Been following Emily’s journey since the beginning & was super grateful to be apart of the ARC team!

This book was amazing! Such a great debut & I can only see this Trilogy going up more! I read 3 chapters & wanted to keep going but I couldn’t, came back the next day & binged it all in one go.

Nothing too complex here. Easy to understand about the academy & the how and what of everyone. I’d love to be considered for a place thnx in advance xxx

Such fun side characters that stole my heart!!

I don’t think there was much romance going on.. it was there but it didn’t take away anything from the plot going on!! I’d say this is more plot vibes & I actually LOVED this type. It’s different to the usual I’ve read.

A huge page turner with twists & turns towards the end and you can feel it building up for the next one!

Super excited to see where this goes - the last 20% was action packed & sets us up for the next one!!!

For a debut novel?! Emily, I am SO impressed

One of my favourite things about Beneath Our Veins is that it genuinely felt different. I read a LOT, so finding a concept that doesn’t immediately remind me of three other books is getting increasingly difficult, but this managed it!

I was hooked ridiculously quickly. What started as “I’ll just read a few chapters” very quickly became me needing to know what the hell was going to happen next, and I ended up flying through it in a couple of days

The plot absolutely takes centre stage here and I loved that. There’s romance woven through, but it never overshadows everything else going on. Instead, we get an intriguing academy setting, unique magic systems, characters I became attached to far too quickly, and this constant feeling that there was something else waiting around the corner

And THEN the twists started twisting!

The further I got, the more emotionally invested I became. Every time I thought I had something figured out, something else happened and completely changed where I thought we were going. The final stretch had me absolutely glued to my Kindle

Original, addictive, emotional and such a strong start to a trilogy. If THIS is Emily debut, I genuinely cannot wait to see what she does next

ahhh first of all thank you so much to Emily for having me on the ARC team!! I’ve had Emily on booktok since she started posting about her writing journey so I was super excited to see what she wrote and I cannot express how amazing this book was for a debut?! I’m gagging for book 2!!

If you’re like me and you love Dark Academia, but you need something a little extra to give that edge so they’re not the same old same old, THIS hit that exact spot!! The premise was so unique, the characters were all so well written & I was hooked the whole time!!

I really don’t want to give out spoilers as I defo think everyone should read this one & it will be so loved but think magical awakening, dark vs light magic, secrets & betrayal, trials and range of magical abilities … if you’re into fantasy/dark academia/dystopian vibes plsss add this to your list for its release in October, you won’t regret it - then you can join me in patiently waiting for book 2🙂🤣

Oh wow! I honestly was not expecting THAT! Firstly for this ladys first ever book…this was INCREDIBLE! The plot was fast paced for a fantasy which was honestly so nice! The twist was great! I genuinely really loved this book! I cannot wait for the next part, i had goosebumps reading that last 15% and i NEED to know what happens next immediately!

There is romance within this book but i am so happy to see it didn’t take centre stage over the plot! Also love the fact it was relatable about its wording over family and friends! The way the scenes are described was perfect for my imagination to really build this world within my head and was so easy to fall in love with both the world and the characters!

So proud of the author for this amazing piece of work! i cannot wait for the next!

Well I’ve read this book twice now after being trusted as a Beta reader and I just want to say how incredible the magic system is in this book! I’ve not read anything similar to this before in terms of how magic is obtained and I loved the entire concept.

Twists and turns happen a lot throughout the book, and the author is correct when she says there will be a moment when you hate every character in this book. Whether it’s because of the bad decisions they make, the way they act or just the pure evil they radiate.

The author is also an absolute angel and has worked so hard to bring this to life!

This was such an interesting concept of fantasy x dark academia and I loved how plot driven this was. I love how we weren’t just focused on the main characters even the side characters had important roles to play!

I literally have binged this in a day and it felt like no time at all it kept me engaged and guessing the different plot twists.

Looking forward to book 2 of the trilogy!

I watched Emily’s journey writing this book and I loved being one of her ARC readers🫶🏻 This is one of the most original fantasy novels I’ve read so far. Zoelle’s story burned a hole through my heart, as well as Alaric, Fi and others🥺 The romance subplot had a very nice evolution, although I DID NOT APPRECIATE THE ENDING, Em!! You cruel little being🫠 My poor baby Zo..
Ofc, I needed more Ezra and Zoelle scenes, but I can’t wait for them in book 2✨The ending left me in pieces and questions, so I bet the next one will be just as good or even better!!

This is a great debut novel, Emily really takes on the job of writing a fantasy and puts her own twist on it.

The twists and turns keep you hooked and wanting to know how the full story is going to play out. I can’t wait for the next instalments.

Zoelle and Ezra are great main characters, as are the side characters. The trauma they have all been through to get to where they are and how much more they are likely going to have to go through is immense.

I loved this book. The characters and their development was amazing. The plot was unexpected but in a sense that I didn't think in that direction.
