Book 2 has Elaine, Audrey and Michelle finishing off final touches to open The Birchwood House. Three generations of family work hard and enjoy being part of this project. Meanwhile, Grandmother Elaine disrupts grumpy baker Shep's life when she asks him to be a partner in The Birchwood House. Michelle wonders why old rival Theo has been avoiding her. I really love the emphasis on love being possible at any age. True love can conquer anything.

There’s a gentle beauty in the way this story brings family, friendship, and community together. Birchwood House, reborn from a family home into a hotel, feels like a place where new beginnings take root. These characters find purpose, belonging, and hope in the most touching ways. I’m eager for the next chapter in this series.

Needs some new words

Everything is "darling". Everyone gets a partner immediately. Nothing goes wrong. Yikes! Every outfit is described in detail. I've had it.

Great story either way lots of sentimental events for the women!! They are quite the team and the men are endearing!!
