Heart is part two in Joey Hill’s serial, Naughty Wishes. In part one, Body, we were introduced to Samantha, Geoff, and Chris, three roommates who have just started to explore what appears to be a BDSM focused menage. Samantha goads Geoff while Chris is away on business and Sam discovers that Geoff is the Dom she hoped for. They know the circle isn’t complete without Chris, but when he walks in to find them together, he’s terribly hurt, feeling that he was left on the outside. Part two starts as Samantha goes to comfort him.
As you can see from the review, I really loved the opening to this serial. Part two is longer and we have Chris in the picture, making this into a true menage series it was hinting at. I love that the characters aren’t all sorted out from the beginning. Geoff is clearly a Dom, but Chris is more layered and complex. He isn’t a submissive, that’s clear, but not the alpha Dom that Geoff oozes with ease. It’s also not apparent if Geoff and Chris have mutual attraction for each other. That aspect of the relationship has yet to be explored. True to Joey Hill’s style, this is a more cerebral series, with an emphasis on the budding relationships, the emotions involved, and the sexual action between these three. We certainly get to see them outside, to temper that intensity, but this is, first and foremost, a series about three people coming together and finding their way. Hill has always been a master at the dirty and emotional sex scene. There are times that I long for her more sadistic side, but I still have her amazing Vampire Queen series for that. Chris finally comes around and we get a taste of what’s to come for these three. The marker on the back scene…..you’ll have to read to find out what that means, but trust Joey Hill to never bore you with the cliche. More conflict is clearly on the horizon and I’m excited most to see how Chris handles it all. This is shaping up to be a very satisfying serial.

Let me start off with holy cow...the rope play was hot as hell. I'm was wiggly and hot at the beginning, fanning myself in the middle, and oh damn at the ending of Naughty Wishes Part II: Heart. Joey W. Hill has taken Chris, Sam, and Geoff to a high point in the beginning of their relationship in this next installment of this amazing series. She has love, tenderness, stress, fear, and standing on the tip of a blade going on. The love for Sam is perfect, but what over rides the love of both Geoff and Chris for her.....is the love that both men have for each other, but not sure how, or when to show it, has my heart throbbing. The wait for the next installment is going to drive me NUTS!!

The heat just got turned up! While Part 1 of this seies was mostly abou Geoff and Sam, Part 2 focuses more on Chris and Sam. After discovering Geoff and Sam together in a shower, Chris was understandably angry. It took him a while to process what was going on between Geoff and Sam and where did he fit into that relationship? At Geoff's direction, Chris took Sam to his bed and exerted his own type of dominance over her. Eventually, things worked out although not perfectly. They are definitely all a work in progress. Chris begins to understand his Alpha tendencies and the nature of Sam's submission to them both.
What's next for the trio? Chris and Geoff must come to terms with their deeply hidden feelings for each other while all three continue to explore their their menage romance.

Ms. Hill’s writing doesn’t hold me in thrall like it used to - I think her writing style of slow, deep introspection about the subtleties of BDSM relationships is wonderful for people new to the concepts. I do still enjoy her writing though. This is a good serial, and it was satisfying to watch the trio find their way together. I really liked that this was not a menage with the two men only pleasing the woman, instead it was a true triad, with all three mixing it up.

Another amazing continuation of this series. Joey W. Hill is wonderful and slowly unraveling and revealing the layers of her characters. Naughty Wishes is exceptional in her process. Geoff, Chris and Sam continue their story.

Review for Naughty Wishes 1-4 by Joey W. Hill
I’m reviewing all four parts of the Naughty Wishes series by Joey W. Hill in this one review, so please keep that in mind. I will keep details vague to prevent any major spoilers.
Samantha, Geoff, and Chris are roommates. They’ve formed a close bond and have become a unit. The truth of things is that their is an attraction that runs deep between the three of them. This book follows their journey as they stumble through the growing pains of transforming their platonic friendships into lovers. The added complication is that they all love each other and have the desire to keep their unit whole.
I absolutely love this series. Samantha is so giving and loving. Tired of dropping subtle hints to Geoff and Chris, she took matters into her own hands and left Geoff no doubt what she wanted from him. It took a lot courage and I completely respect her for that. She’s a strong character, especially taking on the strong personalities of the two men she loves and helping them to not only claim their love for her, but also their need for each other.
Geoff, holy dominant Batman! Talk about hot, hot, hot. He’s a strong character and demands submission from Samantha — which she is more than happy to give. He understands what a gift it is and cherishes her like he should. The hiccup is that he also wants submission from Chris who has a desire to submit, but can’t get over the hang up that it’ll make him seem weak. Watching Geoff tread the rough waters of both parts of their triad and grow as not only a dominant, but a man and lover made it impossible not to fall in love with him.
Then we have Chris who is a bit of a question mark. Finding where he fit into their three-way love wasn’t as simple. He had a hard time wrapping his head around Samantha’s need for full submission to Geoff, not to mention wrapping his head around his own hidden desires to submit to Geoff’s will. I think watching him go through this journey was the most fulfilling. He had the most growing to do as a character and the author wrote his character in a way that you could feel every single emotion he had throughout the book.
The polyamorous relationship that these three characters share is beautiful. There is a perfect balance of push and pull during the story and each novella leaves you in a place where you can’t wait to dig into the next. Four Stars for storyline and Five Drenched Panties.
Reader Beware: This book may cause spontaneous combustion! The smut is phenomenal and you’ll be a melted puddle of lust with each one. Types of scenes: M/F, M/M, M/F/M, F/M/M.

Oh, this is clever! Chris walking in on Geoff and Sam naked in the shower - then walking out in anger/disgust/resentment - leads to a really terrifying tightrope walk of "What Happens Next?"
Sam feeling guilty because she pushed Geoff into revealing his feelings; Geoff feeling guilty because he allowed Sam to get her own way (for once); and Chris feeling guilty because he didn't reveal his feelings soon enough. Oh what a tangled web Ms Hill weaves.
Lots of talking things out; lots of trying to explain how each one feels; and lots of dirty, HOT sex !!
A lovely episode when visiting Madison's "Naughty Bits" **waves hand in front of blushing face**; and an equally enlightening visit to Logan's Hardware shop next door.

Oh, this was such a great addition to part 1, Body. The Naughty Wishes serial, in general, is one heck of a read - filled with great characters and a whole lot of awesome!
I love Sam, Geoff, and Chris - the whole trio are awesome. As they continue to fall even deeper for one another, there are different challenges they all have to face. Flo also continues to add in some extra oomph to the book with her and Sam's conversations at work.
And this ends at quite a high point, where I am more than a bit excited to dive into part 3, Mind. Something tells me epic things are about to happen! I cannot wait to dive in!

Joey W. Hill is one of the smartest authors I know. How else could an “instant gratification” girl like myself fall in love with a serial romance? In this second installment Geoff and Samantha have to deal with Chris and his confusion about his place in their lives. I love that he is never mean to them no matter how hurt he is. When he finally allows himself to explore this new dynamic he is a force to be reckoned with. I am really loving watching these three grow together.

Naughty Wishes Part II: Heart is Samantha and Chris's part, and the part in which Sam and Geoff clean up the mess they made with Chris in Part I: Body. Months have passed since I read it. I couldn't write a proper review now even if I tried, but I did write a few thoughts about the whole series here.

Hot!!! What a amazing work of art. I was fanning myself most of the book. Once you start reading this book you will not but it down. Joey is one of those authors that once you read one you'll have to read them all. I recommend this book highly.

Part 11 and Joey W. Hill has me hooked on this series.
Samantha, Geoff and Chris are in a struggle and knowing which way to pull or push is making life difficult for all of them.
This part gives us some more clarity and things get interesting.
