When Allie and Lucy went on a bus tour of the Halloween-decorated homes so they could vote for their favorite, they ran into another body, this time one of the homeowners was inside a Halloween inflatable snow globe, a decoration that wasn’t in character for the woman who’d done the display.
Allie and Lucy were in amateur sleuthing mode once more taking goodies to the grieving widower and questioning everyone from the Chamber of Commerce director to said grieving widower. You'll never believe where the showdown took place. It was short but satisfying. Trick or treat was the next day and I loved the family banter at the end, too cute and just priceless. Only Allie, lol.

This made me long for the Halloween season! The details regarding weather, decorations and treats made for the perfect fall n atmosphere, I'm glad it was a gloomy day while I read this so add to the feel. This one follows the same basic formula as usual, made charming by familiar characters and the addition of a house decorating contest and of course some great details of Halloween treats

This was a lot of fun! I love this author's holiday stories. (Her others are great, too, but the holiday ones really make me happy!)
