COMING SOON Stay With Me (Westbury Ranch Series, Book 2)...June 1 (Shayne & Juston)
2.5 star rating......This had the possibilities of being a really good read, the story-line was interesting enough due to the fact that the woman (Cullen) owned the ranch and not man (Graeme)....but IMHO the chemistry between the two was lukewarm at the least and don't get me started on the interaction with the ex-boyfriend who was trying to win her back , Cullen talked about how much she truly loved him at one point and time but you never really felt that from the story or that she really loved Graeme....There was little to no excitement to keep me wanting to turn the pages....but all in all I know I will read the stories on the other two sisters because I'm curious to know what happens with Shayne and Paige.
Cullen Westbury managed to turn her family ranch around after the death of her father. She had plans for the ranch and needed to hire a foreman to take it further. When she hired Graeme Burton, she knew they had a lot in common, not only their common interest in the ranching but also their attraction for one another. But Cullen could not let a relationship get in the way of her plans for her ranch. She was already reeling from her heartbreak with her neighboring rancher Max Hayes. Little did she know, Max had underhanded plans all along and was mad he'd gotten caught cheating.
Graeme knew he had to take things slow with Cullen. He already won her mother Jackie's approval for him to pursue her. He had to be patient and not push her. His plan worked, even though Cullen had her doubts, she knew he was a good man and was not going to let him leave.
Roxy wrote a sweet quick easy read love story with a little bit of excitement. If you like easy read love stories, this is one for you.
The storyline had potential... But it didn't deliver. This felt like a bad erotic story, featuring horse lovers. There was no apparent chemistry between the hero and heroine apart from what the author tried to tell us. Most of the conflict in the story was unnecessary, like how she tried to show a scene where Graeme got jealous of Cullen talking to another man, don't get me started on the ex-boyfriend who shows up out of nowhere, and apparently has no life other than Cullen and his half-hearted 'attempts' to win her back.
The only interesting thing here was the interracial relationship, and the story occuring on a ranch.

Just Gettin' Started is the first installment in the Westbury Ranch Series and it has set this new series off with a bang! Cullen and Graeme (love the names) are almost too good to be true as a couple. Cullen runs the Westbury Ranch after the death of her father and Graeme is a rancher looking for new employment after the loss of both parents. What i enjoyed most about this story is that Ms. Wilson included enough intrigue, romantic and otherwise, to keep me reading. I read this book in one sitting on a short plane ride. I am waiting anxiously for the next installment about Shayne.
This is a story about giving love a second chance. Cullen has been hurt by love and has tried to stay away from relationships and bury herself in her work. Graeme is a man who is looking for a new job and winds up falling in love with the boss. Then you add a ex in the mix and you have alot drama. Nice story and quick read.
I enjoyed the story. I just wish that maybe the interracial part would've been a little more evident. I like a story where the H is sure of his feelings. He was the kind of man that every cowgirl wants.
This was one the most fun and relaxing stories that I've read in such a long time. The chemistry was excellent and so spot on.This was a nice way to spend time, can't wait for the next installment.
