesn't understand why or what his body is telling him.

Ava takes Hudson up on the offer of help once she has convinced him of her honesty thinking she wouldn’t mind spending more time with him. But will the timing of their meeting allow them both to explore what their heart desires or will it make everything a crazy, sticky mess?

A very well written book with a well laid plot and loveable characters. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.
This book is a quick read as it’s a novella and only 103 pages. It’s perfect for a beach read or a quick pick me up when you are feeling down.
Ava and Hudson are both career driven individuals. They have candy stores next door to each other. Their first meeting is not on the best of terms with Ava being accused of stealing a secret recipe from Hudson’s candy shop!
Ava and Hudson are drawn to each other in a way they can’t explain or stop. It’s not exactly the best timing for either to date. Love however does not always work at the best time. When it happens, it simply happens.
I loved reading this sweet (no pun intended) love story. I’d love to read more about Ava and Hudson and their love grows.

A fun, sweet confection of a read. Hudson and Ava strike sparks off each other from the first moment they meet. Each has a strong sense of family loyalty and overpowering sense of personality. Amy Manemann found the perfect recipe for Pulled By Love. Two hot temperamental characters, sugary sweets, sexual tension, chemistry with a strong mixture of romantic fun. Stir it all together and you have the perfect combination of a fantastic read. Received a copy of The Remingtons: Pulled by Love for an honest review.

Following in the tradition of Melissa Foster's books, Amy Manemann tells the story of Ava Sweet & Hudson James. Ava runs a taffy store & a conflict brings Hudson over from his fudge shoppe & makes him notice his neighbor. Ava brings the characters alive & makes you feel like you know them. For such a short story, there was an amazing amount of content & backstory. I really enjoyed this story.

I really enjoyed this love story about two competing candy stores!! With Ava just starting out with her taffy store, she moves in next door to Hudson's candy story!! With a local convention coming to town, these two are preparing to showcase their taffy. With misunderstandings and hurt feelings between them can they survive and make a go of it?? I read this in one sitting and was captivated by this couple!! Two people so different but also having amazing chemistry together!! Great first book in series!! Looking forward to the remaining stories to come!! Don't hesitate to one click this book!!

This book was a sweet and funny addition to the Kindle Worlds. I really enjoyed how we met Hudson - he comes storming in to Ava's shop and accuses Ava of stealing their recipe. It sets the stage for fun as two hard-headed, strong-willed people get to know each other. It was fun watching Ava and Hudson get to know each other. I did think that Ava's reaction to Hudson's "lie" was a bit out of proportion and that aspect of the story felt a bit manufactured to create turmoil in their relationship. The circumstances weren't quite as cut-and-dry as she was making them out to be. I am just glad that Hudson is as stubborn enough to see through her bluster and stick it out until he shows Ava that he isn't like she thinks. In this book, Leanna Remington is friends with Ava. The author includes a funny scene where Hudson's friend found about his escapades from a sister of a cousin of a friend talked to so-and-so and there was Leanna and Siena, right in the middle! It was a funny little "six degrees of separation" from the Remingtons. We also check in with Kurt and Leanna at the sweets convention that served as the primary issue of contention between Ava and Hudson. In true Kurt and Leanna fashion, Kurt is humbly trying to fend off fans at an event intended for Leanna. It was fun to check in with Kurt and Leanna.

Pulled by Love is Amy Manemann’s contribution to The Remington’s series. I have to say that it is the perfect beach read. It is fast paced and I highly recommend it as I read it in one sitting. From the opening pages I was drawn into the characters. I immediately fell in love with Ava Sweet who has the perfect last name for the type of business she owns. I love Ava’s strong sense of family and how she has maintained her grandmother’s taffy recipes, but has also experimented on her own to create her own take on her specialties. Hudson is expected to take over his family’s business. His parents have high expectations of him and he doesn’t want to let them down, so when his mother thinks one of her recipes has been compromised he does what his parents expect: take on the sweet shop next door. I love Ava’s and Hudson first scenes together - the boy next door taking on sweet maker. Ms. Manemann brought these two characters together in the only way possible: making sweets together. Ava and Hudson’s instant attraction was perfect especially with how the couple met. I loved their interaction and especially how he dealt with his mother. Pulled by Love is the perfect title for this book. I’d like to disclose that I received a copy of Pulled by Love in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Amy Manemann. It won't be my last! I was pulled in right from the start. Ava recently opened a taffy shop. She's noticed the "boy scout" next door, Hudson, but never met him until he comes barging in her shop, accusing her of stealing his family's recipe. Hudson is surprised when Ava calmly makes him wait. He wants to see her proof that she's innocent, yet he's intrigued that she had the nerve to make him wait. That's the start of his desire to spend time with Ava. They work together on Ava's taffy recipes. But is taffy the only thing in the making? A sweet read, and I loved this book!

This is a nice sweet read about Ava who is just starting her taffy shop and is trying to concoct new flavors for the Sweets Convention when she is accused of stealing a neighbouring businesses flavour. Hudson is the son of the owners of Fudge Nuggets and confronts Ava about the stolen recipe. It's the start of something between Hudson and Ava but will business get in the way of something more?

It's a short novella that can be read in a couple of hours. It's a feel good read that will leaving you with a smile on your faces and a taste for taffy!

Ava is just as sweet as the taffy she makes unless she's crossed, then you'll see sparks fly. And sparks fly when she meets Hudson - despite their best attempts to stay away from each other. A short read that pulls you in until you've finished it.
