There is an alternate cover edition for this ASIN here.

IN A WARPED HEAVEN, SHE MUST CHOOSE HER FATE: OBEDIENCE OR REBELLION

The Ceruleans: mere mortals infused with power over life and death. Five books; one question: If the might of the heavens were in your hands, would you be sinner or saint?

When Scarlett Blake chose life-after-death as a Cerulean, she expected to grieve for all she left behind: her boyfriend, her best friend, her mother, her home. But at least Cerulea, her heaven, would be… well, heavenly. Right?

Wrong.

The world in which Scarlett awakens is very far from her idea of a utopia. Picturesque, sure, and serene. But there can be no paradise within the unforgiving walls of a prison, be they of cold, hard stone or beautifully blue water.

Now Scarlett faces her hardest decision yet: be a good, dutiful Cerulean, or be true to herself and fight for freedom.

And if she can find a way to escape, what then? Can she finally reunite with her lost sister? Can she save Sienna from the murderous Fallen? Can she evade her destiny with the Ceruleans?

Can Scarlett Blake ever reclaim her life-before-death… or must she let go of all she loves?

Once upon a time a little girl told her grandmother that when she grew up she wanted to be a writer. Or a lollipop lady. Or a fairy princess. ‘Write, Charlie,’ her grandmother advised. So that’s what she did.

Many stories later, Charlie is a writer, a book editor and a writing coach. She’s the author of six young-adult novels, published under her pen name Megan Tayte. Stories about love and loss, light and darkness. And sometimes, cake.

Charlie lives in Nottingham with her two children, in a home full of art supplies, teacups, and books, many books. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her walking someplace green, reading by the window or baking up a (probably catastrophic) storm.

“You said I could save her, Sienna. She’s at the heart of everything. She’s what matters most now. We have to get to her.”

This was a really good instalment in this series, and I loved the ending!

Scarlett got a rough deal in this book, especially when she found out what her life would be like with the Ceruleans. Their expectations were hardly reasonable, and the fact that she would have to leave Luke behind made things even worse for her.

The storyline in this was again about finding Sienna, but we also got quite a bit of back story with regards to the Ceruleans, and also got to find out what life on the island was like, and about the day-to-day workings of the Ceruleans as well which was enlightening.
We did get a little bit of romance at the end, but because Scarlett and Luke were apart we didn’t get much.

The ending to this was really good, and it will be interesting to see what happens in books 4 and 5.

Thanks to Megan Tayte for giving me this book to review.

Life after death as a Cerulean is not what Scarlett expected as Cerulea is not the heaven she expected it to be. It is picturesque but the more she learns the more she discovers it is like a prison as she is not able to leave to save her sister. Scarlett has to make a decision, to be a good Cerulean or to be true to herself and fight for her freedom, and if she can escape will she be able to find and save her sister from the murderous Fallen.

Wild Blue Yonder is the really good third book in the Ceruleans series which has more mystery and really fast paced as I read it in one day so I could find out what was happening next. Opposite to the first book, I felt there was a lot of paranormal elements but not much romance.

I liked Scarlett in this book as she was strong and determined but also knows how to bide her time, however, it was a bit irritating that she seemed to be crying a lot of the time, but I don’t think I would be any different in the same situation. I also liked that we got to know Jude better as he is such a nice and caring guy, and is torn between doing what he was bought up to believe and helping Scarlett. However, I did miss Luke, Cara and Tywcombe in this story.

I really enjoyed this book and has a good cliff-hanger and I am looking forward to the next novel Devil and the Deep. I would recommend Wild Blue Yonder to fans of the first 2 books Death Wish and Forget Me Not.

Without a wasted word, wasted page or a break in the creative intensity, Megan Tayte leads us through the wicked twists and heartbreaking turns of Wild Blue Yonder as Scarlett knows her time is limited and firmly believes that only through death and becoming a Cerulean, can she save her sister from eternal damnation. It means leaving behind her best friend, and the man who owns her heart, but her fear for her sister trumps the pain she will be inflicting on herself and others. Will Cerulea be the Heaven she thinks she knows or will it be as confining as any prison on Earth?

Jude is determined to protect her, go along with her demands and be there for her, but is it because he needs her as an eternal mate or is there more to his actions? With only her dreams of better times and her memories of Luke, can she hold strong to her mission to save her sister from the fallen ones. As Scarlett soon discovers, all is not as she thought in Cerulea, it is far more frightening than it is a paradise for all, as one woman claims dominion over the others and they follow like blind sheep who are afraid of repercussions. What Scarlett discovers about Cerulea is nothing compared to what she discovers about her sister.

Once again, Megan Tayte is turning the paranormal world into a fresh and taut playground for her words as she proves she is completely in charge of her skill as an author. Her original and fresh take on things we want to believe in are magnetic, thought –provoking, intriguing and pure entertainment! With a touch of darkness, a lot of fantasy and a way with words, Megan Tayte is an author to keep your eyes on!

A great ending story but possibly will make the 4th book more hard for Luke and Scarlett. Reading this kind of stories always made me believe more in LOVE. 😂

I received a copy of this book directly from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

It was difficult for me to choose a rating for Wild Blue Yonder by Megan Tayte. After reading the first two books in the series I was practically waiting with baited breath for the third installment—and despite the fact that I had other things to do and genuinely tried to put off reading Wild Blue Yonder, I found myself picking it up to “read one chapter” late last night. Before I knew it, I had demolished the book.

Like the previous books in the series, the writing was flawless and effortless in its execution. I didn’t stumble over awkward sentence structure, grammar, or punctuation mistakes. I was immediately drawn into the story by the characters and the mystery of the plot. Like I discovered with the second book in the series, Wild Blue Yonder was both a well pieced together addition to the previous books, and yet something completely different at the same time. The first book was all about the romance and the mystery, the second book about grief, and this book? This book was about deception, betrayal, and ultimately, truth.

The reason this book was so hard to rate came down to the uncomfortable feeling that rooted in the pit of my stomach as I read. The Ceruleans, to me, went from being this vague magical race to these terrifying cult-like people who operated on blind faith and careful deception. The story was tense, and so was I. As riveted as I was by the plot, by the end of the book that uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach had grown into anger. Oh, how angry I was! At Jude, the Ceruleans, Siena… I wanted to cry right alongside Scarlett. It left me unhappy.

When the book was over, I had to take a step back. My initial thought was “I didn’t like this book” because I’m not used to walking away from a book feeling as uncomfortable and angry as I did—but the more I thought about it, the higher the rating for this book went. The thing is, I didn’t like the book—I didn’t—but I’m okay with that. What this book did was powerful. For a few hours, I was put into Scarlett’s shoes and I lived in the world of the Ceruleans. No, I didn’t like their world—but that was sort of the point. I wasn’t supposed to like their world. I was supposed to empathize with Scarlett… and I did.

As unhappy as I was with certain aspects of the book, this was a phenomenal read. I’m glad I read it, and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series—but I think I’m going to need a little while to recover. It may be time for a fluffy, HEA next. If you enjoy complex mystery-oriented YA fantasy, you need to give this series a try. The series has been exceptional so far, and I’m happy to recommend it.

Wild Blue Yonder picks up right where Forget Me Not (Ceruleans #2) leaves off…Scarlett wakes up and realizes that she has arrived in Cerulea. A big reason why she was able to make the decision to become a Cerulean after she died was because she was going to a wonderful, beautiful place. A place where she could do some good while grieving the life she left behind. What she finds when she wakes up is nothing like what she expected, sure it’s beautiful and everyone seems nice…but it feels a lot more like a prison than the paradise she imagined. Now she has a difficult choice to make: abide by the rules and ways of the Ceruleans or fight for what she believes in.

After reading the first two books I could not wait to get my hands on this book. There were so many questions I needed to have answered. Some of them are…Why won’t Scarlett be able to leave Cerulea when that’s clearly not an issue for Jude? How is she supposed to help people with her healing when she can’t leave Cerulea? Also, the big ones…What happened to her sister? How will she save her? The wonderful thing about reading this book is that it answers so many of these questions. My biggest problem with reading a lot of series is that you have to wait until the last book to get any sort of answers. The books in the middle can sometimes be a lot of filler. Wild Blue Yonder answered so many of the questions I had and in a completely surprising way, not at all filler. Like Scarlett, I found that Cerulea was nothing like what I imagined it would be and when we find out her role in Cerulea I was genuinely shocked….I would never have guessed it.

Now one thing I have been looking forward to since starting this series is getting to know Jude better. I always felt that he was an intriguing character and luckily we see him much more in this book. Jude is the only person in Cerulea that Scarlett knows from her previous life so she feels most comfortable around him. Also she is quickly informed of what type of relationship she’s expected to have with Jude which makes things even more complicated for her. Honestly, it was an emotional roller coaster for Scarlett and I was along for the ride. Jude is a sweet and caring friend but Scarlett feels like he wasn’t completely honest with her and she wonders whether she can trust him. The woman who is the leader of Cerulea, “mother” as they call her, seems like she can’t be trusted either but also seems to make a lot of sense whenever Scarlett talks to her. We meet a wonderful new cast of characters in a brilliant new setting.

We do get some answers about Sienna too. Scarlett, along with me, has been wondering if her sister is okay and what happened to her since the very beginning. I wasn’t sure what to expect once Scarlett started looking for her sister but Megan Tayte managed to leave me completely shocked. The answers, when we finally get them, are worth the wait! Now there are a couple people I have yet to mention. Luke, the love of Scarlett’s life, and his sister and her best friend Cara. She certainly does not forget about them and by the end of the book we find out a little more about what we can expect from those relationships. Before I started this book, I had questions concerning every character as well as Cerulea, which was just as important as one of the characters. By the time I finished I had answers concerning all of them. We are left with soo many more questions and all the shocks and revelations left me eagerly waiting for the next book in this series. This one was by far my favorite of the series and I fell in love with Scarlett and Jude a little more. If you haven’t picked this one up yet I recommend you do it soon, you won’t regret it.

Wild Blue Yonder by Megan Tayte is book three in The Cerulean Series. Scarlett Blake has made it safely to Cerulea. But she is none to happy to be there. It is nothing what she expected – nor myself for that matter. Yes, it is beautiful but she arrives in winter and it just isn’t what she pictured. I found it all quite sterile and strict and in my personal opinion something is off. Not at all what we were lead to believe. While she knows she can never return to the life she has known, she can’t stop thinking about those she has left behind. She has agreed with Jude to come to Cerulea to continue her life and do good for others. Starting over on Cerulea, with Jude, will be the hardest thing she has ever done. With Luke, her boyfriend now gone to her she only has memories to keep her going. But it seems like everything she has been told about Cerulea is masked in some kind of a lie.

She soon comes to realize what exactly she was brought there for and she is not happy about it. Nor would I be. Major revelation on exactly why she is there! Shocking even! With only one way to find out what has happened to her sister Sienna and where she is now – Scarlett decides to behave herself and go along with what is asked of her. Following the rules and committing herself to Jude. The hopes of doing all of this will please the Cerulean mother, Evangeline and with that comes the hope that she will be able to leave Cerulea, and search for her sister.

But that all comes crashing down with an overheard conversation. Scarlett soon realizes that nothing is what it seems and there isn’t a lot of room to trust anyone. But one way or another she will escape Cerulea and she will find out what has happened to her sister! Again, the writing is beautiful and defining. It draws you in and submerges you into the world of Scarlett Blake. I ran the gamut of emotions with this book. Happiness and smiling, anger and cursing, skepticism and shock, and sadness and loss. You want to believe that no matter what true love always wins out – but you just have to question if it will! It is all beautifully written into an epic story! Don’t let the pretense sway you, this series is amazing! And I couldn’t have been happier to find out there will be two more books! This series calls for a standing ovation! It’s that good!

Spoilers

This book was interesting...you discover what "heaven" looks like. Only it's more of a prison than heaven.

It starts with a strange cult like following of a woman who seems caring but isn't. The whole purpose becomes about making contact with her sister to "save" her. Missing Luke and with a broken heart she has to pretend that Jude is the one she wants for the cult like leader Evangeline.

I didn't like that she had to basically agree to be that person Evangeline wanted her to be in order to get what she wanted. A way off the island...I hate when people are held against their will it's not any fun.

Although I wasn't sure I would like this book by the end I was a bit more of a fan. I'm a die hard romantic as we all know...hence my career choice, but by the end I was on board.

It seems like the more answers there are the more questions I find about this world the author has created in her series. Any who, they finally catch up to sister dearest to save her only to discover she isn't willing to be saved because she wants to be with the Fallen...so she murders someone in front of them losing her soul and their ability to want her in their lives. It was sad because the truth comes out about Jude...He's in love with her sister...awww. So sad that's going to have to resolve in the next books in order for me to like the rest of the series...

I hope that the author either gives him someone he can love or makes it so that she gets saved somehow because otherwise my reviews for these book may be mixed lol...because––DIE HARD ROMANTIC here.

All in all i give this one a EPX or a five star read because it answered some of the questions I had but left me with others...the ending was what really got me to loove it...because she got to be with Luke.

‘Wild Blue Yonder’ starts exactly were the last book ended. Scarlett’s human life is over and now she is on the Island of Cerulea. There are a lot of things Scarlett needs to get used to. For example the way life on the Island will go for her. It seems there are a lot of things planned out for Scarlett. Things Scarlett had no idea of.

The third book in the series was very different than the first two books. There are finally some things explained, but it’s definitely also a much sadder book. In the first two books Scarlett was saying goodbye but now Scarlett’s whole life has changed. No boyfriend Luke, no best friend Cara, no living on her own in the little house.
I was a little afraid about how this book was going to go, and if I would like it. And although this book really is different I still loved it as much as the first two books. The writing is great and although not a lot is happening throughout this book, Megan Tayte makes sure you keep sitting on the edge of your seat. And I still just wanted to know more.

My favorite character in this book was definitely Scarlett. Scarlett was strong, didn’t freak out and didn’t give up. Especially after all the things she learned, I found this very impressive. I mean, I freaked out about some things Scarlett was expected to do on that island.
In this third book, we also get to see more of Jude. I never really liked him in the first two books, and I still don’t really get him. But there are some things explained about him in this book, that made me like him more.

This book is definitely another great one in the Ceruleans series. Especially that ending!! ;) I can’t wait to start reading the fourth book in this series.
If you haven’t read the first two books in this series.. Go read them. It’s such a good series!!

Scarlett Blake is dying. She is leaving her best friend Cara, the love of her life Luke, all to find her sister. It is not her choice to die. It is her destiny. Jude is there to help guide her, lead her to Cerulean, to her “home.” I cannot imagine at eighteen knowing that you are dying, that you do not want die or leave your friends and family, yet there is nothing you can do to stop it. The only positive part of her dying is that she can go save her sister, the one who everyone thinks committed suicide.

I read the first book, Death Wish (see review here), and could not wait to get my hands on the second in this five book series. Forget Me Not and Wild Blue Yonder appeared to me at the same time. I could not have been more thrilled. I devoured them both, unable to stop reading, unable to put my tablet down. After Death Wish, I felt invested in Scarlett Blake. I needed her to be happy, to be safe, and to find the truth about her sister. I loved her relationship with Luke. He was good to her, he kept her safe, he loved her entirely. I wanted them to be together and to be happy. I also loved Jude. He was definitely Scarlett’s protector. I did not know from book one what his motive was in keeping her safe. I do know now. I should have seen it coming, I should have seen the clue, but I didn’t. I was surprised and now cannot wait for book four to be available.

This is a great series. The love, the youth, and of course the paranormal are all perfect. I certainly recommend checking out this series.

Please Megan, do not make me wait forever for the rest of this series.

In the third instalment of the Cerulean series, we are taken back to where we left off. Now, this was hard for me as the ending of the second book absolutely tore me apart! So I was in no rush to relive through all the pain. However, Megan Tayte managed to take me back so that I could understand Sienna's feelings, without the full blast of emotional torture from before. Sienna wakes up in Cerulea and a whole new way of life. She will take time to adjust, especially when half-truths and bold-faced lies start crawling out of the woodwork.

I love a story when there is a character that I completely loathe!! I mean, with absolutely no redeeming qualities at all. Who keeps you off balance, being nice one moment but you keep waiting for the cutting edge. Well, that is definitely what you get in this book. There is a character just like that, who has more than one secret. I utterly loathed her. And yet, I can't wait to find out more about her, if only to see her carefully constructed world with all her lies fall apart!

One other thing I will mention, is that I was so very happy with how the love triangle between Luke-Sienna-Jude played out. Love triangles aren't really my thing, but this one... I can't think of how it could have gone any other way whilst still having the same impact.

This series is a treat to read, whilst going from strength to strength. Each book is strong, developed, smoothly paced, full of emotion and action. Absolutely recommended by me!

This book through me for a loop, but it makes such an amazing third book in the series! There was a lot of mystery and interesting things involved in this one and I just loved it! I read it all in one sitting just so I continued to know exactly what was going on. So far this is the best series I have read this year…and since it’s only March I don’t know if it will continue to be the best…but seesh it’s just that good!

In this book Scarlett learns what is to be expected of her in Cerulea, which is NOT the Heaven she expected it would be. Also, saving her sister might not be as possible as Jude led her to believe. Poor Jude…you learn a lot more about him in this book and it completely pulled on my heartstrings how everything plays out. I still like him more than Luke though…even if its Jude can’t be with Scarlett. Just sayin…

Since this one left off with a cliff hanger I can’t wait to read what’s next for everyone in Devil and the Deep!

Remember that this is book #3 and you absolutely HAVE to read the books in order because you will be completely and utterly confused if you just try to skip!

Wild Blue Yonder takes us back to where the last book left off, when Scarlett learned about her fate. She was destined to die (and what a gruesome way to end it!) and she was to become a Cerulean upon her demise. She had succumbed to her fate for as long as it will lead her to her sister. Memories of Luke and Cara and her mother invaded her dreams. But they were all just that. Memories.

Cerulea, a magical place, the promised land, a fabled paradise, but when she finally opened her eyes, Scarlett realized, it was all but fantasy. It was dreary and suffocating.
Jude, bless his heart, had been helpful in every little way, but I suspect he knew more than he was letting on. Jude was a mystery to me. And Luke, from far away land and time, agreed with me. Luke was Scarlett's heaven. Would she still find her heaven in Cerulea?

Cheers to another thrilling fantasy novel from Megan Tayte! Finally, some of my niggling answers had been answered, but still, I crave for more. A lot of twists have happened, the ending hinted for another spectacular surprise, the whole book enamored me. The great thing about this book is, it's never boring. There's always something that catches your attention, and when you think you've read it all, you're in for another shocking twist. I can't wait to read the next book!

Another fantastic book in the Ceruleans series! These books just keep getting better and better. This one was my favorite so far. You get A LOT of answers to your questions from books 1 and 2--which is great! I was always so curious about Jude and wanted to learn more about him, and this book definitely gave me that. I ended up liking Jude a lot more and really understanding where he's coming from after reading this book.

As in the first two books, the writing is engaging, effortless, and leaves you wanting more. I was so invested in Scarlett and what she was learning about Cerulea and going through emotionally. I felt like I was on the journey with her and was eager to learn more.

I don't want to give too much away here...but know that this book satisfies your need to know more about Cerulea, but still leaves you hanging on Scarlett's next moves in Book 4. It doesn't drag at all like books in series sometimes can. I can't say enough good things about this series. It is a gem that deserves to be read--I'm anxious to read book 4!

Maybe I should be thankful that I stopped reading earlier this summer. It is allowing me the opportunity to read books 2,3 and 4 one after the other and I enjoy that. I am not long on patience and waiting for the promised end of a series. The Ceruleans series is a 5 book collection with Wild Blue Yonder as Book # 3. So I am halfway, more than halfway through the series now. And I still love it!

In this edition a very disquieted Scarlett finds that not everything in Cerulea is as it seems. It certainly isn't heaven and there are many restrictions placed on the womenkind. She is devastated to find that she has been lied to by both her friend Jude, whom she trusts and "Mother" Evangeline, who has all the power and control.

We silently watch as Scarlett tests her way through the disappointments of Cerulea and learns to trust her inner being. We even get to meet her sister.

This story is well written and fairly fast paced. It is phenomenal how diabolical the plot is whether characters realize truth or not.

AHHHH!!! This series!! I whipped through this 3rd book in the series and am still so in love with it! This book steers away from the romantic element and into the mystery of the Cerulean world and a little closer to the Fallen. It's clear the fire between Scarlett and Luke hasn't dimmed in their separation, and their love continues to be a constant in the background, which will make readers wonder if the young lovers have a future yet. New characters are introduced, including Mother Evangeline of the Ceruleans -- who seems to have secrets of her own. Scarlett's quest to save her sister finally comes into focus and towards the last third of the book, and with that storyline come some surprises. Series recommended for older YA. The book has a lovely, satisfying ending that assures me I'll be starting book four immediately. Full review on Hall Ways http://kristinehallways.blogspot.com/...

Wow! I was not disappointed!

Writing a third book in a series which has so far had a 5 star success rate must be a daunting process, and I must confess that having rated the two previous books with five stars myself, I was a little nervous of starting the sequel fearing that I would be disappointed. I couldn't get my head around the whole 'dead-but-still-living' idea and didn't see how it would work. Perhaps starting as a sceptic however, the turnaround was that much more dramatic as I was once again drawn completely into Megan Tayte's 'Wild Blue Yonder', the third in the The Ceruleans series. I couldn't put it down. Megan's writing style is fluent and easy to process, her characters are likeable, her conversational language between the characters is skilful and therefore believeable - and yes, she made me believe in the 'dead-but-still-living' idea!!! Enough said!

I have enjoyed the series thus far. I thought it had great character development, although I thought Jude's character was lacking in the third book. Love cannot be easily forgotten and Scarlett will not give up. Hopefully the next two books will shine more light into the past, the fallen, etc to give better understanding.
