Stepbrother Dearest: No Secrets: Part 1 & 2

Rate this book
Part 1 - Cassie...

I threw away my pride and wiped away my tears as he held me in his arms. His confessions of him wanting me for life sealed our love. Now, we are together it is far from a happy ever after. I'm not sure if I can bear it anymore.

Why does the media think that they have the right to decide if our relationship is wrong or right?
Why do the kids treat my son as if he has a disease?

It's got to stop one way or another. We are human after all, so why does everyone treat us like animals?

Part 2 - Erik....

I have never known a woman to be so stubborn. How many times will she insist on running away? First when we were kids, then as adults, and finally after marriage. I’ve tried so hard to make her see how much I love her. Maybe it is not enough and I am the one who needs to face reality and set her free. I wish it was that easy, setting her free once was hard enough. I’m not sure I could do it again. I’m not sure I know how.

The crowd cheered when I said that we had split up. Imagine, I made thousands of people happy by pretending to split up with my wife. Then, it happened — the one thing that brought it all home. I saw my son, Elliot’s, face again. I nearly missed out on seeing my unborn child. Maybe we need to reach a compromise. One which will mean no secrets anymore.

Cassie seemed to make rash decisions that affected many people, and not always for the best. She made choices that affected Erik and her children's futures without discussing it with her husband. When he makes his decision of how to move on with his life, will Cassie ever understand? Will they ever be a family again?

It was a good read. Several things that should have been caught during proof reading made it a little difficult to follow at one point, but overall I enjoyed the story.

Great read

I loved that this nosey had all the things I love. It made me smile cry and want to slap certain people. Remember they are not blood related. The author did a wonderful job with this book. Would recommend it to all that like suspense and romance.
