Rate this book
Some doors should never be opened.
Some truths were never meant to be touched.

Althea Williams has spent years building a life she can long shifts at a small-town bookstore, restless nights spent outrunning her own thoughts, and a sharp sense of humor that keeps everyone at a comfortable distance. She doesn’t believe in fate, divine signs, or anything beyond what she can see.

Until an encounter she believes is nothing more than coincidence exposes her to something she was never meant to witness.

Suddenly, the boundaries between the ordinary and the impossible begin to fracture. Questions that should have no answers refuse to let her go, strange forces seem determined to keep her moving forward, and every discovery reveals another piece of a mystery far older—and far darker—than she ever imagined.

The deeper Althea ventures into a world hidden beneath her own, the harder it becomes to believe that any of it was accidental. Someone has been guiding her toward the truth long before she knew there was one to find.
As faith collides with fear and trust becomes its own kind of danger, Althea must decide whether uncovering the truth is worth everything it demands of her.

Dark, haunting, and impossible to look away from, ELEVEN is the first book in The Thirteen Trilogy—a dark fantasy mystery where desire and deception intertwine, heaven hides its darkest secrets, and nothing is ever as pure as it seems.

And this is only the beginning. With each book, The Thirteen Trilogy descends deeper into the darkness.

I genuinely did NOT expect to love this book as much as I did. I went into Eleven thinking I might get bored, but once I started reading, I literally could not put it down. I shit you not ....i inhaled it within 5 hours. The whole story was incredibly engaging, and it felt like such a fresh read.

And Orion??? YEAHHH. 😭 Dark-haired, broody biker guy with really good banter? Say less. The tension, teasing, testing, and chemistry throughout the book were the cherry on top. There was just something about their dynamic that kept me wanting more.

Riven, on the other hand… I DID NOT TRUST THAT MAN FROM THE BEGINNING. And apparently my instincts were right. 💀 I especially hated how he kept rushing things and showing up at her home uninvited like he was entitled to “grace her with his majesty.” Sir, nobody invited you. 😭 And once more of his personality came to light, I was very much like… yep, there it is. Manipulative psycho douche behaviour.

But honestly, the friends were one of my favourite parts of the entire book. Their conversations, jokes, friendship, and overall dynamic had me genuinely laughing. They brought so much fun into the story and made the character interactions feel alive.

The plot was INSANE. There was mystery, tension, supernatural elements, secrets, and enough going on to keep me constantly curious. I'd give the mystery around 3.5–4/5, but the overall plot and execution kept me completely invested.

And that ENDING??? WTFFFF. 😭

I actually loved that Althea's reaction felt believable. She's not exactly the “omg glowing supernatural phenomenon ✨🥰” type of girl. She's more like “absolutely not, wtf is happening to me?” — which made her reaction feel so much more natural.

I also have approximately 17 theories about what happened with the bond/fated-mate ish maybe situation and what the folklore actually means, but I'm keeping those to myself because I NEED TO SEE WHERE THIS GOES. 👀

Overall, I genuinely didn't have anything I disliked about this book. It surprised me, entertained me, kept me hooked, made me laugh, made me suspicious of literally everyone, and left me staring at the ending like EXCUSE ME???

Definitely one of those ARCs where I started reading because I had signed up for it… and ended up finishing it because I physically could not stop reading.

Thankyou for the arc copy......this book ruined my sleep schedule...survived on just curiosity and i have ZERO regrets.

Let me just start this review of ELEVEN by thanking the author:

P. Carreira for the arc copy. 🙏🏼

As a completely celestial themed story, this is my first!
( consider cherry popped 😉)

And as my first take on this genre, I found it to be compelling, and intriguing throughout.

Once I had come to grips with the world building, and all the characters, the narrative just seemed to flow.
It held my interest from the beginning

So much so, that I found, at times, I was unable to put it down.

The Premise: -

The title, “Eleven”reference s “ Mirror Dates” and, we learn as the story continues how these dates relate to the FMC, Thea aka, Althea

Althea is currently living in the mysterious, spooky, town of Mount Shasta ( if you know about this area…You know 😳) working at a bookstore/ coffee shop

When we are introduced to her we find she is dealing with a LOT of 💩!

Her mother is in a nursing home with early onset dementia and her father, a high powers marketing manager for luxury brands, is MIA, Overseas
( also an A hole! 😠 )
Oh! and she also has a huge scare that runs down one side if her face, neck, chest from a childhood accident.

To unwind from this s**t show of a life, she does what most twenty four year olds do, parties with her girlfriends.

During one of these nights out, staying in the town of Redding, she is accompanied by her girls, heading to a nightclub where she has a run in with a mysterious, dark haired, broody , stranger in the VIP, area, ( Orion, our MMC ) that she can’t stop staring at, and it appears the feeling is mutual.

(This is where we are also introduced to the secondary characters of
Twins - Zephyra and Zepphr )

Suffice to say eventually, they hook up.

But! while they are getting all hot n’ heavy with each other, she notices him staring at her scar.
When she begins to tell him how she got it, he says…I KNOW! 😳

What Now? 😳

Yeah, Althea is wondering the same thing and immediately tells him to leave.
As hot as he was, she can’t help feeling something is very wrong here.

And she wouldn’t be wrong,
With Orion left in her rear view, she finds herself back at work in the bookstore with her boss/friend Silva, when, another blonde haired hot guy walks in…
They get talking, she learns he is a professor at the local college, specialising in Ancient relics, and Celestial Mythology.

His name ?

Dr. Riven V Raya

They hit it off, going on a few dates.
Althea is really enjoys his easy going, relaxed, fun nature.

After expressing an interest in his area of expertise, he offers her a book to read.

“ The Celestial Book of Betrayal “

The premise however revolves around a celestial theme of the Angel and Human worlds.
This is it ( I think )

As it is explained to Althea.

Angels and Humans were quite happy existing in their own worlds however, SOME angels entered the human world and mated, their children would be born on “ Mirror Dates”.
They DO NOT have special powers but they DO give of Aura/Energy, a signature if you will, faintly connecting them to the “ Angel Realm”…. That can, but not alway, give them access to the Angel Realm.

The problem arises when someone born on a mirror date figured out how to manipulate their energy and tried to tear a hole through the veil.

The Veil:- stops the human world and others from swallowing each other.

It’s because of the above that the Angel world sent down to earth Hunters and Watchers.

Which is pretty self explanatory: The Hunter …Well… hunt down those born on these mirror dates, and the watchers come before them to find, and watch, eventually report back to the Angel Realm.

Things begin to escalate and get a bit heavy however, when Thea starts being left notes…

You know your usual creepy stuff

“They know who you are “
“They know where you are “
“ They are watching you”
She also comes home one day to find a massive, glossy, black feather lying on her bed…

That. Is. Warm!!!🤔

She obviously goes and seeks out Riven’s thoughts on all of this.

He is concerned to a point, but a bit cagey, especially when he sees the feather

This also causes her to open up communication once again with Orion, the guy she hasn’t been able to stop thinking about believing HE might be the author of her mysterious notes.

Then, during one date night, while at Riven’s everything goes to s**t

Thea is confronted with, what can only be described as an out of this world, terrifying experience.

Thus, the story begins to pick up, taking us further, and further into the realms of the Angels and Humans, where there is no escaping the infighting and politics not to mention Thea’s growing relationship with Riven, and more importantly her attraction to Orian.

Overall this was a very enjoyable reading experience for me.
I was completely into the celestial elements and, the love triangle between the main leads, Althea, Riven, and… Orion 😍

On a smut level:-
Yes! There is some pretty hot 🔥 and highly charged sexual moments.

The first dinner between Riven and Thea??? 😳🔥🔥🔥Hot. AF!

Thea and Orion’s alcohol fuelled sesh, in her home 🔥🔥🔥

The suspense was reasonable and complimented the narrative

Now!

The bits I found annoying….

Thea personality

She was impulsive, irrational, slightly annoying?

One moment she was all, “ tough biatch drinkin the alcohol like- an underage student hitting up her parents drinks cabinet for the first time

And!

Sex…
HA! Sex is for pleasure only, scratching an itch.
She’s-a F**k’em and leave ‘Em kinda girl…
Until!….

Orion.
All of a sudden, her sassy comeback repartee is reduced to that of a high schooler pretending she isn’t into the hot boy

“ I hate you “ and “ a few “ Go F**k yourself “ wasn’t cutting it

Also, she was a lot more forgiving of Orions behaviour towards her because she was trying to get into his pants.

She had three moods: Grief, Impulsive and Horny .

She randomly blurted out during an augment

“ Why are you guys SO HOT! “

subtlety was not a strong suit here folks

Orion.
The man who loves to use a cringe nickname “ Little Devil”
( GOD! Enough with the nicknames😏 )
“ You taste like sin” and his “ Baby” was giving me the icks!
Dark hair, wears a leather jacket, rides a motorcycle ( of course he does ) posts thirst traps on his socials
.
( He kinda reminded me a bit of Nick from the Hollow Blood series…
Come to think about it! Althea was a little like Aria )

P. Carreira…Girl! You use a lots and a Lot! of repetition
Althea is always making
“bad decisions/ lifestyle choices”
Or having “ Expensive Regrets “ “ Personal Vendetta “ people have “ questionable boundaries “

Then there was the multitude of METAPHORS that would take you out of the story.
“ slammed the door shut LIKE it owed me money “

“I stood in front of the mirror LIKE it had personally wronged me “ 🤷🏻‍♀️
( what does this even mean? How does it add to the story and explain something to us, the reader )

This one :
“Dr Riven V Raya
Even his name sounds LIKE foreplay”

HUH! 😳 Really?

“A black Range Rover new enough to smell LIKE capitalism “

“ I stepped out slowly, eyeing the building LIKE it might bite “

Adding similes just for the sake of adding them! 🤷🏻‍♀️

If there is going to be descriptive phrases then make sure they are there for a reason to help the reader be in the moment not push them out of it.

I started to really notice them by the end

Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️ for what it’s worth

They weren’t all bad.

Sometimes Althea threw out some absolute crackers LIKE (😂)
“Oh My God You’re trying to get laid through biblical role play “

I also loved the description of the yoga girls at the front of their store
“Someone’s trying to align their chakras with their matcha’s “ 😂

Look.

Overall I DID enjoy the story and I think it’s a rather unique concept.

And!
I will be looking foreword to reads TWELVE when it come out 👍

( hopefully with less metaphors 😁👍)

My very first ARC - what a ride! 😍 There is a minor SPOILER in this review, be wary! (It is at the end of this review, so you are safe in the beginning 🤭)

This is the first book in a trilogy and boy, am I looking forward to the next ones! I devoured this book in two days and it's 484 pages long 😅

The story is set in a small town and follows Althea. Althea spends her days working in a bookstore and most of her nights with her friends. One day, a chance (?) encounter changes everything she believes in and her world gets turned upside down.

The banter, the wit, the humor, the friends,... It all feels so real and raw. The FMC is not a perfect human being, but she is very relatable. She knows she is flawed but does her best to navigate life with her trauma, which often results in sharp comebacks and a 'leave me alone'-attitude. She would do anything for the people she loves though.

The book reminded me a tiny bit of Twilight - the small town, two MMC's (and their entourage), the vibes. And this is not a bad thing, just to be clear 😅 Also Lights Out - because of the humor and banter, and Burn from me (from Ilona Andrews). The MMC's are 🔥🫠🤤 and definitely morally grey 🩶 The spice was spicy but not too much, and it is not a story where plot suffers for the spice. I thoroughly enjoyed the balance in both.

⚠️ minor SPOILER ⚠️ One of the things that stood out for me was the fact that Althea's mother has Alzheimers. As a daughter of a mother with early onset dementia (also Alzheimers), some of it was very hard to read. But I did it anyway (and I knew at the start from the trigger warnings) and I'm glad I did. It felt so real, it felt so vulnarable and totally relatable. It really helped me to feel less alone. That's what got me in the 'emotional damage'-part.

TLDR; 10/10, would recommend! Add it to your Goodreads! Also preorders are open! 📚💸🎁

Review from an ARC reader:

I have two toddlers and zero free time—but this book had me staying up until 2 AM.🥱📖

Eleven, completely defied every expectation I had. 🖤
As a mom of two toddlers, my reading time is usually nonexistent. I picked this up expecting a slow burn that I’d eventually fall asleep reading. Instead, it turned into an absolute, five-hour obsession. It is easily one of the freshest, most compelling stories I’ve picked up all year.
What makes this narrative truly sophisticated is how beautifully it balances high-stakes urban fantasy with deep, grounding emotional reality. The inclusion of Alzheimer’s disease within the plot brought an unexpected, heartbreaking depth. Watching the characters navigate that kind of cognitive decline added a layer of raw vulnerability that cut right through the supernatural chaos.
But let’s talk about Orion. There is something utterly irresistible about a dark-haired, broody biker with a sharp mind and effortless banter. The tension, the testing of boundaries, and the magnetic chemistry in their dynamic kept me completely captivated. 🏍️🔥
On the flip side: Riven. My instincts warned me about him from the start. His entitled, uninvited appearances and subtle manipulations screamed "psycho douche" beneath a polished veneer. Safe to say, my gut was 100% right. 🙄
Thankfully, the core friend group balanced the emotional weight and chaos perfectly. Their genuine warmth, witty banter, and authentic loyalty brought so much life and levity to the narrative—offering a much-needed breath of fresh air.
With its brilliant blend of supernatural elements, deep-seated family secrets, and intense mystery, the execution kept me entirely invested. But that ending? Completely jaw-dropping. I am still trying to process it. 💀🤯
Rating: 4.5/5 🌟
For fans of: Dark urban fantasy, high-stakes mystery, and complex, magnetic love interests.

I need book two. Like, immediately.

Eleven sucked me in with the mystery, but Althea is what really sold me on this book. She is unapologetically herself: sarcastic, stubborn, funny, and incredibly easy to root for. Her internal dialogue and one-liners had me laughing out loud throughout the book, and I loved that her personality never disappeared even as things got darker and the stakes got higher.

And then we have Orion and Riven. I have QUESTIONS. So. Many. Questions. I feel like we were given just enough information about both of them to make me completely invested while simultaneously realizing that I know NOTHING, and I desperately need to know more. The mystery surrounding them, and Althea’s connection to everything happening around her, kept me wanting answers the entire time.

I also really enjoyed the way this starts with a relatively normal, grounded FMC and gradually pulls her into something much bigger, stranger, and darker than she ever believed existed. There are so many little pieces being dropped throughout the story that you know are going to matter, but you don’t quite understand how they all fit together yet.

AND THAT ENDING?!

That cliffhanger was 🤌 chef’s kiss. The exact kind of ending that makes you stare at the last page for a second before immediately flipping back and forth between the last page and the acknowledgement page wondering if they’re stuck together and you’re missing vital information. It answered enough to feel satisfying while simultaneously opening an entirely new can of worms, and now I NEED to know what happens next.

I will absolutely be continuing The Thirteen Trilogy.

A completely different read from the books I usually gravitate towards… but I am SO glad I signed up for this ARC!

This was my first book by author P. Carreira, and you can tell she has really done her research. The archangel storyline had all the beginnings of something you could have pulled straight from the history books, but with a modern, morally grey twist that made it feel fresh and intriguing.

As heartbreaking as the Alzheimer’s storyline was, it was also one of the most real and emotional parts of the book. It touches on a heartbreak that so many people and families live with every single day — watching their mothers or loved ones slowly lose their memories, forget who they are, and become trapped in a version of their past. It added a depth to the story that I definitely wasn’t expecting.

Now, I’m a sucker for a bad boy, so naturally I fell for Orion. 😂 His quick wit paired perfectly with Althea’s smart mouth, and their banter was exactly the kind of dynamic I love.

And Riven… DON’T even get me started. 🚩😂 He gave me the ick from the very beginning. He was way too clingy, way too quickly, and that is an instant nope from me!

But that CLIFFHANGER?! 😳🫠 I genuinely did not see that coming. Just when I thought I had a handle on where the story was going, P. Carreira threw that at me and left me staring at the page like… excuse me?! 😂

I am normally NOT a fan of waiting for the next book, because patience is absolutely not my strong suit when it comes to a series… but after that ending, I already know this one is going to be worth the wait.

Overall, this was definitely different from my usual reads, but I’m so glad I took a chance on it. It had history, emotion, morally grey characters, romance, banter and a cliffhanger I absolutely wasn’t prepared for.

Now excuse me while I patiently (and by patiently, I mean impatiently 😂) wait for the next book. 🖤

Eleven was never meant to exist — not in this world, not in any world. When the angels descend, they aren’t saviors. They’re hunters, and every mirror date is a countdown to the next body they’re sent to erase.

Thea’s grief doesn’t arrive quietly — it claws through every part of her life. A mother slipping into the fog of Alzheimer’s, a father who thinks money can replace love, and a childhood marked by a near‑death miracle she was never supposed to survive. At twenty‑four, she’s stubborn, sarcastic, feisty, and funny — a girl shaped by trauma but never defined by it.

And then there are the men who orbit her.
Riven drifts in like warmth she didn’t ask for — clingy, smooth, easy‑going, always appearing exactly where she doesn’t want him.
Orion watches her like a storm waiting to break — hot, mysterious, moody, full of half‑truths and sharp wit, calling her Little Devil with a mix of warning and devotion she doesn’t know how to handle.

Together, they pull Thea into a world where grief, identity, and destiny collide — and where surviving might mean choosing who she becomes when the angels finally arrive.

I absolutely loved the secrets and the mystery this book unveiled as I continued until the final page. Every chapter peeled back another layer, and I could feel Thea’s emotional turbulence — her pain, her heartbreak, and the hollow ache of losing her mother long before death ever arrived. Alzheimer’s didn’t just steal the woman she knew; it left her stranded with memories she could no longer share, a grief that felt both sharp and suffocating.

And then that cliffhanger hit. It didn’t just leave me wanting more — it left me full of questions, theories, and a desperate need for answers only book two can give. Unfortunately, now I have to wait… and this story is the kind that makes waiting feel like its own kind of torment.

ARC Review

Five stars and a massive cliffhanger.

This book had me saying "what the f*** is going on?” for most of the time, and somehow I loved every second of it.
Creepy, mysterious, addictive, and somehow impossible to put down. Every time I thought I understood what was happening, this book threw another plot twist at me and left me with even more questions.
The banter? Loved it. The tension? Loved it. The characters? Loved them. Orion? YEAH ORION.
My only complaint:
THAT CLIFFHANGER.
Five stars, minus the emotional damage. I need the next book immediately.

I’ve been looking forward to this one since Ms. P. Carreira announced it and as always she never disappoints. This one started with so much fun, a group of girls going out clubbing to unwind and then it takes a turn to hot guys 🥵, biblical twists 😇 😈, unanswered questions, spicy hookups 🔥 and unsure who to trust with all the secrets. Like all her other books I devoured it and I definitely recommend 💯 but the ending 😩…. I need TWELVE 😭…. this is torture at its best! #althea #orion #riven #eleven #pcarreira

I don't know what P puts in her books but I eat them up every single time! Eleven is a book about a woman named Althea who has gone through some tough times. This book has really good representation of handling family medical issues, difficult family relationships, and has realistic ways that people deal with shitty life situations. All that being said, this book still is a fantasy with dark elements. I can not wait to read the next book!

What a wild ride! Althea is such a fun MFC and just trying to live her life while dealing with her family issues.
Until some unexpected men fall into her life ....literally 😉.... and everything starts to get confusing and hectic.

Althea is a strong MFC and I loved her banter with her friends and the MMCs. This was such a good story and it definitely left me ready for book 2!

The spice is AMAZING as well! So well written!

This book was so good, loved Althea. The twists and turns having you coming back for more. I seriously stayed up til 4 am reading and fell sleep with my kindle in hand, holding on to the story so hard I woke up with a cramp in my hand from gripping my kindle. And, of course, there is a cliffhanger, which honestly has me on edge for the next book! An interesting and enjoyable read to say the very least!!

I’m not typically a romantascy reader and this is definitely more in that avenue but I did really enjoy this.
I love books with a good banter and spent most of this book smirking.
This one is STEAMY giving it a solid 4 chili peppers.
Open door, with hot dangerous men you should have absolutely nothing to do with who is absolutely lying to you.(those ones are the ones we always go for though 🫣)
This is a fast paced read full of secrets lies betrayal and yes, a lot of xxx.
4 stars for me!

Spoiler Free ARC Review

Eleven. There is something very special about that number and we begin to learn about it with the first book in a new trilogy by the brilliant P. Carreira

I will say, as much as normally dive head first and omit reading trigger warnings, please read these. She handles with so much care the topic of Alzheimers as it affects my own personal life. These sections of the story had me in tears.

Now the characters. A feisty FMC that is doing what she can to stay relatively sane while dealing with trauma, depression, and learning secrets while being played around.

The 2 males in our story.... one you will think ohhhhh ok I like him, one you will think, ohh he sounds like trouble... let me tell you right now, you will need to read this and pick a side. I am for sure team Orion.

Of course to true traumatic jaw dropping fashion, the queen of cliffhangers, did not disappoint at all as we are left wondering and having to wait for book 2.

Thank you for the opportunity and thank you for adding Orion to my collection of book boyfriends 😏

I absolutely devoured this ! It’s vastly different from Ps other books , it’s interesting , has a great plot and the spice ? Perfect !

The fmc Althea is a strong independent, way too stubborn for her own good, sarcastic an absolute baddie for an fmc. When her and her best friends are together , it’s a riot . The tension really starts right off the start between her and the mmc , and i was so here for it. But kind of ignored some of the red flags that were happening around her.

The mmc Orion . He’s a mysterious man, very morally grey who has no boundaries. But for a good reason . Him and Althea are funny together when they get into the banter , which is quite a bit throughout the story . I need to see more of him !

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC of Eleven.

I’ve read stories about celestial beings before, but Eleven delivers a fresh, intriguing take on the connection between angels and humans. The story opens with Althea Williams, a 24‑year‑old woman carrying enough trauma to fill two lifetimes starting with a near‑death accident at a year old, a mother fading away in a care facility due to rapidly progressing dementia, and a wealthy father who believes money is the solution to every problem.

Althea doesn’t handle grief gracefully. Her coping mechanisms swing between partying hard with her best friends and trying to numb herself through hookups. She’s messy, flawed, and painfully human, which makes her the perfect focal point for a story about humans born on mirror dates. Born on 11/11, Althea becomes entangled with two mysterious men, Orion and Riven, who arrive in her life carrying secrets, half‑truths, and enough tension to keep the pages turning.

I genuinely enjoyed the world‑building, the side characters, and the overall arc of the story. The mythology behind mirror‑date births is compelling, and the emotional stakes stay high throughout. There were moments where the pacing dragged, and the heavy use of metaphors occasionally pulled me out of the narrative. The repeated “eye‑rolling” reactions became noticeable after a while. Still, none of these issues stopped me from enjoying the story or appreciating the unique concept the author created.

Eleven is atmospheric, emotional, and imaginative — a strong start to what feels like a much bigger world.

I LOVED this book! From the very beginning, you’re instantly thrown into the drama and difficulties of Althea’s life, and I was completely hooked.

The way this book is written with so much humor (like, all the time 😂) was amazing. I loved the writing, the world, the characters… everything. And Orion? Yeahhh, that’s my man. 😏 AHHH, the scene where they meet was just so freaking delicious. The tension between them?? I was GONE. This author writes her spicy scenes so well. I felt completely consumed by the tension and passion between them.

I also want to mention that there is Alzheimer’s representation in this book, in case that could be a trigger for you. It was such a beautiful but heartbreaking part of Althea’s life.

And the SECRETS. The MYSTERY. There is so much going on, and somehow the questions just keep piling up until the very end. I finished this book thinking "this can not be the end" with absolutely no patience. 😭

It is genuinely painful knowing I have to wait for the sequel. I NEED IT ASAP. I need Althea’s story to continue. I need to figure out what the hell is happening. I am completely invested in Althea's journey, these winged men... and I already need the next book in my hands.

P. Carreira, respectfully… I need answers. 😭

I was happily able to read this as an ARC Copy.
(Wich i am very gratefull for!!)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶🌶🌶 (not overdone, but certainly not slacking in it!)

And im impressed!!
Tbh, it was my first paranormal mystery/ dark fantasy. And in some way i can absolutely call this a Dark Romance too!

And i loved it!

Riven: The Light "Angel". A Watcher (and Hunter) in disquise, falling for the girl he was suppose to keep close, but did he really?

Orion: The Dark "Angel". A Fallen One, and my absolute favorite! but question yourself if it was right..

Althea: The "normal" human girl, who just thought she fell for 2 man. Orion, with his mysterious and luring behaviour, who woke up something questionable in her. And Riven, who just happen to be in the right place at the right time.

Was it all just a coinsidence, was it all a plan? Who will tell? Because although the ending did gave some answers, it also raised a lot more questions! Like, what the heack happend with Althea just now?!?!
And i cant wait to see how it continues!

I rooted for Orion, all the way!! Because somehow, the Dark always brings some light!
And the man is just perfect!

Now that ive finished the first book, im in a big need for the next!
Im hooked!!

ARC Review

I was not sure what to expect going into this book but it definitely wasn’t this!! I DEVOURED this book. Our FMC is thea, a normal girl going through the troubles that life brings. An absent dad and unfortunately a mom who has Alzheimer’s.

The title 11 is connected to the premise of mirrored numbers. Throughout the book you find out what exactly that will entail….its not good.
Thea meets two men in this book, Orion, a tall, dark, broody man who tries to keep his distance but just can’t. Then we have Riven, who is the complete opposite, he gives off all the “perfect man” vibes but is definitely way more into their relationship then thea is. He is always showing up and basically goes from 0-100 with their relationship.

This book is hard to describe without giving too many spoilers, just know that it has everything you need for a good book. It has a broody MMC that we all love, it has spice, it has jealousy, it has touch her and die, it has it ALL.
🌶️🌶️/5

This rating is definitely carried by the plot because I genuinely could not put this book down and finished it in one sitting. The mystery surrounding Althea, Orion, Riven, and everything happening around them was so intriguing. Every time I thought I might be getting answers, I was left with about eleven more questions (see what I did there). And that ending?! Excuse me?!
I will say the writing felt a little clunky and repetitive at times, which occasionally made it harder for me to stay fully immersed. Even with that, the story itself kept pulling me back in because I needed to know what was going to happen next.
I also really appreciated the way the Alzheimer’s storyline was handled. It was heartbreaking and added such a deeply human layer to everything Althea was already experiencing. And I LOVED her girlfriends. Their friendship, humor, and the way they showed up for her were easily some of my favorite parts of the book.
Overall, Eleven gave me mystery, emotion, morally questionable men, and approximately one million unanswered questions. I’m so ready for book two because I NEED answers!

This book you will pull you in to where you don’t want to put it down. A celestial book telling with things unwinding right in front of you plot twists and things you weren’t expecting to happen do be happening. Orion one of the mmcs became my favorite even though he decided to get all in the grove with Thea the fmc and up and leaves because he seen the scar she got as a child. The other mmc is named Rivan I liked him at the start too but reading on which I won’t spoil he became my least favorite because he is shady.

The book does have its serious moments but also has some really funny moments and the back and forth banter between both Orion and Thea. I didn’t want to the story to end but I now can’t wait to read what happens next in the future books.

**Disclaimer**. Arc was provided by the author via BookFunnel. All opinions expressed are my own.

The story centres on our FMC Althea and is the first book of a trilogy. It is a celestial based story, with 2 morally gray MMCs, both with their secrets. As the story progresses Althea slowly starts to uncover truths around her birth date and ‘mirror dates’ and her connection to the celestial world.

Starting this book I didn’t connect with Althea, and her friend group. I felt they came across as arrogant rather than witty banter. But I really warmed to Althea through the story, and as we got more of her background (mother with Alzheimer’s and absent father) you could see where her character was coming from. The book had several spicy chapters, which were written well. With the chemistry between Althea and Orion being electric.

I loved that this was a different take on the human/angel dynamic, and that the storyline is fast paced. I will def look forward to the rest of the series.

🌟Many thanks to the author P. Carreira for the opportunity to read this advanced copy 🌟

I was kindly offered to preview this book before it was released and all I can say was I’m glad I signed up!

It definitely gives you that energy of what’s going to happen next! Also the men in this book will make you dream about having an angel boyfriend 😂. I’ve never looked at angels in this kind of light and well 🥵🥵🥵 that’s all I’m saying.

This book has the right level of trauma, drama, romance, friendship and smut. I just didn’t want it to end 😩

The only thing I want to say is that the dialogue of the characters was a bit repetitive but regardless the book will still keep you hooked!

I NEED MORE!! Can’t wait for the second one!

Wow, I have no words. Somehow this book sucked me in and wouldn't let go!!

I loved Althea and her drive, her wittiness, her sadness, her story. I felt in my soul her pain and couldn’t imagine what she was going through. She was everything you could ask for in a character, and I wanted to be her bestie! Orion? Yes, please! I have a thing for dark characters, what can I say? Riven... ehhh, not my type in a story, but still a fantastic character no less. I'm really looking forward to where things go with these three characters.

The pacing of the story is quick and fast, giving you little time to breathe before the next thing happens, and I'm here for it. There are so many secrets waiting to be revealed in the coming books. There were several moments where I thought I knew where the story was going, but then I was thrown for a loop and knocked back down a peg or two.

Basically, I need answers lol.

Fair warning: there is a cliffhanger ending and so much more to dive into and unpack. This is book 1, of course, so we are building our world, learning about the characters' stories, and setting up what feels like a much bigger journey.

I am mad. So mad that book two isn't already out. How could you leave it like that!

I am thoroughly honored to have been chosen to be an ARC reader for this book. It was by far the best ARC I've gotten to date. I literally was finding time throughout my day to pick this up even if I could only read a page at a time because I was that invested!

This was my very first experience reading one of P. Carreira’s books and let me just say, I will be binging her books whenever I’m able 😩. This was also my first experience reading a book that involved biblical elements and I ate it uppp!

I absolutely adore Althea and her whole character. She’s one of the very few I read about that I can see pieces of myself in and relate to. She had me giggling for at least 80% of the book. Her quick wit, sarcasm, and dark humor was absolutely everything, I love how she was an fmc who had a backbone and never let herself be walked all over.

As for Orion, I was rooting for him from the start 😭 the whole time, Riven gave me weird vibes. it bothered me (in a good way) that I couldn’t put my finger on what made me feel that way about him until about 50% of the way through when it clicked.

I’m so thankful I was able to ARC read this book, I will very much be impatiently waiting for book two because that cliffhanger had me about to scream 🥲
