Aria The Reborn
The tragedy is that I died, faked a death, and fled from a life that barely existed. I buried my name, abandoned everything I had ever known, and taught myself that surviving was enough, and it was all I had to do. But I guess fate had other plans, because I met Cassian Vanderhart. A stranger who offered me a job I couldn’t refuse... and, without either of us realizing it, a life I could no longer run from.
His little girl slowly became my heart the very sunshine in my storm. His family became the home I never knew I longed for, and somewhere between his patience, his impossible kindness, and the way he loved me without asking for pieces of myself I wasn't ready to give, I forgot what it felt like to be afraid
But the dead don't stay buried forever when the past comes looking for me it won't just find a woman who disappeared he will find a sconed woman who met healing and will give her life to protect the people she loves.

Cassian The Lawyer
She was a stranger alone at a bar, soaked from the rain with eyes filled with everything broken. Who knew one job will change the course of my life, turning the stranger into the center of my world.
But when her past finally comes knocking on my door, it will learn one thing very quickly; she may have walked into my life as a stranger, but now she was the woman no one will be taking away from me. Not now... not fucking ever.

Cassian Vanderhart, I clearly have a weakness for men who fall hard and aren’t afraid to show it. His yearning for Aria was honestly one of my favourite things about this book. But let’s start with how these two even met.

Aria is running away from a past she desperately wants to leave behind when she unexpectedly finds herself working as a nanny for Cassian’s little girl, Belle. What follows is a story of found family, healing, secrets and love. I liked the overall storyline, but I did struggle with the writing in a few places. Some of the monologues went on for far too long, and the detailed descriptions occasionally made the pacing drag. The plot itself felt a little familiar, but there were still plenty of moments I enjoyed.

Now, Cassian! I absolutely loved watching him fall for Aria. The way his feelings grew as she slowly became part of his and Belle’s lives was so lovely to read. He was patient, affectionate and incredibly devoted to her. What I particularly liked was how he never made her feel like she had to rush into anything or give him more than she was ready for. He understood that she had been through a lot, and he gave her the space to figure things out while still making it clear how much he wanted her. He didn’t just fall for her; he made her feel wanted and loved. And honestly, I could have read so much more of him yearning for her. I have a soft spot for a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it!

Of course, Cassian wasn’t perfect. Considering his suspicions about Aria, I expected him to look into her background a little more, especially given his profession. I also found it difficult to understand how his attention sometimes seemed to shift away from Belle when Aria was around, particularly during Belle’s hospitalisation. And while I loved how much he adored Aria, I did think he forgave her far too easily.

Aria was a different story for me. I found her quite difficult to relate to, even though I understood that she had been through a lot. I wish we had explored more of her past and actually seen her healing journey rather than having her seemingly recover without much development. Keeping her secrets while becoming such an important part of Belle’s life also didn’t sit right with me. I was particularly frustrated when she had the opportunity to tell Cassian the truth but didn’t take it. And leaving him when she did? No. I really thought she needed to grovel a lot harder before he forgave her. Her character had potential, but I wanted more from her.

The family, though? Absolutely loved them! All the brothers, especially Nik, were hilarious, and Belle was such a sweetheart. The group chats were probably some of my favourite parts because they genuinely made me laugh. I loved the way the family showed up for one another, especially when things got difficult. The scenes where everyone came together when Belle was sick and kidnapped were particularly memorable. Honestly, I wouldn’t have complained about getting more of their interactions because the family dynamics were so much fun to read.

All in all, I enjoyed the found family, the sibling banter and, of course, Cassian being completely gone for Aria. I did have my issues with the pacing, some character inconsistencies and Aria’s development, but Cassian’s yearning definitely made this book more enjoyable for me. If you love protective single dads, found family, a heroine finding a place to belong and an MMC who falls hard and makes absolutely no secret of how much he wants his woman, give this one a try! 💗

This is Cassian and Aria’s story. They met under the most bizarre circumstances as strangers after which living together in close quarters brought them together despite all the secrets in their past. The monologues were a little too long in quite a few places that made me lose the plot at times. Also, detailed explanations of things like how much it was raining made me lose interest. The story is good although not unheard of but the writing because of the above mentioned reasons made it a little hard to stay focused. Also, at times the characters didn’t seem too consistent and acted out of character.

Cassian was a well sketched out character who fell in love instantly. The scenes where he was more concerned with Aria when Belle was hospitalised was a little hard to connect to. Also found it strange that he didn’t investigate Aria’s background considering he had his suspicions and dealt with similar cases all day. He adored his daughter but at times it was hard to see that when Aria was around. Loved the rapport he shared with his brothers and parents. Wouldn’t have minded to read more about those instead of acting like a love struck teenager at times. It was nice to read about a caring man who puts everyone first though.

Aria was very very hard to relate to. Hiding her secret inspite of being a nanny to Belle was unthinkable. There was hardly any healing arc for her in this story. It looked like she just recovered without any help which is hard to believe. Also felt like her backstory wasn’t explained or explored well. She seemed to have a hard time understanding things especially since she stayed with Cassian and Belle and brought trouble to their doorstep and then left when everything was fine. I was annoyed when she didn’t tell her side of the story to Cassian after she received a delivery. That would have been the right time to confess. Also, leaving Cassian when she did was a shitty move. She should have grovelled harder. He forgave her too easily.

All the brothers especially Nik and Belle were a riot. The group chats were hilarious and totally relatable. Loved the scene where the brothers came in to help Cassian when Belle was sick and kidnapped. I loved this book for the family dynamics. That part was very well written.

This book was so powerful. Lilian did an amazing job with the storytelling. You got to experience Arias pain and fears right along with her. You get to feel those emotions while reading.

Aria is running from a horrible past that she would rather stay in the past. She’s trying to find a place where she can just be. Where she can finally be free and safe and loved. She may not know it yet, but that’s going to come in the form of a dad and his little girl. As soon as we meet Cassians daughter, you can just tell that her and Aria are going to be best friends. That they are what each other needed in life, even if Belle is only 5.

Aria has been through a lot in her life. She has been made to believe she’s not worthy of love. That she is nothing and useless. She expects people to have an ulterior motive. You could feel her struggles and the hurt she’s gone through. You can see how she’s always been in survival mode, even when she was younger. But since she’s moved in and became a nanny, she has started to become herself again. She’s laughing more, is making friends, becoming less afraid and starting to fell things for a man again.
Cassian is the biggest sweetheart there is. He saw this sad and angry woman and knew she needed help. He gave her a safe place to land. He became her anchor. He knew she had secrets she wasn’t ready to share yet, but he still fell for her anyway.
Things were going well and that is unfortunately when things go bad. The last bit of the book was hard to read. Aria finally got her voice back and was able to stand up and fight against her ex, which was amazing, but her past almost cost herself her future. There’s a point near the end where Cassian is relating his problems to a part in Beauty and the Beast. I loved how Lilian made that connection. It gives you a clearer picture on what’s going through is mind and the emotions he’s feeling.
Everything works out in the end and Aria finally gets the happily ever after she so rightfully deserves.

I really wanted to love Sin of Greed, but unfortunately, this one wasn’t the right fit for me.

I struggled to connect with Aria. While her history involves significant trauma, I needed more exploration of her healing and growth to feel invested in her journey. Her backstory remained unclear for much of what I read, and the details revealed didn’t always feel meaningfully integrated into her characterization.

Cassian was easier to connect with, and I appreciated his kindness and gentleness toward her. However, his feelings developed before I felt they truly knew each other. Their relationship read more as physical attraction than the deeper emotional connection the story seemed to present.

The introduction of BDSM elements was ultimately where the story lost me. Given Aria’s history of severe physical abuse, I needed more development around trust, communication, and her emotional readiness for those dynamics to feel convincing. As written, that shift left me uncomfortable.

Although I read nearly three quarters of the book, I chose to stop. Other readers may have a different experience, but I needed more emotional grounding and a clearer healing journey to connect with this romance.

First of all, thank you so much to the author for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Sin of Greed’ in advance as an ARC! I’m so grateful when authors trust readers with their stories before release!

When I started the book, I was completely hooked. I loved the pace, the mystery behind the FMC, but also the love at first sight by the MMC.

In the beginning you read a little bit about the backstory of Aria. Who is she? What has she endured? Every time there are little hints.
This is the same for Cassian.

Unfortunately in the middle I thought the storyline was sooo slow. There was so much happening, that wasn’t an addition to the story. I think we could’ve skipped at least 15 chapters and it still would be a complete story. In the end there was a little action, but honestly, I lost my interest a little 🫣. Also the way the FMC tells about her past, felt too small for the structure the author made beforehand.

I had such high hopes for this one! But in the end, it just wasn’t for me.

I loved it!
An absolute emotional rollercoaster, heart wrenching, but also heartwarming story of a girl trying to survive and a guy who gave her the chance.
I enjoyed how Cassian knew instantly, this is my girl. He was sweet, patient, kind, the ultimate book boyfriend
I mean.. he bought out an ENTIRE opera show and had them wear brown because it was the color of her eyes… BEFORE THEY WERE TOGETHER.
Aria; while sometimes annoyed me with lack of communication, that’s also a normal mindset for someone who survived what she did.. that said, I loved her too. I enjoyed her journey as she escaped, survived, slowly began to heal… while she did revert to old ways she eventually got better.. Her journey from beginning to end, broken to healing was one I’d gladly read again!!
Also.. the spice!!
While I’m not huge on reading it, I think it didn’t overpower the plot and story itself but added in intimate moments for the couple.
If you enjoy

This is a book you may enjoy!

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this arc!
A woman running away from a dangerous situation had me hooked to find out more. Aria struggled with herself always being the problem until a stranger decided to let her stay with him for the night. Cassian is a lawyer who tries to help everyone but for some reason he let Aria into his life and personal details. Their love story and banter made me fall in love with them as characters. Even Cassian’s family welcomed her with open arms despite all the challenges it brought to them. A home where she can finally breathe and be herself.. but will it all come crashing down when her past demon comes to haunt her? Will Aria revert to the old version of herself or stick with the version Cassian proved to her she is and always will be? Aria’s strength and courage in this story was amazing to see unfold.

What do you expect me to say?
I was a broken mess, I was emotional, I literally was a complete mess by the time I finished this book! The plot wasn't unexpected though it carried enough much weight and a wholesome storyline and one heck of an introduction to the series! My favourite Vanderhart being Belle, cause she's cute and a cupid in the making🤭🤭 she was very smart for her age and know how to handle herself! I know the main focus was Aria and Cassian but personally I believe that Belle was an important character who carried the book as the main character waddle through their life
