Hurt You

Rate this book
All Antonio did was hurt her.
All he did was give her hell.
He took away everything good in her world.
Everything that ever mattered.

Jenny is used to putting on a brave facade, letting the outside world see her as wild and free. She is loyal and loves with her whole heart, loving others so much that she is willing to sacrifice herself in the process.

Jules was only supposed to be a diversion for Jenny. Fun times with no strings attached. She didn't intend to fall for Jules, a member of The Devil’s Crusader’s Motorcycle Club. But fall for him is exactly what she did.

Antonio has been wreaking havoc on her life since Jenny was sixteen years old. Now she is forced to marry Antonio to keep her loved ones safe, destroying the man she loves in the process and driving him away.

Riding back into town after years away, Jules discovers the woman he once loved no longer exists, and it’s up to him to see if he can bring her back.

NOTE TO READER: This book contains strong sexual scenes and violence against women. Jenny curses so if you can't stand the "f" bomb then avoid this one. This is book 3, however, each book in the series can be read as a stand alone.

When I read book two I was head over heals in love, I knew this was an author for me and that I not only loved book two(and I mean LOVED)Fight You but that I had to read book three. I wanted to read book one and got it but as crazy as this may sound to some (and I know it won't to all my crazy friends out there) I actually got scared to read book one. I loved book two so much I wasn't sure that anything else by this amazing author could stand up to it. I was a little scared to read this book as well but I couldn't not read it. Boy am I glad I didn't stop myself. If I could I would rate this book ten stars in fact only rating this book five seems wrong on so many levels.

When Jules and Jenny met Jenny had just broken it off with another guy, her rule was- it can't get serious. This rule was driven into her brain and she knew after what happened many times before that she had to stick to this rule. So breaking up with another guy Jenny wanted to let off some steaming. Ending up in a biker bar Jenny met Maura, they hit it off faster than Jenny could believe and she soon found her best friend but that night she also met Jules. Jules wasn't like any other man Jenny had ever met, and the attraction was like none other but Jenny knew the rules.

The more time Jenny spent with Maura the more she saw Jules and Jenny started to question the rules and wonder if she could get away with a little time with Jules. Taking a leap Jenny started to see Jule's and she was never more free or more happy and she soon fell very in love. But Jules didn't want to be a secret because he loved Jenny and event though he knew she was keeping something from him he loved her. When Antonio the man who set the rules so many years ago found out he did what he does best and reminder Jenny what happens when she breaks the rules. terrified Jenny finally found the courage to do what she knew she needed to do and broke Jule's and her heart.

Now years later Jenny is not the woman she was but Jenny kept her promise and as long as everyone she loves is safe and Happy Jenny is ok. When she finds out there is a tragedy Jenny knows she to be there even if she no longer see's anyone and very rarely see's her family, the deviation of this tragedy is something Jenny can't ignore no matter the cost to her. This sets into motion something Jenny never thought would happen, the question is will the risk be worth the reward.

Oh my gosh I loved this book, I didn't want to put it down. The second I picked it up and read the first sentence I was hooked. I couldn't read fast enough but I didn't want to finish this book. The stories Abby McCarthy writes are so beautiful she had me in tears, she broke my heart in this book and then proceeded to not only mend it but to make it better than ever. I cried, I laughed and I smiled so much reading this book. This is the type of book I needed and wish I could find more often. I am almost scared to read another book next because I'm not sure any could compare. We again are brought back to the wonderful world Mrs. McCarthy created and we see all the old characters as well as some new ones.

Jules was AMAZING I loved him so much I'm not sure if Jenny or me loved him more. He was perfect and everything Jenny needed. There was literally nothing I didn't love about him. Jenny was also an amazing heroine she was worthy of Jules and he her. Jenny was so strong and selfless to a fault trying to protect everyone she loved, I couldn't have asked for more in this book, well longer would have been nice because I was nowhere near ready for this book to end. I literally gasped out loud when I saw this was the end of the series Say it ain't so Abby, I am not at all ready to say goodbye. and I will gladly start a petition to get the spin off going that she takes about at the end of this book.

The way she writes such tough subjects is amazing and each and every time I have more and more respect for her not only in tackling these subjects but on how she handles them and the notes she writes at the end of the books. I told myself I would work on shorter reviews but it so hard when you read something as stunning as this book. This book has been moved to my re-read pile(as well as book two) and I will be reading book one now that it has become obvious to me that everything this author writes is written gold. This author has also moved to the very small list of authors that If they write it I will read it. Abby McCarthy just has it. I can't wait to read what she comes out with next. I just hope the wait isn't long.

*If your on the fence stop what your doing and get this book. If you haven't gotten this book and plan to stop what you are doing and get this book. in short stop what you are doing and get and read this book.

**one of my favorite quotes I couldn't not add: "Babe, you bleed, I bleed. I'm right there with you,"

I loved it!!!

The previous book in this series, Fight You, is one of my all time favorite stories so I had high expectations for Hurt You and it didn't disappoint. It was everything I hoped for and more. It was gripping, intense, hot, sweet, beautiful and heartbreaking.

Seriously this book made my heart hurt because I was so emotionally invested in Jenny and Jules' story. Jenny my heart broke for her. She would do anything to protect those she loves even if it means losing herself. Jules, I liked him in the previous books but he really stole my heart in this one. I was surprised at how sweet this badass biker could be at times. And when they were together is was beautiful. These two have some sizzling chemistry.

Overall an amazing story, one I won't forget. Can't wait to see what Abby McCarthy writes next.

As soon as I finished the last book, I started this one. It was just as good as the first two! I am so disappointed that it's the last, but hopefully the author will write Gino and Ari's story!! Also I need to see what happens with Jenni's brothers (hint, hint). These are books that will be left on my ereader so I can read them again and again!!

Title: Hurt You (Wrecked #3)

Rating: 4 Stars

Reviewer: Miri

Review:

This is my third book i read from Abby and this one has been my favorite one of the wrecked series.

In Hurt You we see the relationship of Jenny and Jules. I really enjoyed this story. I love MC books and this one did not disappoint for sure.

After meeting Jenny in book one ( Wreck You) I knew was going to love her story. sure enough her story of full of hope, loss, family, and love. Jenny and Jules embark on a hush hush relationship not because Jenny is worried about what others will think… but because she wants to protect him and everyone she loves.

unnamed-2

I really thought her story was going to be a bit wild in the sense of her personality and sure enough it wasn't like that. This story has twists that will make you want to cry… Jenny is a very strong person After starting i couldn't stop reading everything this girl went through.. what I read was a crazy suspenseful and really great story about two people in love and overcoming all of these trials that almost destroyed them.

Jules… he is quiet, very observant, and just a fucking sweetheart. I really loved him. He was to the point with no bullshit. At times my heart broke for him so much… but other times he just made all giddy with his sweetness.

unnamed-1

These two deserved to be together.. not only because i like them but because both of them are strong in different ways.

I would definitely recommend this story to those MC lovers out there. Abby has definitely gain a new reader.

Hurt You Teaser 3

Abby Excerpt

I looked away from the paper and met Jules’ eyes. He was searching mine trying to read my thoughts. He looked worried like he was nervous about what I would think. Jules moved a piece of hair behind my ear and then said, “I know. It doesn't do you justice.”

“Are you kidding me? I was thinking that I don't live up to the woman in the picture. Is that how you see me, Jules?”

In a flash, he closed the sketchpad and tossed it on the chair. He moved on top of me, holding himself up like he was going to do a pushup, his hands on each side of my head, “If you could only see how I see you.”

I gulped at his words. There is so much more to Jules than meets the eye. With him on top of me, staring down at me, whispering words to me that made me feel vulnerable and beautiful, I felt guilty. This happiness wasn't mine to have. I took advantage of the night, and now the sun was starting to rise. A ray of light peeked through a high glass block window telling me my time was up.

“Jules,” I began, then drew in a breath and continued, “Tonight has been amazing but…”

“Don’t you dare lay beneath me in my t-shirt and nothing else and try to give me some it’s not you, it’s me crap. You feel this right here.” He moved to his knees so that he was straddling my thighs then reached up between my legs and pressed his thumb right into my pussy, “That’s me inside of you. You feel all that wetness? That’s my cum and you coating my finger. You like me there, don't you?” His thumb moved over my clit and two fingers filled me up. I gasped. This was not going how I envisioned. I needed to get away and tell him this was a one-time thing. “You need me here, don’t you?”

Love love love this book!!! Abby McCarthy continues to shine. She really dug deep with Hurt you. It's Sons Of Anarchy meets Goodfellas! You have bikers and mobsters, but this is Jenny and Jule's story. Their journey is far from easy! It's down right heart wrenching. Word of advice, hang onto your heart and have the tissues ready... I got choked up quite a few times. Besides being emotional, Abby's refreshing witt and sarcasm that we have grown to love is present throughout the entire book! Making me laugh out loud. All of her books have just enough suspense and darkness... Making them all enthralling and entertaining reads. All her books can be read as standalones, but for a much greater impact, I suggest starting at book one....

Jules is the absolute perfect guy. He's a walking contradiction... He's a bad boy biker with a sweet romantic side! He is tough and tender. You can not help but love every thing about him. Especially his patience and devotion to Jenny. He is loyal to a fault! When they get together, wow! Sparks fly. It's beyond hot, sexy and dramatic. Their passion and love is palpable. Your adrenaline will be pumping and your heart will be aching. Jenny is the girl everyone wants as a friend. She's feisty and fun. She loves everyone in her life with all her heart and will do anything to protect them. She puts everyone's happiness before her own. Jenny is one tough cookie! Normally, she can hold her own, but there is one person, who she is deadly afraid of.. He is her dark and dangerous secret. He alone has the power to ruin not only her life, but her future with Jules. I was terrified for not only Jenny but everyone else involved. Stuff gets real. Be prepared.... This isn't a fairytale more like a twisted tale of love, sacrifice, betrayal and survival.

Abby did a wonderful job with weaving all her books together. I was so pleased to see her other characters and get deeper into their stories....The Devil's crusaders are back! What a great cast of characters!! At this point they are like family. I truly love them all. Maura will always be a favorite of mine. Her and Jenny make a great Thelma and Louise! I wish I could meet them out for a drink. This is another 5 Star read for Abby. I knew it from her first book, Wreck you, that Abby is a rising star!! She just gets better and better.... She has become one of my favorites. I will read anything she writes! Rock on sista!!

I hate to admit, but I forgot about this book. I was going through my TBR list and saw it. I skimmed a bit of books one and two to get back in the clubhouse and reassociate with the characters. I don't believe you would have to read them prior to this story, but it would definitely enhance your reading experience.

I felt for Jenny. She truly felt she had no where to turn and did anything and everything she could to keep her family safe. Jules tried, he really did.

LOVED the epilogue...and I really hope the spin off happens

I honestly didn't think I would like this story as much as Fight You from the synopsis but, I am pleasantly suprised. This series has some very hard subject matters to read but if you can tolerate it there are HEA's.

Hurt You by Abby McCarthy is the third and possibly final book in her Wrecked series. This is the story of Jules & Jenny that has been hinted at in the past two books but I had NO IDEA just how dramatic and devastating Jenny’s story truly was.

Since she was sixteen, Antonio has been letting her know that she is his, and in time, he will take her. He has physically harmed, threatened, and bribed any boyfriends she has had that have gotten too close to his prize. When she first meets Jules theres an acknowledgment between them but nothing more. But it is the lighting of the ember that becomes their love and ultimately, their sacrifice.

I placed my fingertips against the glass and touched my reflection where my face was still pink from his slap. "Goodbye," I whispered to myself and then left the woman I was for twenty-five years behind.~ Jenny

Jules is part of the Devil’s Crusaders MC. He is ex-military, competent, quiet, and the sweetest bad-boy biker you could ever meet. He is so intense in his feelings for Jenny that it will literally steal your breath away as you read. He knows that Jenny has a secret she is keeping from him and agrees to keep their romantic interludes on the down-low, for now. He has no idea the extent of the secret Jenny hides from every single person in her life, bearing the burden of Antonio and his threats against all those she loves on her shoulders alone.

You want me to make love to you Jenny or do you want me to fuck you becaue I can fuck you but I don't really think you want me to love you.~ Jules

I read - A LOT - like a book a day. I blog, I review. My reviews are NOT in depth, paragraphs upon paragraphs of words because, personally, I do not enjoy reading LENGTHY reviews and therefore do not like writing them. That being said (that I read so much), plots become difficult to remember sometimes, one book fades into another. It is hard to come across a book for me that will bring tears to my eyes at the pain (or joy) the characters are experiencing. It has been a while since I read such an emotionally engaging book, but this was one of those. I had the butterflies, the sinking stomach, the pounding heart, and the very wet, suspiciously teary eyes. If I could rate this one 6 stars I am pretty sure I would. Well done Abby - Maura and Aubrey’s stories were amazing, but Jenny’s is out of the park.

If you have NOT read this series you should. While each CAN be read as a standalone, they will make better sense and flow much more beautifully if you read them in order. Wreck You, Fight You, and finally, Hurt You.

Life isn't full of easy choices but the ones we make are sometimes the hardest. Jenny is fun, loving and life of the party, she holds her family dear to her heart and will do anything to protect them. Jenny comes from a strong Italian family were they come together no matter the cost. Some might say Jenny is weak but I have to differ she strong and the decisions she makes in her life makes her a stronger person, there aren't to many people that would sacrifice there own happiness for there family.

Antonio is just pure evil, narcissistic, he has been stalking Jenny since her teenage years and was waiting to strike ( just like a viper) there prey. Antonio stop at nothing to have Jenny and when he did he treated her like garbage.

Jenny is head over heels in love with Jules he is part of the Devil Crusaders, they say opposites attract and these two are definitely different but the love they have for each other is so hard to kill, but with the betrayal from Jenny, it just dies but the spark is still there with all the time that has passed even though she belongs to another will it be enough for them to move forward and rekindle or will it destroy everything.

This is a page turner and you will fall in love with every character in this book, trust me we would all love to have a Jules... Abby has outdone herself with this story, you wil devour this in one sitting and asking yourself why Jenny, but you will understand why! This book is so full of emotions, you will feel very that Jenny is going through and your heart will break, but there is also a lot of laughs and feel good moments that are shared between her and her best friend Maura those to know how to have a good time. Then the love that Jenny and her family will have you smiling, then there's I was given the opportunity to read for a honest review. Aubrey is on the run from a monster who was suppose to protect and love her. She comes across a man named Daws who changes everything for her. Aubrey is haunted by her past that she doesn't know if she will ever be able to let it not own her. Daws shows her that she is worthy of a life she should have and that she is so strong and not broken, she comes face to face with the monster who took so much from her. Does he pay the price for the abuse he put Audrey through or does he still hold the power. There is a few strong subject that are written in this story but there are also alot of action and is a well written book.the love between Jules and Jenny that will have you on a emotional roller coaster and yes I cried a lot reading this story, there is love, heartbreak, sacrifice, friendship, bikers and mobsters all in one what more could you ask for. You won't be disappointed in this book...

5 Freaking Stars!! I was gifted a copy from the Author for an honest review.
This is bk 3 in this series but I read without reading the first 2 and had no problem following the storyline.

This is my first book from this author and wowza did I love it!!! First off….This copy has been formatted with a special code that will make your computer self destruct upon illegal sharing. I LOVED this!! I instantly knew I wold love this author!

When I started this book, I had just finished a very Italian themed story and was ready for a yummy MC book. Well I got both.

This is the story of Jenny. She has just broke up with a great guy, Drew. He had the nerve to go and start having feelings for her. "I always had to walk away, no matter how much they wanted me to stay. Drew was a nice one, too. She can't get close to anyone, she does this to protect them. Things happen to people when she starts having feelings for them.
After her breakup with Drew, Jenny needed a drink. She pulls into the first bar she sees: Benny's. When she pulls up she sees a lot of motorcycles in the lot. It gave her the impression she could have a lot of fun in there, The type of place she needed. Inside she meets up with Maura. They instantly before friends. Unable to drive home, Maura & Jenny are taken back to the Clubhouse by Daws & Jules, a couple of Devil's Crusaders members.
While riding back to the clubhouse on the back of Jules bike, Jenny is reminded why she can't get close to anyone……..Antonio.

But even with Antonio watching her, reminding her of what will happen. Jenny can't help but want to get to know Jules. She can do this on the DL.

This story when in a direction that I didn't see coming and I LOVE that. I am a spoiler free reviewer, so this is short and sweet. There is sooo much that happens in this book. Do yourself a favor. Get this book & stalk this author!! I can't wait to read more stories from this author!!!

Continuing with Wrecked Series #3, in ‘Hurt You’ is Jenny and Jules story.
And what a fantastic story it was. Again I’m totally in love with Ms McCarthy’s writing style…..
Easy, free-flowing meaningful storyline, addictive, whitey humor, bikers VS mob and romance. Lots of it. My favorite of all!
And all characters intertwined beautifully. From past to present. We learn more about every one of them. I loved that:)!!!
Jenny & Jules have an added twist, unlike the previous two in this series.
My heart ached for Jenny. She was born into a family she’d rather not take part in. She had her own hopes & dreams. Until one incident twisted her world on its access. Never to be the same again. Being stalked, preyed upon like already owned. All in due time.
She’s made the most difficult and life altering decision a young girl should ever have to make. At such a young age. And alone. Keeping a secret from all her loved ones. Dearly close loved ones. Life’s are at steak, she will do anything to keep them safe. She’s extremely passionate about her family.
She sells her soul to the devil, ya know the ones with money, power, authority, ties & connections? She becomes trapped, deflated, with no way out.
Until she meets Jules. He’s a breath of fresh air. They have an immediate connection. Sizzling hot chemistry. But Jenny can’t get close to him, has denied him, shut him down several times. But Jules is stubborn and patient. He waits for her to come around. Trying to keep her safe while blind is anything but a challenge for him.
Jenny’s secret, her impending doom and entrapment to evil is all coming to a head.
Secrets destroy people’s lives. Decisions always lead to consequences.
A full blown out war is coming.
I was graciously gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

A great way to end the series.

I enjoyed Jenny and Jules story. There were so many times I wanted to just slap her and say, tell him already. Like really?!!!
Even though she was dealing with the devil himself, she shouldn't of had any worries with that man she had. At least I wouldn't have.
I mean I see where she was coming from, who wouldn't be scared.

I'm glad that her and Louis became friends, and she convinced Jules to not harm him, because in the end, things would have went very bad without him. He earns respect for that alone!

Jenny had awesome friends, it's just so sad she couldn't confide in them, but for their safety she didn't. She went through hell, pure HELL with that beast of a man.

I can NOT believe that Jules didn't see straight threw her, I mean how could he have not known how she felt. That did throw me for a loop. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, hoping he would bust in to save her.

So glad that his love for her was so strong, and he was so persistent in the end, and actually pissed her off, because it ALL finally surfaced. But it was after way to damn long. So much times they wasted.

But with an ending like this book had, it was all worth it.

This was a great series, and I will read more from Abby McCarthy.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review.

I had never read any of Abby's books before reading Hurt You. This book is part of a series, but worked well as a stand alone. Let me just say, now I've got to read her other books!

This is a soulful story about Jenny and Jules. It is an intensely emotional, angsty ride that had me feeling it as though I was experiencing it first hand. Abby has a way with words and she effortlessly puts you in the story. Her characters are well rounded and perfectly intertwined in the story; they work well together and off of each other.

Jenny is a strong female character; which, I love and gravitate towards. So she was right up my alley. I hated how she had been through so much and was jaded, but loved her strength. Now Jules...ooh la la! I loved him and only wish that I'd found him when I was going through my dating the bad-boy phase. He is strong and rough around the edges, but his sweetness made me swoon. And, let me just say Jenny and Jules together...WOW. They had amazing chemistry and Abby electrified the pages they were on together.

I loved this book and the 'twisty', 'turny' ride that Jenny and Jules took me on. It is a definite MUST read, and one to easily get lost in. Thanks Abby for delivering!!

I received this from the author for an honest review. I have to say first and foremost I just fell in love with Jules and Jenny!!! This book definitely took my emotions for a ride. I found myself wanting to yell at Jenny.

Abby has become one of my favorites, and I find myself being very proud of her and her books. I love how as I read this book I felt and saw her grow as an author. This is how she writes her characters too -- they grow and evolve throughout the story and throughout all her stories.

Make sure as you read this you have your Kleenex near. Because there will be tears, happy tears, sad tears, and mad tears!!!!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Wow. Just wow. Not sure if I just needed to read a good damsel in distress book or if this is just that good but damn this was good! I read this out of order. Haven't read the other two yet as this one called to me first. At first I was irate at the fact that the first part was longer than the second. I wanted more time to experience the rescue and meeting up again than I did the building up. But the build up was just that good! I'm very glad I gave the whole story a chance. It was fulfilling in every way and i just LOVE when a book does that! Five stars! Going on my all time fave\reread list!

I'm not sure since this is the 3rd book if you are suppose to read them in order but even if so this book was really good. I started reading and would of finished it within the day but vacation took over and I had to catch a chapter here and there but now I'm finished and I'm smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I was thinking when I read The End, this can't be it so I turned the page and let out a gasp of relief for an epilogue and one I'm quite happy with. It was filled with all things I love in a book. Romance, suspense, hot alpha male and some
Angst. Glad I caught this one and gave it a go.

h: Jenny (POV)
H: Jules

Jenny has just broken up with her latest boyfriend and goes to the nearest bar, where she meets Maura. Maura and Jenny get pretty drunk, so Maura asks Jules if he will give her a ride on the back of his bike to the clubhouse. As time goes on, Jenny and Jules have a few brief meetings, but Jenny fights the heat between them because she doesn’t want Jules to be hurt due to his interest in her. On Jenny’s 25th birthday, she finally gives into temptation with Jules. Jules isn’t interested in just messing around with Jenny and wants more. They begin a relationship that Jenny insists needs to be secret. Everything comes crashing down when Antonio comes for Jenny.

This book. It ruined me. In the best way possible. I literally had all the feels throughout the entire book. My heart still hasn’t recovered. I stayed up way too late cause I HAD to finish it. Abby McCarthy has a way of creating the perfect balance in her heroes. Jules was sweet, protective and called Jenny out on her bullshit. He jumped straight in with Jenny ready to love her and he did, whole heartedly. I had so much empathy and sorrow for Jenny. She regretfully gives up absolutely everything in her life to protect the ones she loves, even if it means that they end up upset with her and distant. That is the ultimate sacrifice to me. Complete selflessness. This book was probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever read and I do NOT say that lightly. If I could give this more than five stars, I would.

Hurt

This was a great book that touches on something’s I haven’t personally been involved in but I had friends who I helped leave, I was almost in tears many times. Thank you Abby McCarthy for not being afraid of writing about it, this does have a happy ending but all to often stories like this don’t.

I started this book with excitement and great anticipation to see what Abby McCarthy has in store for us this time! Eekkk! Its Jenny and Jules story and I get to spend time with the Devils Crusaders!! Being a very busy reader the one thing I need to love a story, the one major thing for me is the characters. If I don't like the characters the story is no matter to me! Saying that even if I hate a character I still love the characters. They bring me any emotion then I'm line hook and sinker. With this story from the begining I have loved each and everyone and the story...their lives blow me away! Abby this is my 5 star blushing babe review. Because I blush each and and every time!
I fell in love with Jenny from the first time I met her. She is definitely a chick I would love to hang out with...or better yet be a sister with. Her personal ora is one anyone needs around them. Her quick witt, spunk and her love for her friends makes her what she is. But even a person like Jenny can get into a situation that is hard to get out of. In this book I see more into the person she is and her weakness and strength.. with that I love her even more.
"Goodbye", I whispered to myself and then left the women I was for twenty-five years behind. ~ Jenny
As I write that sentence I get the same chills as I read it for the very first time! Abby has done that to me many, many times.
Jules ohhhh sweet, hard on the outside soft in the inside, loveable man. The guys don't see what us girls see....that's okay. Save it all for us Jules! Dam I gotta share him with Jenny?! But Its okay they are just perfect together. I love how I get to see the other side of Jules in this book. He's not just a crazy, tough biker he's so much more! I can't wait for you to meet him....the true and honest him! No wonder Jenny and Maura love him so much!
"Then you should know that not everyone is made for the back of a bike, but you firecracker are made for the back of mine." ~Jule
Rrrr...that man is sexy as hell!! I'll be his firecracker....okay back to what I was saying...LOL!
Hurt you is amazing!! Abby just gets better and better as each story comes out! I was in tears, I was mad.... I wanted to fight someone, I was on the edge of my seat....no this is not happening.....to holy shit, yessss....to back again happy tears!! Abby you did this to me!!! I've been a fan from the first and will continue on....I'm Abby McCarthy Hooked!
What reader in there right mind doesnt love a story that each character is their own, a story with a different mix then all the others. Each and everybook in this series is different while all fitting together perfectly. That to me is hand down a must read! Family, friendship, love, hurt, fight, and determination are all words I use to describe these books. You feel each and every emotion in these books. Making bonds with these characters. They don't just live on the pages they live in your hearts! And we feel this way because Abby brings these very complex characters back so we can truely see how they really are! Thank you so much for that...to let them live and breathe beyond your very talented heart and soul! I can not wait to see the next story and the next person Abby brings alive for us!!

HURT YOU will HOOK YOU!!!

When a dedication reads "For the dreamers, the bullshitters and the fake-it-til-you-make-it-ers, we strive for something"... You're already speaking to me baby... And that is EXACTLY what Abby McCarthy did for an entire book.

"Life doesn't give you easy choices. You just have to do the best you can."- Jenny

Although it's a simple sentence, it means so much. And in certain situations, it could mean surviving the day, the hour... maybe the minute as in Jenny's case in Abby McCarthy's 3rd book of her Wrecked Series, Hurt You.

Jenny comes off of a break up and is looking for a good time. Pulling over in front of a bar lined outside with the motorcycles of the Devil's Crusaders she goes in and her eyes immediately find Maura, who we've met and loved in Abby's previous books. These chicks click and an instant friendship is formed.

One too many drinks later Maura insists Jenny is coming back to the club house and is put on the back of super sexy Jules' bike... and never wants to get off his bike although Jenny knows that she's being watched and the danger that haunts her every minute of her life is closer than she could even imagine. I don't want to say too much about the plot because there is SO much that goes on so I will give you my overall declaration of LOVE for this book...

"Babe, you bleed, I bleed. I'm right there with you,"- Jules

Jules... Oh My Jules... He is not only brutal and gruesome and extraordinarily protective of the people he loves. He is gentle and gorgeous straight to his soul. I literally FELT his soul in this book and it wrapped me up consuming me at points where I couldn't breathe from how much I felt he loved Jenny.

And Jenny... Is are a WARRIOR! She not only has to make the decision of sacrificing herself in order to protect those she loves, which takes the greatest strength of all, but she takes chances. And she loves HARD.

Abby has not only grown as a person through her writing but her characters have grown just as much, maybe more. The way her writing exceeds anything that I have read from her so far, in Hurt You, is a serious understatement. Her story line in this book pushed and pulled my heart from one extreme to the other and, for me as a reader, that is VERY hard to do. Hurt You had me up late at night, had me up early in the morning and taking more "breaks" anyone should be allowed!! What a page turner and pantie soaker! HEHEHE Truly Fantastic Writing! Fantastic Story! Fantastic Characters!
Abby McCarthy KILLS IT in HURT YOU! EXCELLENT READ!!!!!!

5 out of 5 BLUSHES!!!!!

It’s finished!! The final installment of Abby McCarthy’s Wrecked series is complete and it is amazing! Hurt You is the cherry on top of an already great series! Truly, Hurt You takes all of the passion, loyalty, heartache and love from the other books in the series and multiplies them by 1000.
Hurt You is Jenny’s story. I gotta tell you, I was waiting for this one. As a cross-over character in the other books, she was the one that I felt had the most story to tell. Jenny is the kind of woman you want as a friend. She’s hilarious, honest, and fiercely loyal and knows how to have fun. She shoots from the hip, but it isn’t to hurt you. It’s out of her loyalty and love that she tells you like it is. Jenny is also incredibly passionate and sensual. When you combine all of those characteristics, you get a woman who will do anything to protect the ones she loves most, no matter the cost. Sometimes, this serves her well. Sometimes, it only complicates an already complicated situation, but it is ALWAYS because she will go to hell and back for her family and friends.
While Jenny’s story is a great one, having her meet her match makes it even better. Jules Federico is the perfect complement to Jenny. He’s fiercely loyal, deeply passionate and sexy as all get out. A former Marine and all around badass, Jules will also protect those he loves whatever the consequences. When he and Jenny finally stop dancing around each other (and oh what a dance it is), passion explodes and love blossoms. But all is not sunshine and roses for Jules and Jenny. Jenny has a secret, and it’s a doozy. Her secret keeps her living her life one step away from losing everyone she loves, including herself. Jules knows she’s hiding something, if he could just get her to open up to him and share…
Hurt You is, by far, my favorite book in the Wrecked series. Jenny and Jules made me feel and cry and laugh and get all swoony. I was afraid for them. I was angry for them. I felt helpless and lost with them. I needed them to beat the odds because I was so invested in their lives. There were times when my feelings were as raw as the characters. There were times when I had to stop reading because my tears were clouding my vision. Bottom line, I love this book.
It has been a true pleasure to witness Abby’s growth as an author. Her confidence in her story was clearly evident. Her love for Jenny and Jules undeniable. Abby hit the nail on the head with Hurt You. 5 stars for you, my friend. 5 stars.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review.

"I wish I had a different choice to make. Life doesn't always give you easy choices. You just have to do the best you can."

Hurt You is book 3 in the Wrecked series by the amazing Abby McCarthy. This is Jenny and Jules’ book and by far my favourite in the series. This is an intricate story told in part past and present day and in both POVs.

Right from the prologue I was sucked in. The book has fast-forwarded a few years and the fun loving and sassy hairdresser from book 1 and 2 is gone, and we are introduced to a totally different, broken and jaded Jenny. What could have happened to make her this way? To find this out, we need to go back into Jenny’s past...

"Right now, I’m choosing to close my eyes and live in the past, if only for a while. Maybe here, I can remember what it was like when he touched me."

Jenny has known true evil since she was 16-years-old and she has kept this secret from everyone. She will do anything to keep her family safe, even if it means sacrificing her happiness. With her future set, Jenny wanted to enjoy what little freedom she has left, living it to the fullest. What she didn't count on was falling in love. When Jules comes into her life, Jenny does everything she can to deny her feelings for him. But Jules is one stubborn sexy biker who won’t take no for an answer. You will love Jules.

"Let me spell it out real clear for you then. You and me were inevitable. I staked a claim to my brothers the first time I put you on the back of my bike."

Jenny is not willing to involve Jules in her messed up past and doomed future. Evil is always watching her, waiting for his time to pounce. She was never allowed to fully embrace any sort of relationship, but with Jules, she wanted him more than anything. The only way this can work, even just for a little while, is if they keep their relationship a secret…

What happens when Antonio comes to collect what he thinks belongs to him? Jenny has to make the ultimate choice to keep her loved ones safe. I don't want to give too much away, you will have to read to find out what occurs next.

Although each book in this series can be read as a standalone, the author did a fantastic job tying all three stories together, seamlessly. I freaking loved this book and I couldn't put it down.

This is definitely a must read for this year!

***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***

This was my first book by the author, and even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. I thought that this was a really interesting story that had a lot going on. There was an eclectic mix of bikers and mafia story line here that was different from the norm.

This is really a book about love in all of its forms. Love of self, love of others and a love that is willing to sacrifice itself. Jenny is a woman who grew up in the wrong family and was dealt a crap hand all around. She was never allowed to just be who she wanted to be, because she always had to be who others wanted or needed her to be. She was trapped in a dangerous situation with no real way out, yet that was all she wanted. She wanted to be free of her gilded cage. She wanted to experience life the way that others could. Her life changed the day she walked into a bar and met her future best friend Maura. Meeting her was the beginning of a new life for Jenny, as she was introduced to Jules that same day. While she never imagined things getting serious between her and Jules because of the way she was forced to live her life in fear, she began to develop feelings for him, but ultimately chose to let him go.

Jules was a very determined man, after all, he was a badass alpha male biker, and determined that Jenny hadn't seen the last of him. When he reentered her life, he had no idea how much things had changed or the challenge that was before him. While he was a strong man who was capable of many dangerous things, he had a sweet side that came out around Jenny. Jules was the type of man that all of us wish we had in our corner. Someone who is loving, loyal and committed. Someone who would go to bat for us in a heartbeat.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns that this book took. I liked the originality of the story line, and the author's writing style. I found it easy to follow along when introduced into the previous characters stories, and really found the relationships between Jenny and Maura and Jules and Jenny to be funny and heartfelt. I love when a book manages to be witty and serious, thought provoking and filled with just the right amount of angst and grit. This book has a lot of drama, but also a lot of heart. I definitely recommend it.

What a great love story with the edge of danger just on the horizon.

Jenny has a big loving family. The only girl in a house full of boys. She is loved and cherished. Her father and older brother are taken away from her family because of the hazards of their line of work. Now she helps her family to raise her nephew Gino. She has a secret from her family though and this secret is tearing her apart. She knows she can never have a true love. She can have her fun but never give her heart to a special someone. Never have that forever kind of love. The consequences are too high to pay.
Jules is an ex-marine and a member of the Devil Crusaders MC. He is a protective man when it comes to women because of things from his childhood. He is a patient man, waiting for what he wants and very loyal. But how long can a man wait?
Jenny and Jules met by chance. Jenny came to a bar to drink away the man she just dumped and have some fun. Jules was there with his mc brothers. They were keeping an eye on the presidents daughter, Maura. Jenny and Maura hit it off on the first shot and all the shots after that one. By the end of the night they were way too drunk and on the way to being best friends.
Jenny ended up on the back of Jules' bike at closing time and so it begins. Jules is patient but he knows he wants her. She knows it can't happen. She can never be attached. She always has eyes on her. Eyes no one is aware of but her. She can never chance it .
Hurt you is an intriguing book with twist and turns through it's journey. So many hidden secrets. The attraction between Jules and Jenny is way too hot to ignore. The plot turns will keep you on the edge of your seat. The length Jenny goes to keep her secrets is heart wrenching and it's a story of a real love that has to be denied.
I truly enjoyed this book. This is a real well rounded book that encompasses so much that it can cross many genres . This is the last book in the series and I believe she saved the best for last.
Great book Abby McCarthy and great job. Thank you so much for your hard work.

**JODIE'S REVIEW**

So normally when I read a book I highlight and talk thru the quotes. I literally have not a single thing highlighted other than words. WHY DID I HIGHLIGHT WORDS?!?! I know why!! It’s because I was so invested in this story I would start to highlight then decide I didn’t care about quotes because I was lost in the words!! I think the words are like bread crumbs to full quotes I was in love with!! It is definitely not because I didn’t fall in love with lines. Abby completely outdid herself with this book. I wasn’t expecting to fall the way I fell with this book. The range of emotions Abby takes you on with these characters is what I think surprised me the most. This book gave a hard look at a reality a lot of women grow up with. The way relationships can be run by fear and how sometimes sharing a secret can save your life.

I was in love with Jenny!! She is this little ball of energy that you are instantly attracted too. She has a strong family bond which leads to some of her reasoning and I think because I have a similar bond with my brother I instantly understood her. Which leads me to Jenny’s secret… Antonio. He is a character you instantly hate, he is a character that makes you want to kick your kindle. Yep he is a kindle kicker. Seriously the thought of him gets me completely livid. He was written perfect. Every book needs the character that makes your skin crawl and your crazy to come out.

But perfection doesn’t even begin to describe Jules. As much as Jenny loved this man I loved him more. He is this perfect protector, it could be because I am in the middle of a SOA binge but this man was everything you think of when you think MC perfection. Jenny and Jules don’t have an easy road and the through the whole book I was cursing, crying, and laughing. I almost think the book made me bipolar. But it is absolutely the perfect way for Abby to end this series and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!!!

Jenny never lets any man get close. If she does Antonio reminds her that she belongs to him and he will come for her one day. After a break up she decides to have fun and stops at a bar. There she meets Maura and is introduced to The Devil’s Crusader’s Motorcycle Club. Jules is suppose to be a diversion for her but her heart thinks otherwise. When Jules admits his love Antonio swoops in and changes Jenny's life.

"Life is ugly and hard. I tried to do my best to dance through it, but what I should've learned is that if the rhythm is off and you can't catch a beat, you just look like a fool. I was a fool to believe it would all work out. I was a fool to believe in love."

Jenny is a strong, funny lady but she is always looking over her shoulder waiting for Antonio. She does what she needs to to save her family and the ones she loves. This includes breaking thing off with Jules. It breaks her heart and his. As she is trapped in a relationship with Antonio she looses herself and alienates herself from her family and friends. Jules is hard core but you will also see his softer side. Years later Jules see her and knows that something is not right. Can he save her before it is too late? Can they find their love again?

I love the rawness that the story told. Ms. McCarthy always does a great job of writing a story that is not only about love but suspense, angst, and survival. You will fall in love with the characters. This can be read as a stand alone but I have read the other books in this series and love them also. I highly suggest that you read about the alpha males of The Devil's Crusader's MC Club and their women.

Hurt You by Abby McCarthy

This book contains strong sexual scenes and violence against women…..
There were some grammar and punctuation mistakes but it didn’t affect the book at all.

Fight You, series is one of my favorite stories and so I had high expectations for Hurt You and it didn't disappoint. It was everything I hoped for and more. It was gripping, intense, hot, sweet, beautiful and heartbreaking.

Abby has a way with words and she effortlessly makes you feel like you’re in the story. Her characters are well rounded and perfectly intertwined in the story; they work well together and off of each other. The way they come alive is unbelievable.

Jenny is fun, loving and life of the party; she holds her family dear to her heart and will do anything to protect them. Jenny comes from a strong Italian family were they come together no matter the cost? There aren't too many people that would sacrifice their own happiness for their family.

Jules is a hot biker who happens to be a member of The Devil’s Crusader’s Motorcycle Club. Jules was only supposed to be a diversion for Jenny. Fun times with no strings attached. She didn't intend to fall for him but she did

Antonio is just pure evil, narcissistic, and he has been stalking Jenny since she was 16 years old and was waiting is waiting for his chance to pounce. Antonio stops at nothing to have Jenny and when he does get her he treats her like garbage.

Will Jenny and Jules have a happily ever after? Or will Antonio get his way and destroy everything Jenny cares about?

I highly recommend this book!!!!!

This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend to read the other books in this series.
