And what a way to end this absolutely incredible series! Each book in this series lives rent free in my head and for good reason!
I devoured this book and I just wanted to spend most of that time jumping in to comfort both Shay and Matty, they are both going through their own mental heath struggles but they find comfort in each other that is just so damn cute and perfect.
As this is the last book in the series we see for one last time all our favourites throughout this series, and damn did I cry, they are one of the best found families I have ever read and I cannot wait to follow Pru and all her future works,
I honestly cannot form the right words to how this book as well as the books that came before have had on me, I will never stop recommending anything that Pru writes.
I would highly recommend this book as well as every other book that Pru has written, she is always an auto buy author for me! For fans of Hockey Romance, Slow Burn, Found Family, Anxiety REP, Mental Health REP, Forbidden Romance, and some Deliciously Sweet Spicy Goodness.
*ARC reviewing opportunity thanks to House of Hearts and Pru Schuyler*
This was so much fun to read and a fabulous introduction to Pru Schuyler and the Nighthawks, for I read this 7th book in the series as a standalone. Immediately convinced to read all previous 6 too, though. There was a lot of hockey in this book - actually earning the category of “sports romance”, some great banter, flirting and some spice. But mostly: it was way more emotional and deep than I would have expected. I love how Pru Schuyler writes about trauma and/or anxiety, love how emotionally mature these characters are and the support they give each other. And of course nothing but love for this incredible FMC too, and how both she and her (role) in women’s sports are written. Both truly moved and thoroughly entertained by this book!
🏒⛈️ The Strongest Players Still Need Someone in Their Corner ⛈️🏒 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️
Find Me In The Storm by Pru Schuyler surprised me with just how emotional this hockey romance became. Shay and Matt are both goalies who understand the pressure that comes with loving a sport that can give you everything one moment and completely change your life the next. Their struggles are very different, but I loved how that shared understanding allowed them to become a safe place for one another.
Shay's journey was one of my favorite parts of the story. Two years after a devastating accident ended her professional hockey career, she is still trying to figure out who Shay Rooney is without being the legendary PWHL goalie. Accepting a position as goalie coach for the Nighthawks means returning to the rink and facing the trauma she has spent years avoiding. Her fear and panic felt incredibly vulnerable, and I appreciated that her progress wasn't treated like something Matt could simply make disappear. He supported her, grounded her when she needed him, and encouraged her while still allowing Shay to do the hard work herself.
Matt was carrying so much beneath the surface too. Between the pressure he puts on himself as the Nighthawks goalie, his tendency to look to fans and social media for validation, and the heartbreaking reality of his father's Alzheimer's, there was much more to him than I initially expected. His fear that his dad might one day forget him hit especially hard. I loved seeing Matt slowly allow someone else into those parts of his life instead of keeping every worry trapped inside.
What made their romance work for me was how emotionally supportive they were of each other. Matt respected Shay's boundaries, moved at her pace, and even participated in her sticky-note therapy exercise because he genuinely wanted to understand her. Shay was also there when Matt needed someone to ground him. Neither magically fixed the other. They simply made sure the other person didn't have to weather every difficult moment alone.
There was still plenty of fun mixed into the heavier emotions. Matt's love of Britney Spears made me laugh, Kyle was such a fun addition, and Matt's first meeting with Shay's parents was priceless. 😂 I also enjoyed the player/coach forbidden element and all those moments when they were trying very hard not to get caught crossing the line.
I appreciated how much actual hockey was included too. This truly felt like a sports romance, and I especially loved seeing a former women's professional hockey player at the center of the story. The Nighthawks team and their close-knit relationships added even more heart.
This was my first experience with Pru Schuyler, and Find Me In The Storm gave me a romance that was much deeper than I expected. It explores trauma, anxiety, grief, identity, family, and the pressure athletes place on themselves while still giving us chemistry, banter, hockey, and some wonderfully lighthearted moments. Please check the trigger warnings before reading because some of the subjects are incredibly emotional.
Thank you to Pru Schuyler and House of Hearts Lit for the gifted advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own. 💙
In 'Find me in the storm' we follow 2 profesional goalies in the NHL / PWHL.
Matt is the Nighthawks goalie, more an intovert in the group. Whilst he is part of the 'framily' of the close knit players, he tends to keep lots of worry inside. His insecurities in combination with his dads Alzaheimers keeps him cornered in his mind. He wants to share the potential win for the cup with his dad, but with the sickness running wild, it's not sure he ever will. Lost in guilt not being with his parents, he feels he needs to prove himself even more in the team, for his teammates and the fans. Needing validation, he often scrolls on social media, but those can be both encouraging and negative.
Shay was the one who escaped death by a few millimeters, however, on that fatal day on the ice, she lost her dream. Ever since the accident 2 years ago, her arm is not fully functional anymore, putting an end to her professional carreer way to soon. Her life now exists of (physical) therapy sessions, but she still has a long way to go. When she is asked to become a goalie coach at the Nighthawks, she has to face her fears: she needs to get back in the arena. Easier said then done, as the sounds of skates on the ice lead her straight into a panic attacks. But then there is this hot, sweet, big goalie of a man who is able to help her back to earth, helps her to keep fighting her fears and take back that piece of her she lost that day.
Matt and Shay are perfect for each other, being able to ground each other when spiralling down. They bring out the best of each other, but with the cup on the line and the coach-player relation is a no-go, they shouldn't have a chance... or do they?
I am a big fan of Schuylers books, and this one did not disappoint. Schuyler is able to put some rough topic into her stories, this book no exception. The mental (and physical) struggle both MCs are going through is heart-breaking, losing the faith in your own body / losing a parent is horrible (i can relate) and mentally exhausting. Whilst being a hard, dark topic, it is handled with such care and heartfelt, with genuine love for the characters and their surroundings. The way it is done makes you feel through both highs and lows of the characters, rooting for their happy ending. This book is for everyone who loves a strong, blinding love that beats all odds, bringing 2 people together that are deserving for the happy end.
Thanks to Pru Schuyler and House of Hearts for the gifted copy — all opinions are my own.
Before reading this book i recommend you read the trigger warnings before carrying on.
Matt and shay you was a perfect couple like when I first started reading i just new you was going to make me fall in love with you and you did.
Matt Macauther is a nhl goalie who plays for the night hawks but hes also struggling with his own issues relating to his dad having alzheimer's but he didnt want anyone to know.
Shay rooney was a goalie in the PWHL but a carer ending injury ment that she couldn't play anymore she tried her hardest to get back to what she used to be but she wont ever get back to that.
When shay's friend Andy offers her a job as goalie coach shes nervous and doesn't want to take but Andy gives her a little shove to help her and she accepts. Her first day didnt go very well the closer she got to the ice the more she started panic remembering her injury and she ran off to a old supply closet where she has a panic attack but this is also where she meets matt.
Matt helps shay over come her panick attack and encourages her to keep the job at first she tries to quit but after talking with Andy they help her slowly get closer to the ice but its takes a while.
What I want to say is the parts written about alzhimers is so heart breaking and true as someone who had a grandad have dementia its heart breaking and where it talks about losing them twice that is so very true you lose them whilst they are still here and then you lose them when they pass away.
I cant beileve the nighthawk series is over I really enjoyed it.
I would rate the spice in this book 🌶🌶 very slow burn you get to see them do things quite far into the book but they dont sleep with each other until 90% way through which just makes the book more enjoyable in my opinion.
Matt and Shay's story is incredibly emotional and worth EVERY single tear I shed reading it!
Shay is a PWHL goalie who suffers a serious career ending injury, the injury has traumatized her so much that she hasn't set foot in the arena or near ice since.....until she gets an offer she can't possibly refuse and is offered a job as a goalie coach for the New York Nighthawks hockey team. Matt is the current goalie of the Nighthawks, who are currently on their journey to the Stanley Cup. Matt, like most goalies has his superstitions and rituals which can cause extra anxiety on top of the anxiety of finally being in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Matt is also dealing with his father who has Alzheimer's and is gradually fading before his eyes.
When Shay meets Matt in his hiding space bc she was having her own crisis at the arena being back, their connection is INSTANT, despite Shay trying to fight it. But Matt is persistent and won't give up that easily and spends most of his time preparing for the Playoffs but also tending to Shay and constantly making sure she's ok mentally and reminding her what a badass she truly is. So when Matt has a moment where he needs the support Shay is right there to care for him the way he cares for her.
The banter between the two of them is ABSOLUTELY hilarious! No matter how much Shay tries to fight it (and believe me, she does) she can't pull herself away from Matt's charm.
The way they support each other and uplift each other positively despite having their own troubles is so heartwarming and endearing.
Kudos to Pru Schyuler (who does nothing but make me CRY all the time (it's good tears I promise 🤣🤣🤣) for so accurately portraying not just how a person with alzheimer's but how that persons changes effect the family as things change.
Thank you Pru and House of Hearts Lit for an ARC of this book in exchange for my review!
It was bittersweet knowing that this was going to be the last book of its series BUT it concluded everything just the way it needed to 💚
Shay Rooney, a former professional hockey goalie, experienced a career-ending injury on the ice that she didn't think she was going to walk away from. Matt MacArthur, a professional hockey goalie for the Nighthawks, was doing well for himself on the ice but struggling in family life (⚠️TW: family member going through Alzheimers). His worst fear was that his dad would forget who he was. Matt knew who Shay was (as she's a hockey legend!) but didn't think to meet her in "his" chill out room mid-way through a panic attack. Shay didn't expect him either, let alone comfort her through it.
When Pru said that we'd need the tissues, she wasn't kidding at all 🤧🥺😭 there were moments that truly broke my heart 💔
I loved how Shay & Matt were each other's anchor through their mental struggles (mental health rep in this book was incredible), I loved how Matt was all in for Shay from the start that even Kyle -her dog- didn't deter him, I loved how he went slow and respected her boundaries, he wanted to know every part of her (even tried her sticky note therapy exercise!) . How he met her parents for the first time was hilarious 🤣 I loved how this book tied everything off nicely to a close, mentioning Alec, Cam, Reed, Coach Carrington, Brett, and Jensen and their stories. And the inside joke of inappropriate workplace relationships (IYKYK 😉🤣)
Matt and Shay consistently skated the line between appropriate and inappropriate in terms of their relationship while it was a secret to everyone else. They did really well with few close calls that they snatched back just in time before they were found out. (How Matt met Shay's family for the first time was hilarious 🤣 he was so calm about it while Shay was freaking out). They knew the limits and conditions. Win the cup, then relationship official 💘
And how could I forget Matt's love for Britney Spears' songs lol
Thank you to Pru & House of Hearts Lit for the g!fted e-arc ❤️❤️
Matt and Shay completely stole my heart. Their first meeting was unexpectedly emotional when Shay, overwhelmed by everything she'd lost, accidentally stumbled into Matt's private sanctuary while having a complete meltdown. It was such a vulnerable introduction and set the tone for the beautiful connection that slowly grew between them.
“I’m already yours, Rooney, but you don’t need me to tell you that—you already know.”
What starts with some hilarious Instagram stalking and the unexpected DM’s quickly turns into a deeply emotional hockey romance. Shay is trying to rebuild her life after an accident that not only ended her career but nearly took her life, while Matt is quietly battling anxiety and the weight of his father's declining health.
Despite the heavier themes, there were so many laugh-out-loud moments that balanced the story perfectly.
“We’re basically pros at inappropriate relationships. What’s one more?”
And Matt? Oh my lord... he was down bad. Watching him fall harder with every chapter was everything.
“…I am falling so hard and fast for Shay. I don’t think I can stop it, even if I wanted to. Earning her love is gradually becoming just as important, if not more, as winning the Cup.”
Emotional, funny, heartfelt, and full of hockey, this was a beautiful story about healing, finding yourself again, and learning that love can grow even after life changes everything.
💚 Women in sports 💚 Goalie MMC 💚 Ex-PWHL player 💚 Female coach in the professional league 💚 Anxiety representation 💚 Dual POV 💚 Forbidden romance 💚 Forced proximity 💚 Secret relationship Really enjoyed it! An emotional sports romance that perfectly balanced healing, vulnerability, and romance. Both MCs ( Shay + Matt) are carrying the weight of life-changing setbacks, and I loved watching them slowly rediscover themselves while finding comfort in each other.
FMC (Shay) is a former elite goalie whose career-ending injury left her questioning everything she knew about herself. MMC (Matt) is dealing with the crushing pressure of expectations, public criticism, and his own need for control. Their shared love of hockey creates an instant connection, but it's their emotional honesty and unwavering support for one another that made their relationship so compelling.
The romance is a bit of a slow burn filled with quiet moments, mutual healing, and plenty of heartfelt emotion. I also appreciated how the story explored mental health, identity and the harsh realities of social media without losing sight of the hope at its core.
If you enjoy sports romances with emotional depth, wounded characters finding their way back to themselves and a romance built on understanding, this one is definitely worth picking up.
I received this book as an eARC in exchange for my honest review.
3.5 ⭐️ Shay the goalie's life changed after a tragic accident. Years later, she's slowly reclaiming her life. I could relate to her because I need both hands to do tasks that most people can do with one. Matt, another goalie, struggles with self-doubt, overthinking, and a toxic need for public validation, while chasing his dream of winning the Stanley Cup. I saw a lot of myself in both of them.
Matt has been a huge fan of Shay ever since she became the goalie coach, and I loved how he was there for her from the beginning. Later, they became each other's biggest support. He's so Valko through and through! Their personal struggles had me bawling my eyes out in the first half.
I loved the found family, and the banter was AMAZING. The pacing was so fast that I didn't even notice it was a slow burn until around the 70% mark. Then everything just dropped. Maybe it's my depression talking, but the slow burn started dragging. The family trauma made me lose interest in the rest of the book. I kept thinking, can we get past this hurdle already? so they could stop dancing around each other!! The spice... what was that? It was low, rushed, and boring. Even the hockey scenes couldn't hold my attention after the 70% mark. The ending was okay. That 3.5 ⭐️ is purely for the banter.
If you love forbidden workplace romance, goalie coach × goalie, he falls first, dog mom, hockey romance, found family, and anxiety rep, slowww burn, you might enjoy this.
This is my honest opinion of the ARC I received. Thanks to Pru and House of Hearts PR for the opportunity.
Shay is a hockey goalie whose career is ended tragically and she is trying to find her way back to who she was before the accident.
Matt is the star goalie of the Nighthawks and on a path to the Stanley Cup while internalizing his father’s illness and taking all the hits.
When Shay’s old coach asks her to join the Nighthawks as a goalie coach, Matt finds her in a vulnerable state as she sees the ice for the first time in two years.
Matt & Shay’s experience with panic attacks, mental health and overcoming life obstacles was done so well. I loved how they were there for each other.
The banter and flirty vibes between these two was so good! I loved how he was down bad immediately.
I wish we saw more of friend group interactions because it’s such an integral part in the rest of the series, but these two seemed isolated. Shay could’ve used some good girlfriends when she joined the team.
I did feel the jump from “we can’t do this” to “let’s go” was abrupt and needed a bit more tension.
I did enjoy this book, as well as the whole series, and I’m sad it’s over!
Thanks to House of Hearts for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Pruh Schuyler is a master at making me cry. Every single one of the Nighthawks books have left me speechless, becoming one of my favourite series to read so far. The way anger, emotional breakdown, love and healing are portrayed leaves no room for argument and Find me in the Storm is the perfect example of all those feelings and so much more. How Matt and Shay learn how to be there for one another, supporting each other silently or loudly is what makes this story a five-star read. Shay Rooney is trying to find herself after a terrible injury and Matt is battling with his father’s rapid health decline. They understand each other’s pain, insecurities and can relate on a deeper level. They know what it takes to be a goalie and the pressure that comes with it. I was anxiously waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. It’s funny, deeply emotional, with strong characters, supporting families and friends that make the story stronger, heartfelt, raw and real. Thank you for the ARC.
I don’t really know what to say, I had no problem with either main character and the dynamic had potential, unfortunately this was just not a hit for me. I could not get into the writing, there was just SO MUCH internal dialogue in both POVs, and at times it even felt a little repetitive. We also started off really strong in chapter 5 with Shay “aggressively” singing “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani in a dark hockey equipment room in the stadium to help with a panic attack and I almost cringe quit.
Also I feel like aside from being annoyed at the extensive amount of internal dialogue, we kind of lost out of what could been more in the world action, if you know what I mean. Like Shay supposedly has these great friends from her hockey team that she’s kind of distanced herself from, it would’ve been nice to see her reconnect with them outside of the two times the group chat is mentioned.
The one bonus was that there was no unnecessary 3rd act breakup, so I will give props for that.
Thank you House of Hearts for this ARC for my honest review.
✨ARC REVIEW ✨ I was lucky enough to receive an advanced reader copy of Find Me In The Storm and I am so thankful for that. This book is one of my favorites in the series, it tackles grief of yourself and struggles with anxiety and the beliefs of others in a way that’s inspiring and hopeful. I don’t usually love a slow burn and often find myself yelling at the characters to just finally get together. However this story needed the slow burn in order for the characters to heal and fall into the deep love that they have. Pru Schuyler created such a wonderful ending for this series and I loved the way she tied all of the books together well still focusing on Shay and Matt. I am so sad to see this series end but I am so glad I got to read this book and meet all these wonderful characters. This book can definitely be read as a stand alone however I definitely recommend the whole series but especially Find me in the Storm.
🏒 Hockey romance 🏒 Ex-PWHL goalie turned coach 🏒 Current NHL goalie 🏒 Slow burn 🏒 Mental health rep 🏒 Chronic pain rep
I’m so sad to see this series end as it’s been a favorite of mine, but I loved everything about it. Matt and Shay are adorable together and are perfect for each other. I felt like the build up was a little rushed, but I still loved everything about the book. Matt is a super caring character and is very soft for Shay. I loved how emotional he was and how much he embraced it. Shay has trouble coming to terms with her career ending injury, but I loved how she worked towards getting better and wanting to be better for not just herself but everyone around her. She was hard on herself but Matt was able to get her to realize how much she had accomplished and how proud she should be of herself. I absolutely wish I got more of their story! This was the perfect couple to the end the series with and I’m excited to see what’s coming.
💚 From the beginning, this book is an emotional overload! Shay and Matt never judge each other. They fight their demons alone and together. Through it all, a romance blooms that pulls at my heartstrings as they move toward each other and the healing they both deserve.
💚 While this is a hockey romance, it also spends plenty of time exploring the mental toll social media can take on athletes, especially Shay and Matt. I found the story incredibly easy to connect with emotionally as it explores healing—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Shay and Matt show remarkable resilience after trauma and find the courage to move forward.
💚 But I can't forget the romance. Shay and Matt have incredible chemistry. Their cute quips and banter add a welcome lightness to the story, and I loved watching their relationship develop through trust, vulnerability, and the mutual support they both needed.
💚 Grab a copy today and fall in love with Shay and Matt! 💚
This was an incredible read. It's funny, emotional and sassy. This is worth the read and tears. Pro Hockey player Shay Rooney was a goalie when she had an accident that ended her career. Two years later, She's slowly getting to the rink and stepping inside. Her friend and mentor works for the Nighthawks and encouraged her to come to work with him. She becomes the Goalie Coach; this is where she meets Matt. He is a goalie and been secretly crushing on her for a long time. She discovers messages he sent over a year ago. His parents are older and had struggled to get pregnant. He was a surprise and miracle. His father has been diagnosed with dementia. (These scenes were incredibly emotional and well written) Can they be together? how do their parents take the introductions and interactions?
💚Find Me In The Storm 🏒 Pru Schuyler ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️
I could not put this book down but I also couldn’t help from crying! This book was so much more than just a story about Shay becoming a goalie coach for the men’s hockey team after her devastating injury that ended her career and becoming Matt’s coach… the story behind Matt’s dad and his Alzheimer’s diagnosis and the things him and his mom had to go through mentally, to Shay’s mental and physical battle from her injury that she had to recover from and relearn her day to day life! Being able to read about Shay and Matt and the banter they had during the season while Shay was his coach and not just the girl he was falling in love with was perfect!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this arc and fall even more in love with the Nighthawks series!
Matt and Shay are such a fun and cool couple! I loved their dynamic so much and I giggled so hard at their banter!
She’s HIS goalie coach, he’s been obsessed with her from afar and now they become each other’s peace in the middle of the madness. Shay is coming off a career ending injury and Matt is struggling with his dad’s illness. I loved how they both became each other’s person and that they could talk to each other about the hard stuff. They built each other up and supported one another.
They had a strong foundation for their relationship which made for a nice slow burn. But the tension was so good. When they finally gave in…I’ll never get it over it!
Matt was so down bad from the beginning and it was so cute seeing Shay fall.
Great series ending book, and now I must go back to read the other 6 books!
What to expect: Hockey Romance Slow Burn Found Family Anxiety REP Mental Health REP Forbidden Romance - she’s his coach Women in sports
Thank you Pru and House of Hearts Lit for the eARC!
💗ARC reviewing opportunity thanks to House of Hearts and Pru Schuyler💗
This was amazing! I loved this book so much. When I first signed up for the ARC I didn’t know it was the 7th in the series and was worried I needed to read the other six. Was so happy all are standalone, planning to read the rest of them though.
This is the first book I’ve read with the Shay being in the position of power and I loved it!! I definitely needed my tissue box near with this emotional read 🥰😭. No spoilers but if you haven’t read any of the books you NEED to pick up this one.
I love how fast the Matt fell for Shay. How protective he was of her. How even through his own mental issues that he’s also working through. I love how they support each other and I can’t wait for more books from Pru Schuyler 💗
Thank you again for the opportunity to read this ARC!
Find Me In the Storm is such a good book. It is very mental health heavy so please read the TW before even starting. We begin with Shay who has been injured and it changes the trajectory of her life. & when Matt and Shay meet they are both a bit broken. Matt has the world on his shoulders and Shay has doubts about coaching.
Matt does a great job of showing Shay that she matters, she will do great, and that she is amazing. He also helps center her. Shay does all of those things for Matt as well. She is an ear when he needs it most and is trying her best to be his friend. But the attraction is pulling them towards one another.
I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read and the supporting cast just added another layer to the story.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
ARC review thank you Pru Schuyler and House of Hearts for the opportunity to read and review this book.
The last book in the Nighthawks series it’s bittersweet I am sad that it is over because this was my first introduction to hockey romance books and I am going to miss all of these characters I really enjoyed this book and this series.
I like Matt and Shay I enjoyed their story and how they both are dealing with similar feelings of anxiety and depression. I think there is good representation of chronic pain and Alzheimer’s. When Matt was talking about his dad being sick I was crying right along with him. Also Shay is so strong after dealing with her injury and putting in the work to move forward.
Pru !! What do u put in these books that I swear make them so addictive?
Why was Matt the hardest to say goodbye to?
He melted me in every possible way! Shay and Matt were deep rooted in some heavy trauma, whether it was something that happened to them, or family related. But they overcame it all together. They were each other’s strengths without even realizing it, immediately. Matt was head over heels for Shay. And Shay meeting Matt in her biggest time of need, and him being the sweetest and most caring, and gentlest soul, while protecting her mind and peace was so heartwarming and adorable! Ugh I am obsessed!!
Shay was an amazing goalie in the PWHL until she suffered an unimaginable injury. Two years later, she’s still struggling with a lot until her friend drags her into being a goalie coach for the local NHL team. She’s not really ready, but she decides to go for it. Matt, the goalie for the Nighthawks, sees her in a very vulnerable state and helps her through it. They realize how drawn to each other they are and how they have become each other’s safe spaces. Despite being frowned upon, their relationship grows as they try to hide things until the playoffs are over. It was a bit of a slow burn with some delicious tension. Spicy and emotionally raw. Loved it!!!
Shay was a hockey goalie in the PWHL, but she suffered a career-ending injury. She didn’t go near the ice after her injury until she got a job as a coach for the NHL.
Matt was a goalie in the NHL, and he was working hard to help his team get the Stanley Cup. He was also dealing with his father’s Alzheimer’s and trying not to let it get to him.
The two of them were perfect for each other. They both had their fears and anxieties after what they’d been and continue to go through. But they helped each other through it and helped each other heal.
Thank you House of Hearts Lit for the arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Pru delivers a heartfelt and emotional romance about healing, rediscovering yourself and overcoming obstacles. Shay and Matt are fun and amazing characters with witty banter, amazing chemistry and the support they give to each other is everything.
Matt is the goalie for the Nighthawks and when his crush, Shay, is hired as the goalie coach, he is ecstatic. He has been down bad for Shay for the longest time.
Shay is such a strong and resilient character. Her comeback after a life changing injury is remarkable and she goes through the insecurities and anxiety
This book had me crying and smiling so much! I absolutely loved reading both Matt and Shay’s story which was filled with healing and love. I literally ate this story up! I found both MCs endearing and likable. I was rooting for them individually and together all the way through. Shay is a total baddie and Matt is such a sweetheart. This book contains mental health topics so be sure to check out TW. I received an e-arc of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and I’m appreciative for the opportunity.
It's an amazing book to end an amazing series, even if it makes me sad.
The main characters are truly adorable, probably the most fragile and raw because we see both of them struggling with their own demons but finding hope, happiness, and a safe place in the other. Seeing how the other characters act in this book completes the "found family" aspect and it's just perfect.
Thank you so much @houseofheartslit and @houseofheartslit for giving me the honor of being an ARC. All opinions are my own.
After every storm comes peace. With these two they both had to over come their own battles and together they can conquer it all! From rising after a near death experience and learning he can’t control what happens in the future. They are so good for each other and I love the way he never gave up on her and help her (even in his closet) gain what she had lost.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Something about this book had me wanting to read it in one sitting and savor it all at the same time! This was my first Pru book and I think I’m going to need to go back and read the rest of this series because it was so good.
The fact that he was already obsessed with her before they met and then was so caring and comforting was the cherry on top of this book. Everything about it was beautiful and the character development for both MCs was so well thought out and visible throughout the book.
Thank you Pru and House of Hearts for the advanced copy!
