குட்டி நண்பர்களே,
நான் உங்களைப் போலவே சிறுவயதில் கதைகளைக் கேட்டு வளர்ந்தவன். என் தாத்தா மடியில் அமர்ந்து அவர் சொன்ன குட்டிக்குட்டி ராமாயண, மகாபாரதக் கதைகளைக் கேட்டபோதெல்லாம், நான் ஏதோ ஒரு கற்பனை உலகில் அந்தக் கதாபாத்திரங்களுடன் சாகசப் பயணம் செய்வது போலவே இருக்கும். பின்னர், என் தந்தை சொன்ன ஆழ்வார் ஆசாரியர்களின் கதைகள் எனக்குள் பெரும் வியப்பை ஏற்படுத்தின. அவை வெறும் கதைகள் மட்டுமல்ல. நம் மனதிற்குள் ஆன்மீகத்தையும், நல்ல அறநெறிகளையும் பதிய வைக்கக் கூடியவை.அதேபோன்ற ஒரு அனுபவத்தை உங்களுக்கும் தர வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசையில் உருவானதுதான் இந்த 'குட்டிப் பெண்ணின் குட்டிக் கதைகள்'.

Beautifully written! The way each story connects like a chain is very good.
The book is based on the work called Thirukkolur Penn Pillai Ragasiyam, a verse consisting of 81 lines. Revered by Vaishnavites for its deep meaning and the virtues associated with it.
The author has taken the liberty of using his imagination to stitch the stories beautifully together that kindles the interests of children to read and research more.
Sri Ramanujar, a Vaishnava Guru, who is revered and adorned with many names like Udaiyavar, Emperumaan etc. He was a reformative Guru for many. Thirukkolur Penn Pillai Ragasiyam is a dialogue between Sri Ramanujar and a young girl who plans to leave the place while Ramanujar visits the place to worship the Perumal. He see this girl leaving and asks her why she is leaving this holy place. There starts the dialogue which amazes Sri Ramanujar and his disciples at the depth of the knowledge the young girl. The beauty is the girl has not see Sri Ramanujar before, but has huge respect for him and treats herself as his disciple. The fact that she has been having the dialogue with Sri Ramanujar himself is revealed only at the end.
The author has beautifully written the stories associated with the lines of the verse and how the conversation goes. The book is printed in colour with drawings depicted the crux of each story. Each story is very well interconnected that it forms like a chain from the start till the end. It is primarily targeted for children for them to learn the values of the Hindu (Sanatan) Dharma, but it is also for the elderly too!
The real version of Thirukkolur Penn Pillai Ragasiyam, based on the Guru Paramparai, has just the 81 lines. The young girl portrayed in this book is actually a lady who is a staunch disciple of Sri Ramanujar and she is well aware of who Sri Ramanujar is.
Definitely a must have for those who are exploring the depths of Hinduism and its culture!
