Emma Fox thought the biggest challenge of her freshman year would be surviving Westcroft University's prestigious piano program—or dodging her over-involved mother's calls.
She never expected a stalker.
Especially not one who's tall, dark, tattooed… and annoyingly consistent about only showing up when her boyfriend isn't around.
Coincidence? She thinks not.
Unfortunately, Emma's boyfriend is a busy man. Noah Kincaid seems to have more secrets than he does fancy pens, and some of his green flags are turning red. Private phone calls, hidden friends, and weekend trips keep pulling him away. Not what a girlfriend loves to hear.
When Noah's secrets finally catch up to him, Emma's left with nothing but questions and lukewarm coffee.
Naturally, she does what any reasonable, totally-not-freaking-out girlfriend would do when her boyfriend vanishes: She goes looking for answers.
Starting with the friends Noah never wanted her to meet.
The Stalker Snafu is the second book in The Duet Diaries, a New Adult Slow Build Why Choose series featuring found family, a quirky-and-lovable FMC, and almost as many waffles as cups of coffee.
So let me preface this by saying I’m OBSESSED with this series and read it all as fast as I could back when it cost money per episode on Vella. I waited for so long for the next part back then. I mean it when I say I love this series so much it’s one of the few things I ever had an alert for, it is unique and witty and the combination of humor and suspense and romance is masterful. So to see that this was posted made me so excited. Just to find out this was the same cliffhanger they never ever continued the series after again, when Maggie had said it would be continued only to stop updating entirely with no mention further mention of what we could expect or explanation for us readers.
So as you can tell I’m still really upset by the fact that the author dropped the series entirely after ending it on such a cliff hanger and now reposted that same work of a series I’m not sure they ever intend to finish. They went on to work only on the newer series they made and seemingly forgot about all the fans that paid and waited. So I seriously hope that the author didn’t just post this as a book to disappoint a new wave of readers if they still don’t plan on continuing the story years later because that’d be cruel all over again. Don’t get people into a story if you don’t want to finish it or at least don’t republish it again just to not finish it.
It’s one of the reasons I stopped using Vella or reading books until a full series was complete unless I truly trusted the author because why invest in something they can stop at any moment ? ?
So im REALLY hopeful the author wouldn’t be republishing this ( esp since the series season finale episode ends on such a huge cliff hanger ) if they had no intention of continuing the story still. Therefore im going to be wary but still hopeful. I’d absolutely LOVE for the author to continue this series. It’s one of my favorites of all time and I read A LOT so that’s saying something. Please bring this back with our favorite loves it is too incredible to leave like this. At least give us some closure please.
Oh my God, this book was so good. I had to go back and reread the first book because it had been a long time since I had read it, and I liked it even more the second time which really proves how amazing of an author Maggie Evans is. I could not love Emma anymore if I tried. The series is getting so good and getting to know the other guys better just makes me ache for the next book. I cannot wait for the series to continue as it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites.
I read part of this when it was on kindle Vella. I look forward to Maggie getting it published as the second book of this series. I adore Emma. Made me fall in love with the characters and storyline all over again this second read. Look forward to the next book! Hope it doesn’t take too long. 😏😁❤️
It picked up great from the first book! I like the characters and the storyline! I'm excited for the next book to come out! Such a good start to a series!
