Olive finally discovers the one thing she never expected to want: Mars.

Unfortunately, falling for your soulmate becomes incredibly inconvenient when he suddenly has a ridiculously perfect new girlfriend. Now Olive has one simple goal: get over him, focus on graduating, and find her way home.

Easy, right?

Absolutely not.

Semester two brings a whole new set of challenges, and the universe clearly isn’t finished messing with Olive. She has a plan, Mars has absolutely terrible timing, and The Dorm seems determined to throw even more emotional chaos into the mix.

What I loved most about this story is the slow-burn tension between Olive and Mars. Their relationship is complicated enough already, but once Olive can no longer ignore her feelings, every interaction feels loaded with emotion. The longing, frustration, chemistry, and uncertainty make their journey incredibly addictive.

The magical-school setting also continues to add something special to the story. The Dorm isn’t just a backdrop—it feels like a character in its own right, constantly pushing the students to grow, confront difficult truths, and learn lessons they probably aren’t ready for.

And of course, the found-family element brings plenty of warmth to balance out the romantic angst and supernatural drama. Beneath all the chaos, there’s a strong emotional core about friendship, belonging, growth, and figuring out what you truly want.

Olive is determined to stick to her plan, Mars is determined to make everything more complicated, and the universe clearly has its own agenda.

If you love magical schools, enemies-to-lovers, soulmate bonds, painfully good slow-burn romance, and found family, The Dorm: Semester Two is a fun, emotional continuation that will keep you invested until the very end.

Sometimes the biggest plot twist isn’t falling in love.

It’s realizing you can’t run from it. 💫❤️

"Ill see you again, my love." 😭😭😭😭

Omg my heart, i needed some time to process my thoughts before putting this review. This ending felt almost bittersweet.
I finished Soul Dorm a few days ago and i wanted to start Soul Dorm ll straight away but i was scared and I'm not afraid to admit that i put it off for a few days before picking it up because i knew it would break me and my god it did.

I made notes as i was reading it because i knew my head would be all over the place and even just looking at the notes now, it's getting me emotional.
I love this world and all the characters in it, i didnt feel like anyone was a side character and each had their own moment and story.

The story basically picks up from when the first one ended and my heart broke for Olive and the pain she was going through, i was a little angry at Mars, even if i was rooting for them to just hurry up and get together! The tension between these two was intense and that spin the bottle scene! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to kiss!
The push and pull between them was brilliantly written and made you just want to knock their heads together and make them realise they are meant for each other 😂😭.

Now each of these characters pulled at my heartstrings so much. Each of their tapes was a hard read but im glad it was there so we could learn more about them and their backstory. Lark, Helene, Diego, Blue, Ursa and Tarben are such tragically beautiful characters and im so happy they had a part of this story.

I will say i felt so bad for Tarben, poor guy couldn't catch a break with Olive and even though he knew he had no chance, he was still there for her always.
"I'm angry at him for not holding your hand sooner" This line alone just shows how much of a sweetheart Tarben is and when he said this, i just wanted to give him a hug 😞.

Now the Banter between Blue and Mars had me giggling and smiling, loving the friendship between them 💙.

I screamed when Mars finally asked Olive to be his girlfriend! Like finally!! But i was so happy. "No one touches my girl" AHHHHHHHH i love Mars! And then ofc the ex comes back to ruin it when things just get good but im glad that problem wasn't dragged out and kinda helped clear up a part of Olives backstory so she could move on.

And then the leaving party for Helene followed by Larks envelope, i was sobbing and then Mars death tape and him leaving, i thought i couldn't take anymore but then the friend group slowly got their envelopes and then my poor baby Tarben 😭😭, i hope he's happy wherever he is 💔.

When i say the ending was bittersweet, i loved how it ended and how they met again after death was beautiful but it still hurt because i just wanted all my babies together happy. It's a crime this book hasn't blew up everywhere. Hopefully more people will give this a chance and realise what a beautiful story the author has written.

Thank you Ezgi for ripping my heart out but for also bringing me so much joy with this beautiful story 💔😭🩷.

I can honestly say that this duology has exceeded my expectations. I absolutely adored these 2 books, so much so that I gave them both a 5⭐️ rating. The books are an afterlife romance with a pink and purple aesthetic. Soul dorm has popular tropes such as enemies to lovers, forced proximity, soulmates and to top it all off there are animal companions. Who doesn’t love a furry friend?

The writing style and descriptions of the characters and places was so easy to follow. It’s not hard to fall in love with these characters and get so involved in their lives and decisions. The plot of these books is so unique and immersive with the perfect mix of emotions. I balled my eyes out at the ending of Soul Dorm II because it was so moving. All the characters got to choose their own path forward, whether that was getting a second chance at life or deciding to move on. It proved that every road leads somewhere and that everything happens for a reason!

I ended up loving Mars as a character. It took a while to get through his annoying behaviour but once you hear his story, you realise why he was so opposed to love. It was nice getting to see the growth in the relationship throughout the book and of course the happy ending for Mars and Olive.

This duology is a must! I’d like to thank Ezgi ERO for the pleasure of an ARC copy. I will be keeping an eye out for more works by this author.

“Okay,” she said at last. “Until sunset.”

General thoughts:
Let me start off by saying I didn’t know this was a duology. But it makes sense. This story was incredibly beautiful. It was dreamy and emotional and uplifting. I feel as though I’ve been on a journey throughout. A journey filled with purple and pink fluffy clouds. It was so sweet. And yet it was also so very emotional. Seeing souls be inspired by Olive, seeing them choose whatever path they may go to next; it was all so genuine heartwarming. I don’t want to spoil anything at all in this review so I’m hesitant to write much more here. Most of these next bits likely won’t change from my review of book 1, as they were applicable throughout both books💖

TLDR:
A pink and purple dreamscape filled with uplifting stories and struggles.

What I liked:
🥛The whole concept is something I haven’t seen before and is just so fun.
🥛I don’t know if everyone automatically sees them, but the visual companion is amazing! The second one is even more so. I love the whole vibe of it.
🥛The characters are fantastic, they have a lot of depth. I loved seeing their souls choose their own paths forward.
🥛I loved the companions. They’re all so fun, and I enjoyed getting to see Luck and Trouble a bit more.
🥛The way that Olive’s emotions and confusion feels so honest is lovely. I felt her emotions so strongly.

What I struggled with/didn’t really like:
🥛The entire thing was perfect for me so I have nothing to write here.

Favourite character/s:
Olive, basically all of Olive’s friends but especially Diego and Ursa, and Blue. Mars and Tarben also.

Who this is for/recommendations:
💖Anyone who wants a really fun YA duology to read
💜Anyone who wants the emotional torment of young adults but softened with the prettiest colours and dreamy settings.
💖Anyone who would immediately want to scream if they were told they had to live in a dorm full of their peers when they were at school.
💜Anyone who wants a FMC who doesn’t always know what she wants, but she will fight for it anyway.
💖Anyone who wants a FMC so stubborn she can defy anything that attempts to stop her from getting what she wants.

Minority/inclusion:
BIPOC characters, queer characters.

I have spent the past two days doing nothing except reading this duology. I really couldn’t put it down. I am so very grateful to have been given early access to Soul Dorm book 2, and to have discovered a new favourite YA world. All opinions shared are entirely my own💜

I was lucky enough to receive this as an arc in return of an honest review.

Book 2 of the Soul Dorm duology did not disappoint! This book was filled to the brim with school drama, emotions, twists and turns that had me shouting at the pages.

We continue to follow Olive on her journey through the afterlife school at the Dorm, where the pupils are taught that fate doesn’t care what you want, it already has a path set out for you. But are you ready to live it?

Soul Dorm is an academy like no other, where students face tests and learn life skills to determine whether they will earn a second chance at life or whether their souls will move on to their final destination.

This story was packed with love, hope, disappointment, fear, hurt, passion, determination and resilience. There were so many emotional moments, and I found myself completely invested in the characters and their journeys.

I have loved every second of this duology. The characters truly come alive on the pages, and their emotions, struggles and turmoil are felt throughout the story. The twists kept me guessing, and just when I thought I knew what was coming, the story surprised me again!

If you’re looking for a YA romantasy that feels completely different from anything you’ve read before, I highly recommend giving the Soul Dorm duology a try. It’s unique, emotional and surprisingly relatable in so many ways.

A brilliant conclusion to a duology I have thoroughly enjoyed! 💕📚✨

I loved the first Soul Dorm, but this second book took everything I already loved about this world and made it deeper, more emotional, and somehow even harder to put down.

And the craziest part? This is NOT the kind of book that would normally have me this obsessed. I’m a dark romance reader. Give me morally black men, obsession, danger and spice and I’m happy.

This book didn’t need any of that to completely consume me.

I could. Not. Stop. Reading.

I read it in two days, in a language that isn’t even my native language. That alone should tell you what this book did to me.

One of my favorite things about Soul Dorm II was getting to know more about the journeys of the other souls.

They stopped feeling like characters simply sharing the same strange afterlife and became people with their own stories, fears, regrets, relationships and reasons for being there. I became invested not only in Olive’s journey, but in theirs too.

And that made the whole idea behind Soul Dorm hit so much harder.

Because underneath the romance, the mystery and everything happening in this strange place between life and death, there are so many little reflections about fear, love, regret, friendship, letting go, choosing to live and what it actually means to have a soulmate.

Some of them genuinely made me stop reading for a moment and just think.

And Mars and Olive…

I’m saying NOTHING.

If you read the first book, just continue. Experience it yourself. 😂

The last part of this book had me completely glued to the pages. I had theories, changed those theories, questioned everything and eventually stopped trying to predict anything at all.

And the ending…

Goosebumps. Actual goosebumps.

It made me look back at the entire journey differently. Tiny things suddenly carried so much more meaning, and when I reached THE END, I genuinely wasn’t ready to leave this world.

Ezgi ERO somehow made a dark romance reader lose her mind over an afterlife slow-burn romance.

And considering how impatient I normally am with slow burns, that might actually be one of her greatest achievements. 😂

I finished Soul Dorm II feeling like I didn’t just get to know these characters.

I went on this journey with them.

And I’m going to miss them terribly.

This is such a beautiful story! I am a little broken, in the best possible way after reading these books!

The world is magical, I love the characters and the whole thing was emotional, and so lovely!

I wasn’t sure about the first book, I felt like there was something missing. But now I know it was missing this book!

The first book sets the scene, so you know the characters and the world, ready to dive straight into a rollercoaster of adventure in this book! So much happened in this one; there was adventure, challenges, love, loss - it was so so beautiful!

The ending broke my heart and put it back together again!

I really enjoyed the second book!

Olive, she cried a lot in this one. That was slightly annoying at times, yet also justified.

First love, dealing with being stuck in limbo and nearly dying quite a few times can really mess with a girls emotions.

Absolutely loved seeing Mars growth in this second book.

The slow burn romance was worth it in the end.

Come to love this little du lulu world and all its pink trees.

I read this second one in less than 24 hours, lovely easy read. Great writing and very enjoyable story line.

If I hadn’t had both books sent to me in the ARC then I would have cried! I snapped straight to book two and I kid you not…I devoured both books within 24 hours. I think I slept a total of 3 hours and luckily we were over my parents house for a little family time because my kids would have starved.

Nothing else existed while I was reading these books. The whole reason we read books is to escape and my goodness did I escape.

Tears were shed…

Hearts were broken and then sewn back together again.

Now I don’t know what to do with myself.

Where do I go from here? Send help!

After finishing the first book, I couldn't wait to dive into the second one. Oh boy, I was not ready for the emotional whirlwind that followed everything happening for Olive, Mars and everyone else. What a story! I love it and devoured the book in just a couple of days. Cannot wait to see what books come next!

ARC review;

What a book! It stirred up so many emotions: joy, of course, but also a lot of frustration and sadness. As the story progressed, more questions were answered, though there was also a plot twist that really irritated me. It certainly added to the suspense, though.
By the end, pretty much all my questions had been answered, and we got a bit more background information on each character. I absolutely loved that.
I was somewhat surprised by how the final few chapters unfolded, but I thought the actual ending was beautiful.

Once again this book is brilliantly written! That’s why I’m giving it 5 stars, even though I was starting to get a little tired of the 'boy drama,' haha.

If you love a slow-burn romance, enjoy getting to know characters gradually, and appreciate stories about second chances—with the occasional surprising twist—then this book is definitely for you!

Holy shit! This book destroyed me.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟♾️ Infinity stars.

Search no further for an amazing afterlife academy SLOWBURN romance!!

I can't believe how beautiful this story is. It is truly amazing. It is so devestating with how emotional and how REAL this story is. How much trauma we have to deal with. I cried so many times.

This book is not only about the main characters but all the amazing side characters. I totally felt their importance in the story. If I could give an award, this book deserves one for a crazy well done Found Family trope. Absolutely stunning. How we got to get to known everyone's personal story on its own time was magnificent. They were all a piece of a beautiful puzzle.

This book is one of my favorites I have ever read so far.

It was such a unique concept. It had fun and crazy plottwists. The humor was epic, the emotions were incredible. I truly am speechless. I learned so much from this book. Some scenes were a life altering experience. I will take this story with me through life. Absolutely stunning.

Thank you for letting me ARC read this!

I Got My Answers… and a Personal Vendetta Against Olive’s Ex 😂

After finishing Soul Dorm 1 on THAT cliffhanger, there was absolutely no way I wasn't immediately reading Soul Dorm 2. I needed answers 😂

I definitely enjoyed this one even more than the first. I was already attached to the characters going into it, so everything that happened just hit that little bit harder. There were parts where I was stressed, parts where I was questioning EVERYTHING, and moments where I genuinely just sat staring at my Kindle thinking… excuse me?!

And can we talk about Olive's ex for a second?! What an absolute C U next Tuesday. Every time he appeared, my dislike for that man somehow found a whole new level. 😂

One thing I really loved was everyone getting their letters, whether they were black or white. To me, it wasn't just about which letter they received — it felt like a sign that they were all finally moving forward in their own way. After everything they'd been through, there was something really satisfying and emotional about seeing each of them reach that point.

I absolutely flew through this book. Every time I told myself I'd just read a couple more chapters, something happened that made putting it down impossible.

I don't know if we'll ever get a Soul Dorm 3, but I'd genuinely love to spend more time in this world and with these characters.

⭐️ 5/5 — I got my answers, got far too emotionally attached, and gained a very personal vendetta against Olive's ex. 😂

✨This is my honest ARC review✨

”Who knew death could be harder than life?”

I never want to leave the pink world that is Soul Dorm. Or say goodbye to these lovely characters, that almost feels like they are my friends. That’s how well written these books are.

For me, it’s so unique and fun. I never wanted to put it down.

And the writing? Amazing!
Characters? Love them!
The dorm? Really cool!
The void? No, thank you. Sounds scary.
The Wolves? I’m good, I think I pass!

No but seriously, do you want something fun, that also can rip your heart out. Then this is it.

”Because the heart always listens to logic, right?”

I don’t want to spoil anything, but if you enjoyed the first book, you will love this one!
Haven’t read book 1 yet? Do it! You won’t regret it! And the ending? Wow. I’m speechless. Well done!

Truly an amazing book 5/5. I kept reading and wanted to know what happened to Oliver and Mars, their story, and everything that goes on between them. Really, sometimes I wanted to twist my neck, and sometimes I jumped for joy. And the group of friends, and how they are together and help each other when bad things happened, like in the archives, or when one of them was sad or in pain, how they always stood by each other. The ending was very beautifully done, how they find each other again but don't know each other, yet still recognize things but don't know how.

Soulmates ✔️
Enemies to lovers ✔️
Slow burn romance ✔️
A world so beautiful you want to go there even if it means you've died!✔️

Honestly I could break it all down and tell all but I will just say this. If you want a cosy romantasy that will transport you to another world, make you feel every emotion under the sun and leave you feeling lost because you didn't want it to end then read these books!

Another 5 star read! This is the sweetest story ever and one of few books that makes me cry!
I’m completely heartbroken for some characters and happy for all of them (except Dav, u deserved ur outcome).
Olive’s reaction to what’s happening around her is so, so real. It’s something I absolutely relate to and makes her such a relatable character.
The ending was absolutely smashing my heart and then gluing it back together, it was so heartbreaking either way such a sweet end.

I honestly didn’t think it was possible, but this book was even better than the first one. ❤️

Soul Dorm 2 completely touched my heart. It was so emotional that I cried so much while reading it. Every chapter made me feel something, and I became even more attached to the characters. Their journey, the relationships, the heartbreak, the healing, it all felt so real.

I also absolutely loved the writing style, it was so immersive and beautifully done that it really pulled me into the story and made me feel like I was right there with them. I couldn’t put the book down because of how naturally everything flowed and how deeply it made me feel everything.

This wasn’t just a book I enjoyed, it was a book I felt. It made me laugh, cry, and completely broke and healed my heart at the same time. I didn’t want it to end.

This story will always have a special place in my heart, and I know I’ll be thinking about it for a long time. I recommend this series with all my heart. ❤️

Olive completely stole my heart. Mars, on the other hand... let's just say I hated his guts until he finally got his head straight! 🙄 But watching his growth and seeing them navigate their chaotic soulmate dynamic was worth every single second of tension.☺️

Every single character ended their journey exactly where and how they wanted, making the final destination incredibly rewarding. 🤗

The overall message of how one single person in the right place can make such a massive difference was beautifully executed. 🤗

Can we talk about Devon? I hated his pompous ass with a burning passion! Seriously, off with his head! 🤣🤣🤣 He was the perfect character to root against.🥳

The final was absolute perfection. I closed the book with a massive smile on my face. La la la la la...🎸🎤

I am still on a total reading high! 🎶🎶🎶

I'm glad to announce that my kindle is still in one piece. 🤣🤣🤣 barely...

Ahhhh what a sequel!
After the ending of the first book I was very interested to see how the rest of the story would continue and wow! I just couldn't put this book down and I finished it in one day.

The relationship between Olive and Mars was more tense in this second book and sometimes I really wondered if they could ever rekindle their relationship. At the same time there was also a part of me that knew that they couldn't stay in the dorm forever, no one is supposed to stay forever, and I was very scared to get to that point.

The ending was beautiful! I do feel sad for a few characters, but at the same time their endings also made sense for their characters.
