After following the Wynter and her family through every book, opening Emerald Fall felt like coming home.

Sara Creasy has created characters that feel so real, they're more like old friends than fictional people. Catching up with Wynter, Indio, Caleb, Jesse and the rest of the family and friends was everything I'd hoped for, and once again I found myself completely immersed in their lives.

What I love most about this series is that every character is allowed to grow. They make mistakes, face difficult decisions and experience life's ups and downs in ways that feel authentic and relatable. Every relationship is beautifully written, and it's impossible not to care deeply about what happens next.

This is definitely a series that should be read from the beginning, because the emotional payoff comes from watching these characters grow over so many books. Every new instalment builds on that history and makes returning to their world such a rewarding experience.

I wasn't ready for this book to end. The final pages have left me hoping with all my heart that Sara Creasy has many more stories to tell about the Wynter and her family, because I'm simply not ready to say goodbye.

The latest instalment in the life of Wynter Wilde and her extended family.
Having read the whole series a number of times, I was so excited to be selected for an advanced copy of the latest book

This book has the family back together in Seattle, some more settled than they were in earlier books, others still finding their way in life and romantic relationships
What I love is the way the author writes about the characters with such detail that I feel that I actually know them, and can (usually) predict the way they will behave.
The family relationships are intricate, intertwined and full of love, yet there are very definite flashpoints and disagreements based on their different outlooks and individual principles.

This is NOT a standalone book, it is very much part of the series, and would mean nothing if you haven’t read the earlier 11 books (plus a few short stories)
Most excitingly, there were a couple of real cliffhangers, and a couple of future events that suggest there will be another book in this series.

If you’ve not read the series, start with Little Sister Song and binge read, because once you’re invested in the characters it’s impossible not to need to know where they go………..

Like I have with all of the Wynter Wild series I started this book and couldn't put it down. Emerald Fall takes you on a journey with our favorite siblings as they navigate multiple changes in their lives. While I've always been partial to Wynter and Indio's perspective I found myself so invested in the lives of Caleb and Jesse this time around. Both men (weird to refer to Jesse as a man since he's just a goofy slightly older brother in my mind) are dealing with life changes not just in their living situation but with their partners as well. Without giving anything away this season and what comes next for Jesse will be interesting to follow. Caleb's need to always do the "right thing" is pushed to the limit when outside forces try to manipulate his goodwill. Indio and Wynter try their best to deal with the hands they've been given, their relationship is always so interesting to follow. I really enjoyed how it was "tested" in a way this time around. Slight spoiler but Luke has always been my favorite side character so I loved that he's appearing more. I will forever be capitavted by this family and I'm already eagerly awaiting the next chapters in their story.

Emerald Fall started a little slow for me, though. It wasn’t until about halfway through that I really felt the momentum kick in. The book only covers a few months in the characters’ lives, and the first half is mostly setup. I think part of why it didn’t hook me right away is that the characters weren’t all together on Tiger Mountain living everyday life. Everyone was popping in and out of the story more than I’m used to.

All of the characters are spreading their wings and forging their own paths, which makes sense — that’s just life. And the family bond is still there, the qualities that make each of them who they are haven’t changed. But I did miss seeing them all together. I love watching the siblings show up for each other, and I was thrilled when extended family made their way back into the story. I hope they have a bigger role in the next book because they represent stability and a parental figure.

I’m already looking forward to the next book to see where everyone ends up. So many storylines are still unresolved (Indio- can we PLEASE get this man a break?), and I just want all of them to find their happy ending after everything they’ve been through.

I have loved all of the Wynter Wild series of books and was absolutely thrilled to be chosen by the author to receive one of the advanced reader copies for this book.
Emerald Fall is the latest instalment in the series and I absolutely loved this book.
I became truly invested in this family and for me that is the sign of a brilliant series. It was so good catching up on the latest goings on with the family and once again, feeling every emotion that the characters feel.
I would certainly recommend this book and all the others in the series and I honestly cannot wait to find out what comes next for Wynter and her family.

So, so perfect! I am so emotionally invested in this family and their story. Indio 💔, I hope he’s able to eventually find happiness- he deserves it (I’m not a fan of Quinn, TBH, so I hope it’s not with her). Wynter as well, although Luke is taking things just a tad too slow for my liking, he is a gentleman and respects her. I do like him though. I read this in one sitting - it’s that good. I selfishly already want more!

I loved this book! The whole series hold a special place in my heart. This family is finally starting to get some happy endings even when it seems like the past just won’t let them. I am going to re read the whole series now because one book is never enough!

I have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Wynter Wild series. The characters are so beautifully written that I always feel a loss when I finish a book and can't wait to find out what happens next for each of these complex and interesting characters. I wasn't disappointed with this latest part of the story, Emerald Fall.

As alwsys the characters had their challenges with the reappearance of Miriam who throws yet another spanner in the works. Each character responding to this in their own way was so well portrayed and it was as always fascinating to see the effect she has on each of them.

It was lovely to see new relationships developing and older ones growing and for once there seemed to be mostly good news.

I was really sad when the.book ended and hope the loose ends mean that there is more to come in this series. I recommend it to everyone who asks what I'm reading as I want everyone to meet these characters and have the chance to read this brilliantly written series. It's worth reading them all starting with book 1, Little Sister Song. If you're anything like me you will not be able to put them down.

I can honestly say, I have really enjoyed this book. Once again, Sara Creasy has brought the dynamics, the emotions, and the details to life. I could not put this book down for any length of time once I started reading it. What a beautiful blending into the next book, The Twelve Days of Jessymas! If you have never read the stories of Wynter and her brothers, I recommend you start at the very beginning. It is a wonderful emotional roller coaster.
